Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ reading skills through authentic reading material. Classroom action research (CAR) aims to discover teaching and learning strategies that match the style of the learner and to overcome teacher problems in getting the right techniques in teaching. Research hold in SMK 17 August 1945 Muncar Banyuwangi on 27 students of class X APH1 done in two cycles with stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Instruments used for data collection are observation sheets, questionnaires and student opinions about the authentic reading material. The teaching and learning procedure is cleaved into three steps; pre-activity, main activity, and post-activity. A researcher found that the application of authentic reading material can improve the student’s reading skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine process of writing in act of drama, that doing by students in college. The write of script is for developing students creativity and knowledge in order to imagine in field of drama script writing.. Design in this research using qualitative, and the method using descriptive method, that will learn and describe learning of act writing as proponent the running of show in order to developing students creativity in field of dance and drama class. Subject of this research are students of VI semester that take dance and drama class in Peradaban University year of 2017/2018.The analysis technique used interactive model analysis. The results of this study showed that from several students involved in the PGSD1 and PGSD2 classes in making play scripts, only two students passed the selection, two play scripts which were chosen to be performed in dance and drama performances, while the results of this writing showed almost all students cannot develop ideas, experiences and pour creative thoughts into text.

Abstract

PPL II is one of the infrastructural academic activity which covers practice to teach and other education assignments by guiding, directing, and integrating to fulfill the requirement of professional staff formation in education. The purpose of evaluation of PPL II in Islamic Management Education Program (MPI), Faculty of teacher training and education (FTIK) is to know the level of success in implementing the program that has done and program that will be used in the next period in order to predict, calculate, and manage the implementation of PPL II in increasing the quality of graduate. There are three phases in evaluating of implementation of PPL II in the Islamic Management Education Program FTIK IAIN Jember 2017 – 2018, they are planning, implementing, and evaluating phase. Meanwhile, the student competence evaluation of the PPL II MPI program is focused on teaching and administration practice.

Abstract

The veil is an advanced version of the use of headscarves, in Islamic interpretation studies the arguments governing whether or not the use of veils is still under debate. However, the use of veils is actually in the community, bringing the consequences of rejection greater than the headscarf. Islamic boarding schools in East Java on average do not advocate and ban their santri from wearing veils. This is an interesting thing to be examined more deeply about how the santri still existed in the midst of his friends who were wearing headscarves. The findings in the field about the existence of veiled santri in the Islamic Boarding School Environment are that the first informant (Nur Aina) and the third Informant (Dewi Rahma) can still use the veil as a cover for the Islamic Shari'a wherever the informant is despite being the only veiled santri among santri veiled. While the second informant (Rahmatus Sholehah) could not exist among his friends due to the lack of support from the immediate family, criticism from the people closest to him, and differences in responses within the surrounding community made him unable to stay for Istiqomah using his veil.

Abstract

This article is one of many archives studies that focus on paradigms, traditions, and research in the Communication perspective from a philosophical point of view. The seventh traditions discuss in this article is owned by Robert Craig from his book titled Communication Theory, written by Littlejohn & Foss. The purpose of this research is to support the young researcher to choose and to decide which theory suite to which research paradigm that they are doing. The method is an archive study, the discussion used content analysis with the conclusion technic. Abstract

This study aims to determine the policy process of rescheduling as one of the efforts to handle problematic financing and Islamic legal views, especially the Islamic economy towards rescheduling policy as one of the efforts to handle problematic financing in BMT UGT Sidogiri Capem Pesanggaran Banyuwangi district. This type of research is a case study that is testing in detail against one background or one subject or one document storage or a particular event with research data collected both from interviews, observations, and documentation with interactive model analysis. The results of the research show that the policy of distillation is one way to handle problematic financing, where the problem conditions that exist in BMT arise from various aspects, both from the aspects of customers, employees, and nature. Besides that, the rescheduling process at BMT UGT Sidogiri Pesem Pesanggaran is by the procedures and provisions of sharia using the kafalah agreement and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that is in the cooperative or non-cooperative.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal leadership in Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) Lintang Songo Piyungan Bantul Yogyakarta and the construction of educational relations between Kiai and santri in the context of a multidisciplinary approach. The results of the study show that there are three approaches produced. In the Normative approach, there are five things that can be revealed. 1). Straightening intentions, 2). Choosing a teacher and glorifying science and experts, 3). Learning and deliberation diligently, 4). Studying overseas and endure the difficulties which they experience, and 5). Working and praying for sufficiency. Whereas in the Psychology approach, it appears that the relationship between Kiai and santri has a very good attachment. Kiai Heri never takes the position himself as a leader and santri as subordinates, but their relationship is very intimate, like parents to their children. Furthermore, in the Sociology approach, Pondok pesantren Lintang Songo could be studied in three environments, namely material, social, and symbolic environments.

Abstract

This article wants to explain about the dialectics of pesantren and radicalism by taking place in the region of Lamongan Regency. The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) had announced that there were dozens of pesantren from thousands of pesantren in Indonesia indicated to be involved in recruiting radical santri, including one in Lamongan. But the announcement of the BNPT caused an assessment to be generalized towards all pesantren in Indonesia by foreign observers, that all (not some) pesantren in Indonesia teach radicalism. Evil acts committed by a handful of people cause many other people to be affected. In fact, pesantren which are accused of being indicated to teach radicals also deny that they teach radicals. What exactly is the pesantren dialectic and radicalism and what kind of pesantren teach radicalism? The results of interviews and field findings can prove whether there really is pesantren dialectic and radicalism.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is an important component that can determine success in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. In an effort to improve teacher professional competence there are several programs that can be done, one of them is by empowering Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) for PAI teachers. MGMP is an opportunity for teachers to be able to develop themselves and innovate in developing the quality of learning in the classroom. This research is a literature review that aims to understand MGMP management as an effort to improve the professional competence of PAI teachers. The results of this study are MGMP requires planning, organizing, mobilizing and monitoring so that the objectives of the MGMP programs can contribute positively to the development of professional competencies for PAI teachers.

Abstract

This article with regard to the educational values of characters in the tradition of the Bugis community and aims to determine the values of character education contained in (pappaseng) and (elong). Qualitative descriptive nature of this study, use several approaches sociological. Data consisted of primary and secondary. The primary data sourced from books containing (pappaseng) and other informants who support as: Bugis community leaders. The results showed that there is some educational value in (pappaseng) character as such as: caring, tolerance and democracy, honest, clean, and patience. characters patience in (elong) reads: (Ininnawa sabbarakki lolongeng gare Deceng tosabbaraede), (Pitu taunna sabbara tengnginang kulolongeng riyasengnge Deceng, Deceng enrekki ri bola tejjali tettappere banna mase-mase). The conclusion of the research in the Bugis community are knowen (pappaseng) and (elong)to be loaded with the value of character education.
