Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of intervention models employed by Islamic philanthropic organizations in Indonesia to economically empower women. Using a qualitative approach that integrates case studies, expert interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, the research examines programs led by Rumah Zakat, LAZ Harapan Dhuafa, BAZNAS, and LAZISMU. Findings reveal that successful models are holistic, multidimensional, and phased, integrating Sharia-compliant financial aid (e.g., qardh al-hasan), capacity building, technical mentoring, spiritual reinforcement, and market access facilitation. Quantitative evidence, such as a 96% Women’s Participation Index (IPP), a Gender Development Index (GDI) increase to 139.32, and a BAZNAS Welfare Index (BPI) score of 0.68, demonstrates significant impacts on poverty reduction, income growth, and enhanced female agency in household decision-making. However, challenges remain in scalability, dependency mindsets, and long-term impact measurement. The study concludes that Islamic philanthropy, with its integrated ethical and spiritual framework, offers a resilient and sustainable model for women’s economic empowerment, contributing substantially to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty alleviation, gender equality, and inclusive economic growth. This study contributes a refined framework for understanding the effectiveness of Islamic philanthropy, emphasizing the synergistic role of spiritual capital, digital inclusion, and ecosystem collaboration in achieving transformative women's economic empowerment.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is a primary sector in the economy which is an important foundation in economic growth by contributing to other sectors in the field of industry and services. The West Java agricultural sector is one of the sectors with a high contribution to West Java's GDP. For this reason, this study aims to find out the role of the agricultural sector in the economy of West Java and how the economic structure of West Java is. The research method used was location quotient analysis and shift share analysis with the data used, namely West Java sectoral GDP in 1990-2023. The results of the study found that the agricultural sector in West Java is not a base sector in the economy and does not have sectoral competitiveness, so the role of the agricultural sector only has advantages for the West Java region. The sectors that are the basis and competitive in West Java are the processing industry, construction and several service sectors, this proves that West Java has experienced a transformation of the economic structure from the primary sector to the secondary and tertiary sectors. For this reason, the West Java government needs to re-emphasize policies to increase the output of the agricultural sector which can increase other sectors.

This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression. The sample was selected through a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 13 companies meeting the criteria and resulting in 72 observations over four years. The results show that Human Capital has a negative and significant effect on the ESG Risk Rating. Conversely, Green Investment does not have a significant effect on the ESG Risk Rating. These results emphasize the importance of strengthening a company's internal factors, particularly in the aspect of human resource development, to improve sustainability performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze production planning and control to improve the smoothness of black cough syrup (OBH) production at PT XYZ. The company faces several challenges in its production process, such as raw material delays, sudden changes in market demand, and discrepancies between planning and production realization. This research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and document analysis. Analytical tools include a process flowchart, Pareto chart, and fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram. The results reveal that inefficiencies in production are mainly caused by five core elements: human (errors and lack of training), machine (frequent breakdowns and limited capacity), method (inflexible planning), material (delayed supply), and environment (poor interdepartmental coordination). These findings are supported by in-depth interviews, indicating that production delays often stem from miscommunication between the planning and production execution teams. The practical implication of this study is the need for a more responsive PPC system and the digitalization of processes to enhance integration among departments. This research contributes to the development of production control strategies in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in optimizing production flow. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for managerial decision-making to strengthen adaptive and efficient production systems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of time budget pressure and audit risk on audit quality, using a case study of a Public Accounting Firm (PAF) in Bandung. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design and survey method. A sample of 40 auditors was selected using a purposive sampling technique from 8 active FAFs in Bandung City. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the time budget pressure variable has no significant effect on audit quality, while the audit risk variable has a significant positive effect on audit quality. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on audit quality. This finding confirms that auditors tend to increase their thoroughness when facing high audit risk, but time pressure does not directly reduce work quality if supported by adequate systems and experience.

Abstract

This study aims to observe the direction and magnitude of the influence of economic and non-economic variables on the Happiness Index in Indonesia in 2021. The analytical tool used is ordinary least squares regression analysis with cross-sectional data for 37 provinces in Indonesia in 2021 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (CSA). The results show that the education budget variable has a negative effect on the happiness index. This phenomenon indicates an educational problem that is likely related to the use of government education funds. Meanwhile, other variables such as per capita expenditure, the Indonesian democracy index, per capita income, the open unemployment rate, and the health budget did not indicate any effect on the happiness index in Indonesia in 2021. The large number of variables that did not influence indicates that happiness in Indonesia is not supported by broad-dimensional determinants, meaning that many economic and non-economic variables are still unable to determine happiness in Indonesia.
