Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of being a learning solution by developingan E-Module Total Physical Response (TPR) method in introducing vocabularyto children aged 4-5 years (development research in group A, Nusa Indah Kindergarten,North Toto Village, Tilongkabila District, Kab. Bone Bolango, Gorontalo).The method used in this study is a research and development method with the Hannafinand Peck model. In collecting data using observation, interviews, documentationand questionnaires in the form of questionnaires. The results of the expert validationtest showed that 83%, with the E-Modul product category, was very suitablefor use in learning. In the small group trial by the teacher, it got a percentage scoreof 89%, with the E-Modul product category being very well used in the learningprocess. The small group trial on children got a score of 3, with the E-Modul productcategory being good for use in the learning process. As for the field trial, the teachergot a percentage score of 90%, with the E-Modul product category being very wellused in learning. And field trials on children got a score of 3, with the E-Modulproduct category being good for use in learning. Based on the trial data, the developmentof the E-Modul Total Physical Response learning method provides benefitsto children by developing the six aspects of child development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how important scientific literacy skills are in early childhood. Scientific literacy skills have a role in everyday life so that realizing scientific literacy skills in children can be done through the application of discovery learning models in the learning process. The discovery learning model has a character so that learning that applies the discovery learning model approach is able to build children's curiosity to form knowledge independently. This study uses a qualitative method with the main source is a literature review. The data collection technique used literature study which collected data through books and journals. The data obtained from the literature study were collected and processed by editing, organizing, and finding results. This study in in Kindergarten Al Islam Surakarta. The output of this study is a recommendation regarding the application of the discovery learning model to be able to assist in realizing scientific literacy skills in children. Supported by the importance of scientific literacy skills possessed by early childhood in the 21st century today where every individual is required to have the ability to think critically, think creatively, and one of the skills that need to be possessed is scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

Educational problems in general are often faced by students from the beginning of school, they often find it difficult to adjust to their environment, teachers, school rules, friends at school and so on. This study aims to determine the interaction of democratic parenting, peer assistance, and interest in learning partially or together on the logical thinking ability of students in Group B Kindergarten Gugus Anggrek, Jaten District.This study uses a quantitative design with an emphasis on explanation (explanatory research). The population consisted of all guardians of students and kindergarten students from the Orchid cluster, Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency which consisted of 5 kindergarten institutions. The sample is 45 kindergarten students in group B, with n random methods. The questionnaire instrument was first tested for validity and reliability on students other than respondents. Data analysis technique using Multiple Linear Regression test. The results showed that partially democratic parenting and interest had a positive and significant effect, while peer assistance had a positive but not significant effect on logical thinking ability. Simultaneously, the three variables have a positive and significant impact on logical thinking skills

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve students' learning achievement through enhancing students' metacognition ability in understanding the material of students' development. The study was conducted due to the unsatisfactory learning achievement of the students that did not meet the expected competency standards. The pre-intervention scores of the students were 2.70% in the excellent category (A), 27.03% in the moderate category (B), 64.86% in the sufficient category, and the rest were below the standard. The research subjects were 49 second-semester students consisting of 31 students from the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program and 18 students from the Informatics Engineering Education (PTI) program. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. The success indicator was determined by the action declared successful if the average value was above 75 and the number of students who passed the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) was more than 80%. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that the application of the cooperative learning model could improve students' learning achievement in understanding the material of students' development through enhancing their metacognitive abilities.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa pentingnya penguatan sikap social pada anak usia dini. Sikap sosial perlu dididik sejak usia dini. Terhambatnya kemampuan sikap sosial akan menimbulkan kesulitan bagi anak dalam menjalani kehidupan. Sikap sosial adalah komponen mendasar yang melibatkan kemampuan untuk melihat sesuatu dari sudut pandang orang lain dan dimensi afektif yang melibatkan berbagi emosi orang lain. Anak yang kurang menguasai sikap sosial akan mengalami kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi dan berhubungan dengan orang lain. Mereka mengalami masalah dalam bermain, bekerja dan belajar dengan anak-anak lain, yang mungkin mengakibatkan tingkat isolasi tertentu. Di lingkungan sekolah, mereka biasanya menghadapi risiko diabaikan atau ditolak dan tidak memiliki teman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang penguatan sikap sosial pada anak usia dini melalui pengasuhan berbasis budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi literatur. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan yang mengumpulkan data melalui buku dan jurnal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan di Taman Kanak-kanak Al Islam Kota Surakarta. Luaran dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi tentang pengasuhan berbasis budaya dapat menguatkan sikap sosial pada anak usia dini. Dikatakan pengasuhan yang tepat akan menjadikan anak matang untu setiap proses perkembangan bersosialisasi. Abstract This study aims to find out how important it is to strengthen social attitudes in early childhood. Social attitudes need to be educated from an early age. The inhibition of the ability of social attitudes will cause difficulties for children in living life. Social attitude is a fundamental component which involves the ability to see things from another person's point of view and the affective dimension which involves sharing the emotions of others. Children who do not master social attitudes will have difficulty communicating and relating to others. They have problems playing, working and studying with other children, which may result in a certain degree of isolation. In the school environment, they usually run the risk of being ignored or rejected and have no friends. This study aims to describe the strengthening of social attitudes in early childhood through culture-based parenting. The research method used in This research is a literature study research. The data collection technique uses a literature study that collects data through books and journals. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The implementation of this research was carried out at Al Islam Kindergarten, Surakarta City. The output of this study is recommendations about cultural-based parenting that can strengthen social attitudes in early childhood. Abstract

