Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the heat transfer profile in the artificial egg hatching process that approaches the natural process using interface boundary conditions. Simulations are carried out by varying the temperature and length of the egg axis, with solutions using the θ-method. The steps taken include parameter identification, program creation using Matlab software, simulation, and analysis of results. The results of the study showed that the fastest heat transfer in quail eggs was at a temperature of 37°C, chicken eggs at 38°C or 39°C, and duck eggs at 37°C or 39°C. The fastest heat transfer occurred when the length of the egg axis was below average. Keywords: Egg; Heat; Matlab; θ-Method.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematical reasoning is a mental activity that connects relevant facts to draw conclusions based on valid arguments. This research aims to describe the mathematical reasoning of high school students with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities in solving problems. This research also offers a comprehensive understanding of how varying levels of mathematical ability influence students' reasoning processes in problem-solving. This research used qualitative methods with the subjects being three students in class X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, each representing high, medium, and low levels of mathematical ability. Research instruments include mathematical ability tests, mathematical reasoning tests, and interview guidelines, with triangulation of time to ensure the validity of data. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and concluding data. The research results show that students with high mathematical abilities can explain information in verbal and symbolic form, develop problem-solving strategies, carry out mathematical manipulations, provide reasons for solutions, check the correctness of each stage, and provide conclusions on the solution process. Students with moderate abilities show similar abilities but do not provide conclusions about the solution process. Meanwhile, students with low abilities also showed similar solution steps but did not provide conclusions about the solution process. These findings provide insight into differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities based on their mathematical ability. Abstrak Penalaran matematis adalah aktivitas mental yang menghubungkan fakta-fakta relevan untuk menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan argumen yang valid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran matematis siswa SMA dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini juga memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai bagaimana tingkat kemampuan matematika memengaruhi proses penalaran siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan subjek tiga siswa kelas X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, masing-masing mewakili tingkat kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan matematika, tes penalaran matematis, dan pedoman wawancara, dengan triangulasi waktu untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, pemaparan, dan penarikan kesimpulan dari data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi mampu menjelaskan informasi dalam bentuk verbal dan simbol, menyusun strategi penyelesaian masalah, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan terhadap solusi yang diberikan, memeriksa kebenaran setiap tahapan, dan memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Siswa berkemampuan sedang menunjukkan kemampuan serupa, tetapi tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Sementara itu, siswa berkemampuan rendah juga menunjukkan langkah-langkah penyelesaian serupa, namun tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan mengenai perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Kata Kunci:Menyelesaikan Masalah; Kemampuan Matematika; Penalaran Matematis.

Abstract

Abstract The rapid advancement of technology, the ever-evolving social and cultural dynamics, environmental transformations, and the differing characteristics of the future job market have significantly impacted education at all levels and across all aspects of culture. These factors have served as the driving force behind the emergence of the Pancasila Student Profile, which is one of the key implementations of the Merdeka Curriculum. This descriptive qualitative research study aims to examine the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) under the theme of entrepreneurship, integrated with social arithmetic material. The researcher employed purposive sampling to determine the research subjects: three educators and six students. Data was collected through student activity observations, P5 implementation interview guidelines, and social arithmetic tests. The data were analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model involving the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings reveal that the P5 design process includes planning time allocation and dimensions, identifying school readiness, selecting a general theme, determining specific topics, designing project modules, selecting dimensions, elements, and sub-elements, and exploring the project flow. The implementation demonstrated strong integration between school readiness, project execution, and structured evaluation. Despite some challenges, such as student discipline issues and limited supervision, the project improved students' understanding of the subject matter. It supported the development of key Pancasila Student Profile dimensions, namely critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Furthermore, the results of the social arithmetic tests indicate that the P5 implementation contributed to improving students' conceptual understanding. Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat cepat, dinamika sosial dan budaya yang terus berubah, transformasi lingkungan hidup, serta perbedaan karakteristik dunia kerja di masa depan memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap pendidikan di semua jenjang dan pada setiap aspek kebudayaan merupakan hal yang melatarbelakangi munculnya Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang merupakan salah satu bentuk Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskripstif bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dengan tema kewirausahaan pada materi aritmatika sosial. Peneliti menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling dalam penentuan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari 3 subjek dari pendidik dan 6 siswa. