al-Afkar, Journal for Islamic Studies is published by Association of Secondment Lecturers (Asosiasi Dosen DPK) UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung Indonesia. Focus of al-Afkar, Journal for Islamic Studies is on publishing original empirical research articles and theoretical reviews of Islamic Studies, it covers various issues on the Islamic studies within such number of fields as Islamic Education, Islamic thought, Islamic law, political Islam, and Islamic economics from social and cultural perspectives and content analysis from al-Qur’an and Hadist.
In other than forementioned field in Islamic Studies, al-Afkar, Journal for Islamic Studies also accepts articles which cover the topic on the cross section between Islam Studies and other scientific field, such as sociology, law, economics, and others.

<![CDATA[This study aims to rationalize the Aswaja-based Islamic education strategy to counter radicalism. This research method uses literature by analyzing published, unpublished books, journals and research that are in line with the theme of moderate Islamic education through NU-an Aswaja. The results of this study are that NU implements an educational education commanded by LP Maarif NU and principled on al muhafadhotu ala al qodimi as sholih wal akhdu bil jadidi al aslah to aim at forming humans who are rahmatan lin naturalin. In learning the values that are strengthened and internalized are tawazun (balanced), tawassuh (moderate), i`tidal (fair and heartless) and tasammuh (tolerance).]]>

<![CDATA[Humans now face many problems due to technological developments in this digital age. Islamic higher education students have the potential to be part of nation-building. This era is a free trade competition between nations in the world and requires human qualities. So Islamic higher education, one of the places to transfer values based on the Koran and Hadith, must form quality students so that they play an important role in their country. Students who study Islamic science, as well as secular science, aim to shape themselves on campus. In this era, students must have broader knowledge about science and economics and students have a spirit of entrepreneurship, as well as good competence and attitude. This quality can be achieved through lecturers who use integrated knowledge between Islamic perspectives and contemporary perspectives. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis through literature studies related to Islamic higher education, the challenges and how lecturers use integrated knowledge methods in the learning process.]]>

Building character is more appropriate starting at an early age, because at an early age is a golden period in the development stage, as well as being the foundation of character formation. <![CDATA[This resear aims to explore: (1) the role of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency and (2) the implication of implementation of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency.this research was qualitative approach by case studies. The data were obtained by depth-interview, participant observation, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) guidance and counseling have a very strategic role in learning activities which carried out in schools, the implementation of counseling can be integrated with various other activities in the school environment; (2) the impact of counseling activities can be the main forum for channeling students' interests and talents, thus the role and function of counseling is as the prevention process and treatment of various problems in learning]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the Covid-19 phenomenon in the perspective of Majid Irsan Al-Kilani's perspective of Islamic education. In his book titled Falsafah Al-Tarbiyah Al-Islamiyyah : Dirasah Muqaranah baina Falsafah Al-Tarbiyah Al-Islamiyyah wa Al-Falsafat Al-Tarbawiyyah Al-Mu'ashirah, Al-Kilani discusses one vision of Islamic education, is intertwined harmonious relations between humans and life is called 'Alaqah Al-Ibtila or examinative relations. Covid-19 is one of the tests that is currently endemic in almost the entire world, and has an impact not only on the health sector, but also on the economy and the education process. Humans as perpetrators of the educational process can not be separated from the test. This paper has the concept of double movement, in the sense of a review of the Covid-19 phenomenon as a form of testing for humans, and at the same time assessing the impact of the test on current educational conditions.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract : In this era of technological development, the spread of information is rapidly and easy. So that hoax’s information are not infrequently appearing. The emergence of hoax information can lead to a variety of perspectives in several religions, especially Islam. Because hoax’s information cause various kinds of losses, such as the emergence of new slanders and lies. As a young generation, we must be able to sort out information before disseminating it. Saat ini, ilmu pengetahuan merupakan hasil dari peradaban barat sehingga terkadang ahli-ahli ilmu ini memiliki kecenderungan hanya mengedepankan akal bahkan aspek-aspek agama dikesampingkan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penyelarasan antara aspek ilmu pengetahuan dan aspek keagamaan dalam Islam agar dapat mengaplikasikan ilmu pengetahuan yang ada dengan baik serta dapat menumbuhkan kembali semangat keilmuan kaum Muslim untuk ikut andil dalam perkembangan keilmuan kedepannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Dalam Islam, Ilmu pengetahuan adalah keseluruhan sistem pengetahuan manusia yang telah dibakukan secara sistematis, didalam agama islam sendiri ilmu pengetahuan dikembangkan berdasarkan pada 3 pilar yaitu pilar Ontologis ( yang menjadi subjek ilmu), Pilar Aksiologis (tujuan ilmu pengetahuan) dan Pilar Epistemologis (cara untuk mencapai ilmu pengetahuan tersebut).]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini menjelaskan konsep, implementasi, penghitungan bagi hasil dan kesesuaiannya dengan prisnsip syariah dan hukum fikih akad mudharabah pada Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Indramayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui observasi dan wawancara serta melalui data penelusuran kajian pustaka yang relevan. Data kemudian ditelaah dan dianalisis kemudian di tarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan penelitian penulis bahwa aplikasi pembiayaan mudharabah pada Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Indramayu dalam melakukan pembiayaan khususnya yang berbasis akad mudharabah memiliki syarat dan prosedur yang sistematis dengan beberapa tahapan. Penggunaan analisa 5C sebagai standard prudential dalam perbankan juga dilakukan atinya bank tetap mensyaratkan kepada nasabah pembiayaan harus memberikan jaminan (collateral) kepada bank.]]>