Early childhood character, does not just happen. Early childhood character formation   in influenced by environmental factors that shape children’s character, be it in the family environment, school, peers, and society. The community environment is an environment that is close to the child is part of the community where they live, so the character formation of the child will be adjusted to the norms, customs, and regulations in the community where the child lives. Therefore, it is important for adults around children to create a conductive and child-friendly community environment, so that children’s character formation will run well.

Abstract

At this pandemic era teachers be accused for do learning, the learning that makes it possible for use is online class. Whit the online class, teachers can help students for momorize verse. The purpose of this study was to know about process memorize at the online class and how the teacher deals with the problem come up at the lerning. Research began in September 2020 until August 2021 at RA Ar-Rasyid Kartasura. This type of research is description qualitative, collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Data collected than triangulasi method. The results of this study indicate that memorization learning with an online model is going well. The teacher prepares a memorizing lesson plan starting from daily planning to every semester. The target for memorization in the superior class is to be able to memorize juz 30, names of letters 1-60, daily prayers, selected hadiths, and Asmaul Husna. The teacher uses the talqin method in its implementation, WhatsApp Group is used as a learning medium, animated videos, video calls, and rote recordings are used as teaching materials. In one day children memorize one verse. Learning evaluation is carried out in two stages, they are weekly evaluation and semester evaluation. Evaluation is carried out online with children sending videos or voice recordings, while offline evaluations are carried out by scheduling.

Abstract

The traditional game is one of the cultures that has been passed down from generation to generation by every community in various regions and has its types and benefits. In the era of technological developments that are all sophisticated today, it has resulted in traditional games being eliminated and replaced by the use of online games which attract more attention to children's playing activities. The purpose of this study is to identify several implementations of traditional games in Java that can rebuild local wisdom values ​​in everyday life and integrate traditional games into learning and playing activities related to aspects of child development. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the method of literature study or literature review. Through several sources and reading materials, explanations are related to three traditional Javanese games, namely engklek, gobag sodor, and dakon. The results of this study are traditional Javanese games are able to instill a love for the homeland for children and provide understanding to teachers with three traditional games that can be applied to children's learning and playing environments and stimulate aspects of child development from an early age.

Abstract

IMPROVING COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT IN KNOWLEDGE OF NUMBER SYMBOLS THROUGH NUMBERS FISHING GAMES IN CLASS A TK PERTIWI 01 JETIS DISTRICT JATEN, KARANGANYAR DISTRICT IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023. Thesis. Surakarta. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. July 2023This study aims to find out how to improve cognitive development in recognizing number symbols through a number fishing game in class A Kindergarten Pertiwi 01 Jetis. This study uses a class action research model from Kemmis & Mc. Taggart, the subjects of this study were 15 students. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The research instrument used observation guides, data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptions, indicators of success were determined, namely if at least 75% of 15 children had an increase in cognitive development in recognizing number symbols through a number fishing game with very good development criteria.The results of the study show that fishing for this number can improve cognitive abilities in class A Kindergarten Pertiwi 01 Jetis. This is evidenced in the achievement of very well developed indicators. In cycle I, the cognitive development of children experienced an increase of 9 out of 15 children or 60% were in the starting to develop category. Whereas in cycle II the cognitive development of children experienced an increase of 14 out of 15 children or 93.3% in the very well developed category and developed according to expectations. The study was stopped until cycle II because it met the success indicator criteria, namely at least 75% of 15 children. This proves that fishing for numbers can improve cognitive development in recognizing number symbols.Keywords: Cognitive Development, Number Symbol, Number Fishing Game
