Abstract

In carrying out these basic tasks the Navy relies heavily on the readiness of the Indonesian Warship (KRI),including the readiness of underwater construction in KRI from corrosion attack on sea water. Nowadays, KRIuses Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) from corrosion attack. Whereas, SACP system has someweakness, such as the lifetime protection is short. The aim of this paper is to the analysis of Impressed CurrentCathodic Protection (ICCP) design of the underwater structure of KRI using computative theory calculation andspecimen test. The results of ICCP design showed that the specimens I required 0.081 Ampere (A) forprotection current, specimen 2 required 0.010 A for protection current, specimens 3 required 0.00251 A. Withpotential protection between -800 mV up to -1100 mV, it described that the ICCP system is reasonable. Theresult of cathodic protection design towards an underwater structure of KRI (TR-40 Type) showed that 1.75 forAmpere (A) and 3.35 volt DC for voltage. The benefit of this paper is a reference standard in the planning of theICCP design at KRI.Keywords: Corrosion, Underwater Structure of Warship, Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP).

Abstract

According to the definition of International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) M-13 2005, the LowestAstronomical Tide (LAT) is Internationally used as chart datum, which is used as instruction for measuring thevalidation of high water surface in the Hydro-oceanography survey. It is predicted by tide prediction for 18.61years. This research is observed minimized in one year. In determining of LAT, it will be analyzed by the tideConstanta and prediction analysis. The analysis of tide Constanta will be calculated by the Rayleigh numberingmethod (the smallest quadrat), start on tide data observation for one month, two months, three months, fourmonths, six months until twelve months data of tide observation. Afterward, from that analysis results of t ideConstanta, it can be predicted the tide for 18.61 years. From this result, the prediction will be found thedifference of the LAT value of tide data less than in one year with tide data in one year. Then, from thedifference of LAT values can be analyzed at a significant level by using the statistical approach. From the resultof the LAT calculation by using data observation of tide in one year will be got the LAT position that is 43.3 cm.If comparing with LAT value which uses a variety of data less than in one year, it will result in the level ofsignificant differences. In this case, LAT value thas is calculated by data less than in one year cannot beequated with LAT which is used by observation of tide data in one year. Keywords: LAT, Tide Component, and interval of tide observation.

Abstract

This paper study the determination of the number submarine defenses for Indonesian archipelago underwater defenses with probability method approach. In performing these calculations the authors perform the processing of data from various sources, both from the literature, the data from the relevant authorities in this regard Operations staff, Submarine Force with the elements in the form of operating reports, obtained through interviews and from the field. From these data processed probability calculation and the result obtained is inserted into the formula length / width of the waiting area submarine patrol positions further implemented method of calculating the probability to obtain optimal results. The result of this study is to know the total number of submarines are needed to maintain the strategic straits Indonesia as much as 13 submarines. With the percentage of each strategic submarines: 23% Makassar Strait (3 Submarines), the Lombok Strait 15.4% (2 Submarines), Strait of Halmahera 30.77% (4 Submarines), Wetar Strait 15.4% (2 Submarines), Strait Ombai 15.4% (2 Submarines). If there is a dynamic field that can easily be placed in the strait Submarines received threats in accordance with the percentage division. Suppose a threat occurs only in Hot Area I (Makassar Strait and the Strait of Lombok) then placed Submarines strength at 35.4% (5 Submarines). Keywords: Submarine, Probability Concepts, Determination of Total submarine

Abstract

Hasan Basri-382 Indonesian warhip (KRI) use MTU 16 V 4000 M 90 diesel engine with common rail technologythat uses a High Pressure Fuel Pump. The pump has a vital function because it provides fuel up to a pressureof 1400 bars on the common rail. The problem is that there is pump compilation or damage (leakage), then thefuel pressure at the High Pressure Pump input drops and risks the output pressure of the fuel High PressurePump towards the common rail, where the pressure drops dramatically, so that the fuel pressure is below 4 baror fuel pressure inside the common rail below 700 bar Engine Control Unit (ECU) accepts the engine to stop theengine. The price of the pump is too expensive. In addition, this pump cannot be repaired or in other words itmust be replaced by the new one. Based on the pump for life, it must be replaced every 4500 hours or in onceW5 maintenanc period. But this lifetime schedule has never been approved. Therefore, it is expected to causedamage to the pump so prevention efforts can be made. In addition, the author has also used the SWOTmethod to find the best strategy in finding solutions to the problems of this High Pressure Pump. And of course, these strategies are used for advice at the end of this settlement. Keywords: Common Rail, Damage, High Pressure Pump, Parchim Class, and SWOT Method

Abstract

Maintenance management is required and has a very vital role for a KRI types FPB57, considering the type KRI is one Alutsista Navy who have a high frequency activity, as well as the broad range of operations support capabilities are varied so that the automatic machine is also high activity and in the end reliability will decrease. Methodology Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) is a widely recognized tool for the study and analysis of the reliability of the design or process. Many authors in the field have emphasized specifically the usefulness of this method and its limitations. At this writing considering the lifetime of the machine and the elements therein specifically the components of the water coolant pump has had a lifetime of more than 20 years, because it can be said that the components have entered a critical period. Based on the steps Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) through the calculation of Risk Priority Number (RPN), so we can determine the critical components of acquired 9 of 19 chances damage that has critical component is Angular Bearings, Cylindrical Bearings, Spacer Ring, Water Seal, shaft Seal, Seal Slip Ring, Impeller, O'Ring and shaft. These components if damaged can lead to engine breakdown. From the optimization results indicate that the component replacement Cylindrical Bearings have the fastest time, ie 98 days. While the replacement of components with the longest time, which is a component Impeller 134 days. Besides obtain the most optimal replacement time of each component, also produced the cost of replacement is effective, it is proved by the value of the optimal CBR. CBR value for all types of components is less than 1 (CBR <1).Keywords : FMECA, Risk Priority Number, Reliability, Replacement Intervals,CBR.