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi aktivitas siswa, pedoman wawancara keterlaksanaan P5, dan tes aritmatika sosial. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis kualitatif model interaktif dengan tahapan: kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses desain P5 terdiri atas merancang alokasi waktu dan dimensi, mengidentifikasi kesiapan sekolah, memilih tema umum, penentuan topik spesifik, merancang modul projek, pemilihan dimensi, elemen dan sub-elemen, dan mengeksplorasi alur projek. Keterlaksanaan menunjukkan integrasi yang baik antara kesiapan sekolah, pelaksanaan projek, dan evaluasi terstruktur. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti ketidaktertiban siswa dan kurangnya kontrol, projek ini efektif dalam membantu pemahaman materi dan mendukung tercapainya dimensi bernalar kritis, kreatif, dan bergotong royong. Kemudian, hasil tes aritmatika sosial, terlihat bahwa pelaksanaan P5 dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to integrate the Research-Based Learning (RBL) model with the STEM approach and graph theory in solving transportation and logistics optimization problems to enhance students’ computational thinking skills. The model is designed to train students in identifying transportation and logistics issues, exploring solutions based on graph theory, and analyzing and optimizing distribution routes using algorithms such as Dijkstra and Floyd-Warshall. This research employs a narrative qualitative method, analyzing research-based learning through six RBL-STEM phases: problem identification, initial solution exploration, data collection, data analysis, result interpretation, and model presentation. The results show that this approach significantly improves students’ skills in problem decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, and abstraction in solving real-world problems. Concretely, students demonstrated an average score improvement of 23% in computational thinking indicators after participating in the learning process, particularly in designing optimal route graph models and constructing algorithmic logic for route selection. Moreover, the use of technologies such as Google Maps and graph modeling software enables students to perform real-time data-driven analysis. Therefore, this study proves that the integration of RBL-STEM and graph theory not only enhances conceptual understanding of transportation and logistics optimization but also equips students with applicable computational thinking skills for real-world contexts. This learning model can serve as a reference in developing more innovative and industry-relevant STEM-based teaching strategies. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the effect of using the discovery learning model assisted by animated videos on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes on geometric shapes' properties. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group approach. All eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Kahu constituted the population, with two classes randomly selected as samples. Class VIII A was the experimental group, which used the discovery learning model assisted by animated videos, while Class VIII B acted as the control group without using animated videos. The research instrument was a learning outcome test designed to assess students' understanding of the material. The findings indicated that the average score in the experimental class was 58, which was higher than that of the control class, which only achieved an average score of 52.32. The mastery learning level in the experimental class was also higher at 50%, compared to only 19% in the control class. Statistical analysis using the Mann-Whitney test yielded a Zhitung value of -2.041 with a significance level of 0.041 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that implementing the discovery learning model assisted by animated videos significantly affects students' learning outcomes. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan video animasi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi sifat-sifat bangun geometri. Penelitian ini menerapkan desain eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan posttest-only control group design. Seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Kahu menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini, dengan sampel dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Kelas VIII A merupakan kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model discovery learning dengan bantuan video animasi, sedangkan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol tanpa bantuan video animasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di kelas eksperimen rata-rata hasil belajar mencapai 58, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 52,32. Tingkat ketuntasan belajar di kelas eksperimen juga lebih baik, yaitu sebesar 50%, dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang hanya mencapai 19%. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dengan nilai Zhitung sebesar -2,041 dan signifikansi 0,041 (< 0,05), yang berarti hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan bantuan video animasi memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Abstract STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education is increasingly becoming a major fokus in education, with the goal of equipping students with 21st-century skills. Mathematics serves as a foundation in STEM, supporting conceptual understanding in science and engineering. However, the integration of mathematics into the STEM curriculum remains a challenge, such as teacher readiness, curriculum flexibility, and the availability of supporting media and technology. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) aims to examine the latest developments and future directions of STEM education with a fokus on curriculum integration and pedagogical approaches involving mathematics. This study uses the PRISMA approach, selecting 48 articles from the Scopus database that are relevant to this topic. The results show that manipulative tools (concrete and virtual), interdisciplinary approaches, and educational technology play a significant role in the successful integration of mathematics into STEM. The main contribution of this study is to provide a thematic map of trends, approaches, and challenges in integrating mathematics, as well as suggesting directions for further research to develop adaptive and collaborative STEM learning models. Abstrak Pendidikan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) semakin menjadi fokus utama dalam dunia pendidikan, dengan tujuan membekali siswa dengan keterampilan abad ke-21. Matematika berperan sebagai fondasi dalam STEM, mendukung pemahaman konsep dalam bidang sains dan teknik. Namun, integrasi matematika dalam kurikulum STEM masih menjadi tantangan, seperti kesiapan guru, fleksibilitas kurikulum, serta ketersediaan media dan teknologi pendukung. Kajian Sistematis Literatur (SLR) ini bertujuan untuk menelaah perkembangan terbaru dan arah masa depan pendidikan STEM dengan fokus pada integrasi kurikulum dan pendekatan pedagogis yang melibatkan matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan PRISMA, dengan memilih 48 artikel dari database Scopus yang relevan dengan topik ini. Hasil menunjukan bahwa alat bantu manipulatif (konkret dan virtual), pendekatan interdisipliner, serta teknologi pendidikan memainkan peran penting dalam keberhasilan integrasi matematika dalam STEM. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah memberikan peta tematik terkait tren, pendekatan dan tantangan dalam integrasikan matematika, serta menyarankan arah fokus penelitian selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran STEM yang adaptif dan kolaboratif. Abstract

Abstract Written mathematical communication is important in learning mathematics because it helps students convey ideas systematically and revise solutions more easily. In problem solving, mathematical communication serves to understand, design, and communicate strategies in writing. One of the factors that influences mathematical communication is gender, which shapes students' thinking, communication patterns, and problem-solving strategies. This study aims to describe junior high school students' mathematical communication in solving Pythagorean Theorem problems in terms of gender. This study used a qualitative descriptive design, involving two students who were purposively selected and identified through the Bem Sex Role Inventory as students with dominant feminine or masculine characteristics. The results show that both students demonstrated mathematical communication in understanding the problem, planning the solution, and implementing the solution. (1) The male student illustrated and wrote down accurate but incomplete information. He planned the solution by illustrating and writing down the steps and formulas accurately and fluently but incompletely. Illustrations, calculation processes, and conclusions were expressed accurately and fluently, but were incomplete. (2) The female student wrote down information and a solution plan accurately and fluently, but they were incomplete. She expressed the calculation process accurately and fluently, but it was incomplete; while the conclusion was accurate, complete, and fluent. Keywords: gender; student mathematical communication; problems; pythagorean theorem Abstrak Komunikasi matematis tulisan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika karena membantu siswa menyampaikan ide secara sistematis dan merevisi solusi dengan lebih mudah. Dalam penyelesaian masalah, komunikasi matematis berfungsi untuk memahami, merancang, dan mengkomunikasikan strategi secara tertulis. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi komunikasi matematis adalah gender, yang turut membentuk cara berpikir, pola komunikasi, dan strategi penyelesaian masalah siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah Teorema Pythagoras ditinjau dari gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif, dengan melibatkan dua siswa yang dipilih secara purposif dan diidentifikasi melalui Bem Sex Role Inventory sebagai siswa dengan ciri feminin atau maskulin dominan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kedua siswa menampilkan komunikasi matematis pada langkah memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, dan melaksanakan penyelesaian. (1) Siswa laki-laki mengilustrasikan dan menuliskan informasi akurat namun kurang lengkap. Merencanakan penyelesaian dengan mengilustrasikan dan menuliskan langkah-langkah dan rumus dengan akurat dan lancar namun kurang lengkap. Ilustrasi, proses perhitungan, dan kesimpulan diungkapkan dengan akurat dan lancar, namun kurang lengkap. (2) Siswa perempuan menuliskan informasi dan rencana penyelesaian akurat dan lancar, namun kurang lengkap. Abstract

Abstract The integration of computational thinking (CT) into mathematics is highly strategic due to the cognitive overlap between the two fields. However, the validity and reliability of its measurement instruments remain major challenges. This study aims to map the development of CT test instruments in mathematics through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 8 empirical articles (2021-2025). The novelty of this research lies in the critical analysis of psychometric quality and the characteristics of domain-specific mathematics instruments. The results indicate a dominance of development at the elementary school level (50%). Critical findings reveal significant variations in reliability, where low coefficients (0.27 and 0.33) indicate the limitations of classical statistics in measuring multidimensional CT. The conclusion emphasizes the urgency of shifting to modern psychometric analysis (Rasch/IRT) and expanding instrument development to higher education levels to ensure the continuity of student cognitive measurement from basic to advanced levels. Abstrak Integrasi berpikir komputasional (CT) dalam matematika sangat strategis karena adanya tumpang tindih kognitif antara dua bidang. Namun, validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen pengukuran masih menjadi tantangan utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan pengembangan instrumen tes CT dalam matematika melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 8 artikel empiris (2021-2025). Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada analisis kritis kualitas psikometrik dan karakteristik instrumen spesifik domain matematika. Hasil menunjukkan dominasi pengembangan pada jenjang SD (50%). Temuan kritis mengungkap variasi reliabilitas signifikan, di mana koefisien rendah (0,27 dan 0,33) mengindikasikan keterbatasan statistik klasik dalam mengukur CT yang multidimensi. Simpulan menekankan urgensi pergeseran ke analisis psikometrik modern (Rasch/IRT) serta perluasan pengembangan instrumen pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi guna menjamin kesinambungan pengukuran kognitif siswa dari level dasar hingga tinggi. Abstract

