Abstract

The development of information system today has led to various changes that significantly taken into account in an organization decision making to obtain precise and accurate information for use. In processing the data of alumni, STIE Prabumulih is still using computerized system. This way brings the lack of development of information includes vacancies information obtained by alumni and students which is neither accurate nor sufficient, hence it is necessary for STIE Prabumulih to have the development of information so that information obtained can be more accurated and updated. Programming language used is the Personal Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and design editor is Macromedia Dreamwaver CC 2015. The application also uses MySQL as its database so it can be helpful in inputting data in which it can be done   more quickly, precisely and efficiently. The study is  a descriptive design that aims to clarify the data obtained and give a detailed description of the existing alumni data collection system at STIE Prabumulih. Keywords: Alumni, website, PHP, MySQL, descriptive

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe types, processes and reasons of the conversational implicatures uttered by a five-year-old Indonesian child. The subject is the writer’s own son living in Lau Dendang, Kec Percut Sei Tuan, Kab Deli Serdang. It was a qualitative research design which was observed with a single case study. The instruments used were observation and interview. The researcher observed the subject for three months where conversation in different contexts in daily activities took place. An interview toward the subject’s care givers was conducted to get the subject’s reasons in uttering the conversational implicatures in his daily activities. The data collected were the utterances spoken by the subject in different contexts and interview. The data were analyzed by using the theory of language acquisition and conversational implicatures. The results of this study were: (1) The two types of conversational implicatures namely generalized conversational implicature involving clausal implicature and scalar implicature and particularized conversational implicature were uttered by the subject in his daily activities in different contexts. (2) The process of producing conversational implicatures occurred by flouting maxims. (3) The reasons of using conversational implicatures based on the maxim analysis were : to say opinion, to advise,  to refuse, to defend self, to make a joke, to guess, to do something soon, to inform, to say like, to ask something, to say dislike, to avoid discomfort,  to ask help, to avoid quarrel, to stay at something, to avoid the next question, to play imagination, to change like and to imitate. The reasons of using conversational implicatures based on the speakers’ background analysis was the interaction in community. Key Words : Language Acquisition, Conversational Implicatures, Flouting Maxims

Abstract

Expert System is a computer-based system that combines knowledge, facts, and reasoning techniques in solving problems in a particular field like an expert. Expert systems can function as consultants who advise users as well as assistants to experts. One way to overcome and help detect a person's motor motor damage is to create an expert system based on Android as a media for consultation and monitoring so that the user understands what is happening with his motorbike. The Dempster Shafer method is a non monotonous reasoning method used to find inconsistencies due to the addition or subtraction of new facts that will change the existing rules, so the Dempster Shafer method allows one to be safe in doing the work of an expert in this matter is a mechanic. The purpose of this study was to apply the Dempster Shafer uncertainty method to the expert system to diagnose damage to the motorbike and also measure the accuracy of the Dempster Shafer inference engine. The diagnostic results of damage to the matic motor generated by the expert system are the same as the results of manual calculations using the Dempster Shafer inference engine theory which is processed from the results of interviews with the mechanic motor mechanic. So it can be concluded that an android-based expert system that has been built can be used to diagnose damage to the Matic motor. Keywords:Dempster Shafer, Motor Matic, Expert System, Android

Abstract

A campus is the setting where politeness is educated and where the relationship between lecturers and students, and students to students should be well established. This case could lead to the development of society which is moving to a more advanced and modern one. Nowadays, there seems to be a disruption in classroom interaction where impolite utterances are more likely to be used. Based on researcher’s observation, there is a new awkwardness that female more produced the impolite utterances than male. This phenomenon can be found in daily classroom interaction where students perform impolite speech events. The objectives of the study was to find out the types of impoliteness strategies used by male and female students in classroom interaction. The study was descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study was class TI V Regular Sore of STMIK Pelita Nusantara which had been chosen randomly. The data of the study is the impolite utterances of transcripts which is recorded from the conversation in the classroom interaction. The data were identified, analyzed and categorized based on Culpeper’s (1996, 2003), Bousfield’s (2007), and Beebe’s (1995) theory. The findings of the study showed that there were five types of impoliteness strategy found in both data of male and female students, namely: bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness, sarcasm or mock politeness, and withhold politeness. Commonly male students is the more frequent produced impolite utterances than female students did. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that overall male and female students had equal chance to perform impoliteness in classroom interaction. Some suggestions are directed to those who are interested in understanding impoliteness strategy as found in practice.  Keywords: impoliteness strategies, male and female student, classroom interaction

Abstract

Every final year student who has completed his lecture must definitely make a thesis in order to get his degree. Before making a thesis, students must propose a thesis title to the study program admission section first. The title will be checked for feasibility by the study program. One of the requirements of the thesis title is said to be feasible, the title has never been used by other students. But every semester there are so many students who submit thesis titles, so the study program is overwhelmed if they have to match one by one the incoming thesis titles with the previous thesis title because it requires a lot of energy and time. Therefore, a system needs to be developed to detect the similarity of the thesis title so that the process of assessing the feasibility of the title can be done faster and easier. Rabin Karp is an algorithm that can detect similarities in documents, using the hash method in searching for a word. This theory is rarely used to find a single word, but it is quite important and very effective when used for multiple searches. For this reason, in this study Rabin Karp's ability to detect the similarity of the thesis title will be proven by giving the title similarity value. Thesis title is preprocessing, so that the data becomes "clean", so it is feasible to do the hashing process. After hashing, then apply the Rabin Karp algorithm to each word and measure its similarity using dice's Coefficient, resulting in a similarity value from the title of the thesis. The better the stemming process in the preprocessing process, the higher the similarity value.  Keywords: Thesis Title, Similarity, Rabin Karp

Abstract

The need and progress of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), which has been developing faster and faster, needs business needs such as technology, systems, processes and communication in educational organizations ranging from systems to hardware and software supported by software and software. organization. Corporate architecture, asking about what components in the organization run business processes, organizational accountability, planning work platforms and planning, so that it can facilitate planning that is in line with the organization that is running in a structured manner. Enterprise Architecture works on blueprints or blueprints for systems that will be built or that will be developed. Problems that often occur include: decision making that is not based on information, information that is available is irrelevant, information that is not used by management, information that is not timely, too much information, information available is inaccurate, there is duplication of data, and the existence of data the way to use it is not flexible. To overcome this, this research will create a new corporate architecture in accordance with business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, Technology architecture will produce a blueprint. With the existence of Enterprise Architecture (EA) which is expected to provide explanations and requested between business and information technology, the baseline architecture and target architecture will be discussed so that harmony between business strategies and ICTs will be created. In implementing research using TOGAF ADM in planning and development of ICT and the creation of a smart campus at STMIK Bumigora Mataram.
