Abstract

Qur’anic learning is a pedagogical process aimed at developing students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes through activities of reading and memorizing the verses of the Qur’an in a tartil manner properly and accurately in accordance with the rules of tajwid. One approach used in this process is the Ilman wa Ruuhan Method, which integrates scientific (cognitive) and spiritual (affective) dimensions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Ilman wa Ruuhan Method at SMAIT Darul Ilmi Bandar Lampung. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis employed an interactive model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that Qur’anic learning through the Ilman wa Ruuhan Method is not only oriented toward improving students’ technical abilities in reading and memorizing the Qur’an, but also toward spiritual development that emphasizes the internalization of Qur’anic values in students’ daily lives. Therefore, this method is considered relevant for implementation in educational institutions because it integrates cognitive and affective aspects in a balanced manner. The findings contribute conceptually to the development of Qur’anic learning models oriented not only toward technical mastery but also toward the formation of students’ character and spirituality, and are expected to serve as a reference for similar institutions and further research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze school principal leadership management in increasing teacher motivation at SMK Assa’adah Bungah Gresik. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The research subjects include the school principal and teachers, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that school principal leadership management at SMK Assa’adah Bungah Gresik is implemented through four management functions, namely planning that integrates vocational goals and Islamic values, organizing through clear division of tasks, actuating with democratic and exemplary leadership styles, and controlling in the form of coaching. Teacher motivation is driven by intrinsic factors in the form of spiritual awareness of teaching as worship, and extrinsic factors in the form of responsive leadership support. The integration of these managerial functions has proven effective in creating a conducive work climate and increasing teacher work motivation holistically in a pesantren-based vocational school environment. This research provides a theoretical contribution by strengthening the concept of principal leadership management based on the integration of Islamic values and the managerial function of POAC in improving teacher motivation. Practically, this research provides an implementation model for principals, particularly in Islamic boarding school-based vocational schools (SMK), in creating a conducive work climate and increasing teacher motivation in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has driven the transformation of educational practices through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an adaptive, interactive, and data-driven learning innovation. In the context of formal education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the utilization of AI has the potential to measurably enhance instructional effectiveness while simultaneously strengthening students’ cognitive and affective domains. However, its implementation must be balanced with ethical foundations and moral responsibility to minimize the risks of technological misuse. This study aims to analyze the effect of AI utilization on students’ PAI learning outcomes and character development at SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. A quantitative approach was employed using a cluster sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SPSS through the Tests of Between-Subjects Effects. The findings indicate that AI utilization has a significant effect on improving PAI learning outcomes (F = 15.528; p < 0.05), with an R² value of 0.250, suggesting that 25% of the variance in learning outcomes is explained by AI usage. Furthermore, the effect of AI on character development demonstrates a stronger influence (F = 123.594; p < 0.05) with an R² value of 0.726, indicating a substantial contribution to students’ character formation. These findings confirm that AI integration impacts not only academic achievement but also the reinforcement of values and attitudes. Future research is recommended to expand the sample scope, develop more comprehensive experimental designs, and incorporate mediating and moderating variables to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms through which AI influences PAI and character education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and exchange rates on the trade balance in the D-8 member countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey) during the period 2000 to 2023. The method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), Random Effect Model (REM), and Common Effect Model (CEM) approaches. The selection of the best model is done through the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier (LM) tests. The results show that the exchange rate has a significant effect on the trade balance in all models, indicating that exchange rate fluctuations are an important factor in determining the external trade balance. In contrast, FDI does not show a significant effect, so it has not made a real contribution to improving the trade balance of D-8 countries. Based on the results of the model selection test, the Random Effect model is declared the most appropriate for use in this study. However, all models show positive autocorrelation problems in the residuals, indicating the need for further approaches such as robust estimation to improve the reliability of the results. For the long-term effect, only the Exchange Rate has a significant effect on the Trade Balance, while all variables have no short-term effect. These findings provide policy implications that exchange rate stability and FDI direction are key to strengthening the trade balance of D-8 countries amidst global economic dynamics.

Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia faces serious challenges related to low teacher competency, and teacher performance in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is inextricably linked to the way leadership authority shapes commitment, discipline, and organizational rhythm. This article aims to explore the articulation of the kiai's transformational leadership in improving the performance of educators at the Hidayatul Mubtadiien Islamic Boarding School in South Lampung. Using a qualitative single-case study method, data were collected in depth to examine the dynamics of leadership in the field. The results show that the dimensions of ideal influence, inspirational motivation, and individual attention are operationalized through the integration of strong religiosity values as a form of spiritual "energy transfer." The novelty of this study lies in the mechanism of transforming kiai authority into a collective work tool that fosters discipline and innovation without eroding the tradition of the salaf. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of synergy between spiritual leadership and modern management to address quality incompatibilities in traditional educational institutions. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of an Islamic educational leadership model that is adaptive to global dynamics.

Abstract

Economic growth can be stimulated through increased public investment activities. The development of financial technology, such as the Bibit application, has facilitated access to investment, particularly in Islamic mutual funds. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, return perception, and risk perception on the investment interest of the Jabodetabek community through the Bibit application. This research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected from 100 respondents through an online questionnaire with a non-probability sampling technique (snowball sampling). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS, including classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that financial literacy and return perception have a positive and significant effect on investment interest, while risk perception has a negative and insignificant effect. These findings suggest that improving financial knowledge and return expectations are key factors in enhancing public interest in investing in Islamic mutual funds through digital platforms.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of tazkiyah al-nafs in the Qur’an and its implications for human moral and spiritual development. In response to contemporary moral and spiritual crises, this research aims to provide a contextual understanding of soul purification as a foundation for ethical character building. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing Qur’anic verses using Fazlur Rahman’s hermeneutical framework, particularly the double movement method, which involves examining the historical context of revelation and deriving universal moral principles applicable to modern life. The findings reveal that tazkiyah al-nafs is not merely a process of spiritual purification but also a transformative framework that shapes self-control, ethical awareness, and moral responsibility in both individual and social contexts. Furthermore, the study highlights that the values embedded in tazkiyah al-nafs such as honesty, self-discipline, and social responsibility remain highly relevant in addressing contemporary ethical challenges. Therefore, this concept serves as a significant ethical and spiritual foundation for fostering a morally conscious and spiritually aware society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of legal protection in the storage of confiscated goods or evidence based on Government Regulation Number 27 of 1981 and to examine its conformity with Islamic law as well as its implementation in practice. The research employs a qualitative field research method, in which data are collected directly from relevant institutions such as the police, prosecutor’s office, courts, and the State Confiscated Goods Storage House (Rupbasan). The results indicate a discrepancy between Article 44 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), which mandates that confiscated goods be stored in Rupbasan, and the actual practice where such items are often stored in other institutions. In addition, there is a difference in interpretation with Article 1 point 16 of KUHAP. From the perspective of Islamic law, confiscated goods can be analogized as collateral, while corruption is categorized as jarimah ta’zir, where the determination of punishment is left to the authority of ulil amri or judges. Therefore, harmonization between regulations, practical implementation, and Islamic legal values is necessary to ensure legal certainty and justice.