Abstract Mathematical critical thinking skills are very important skills and need to be improved during the mathematics learning process, in line with the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes critical reasoning as part of the graduate profile. However, in practice, students still have difficulty solving story problems. The purpose of this study was to describe the critical thinking skills of ninth-grade junior high school students at the UPT SMPN 13 GRESIK in solving story problems in terms of mathematical disposition. This is a descriptive qualitative study using an in-depth case study approach to analyze students' mathematical critical-thinking abilities in relation to their level of mathematical disposition. The research subjects were three students who represented the three levels of mathematical disposition: high, medium, and low. The subjects are selected by the discretion of the mathematics teacher and based on a mathematical disposition questionnaire. The given problem was 1 story problem that contained all indicators of mathematical critical-thinking skills. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests and interviews, with time triangulation to ensure data validity. The conclusion drawn from the results of this study is that students with a high level of mathematical disposition can meet all indicators of critical thinking skills, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Students with a medium level of mathematical disposition can demonstrate three indicators of critical thinking skills: interpretation, analysis, and inference. Meanwhile, students with a low level of mathematical disposition can only fulfill two indicators of critical thinking skills, namely interpretation and analysis. Keywords: Mathematical Disposition; Critical Thinking Ability; Story Problems.   Abstrak Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting dan perlu ditingkatkan selama proses pembelajaran matematika, sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan penalaran kritis sebagai bagian dari profil lulusan. Namun, dalam praktik pembelajaran, masih ditemukan siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP kelas IX di UPT SMPN 13 GRESIK dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita ditinjau dari disposisi matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus mendalam yang berfokus pada analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa berdasarkan tingkat disposisi matematis. Subjek penelitian berjumlah tiga orang yang masing-masing mewakili siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tingkat tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Subjek tersebut dipilih atas pertimbangan guru matematika dan berdasarkan angket disposisi matematis. Soal yang diberikan berupa 1 soal cerita yang memuat semua indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah tes dan wawancara dengan menggunaan triangulasi waktu untuk keabsahan data. Simpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tingkat tinggi dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi dan inferensi. siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tingkat sedang dapat memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi, analisis dan inferensi. Sementara itu, siswa yang memiliki disposisi matematis tingkat rendah hanya dapat memenuhi 2 indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi dan analisis. Abstract

Abstract This study is based on the condition that the learning outcomes of Grade X D students at SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya in trigonometry were still at a less optimal level. The purpose of this study was to improve the trigonometry learning outcomes of Grade X D students at SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya through the implementation of an inquiry-based learning model integrated with the use of the GeoGebra application involving 27 students. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted through four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and tests, and the obtained data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The results showed that the percentage of students achieving classical learning mastery at the end of Cycle I was 48.15%, which increased to 85.19% at the end of Cycle II. The implementation score of teacher instructional activities reached 85.9 in Cycle I and increased to 91.7 in Cycle II. In addition, the implementation of students’ learning activities in both Cycle I and Cycle II demonstrated excellent results, achieving a percentage of 100%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of an inquiry-based learning model supported by the GeoGebra application is effective in improving the trigonometry learning outcomes of Grade X D students at SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya. Abstrak Penelitian ini didasarkan pada kondisi hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X D SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya pada materi trigonometri yang masih berada pada tingkat kurang optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X D SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya pada materi trigonometri melalui penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri yang dipadukan dengan penggunaan aplikasi GeoGebra pada 27 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan, meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi dan tes, kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal pada akhir siklus I sebesar 48,15% dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 85,19% pada akhir siklus II. Skor keterlaksanaan aktivitas guru dalam proses pembelajaran pada siklus I mencapai 85,9 dan meningkat menjadi 91,7 pada siklus II. Selain itu, keterlaksanaan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik dengan persentase mencapai 100. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri yang didukung oleh aplikasi GeoGebra efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X D SMA Negeri 1 Rote Barat Daya pada materi trigonometri.