<![CDATA[The human society consists of two main pillars; male and female. Islam balanced mankind by addressing the issue of a female in a society and showed her duties and role in a society. The most happy Muslim family is the family which takes care of its children and raise them according to good morals. Raising a baby regardless of her sex is very important but raising a female baby needs some highest level of attention. Marriage is one of the very important event in Muslim society which is Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Islam gave much importance to marriage as well because its foundation of a family. Raising a female member of a family is a responsibility given by Islam to every parent. In view of this topic I have decided to write about Prophet PBUH methodology about raising a female child. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertolak dari pemikiran, bahwa pada hakikatnya tujuan pendidikan anak di Indonesia merupakan kiristalisasi nilai – nilai hidup bangsa yaitu Pancasila. Tujuan tersebut ditetapkan dalam sistim Pendidikan Nasional. Tujuan pendidikan nasional yang dicanangkan dalam Undang – undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional ditetapkan dalam seluruh aktifitas pendidikan. Bagi keperluan pendidikan Islam, Islam diposisikan sebagai suatu nilai yang bertanggungjawab untuk menterjemahkan dan mengkritisi tujuan pendidikan tersebut. Antara pendidikan menurut Undang – Undang No 20 Tahun 2003 Tentang SISDIKNAS dan menurut Sistem Pendidikan Islam diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa(1). Kompetensi dan kecerdasan, keimanan dan memiliki pengetahuan seta keterampilan juga Kesehatan jasmani rohani merupakan manifestasi integritas dan keseimbangan jasmani, akal dan rohani. (2). Kompetensi iman dan takwa kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa dan berbudi pekerti luhur diidentifikasikan sebagai perwujudan dari Integrasi dan keseimbangan ibadah – muamalah dunia akhirat. (3). Kompetensi memiliki kepribadian yang mantap dan memiliki rasa tanggungjawab kemasyarakatan, merupakan pengejawantahan integritas dan keseimbangan individu dan sosial. Maka rumusan pendidikan pada prinsipnya iman dan taqwa, berbudi pekerti luhur, memiliki pengetahuan keterampilan yang mantap dan mandiri. Melalui pendidikan anak usia dini secara intensif diharapkan akan meningkatkan kwalitas sumber daya manusia, sehingga dapat mendominasi dan mengantisipasi pengaruh lingkungan yang yang kurang baik dan merugikan anak bangsa.]]>
