Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi tantangan dan strategi yang dilakukan guru dalam mewujudkan kelas inklusif di MTs Zainul Ishlah Kota Probolinggo, sebuah madrasah berbasis pesantren yang menghadapi beragam kebutuhan belajar siswa tanpa dukungan sistem pendidikan inklusi formal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru, observasi partisipatif selama proses pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data untuk menyaring informasi relevan, penyajian data secara sistematis untuk mengungkap pola dan hubungan antar kategori, serta penarikan kesimpulan yang berorientasi pada interpretasi makna dari hasil temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menghadapi tantangan dari aspek akademik berupa keragaman kemampuan dan kebutuhan belajar siswa, tantangan sosial seperti adanya diskriminasi dari teman sebaya, serta tantangan teknis yang meliputi kelelahan fisik siswa akibat aktivitas pesantren, keterbatasan media pembelajaran, dan belum adanya pelatihan khusus terkait pendidikan inklusif. Dalam merespons tantangan tersebut, guru menerapkan strategi berbasis empati, komunikasi interpersonal, dan adaptasi pembelajaran, seperti membangun relasi personal dengan siswa, memberikan waktu belajar tambahan, menyesuaikan materi ajar dengan konteks kehidupan santri, memanfaatkan peran teman sebaya sebagai dukungan belajar, dan menumbuhkan budaya saling menghargai di kelas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif di madrasah berbasis pesantren tidak hanya ditentukan oleh sarana atau pelatihan formal, tetapi juga sangat bergantung pada sensitivitas sosial, kreativitas, dan komitmen guru dalam merespons kebutuhan beragam peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the demonstration technique in the teaching of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) on the topic of funeral prayer for ninth-grade students at SMP IT Mamba’ul Ulum, as well as the challenges faced by the teacher during its application. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the demonstration technique used by the fiqh teacher enhanced students' understanding of the movements and recitations in the funeral prayer. The teacher directly demonstrated the procedures and involved students in the practice. Challenges encountered included limited teaching aids, students’ insufficient memorization of prayer recitations, and a lack of confidence among some students when asked to demonstrate in front of the class. Nevertheless, the teacher addressed these issues creatively, such as by utilizing students as part of the learning media. The demonstration technique proved effective in improving students’ psychomotor skills and made the learning experience more meaningful

Abstract

The scientific approach to the Quran has been a subject of debate among muslim scholars, including in Indonesia. Some view it as a form of appreciation for the scientific verses in the Quran, while others criticize this approach for relying on relative scientific theories in interpreting the Quran. In this regard, Samudera Al-Fatihah by Bey Arifin (1968) is an interesting example because it relates the interpretation of Surah Al-Fatihah to various modern scientific findings, particularly in understanding the term al-‘alamin as the macrocosm and microcosm. Therefore, this article aims to analyze Bey Arifin’s scientific approach in his interpretation of Samudera Al-Fatihah and assess the relevance of the scientific theories he uses to the latest developments in science. The method used in this study is qualitative in the form of library research, using content analysis as the data analysis method. The results of the study show that Samudera Al-Fatihah integrates various concepts of modern science, such as astronomy, biology, and physics, in explaining the term al-‘alamin. This interpretation not only demonstrates the synergy between revelation and reason but also makes an early contribution to introducing a scientific approach within the Indonesian tradition of Quranic exegesis. Although the scientific theories employed are not immune to criticism regarding their relevance to the times, the Samudera Al-Fatihah remains one of the interpretations that pioneered the use of a new approach in understanding Quranic verses through science.
