Abstract

Permendiknas implementation research on the appointment of pricipals is inseparable from the basic permendiknas namely: (1) permendiknas number 13 year 2007 about pricipal standar, (2) permendiknas number 28 tahun 2010 about teacher assignment as Head of school. This research discloses how the process of appointment of headmaster of SMP negeri in Dinas Education and culture of  Siak Regency, is in accordance with the provisions set by the government in permendiknas number 28 year 2010. This implementation research isbased on metter and Horn theory and describe the findings using approach qualitative methods. Data obtained by interviuw, observation and document. Futher data are analyzed and performed continuously to complate. The results of the study note that the general requirements in administrative selection are not met well. Because three is still the age of principals who do not meet the provisions with the number 85%. This means that only 15% of the principals are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the first appointment process in office. Even 29% of headmaster who served in Siak district will now undergo more than 2 periods of duty. At the rank and class of principals also found 13% of principals who are currently still in rank/class IIIB. While on special requirenments found arround 65% of  school principas in Siak Regency do not have a certificate of principal issued by LP2KS is a NUKS certificate. There are several factors that become obstacles in implementing permendiknas number 28 year 2010 in Siak Regency. Namale; (1) the SDK of siak Distric employees, especially the lack of education, (2) the cost of education and training to obtain NUKS certificate, (3) the role of the acceptability team in the process of placing the principal the carry out his duties as principal.

Abstract

The main objective of this research was reveal in detail by facts and data to get a complete image about the implementation of improvement program of educator quality at integrated elementary school Al-Fikri Islamic Green School Pekanbaru. This research specifically aimed reveal information objectively and empirically that relates understanding of improvement program of teachers’ quality, implementation of improvement program types, the supporting and abstracting factors in the implementation of the program and the effects of the implementation of the program at integrated elementary school Al-Fikri Islamic Green School Pekanbaru. This research used qualitative approach; the data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The data were analyses by descriptive qualitative with descriptive presentation, and triangulation was used know the data validity. The result showed that the teachers understand the improvement program of the teacher quantity well. The improvement programs of teachers’ quality at this school which were actualized in some programs such as education and training, ta’lim, kkg, teacher meeting, supervision, seminars workshop, study tour, character school programs could be done well. It was showed that there were supporting and obstructing factors on this program. Then, this program had positive effect toward the development of teacher competence optimally, positive effect an teacher service students, positive effect an teacher service to students’ parents, and positive effect an school quality.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain about the process of implementation of kindergarten An-Namiroh Center in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan kota pekanbaru. The research sub-focus consists of 1) .The implementation of An-Namiroh kindergarten planning in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 2) .The implementation of An-Namiroh kindergartensCenter in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 3) .The implementation of TK An -Namiroh Center in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City, 4) .TK An-Namiroh kindergarten supervisionCenter in improving the quality of schools in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a qualitative research. The data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study are (1). Implementation of TK An Namiroh Center planning as stipulated in the vision, mission and objectives that make kindergarten An Namiroh Center of pilot educational institutions and is the pride of the community. (2). Implementation of organizing is contained in the organizational structure and the division of labor, so that tasks and responsibilities are done well. (3). Implementation of the guidance of kindergarten An Namiroh Center well done, this is marked by the implementation of leadership functions of principals who have done the management and school construction through administrative activities and placing himself as a supervisor. Abstract

