Abstract

This research aims to produce a learning media based liveworksheet on the contents of the Martapura Kingdom numeration with the ADDIE development model without the Evaliation stage. In the analysis phase, through the needs analysis 91.4% of students were very interested in studying the ancient numbers of the Martapura kingdom. Moreover, if the antique numbers of this kingdom are using a learning medium based on liveworksheet, where 82.8% of students are very interested using liveworksheets. At the design stage, the design phase is the planning phase of learning media that includes compiling learning objectives, making videos and planning learning media using the canva application. At the development phase, creating and developing learning media from all the components that have been prepared into an integral unity using liveworksheet. Once done, validation by material experts and media experts. The evaluation by historical material experts is 91.43%, and the average score by 3 validators mathematical materials experts is 85%. The assessment of media experts obtains the average rating by 3 medial expert validators is 87.2%. At the implementation stage, a small scale test is carried out to 10 pupils. After performing the test, the student was asked to fill in the prepared response lift. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the product has been produced as a learning media based on liveworksheet on the contents of the king's numeration martapura for students of grade VII First High School has met the criteria very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Class VII students at SMP Negeri 31 Samarinda like learning mathematics which is linked to local culture. However, they do not yet know the numbers from their own area. The introduction to ancient numbers is presented in an interesting way using visual aids. This research aims to determine the development process, level of validity, and level of practicality of the resulting product, namely the Card Board. This Research and Development (R&D) research uses the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Data collection techniques include needs analysis questionnaires, interviews, validation instruments and practicality instruments. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. This research has two subjects, namely the validation subject consisting of experts and the practical subject consisting of 10 class VII students at SMPN 31 Samarinda. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the product development process went through the stages of analysis, design and development, the product met the very valid criteria based on the assessment of Mathematics material experts, History material experts and media experts with average percentages respectively of 87.3%, 98, 98. 3%, and 92%, and was declared very practical based on student responses with an average percentage of 90.04%.

Abstract

This study aims to apply a learning design based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Teaching (PMRI) to help students learn multiplication material more concretely and meaningfully using multiplication tables. The data source for this study was students in grade 3 of Elementary School 4 Dersalam. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Qualitative research methods emphasize aspects of in-depth understanding of a problem or question rather than looking at a problem to be generalized. Descriptive research is a research method in which people see events and things in their lives and ask someone or a group of people to tell their life stories. The results of the study showed that after using the PMRI learning model, students felt interested in learning and understanding mathematics learning, their mathematical knowledge increased, and students' learning activities also increased. During the learning process, for example, students dare to interact with each other and the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to design mathematics learning media using Genially for algebraic operations material that meets the criteria of validity and practicality. The method applied is Research and Development (R&D) with the adaptation of the ADDIE model. However, only four stages were carried out, namely the Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation stages. The research instruments used were validation questionnaires for media and material experts and practicality questionnaires for students and teachers. The results of the study showed: (1) The development of mathematics learning media using Genially on algebraic operations material with the ADDI model consists of four stages. The first stage is analysis, which includes analysis related to initial needs and school curriculum. The second stage is design, which is designing a learning media product which is then named MARBEL. The third stage is development, which is carried out by testing the validity of the product through assessments by media and material experts. Finally, the implementation stage, which is carried out by testing the practicality of the product to mathematics teachers and 18 class VII A students at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda; (2) The MARBEL learning media is stated as “very valid” with an average score of 85.6%, seen from the validation results score by media experts of 91% and material experts of 82%; (3) The practicality of the MARBEL learning media is stated as “practical” with an average score of 85.6%, seen from the results of practicality by teachers of 86% and students of 87%.

Abstract

This experimental study examines the differences in students' numeracy literacy skills between learning using printed LKPD and E-LKPD within the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a post-test-only control group design, where the first experimental group received PBL using printed LKPD, while the second group was taught using E-LKPD. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the sample selection based on a preliminary test on integer operations. The results of the one-way ANOVA test showed a significance value (Sig.) of 0.88, indicating no significant difference in the initial average scores between classes VII-C and VII-D. The research data consisted of students’ scores on an AKM-based numeracy literacy test. Descriptive analysis showed that the average score of the first experimental class was 40.15, while the second experimental class achieved an average score of 52.89. Furthermore, the independent sample t-test analysis yielded a significance value ≤ 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a substantial difference in students’ numeracy literacy abilities between the use of printed LKPD and E-LKPD in PBL learning at SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the problems faced by teachers in implementing the independent curriculum in mathematics learning for class VIII at SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda and the efforts to overcome them. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of the study were two mathematics teachers for class VIII at SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda, the curriculum vice principal, and six students. The objects of the study were the problems faced by teachers in implementing the independent curriculum in mathematics learning for class VIII at SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda and the efforts to overcome them. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that in implementing the independent curriculum, teachers experience problems in planning, implementing, and assessing learning. Problems in learning planning include: (1) analyzing Learning Achievements (CP) to compile Learning Objective Flow (ATP), (2) implementing diagnostic assessments, (3) compiling teaching modules, (4) compiling LKPD, (5) using teaching materials, and (6) compiling and determining Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). Problems in implementing learning include: (1) implementing differentiated learning, (2) using technology, (3) learning atmosphere, and (4) adjusting teaching modules. Problems in learning assessment are planning and implementing assessments. Then the efforts made are: (1) socialization and training for competency development, (2) supervision and monitoring, (3) developing cooperation, and (4) supporting the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the influence of academic self-belief (self-efficacy) and personal perseverance (grit) in relation to students' understanding of mathematics. A quantitative approach was employed using a correlational design. The participants consisted of 29 university students selected through a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The analysis included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity), and hypothesis testing through multiple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that both self-efficacy and grit had a statistically significant and positive impact on learning outcomes (p < 0.05), whereas growth mindset did not show a meaningful influence (p > 0.05). All three psychological factors contributed significantly to students’ critical thinking skills, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.909, indicating that 90.9% of the variance in critical thinking ability could be explained by the model. Therefore, it can be concluded that students’ critical thinking performance in mathematics is substantially shaped by psychological traits such as self-efficacy and grit.