The application of information technology will be useful if the application is inaccordance with the goals, vision and mission of the organization with strategic planning and implement strategies into management information systems. So it takes an analysis of various factors that influence the formation of a system strategy plan or information technology that is adaptable and inline with school strategic planning. One technique in analyzing strategic planning and implementation of management information systems strategies is to use valuechain analysis, SWOT and information system success models. This study aim store veal the strategic planning of SIM implementation, obtain an overview of implementation, develop strategic planning so that vision, mission and objective shave been established, and reveal SIM user satisfaction to cloud managerial policies at the Guided LaborVocational School of FKIP UNRI. The conclusion is that the internal factor valueis 0.11 and the external factor valueis 0.02 (the ratio between internal and external factors of 0.11: 0.02) means that internal factors are in a strong position and have the opportunity to support school management to achieve the vision, mission and goals through MIS. With the level of user satisfaction Management Information System (MIS) as a whole is 88.07% derived from the data of 35 respondents. The recommendation of this study is to fully implement the existing SIM, and further research is needed to examine the impact of the implementation of this SIM.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low ability of students in traditional music art lessons. Cultural arts learning which has only focused on practice so far is not in line with the improvement of students' abilities in theory. This is evident when the researchers held a pre-cycle test for students of class IX 10 of SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru which found 11 students only or around 29% who met the KKM graduation criteria from a total of 38 students. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City precisely in class IX 10 students of SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2016. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in arts and culture subjects in class IX 10 Pekanbaru 13 Middle School in 2016 through the talking stick learning strategy. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR). This study consisted of several cycles, while each cycle was carried out in 2 meetings. Each cycle consists of steps. Planning / preparation of actions, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. After the results in the first cycle are obtained and have been reflected, improvements are then made to continue the next cycle if needed. The results obtained from the research with this method, namely in the initial stage of a total of 38 students who passed competencies only around 13 students and 29% of students did not pass the KKM. In the first cycle students who graduated from the previous only 11 students or 29%% increased to 32 students or around 84%. Then in cycle II students who graduated increased from 32 students to 37 students or around 97% of a total of 38 students. The conclusion of this class action research is basically students can increase their own interests and abilities but in a condition many obstacles occur so that students have difficulty increasing their abilities. By using the talking stick learning strategy, which is a group learning model with the help of sticks, the group holding the stick must first answer the questions from the teacher after students learn the subject matter, then the activity is repeated continuously until all groups have a turn to answer questions from the teacher. A series of learning activities that emphasize the process of thinking quickly and precisely to answer questions of a problem so students can be trained to think systematically, logically, quickly and critically. Evidenced by the results of each stage of research that increased quite significantly.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the level of planning, organizing, implementing and supervising the management of science laboratory at Junior High School Pekanbaru, which is also seen from the gender and the type of school. In analyzing the data, the researches used a quantitative approach with the number of population was 56 head laboratories. Data collection methods are questionnaires and observations. To analyze the data, the researcher was used descriptive technique, sample t-test, and one way anova test. The results of the study showed the following 1) In the descriptive management of planning laboratories have an average of 4,168; organizing 4,254; supervision 3,815; and implementation of 4,118. 2) In the sample test the school type t-test found differences in planning and organizing, while the aspects of supervision and implementation there was no difference 3) In one way test the period of work found that planning and organizing 0-10 years and 11-20 years, 0-10 years and 21-30 years there are differences while there are no differences between 11-20 years and 21-30 years. Whereas the aspects of supervision and implementation there is no difference in all periods of work.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the implementation of the program Global Learning Center (GLC) held in SD Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru, in particular regarding: (1) the context of the program's relevance to the needs of the school; (2) Input the program focused on the curriculum, the readiness of the organizers, trainers / instructors, participants readiness and availability of facilities and infrastructure; (3) The training process includes: management and training activities, training schedules, attendance in training, training materials, monitoring implementation, training methods, and barriers to implementation; (4) the results of GLC program which includes; the quantity and quality of participants.This research was a study evaluating using a qualitative approach. The evaluation model used the CIPP model(context, input, process, product) . Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation. Data source is: principals, instructors, and teachers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis.The results showed that: (1) GLC program relevant to the needs of teachers in implementing the curriculum used in schools .; (2) on the input side, there are 4 of 5 aspects that meet the standards of objective indicators such curriculum, the readiness of the organizers, instructors and the availability of infrastructure, and one aspect that has not met the objective standard of readiness of participants .; 3) the training went well evidenced by the presence of trainees, training materials and methods based on Multiple Intelligence, and monitoring of training activities. While training schedule has not run properly and there are still obstacles in its implementation. 4) and the results of GLC program based on teacher performance report card shows good achievement of learning outcomes, the quality of the lesson plan, and behavior. While creativity is still in a bad position.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to know the understanding about the work ethic and the function of public junior high school committees in sub-district of Sungai Mandau Siak regency. The research was held on SMP Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 2 and SMP Negeri 3, from November 2016 until January 2017. The data was taken from the data of junior high school committees.Primary data was taken from the interview with the public junior high school committees while the secondary data was taken from the documentation study. The research technique was direct observation, interview and documentation study. Data analysis technique used an interactive model analysis consisting of three activity lines namely reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification. The results show that the work ethics of the public junior high school committees in sub-district Sungai Mandau weregood. It was indicated by the performance attitude of the school committee which showed the nature of hard work, discipline, responsibility and had a sense of pride in the profession. The committees of public junior high school thought that their position was a form of worship, trusteeship, honor, service to the community and actualization. The function of committee as a consideration in determining and implementing education policies related to determining school policies and programs, raising funds, and other educational resources from the community, both individuals/organizations/businesses/industries and other stakeholders through creative and innovative efforts and in following up complaints, suggestions, critics and aspirations of students, parents/guardians, and the community as well as the result of the school committee’s observations of the school’s performance had gone very well. The function of Sungai Mandau junior high school committees in supervising education in schools in accordance with the provisions of legislation had been going well but still has to be improved especially in reviewing and assessing school performance, evaluation, and supervision of infrastructure facilities and financial supervision evaluation.

Abstract

The influence of the globalization era can decrease the sense of nationalism, and it can be seen from the students in Indonesia. School is one of the institutions that can be used to develop the sense of nationalism in the younger generation, for example through the civic education and also other school activities. In terms of improving teachers’ performances in school, one of the important factors that can not be ignored is the ideal supervision from the school principal. This is the reason why the research about Darma Yudha Senior High School principal’s supervision in an attempt to develop a sense of nationalism through civic education was conducted. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data was collected by doing observations, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted at Darma Yudha Senior High School, Pekanbaru, Riau Province. In general, this study aims to find out the school principals’ academic supervision as an attempt to develop a sense of nationalism through civic education. There were 8 respondents in this research, which are 1 school principal, 5 vice principals, and 2 civic education teachers. The results of the research are: (1) There are three indicators used by the principal in supervising the civic education teachers, (2) The procedure in doing academic supervision consists of three stages, from planning to reporting, (3) The achievement of teachers’ performances in developing the sense of nationalism is used by the school principal, teachers, and human resource department in planning, implementing and evaluating the school as an institution that implements the education of cultural and national characters, (4) To develop the sense of nationalism in the school, Darma Yudha Senior High School creates routine program activities as well as the activities that are conducted only during certain events, and (5) Evaluations carried out by teachers and principals in developing a sense of nationalism are carried out in a derivative concept. First, the principal conducts direction and guidance to the teachers, and then the teachers give them to the students as well.
