Abstract

Purpose: The increasingly global trade in the world demands the sea transportation industry, especially ships, to further increase the capabilities and expertise of the crew, especially the ability to communicate in English. So in the national education system, learning English is very important. . Design/methodology/approach: Various methods are used to improve English language skills, one of which is the use of technology in learning for students, namely by using e-learning. Findings: This study aims to determine the use of e-learning in maritime English learning, one of which can improve the vocabulary skills of cadets majoring in Eto Pelayaran and to find out the obstacles that might occur when using e-learning in learning English maritime eto shipping. Research limitations/implications: This study uses a quantitative approach with the analysis used is descriptive-quantitative analysis that reveals the problems that occur Practical implications: The sample of this study was 25 cadets in the ETO Shipping class in Semester II, totaling 25 people. Abstract

Purpose: Social distance arrangements applied in all Indonesian educational institutions and even throughout the world including universities during Covid-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: All teaching and learning activities on campus turn to online learning that uses a variety of teaching media, such as Zoom cloud meetings, WhatsApp groups, and Google classrooms. Findings: The purpose of this study is to see how the opportunities and challenges of using information technology in learning mathematics during covid-19. Research limitations/implications: The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach and type of descriptive research. Intake of research subjects using a purposive technique. . Practical implications: The subjects in this study conduct 8 students of the mathematics education department. The conclusions of this study are 1) The use of mathematics learning technology has been maximally carried out by students through online mathematics learning using various learning platforms. 2) In terms of understanding not all students can adapt to learn mathematics well because students have difficulty in understanding mathematics material through distance learning. 3) Factors that hinder learning are the availability of internet networks and the limitations of internet quotas.. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose this learning was to determine the direct effect Strength, hand-eye coordination, fat thickness and self-confidence towards batting skills in cricket. . Design/methodology/approach: Research method this learning used quantitative research with technique analysis path analysis approaches. Findings: The population and (total sampling) this learning as 36 athletes regional and national championships PCI (Cricket Association) DKI Jakarta, Indonesia Research limitations/implications: Results of this research: (1) Arm muscle strength has a direct effect on learning y batting cricket athlete PCI DKI Jakarta, coefficient as 0.235 (2) Hand-eye coordination has a direct effect on learning batting cricket athlete PCI DKI Jakarta, coefficient as 0.530. (3) Fat thickness has a direct effect on learning batting Cricket athlete PCI DKI Jakarta, coefficient as 0.029. (4) Self-confident has a direct effect on learning batting Cricket athlete PCI DKI Jakarta, coefficient as 0,259. (5) Arm muscle strength has a direct effect on Self-confident athlete PCI DKI Jakarta, coefficient as 0,280. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of authentic assessment in history learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 and MAN 4 Pekanbaru City. Design/methodology/approach: The research method used is a qualitative case study. A research location is in MAN 1 and MAN 4 Pekanbaru City. Sources of data in this study were informants, namely the principal, vice principal in the field of curriculum, teachers and students, learning activities and documents. Data collection techniques using interview methods, documentation study, questionnaires and observations. Findings: The results of this study indicate that history teachers have a good understanding of authentic assessment in the 2013 curriculum in MAN 1 and MAN 4, Pekanbaru City, history teachers have carried out knowledge assessments and skills assessments well, while in terms of analysis and reporting of authentic teacher assessment results using processing software online scores; The obstacles experienced by history teachers are the plurality of students with different backgrounds and characters, while the factors that support teachers in implementing authentic assessments are quality students, the availability of facilities and learning resources and the existence of value processing software. Practical implications: Result of this study can be used as reference in implementation of Authentic Assessment of any subject. Originality/value: This research is original because there is no similar research that been conducted in MAN Pekanbaru City. Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Purpose: This research is motivated by the rise of commerce via the internet or so-called electronic commerce (E-commerce). From a businessman's point of view, this is an opportunity for them to increase their business by creating an online shop that is included in several marketplaces. Electronic Word of Mouth (e-wom) includes testimonials from someone who has bought, then there are also figures who are fond of using the product, namely Celebrity endorsers and student lifestyle. The purpose of this study is to reveal how these aspects influence buying interest. Design/methodology/approach: The method in this study uses a quantitative approach by describing multiple linear regressions. The sample research method used is non-probability sampling with the consideration that all populations cannot be used as a sample. The sample obtained was 200 students. Findings: Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of E-WOM on the interest in buying online shop products, there is a significant influence of celebrity endorse on the interest in buying online products, there is a significant influence of lifestyle on the interest in buying online shop products, there is an effect of E-WOM, Celebrity Endorse. and lifestyle simultaneously on the interest in buying online shop products. Research limitations/implications: All respondents of this research are student. Practical implications: Result of this research can be used as references in creating interest in buying online product. Originality/value: This paper is original. Paper type: Research Paper.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the role of regional and central government through general allocation funds in making capital expenditures oriented to public services. The research conducts in the West Java Province, Indonesia by analyzing the financial reports of the local government of Bogor City, Depok City and Bekasi City for 10 years, from 2008 to 2018. Design/methodology/approach: Hypothesis testing carries out using multiple linear regression. Findings: This research succeeds in revealing that regional autonomy in managing regional revenue increased the government capital spending. The involvement of the central government also plays an important role in regional development through general allocation funds. Research limitations/implications: This shows that local governments are still very dependent on the availability of funds to meet public needs. Practical implications: Economic aspects in investment decisions could not be fully applies, especially considering the rate of return on investment. So that with the available funds, the government still prioritizes social and cultural aspects in performing public services through capital expenditures. Originality/value: The research explored the unrevealed value from technical financial report aspects that affect the government investment. Paper type: Research paper.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student satisfaction with academic services (X1), and administrative services (X1) Ikip Widya Darma Surabaya. Simultaneously or partially, and determine the most dominant variable affecting student satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative with a sample of 100 students. Respondents in this study were students who took education in Surabaya, amounting to 100 respondents. Based on the results of the research obtained from an overview of the identity of the response based on age and gender. reliability with the results of three variables is reliable. Academic services and administrative services have a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction. This is shown from the t test of partial hypothesis testing between X1 variables (academic services) showing t count (5.669)> t table (1.984). This means that the test variable X1 (academic service) affects Y (student satisfaction). Administrative services have a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction. This is shown by the partial hypothesis testing t test between X2 variables (administrative services) showing t count (5.669)> t table (1.984). This means that the test variable X2 (administrative services) affects Y (student satisfaction). Academic services and administrative services simultaneously or together have an effect on student satisfaction. This is shown by the F test with the calculated F value (33,629)> f table (3.09)

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of price, product and location on customer home purchasing decision on PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga both partially and simultaneously. Design/methodology/approach: The population in this study are all customers from PT. Putra Bumi Erlangga as many as 95 customers and sample of this study used a number of respondents who were selected by total sample or census, namely from 95 customers of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga were selected as samples. The data analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis. Findings: The research results are: 1) Price affects customer purchasing decision of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga, 2) Product affects customer purchasing decision of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga, 3) Location affects customer purchasing decision of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga, 4) Price, product and location simultaneously affect customer purchasing decision of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga, 5) Price has the most dominant effect on customer purchasing decisions of PT. Putra Bumi Airlangga. Research limitations/implications: The number of respondent relatively small. Practical implications: Result of this research can be referred by company to increase consumer purchasing decision. Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of customer relationship marketing and service quality on customer retention with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable in forwarding companies in Surabaya. Design/methodology/approach: The populations in this study are customers of forwarding companies in Surabaya and the sample in this study is 100 customers. The data analysis technique used was part analysis of linear regression. Findings: The research results are: 1) There is an effect of customer relationship marketing on customer retention at Forwarding Company in Surabaya, 2) There is an effect of service quality on customer retention at Forwarding Company in Surabaya, 3) There is an effect of customer relationship marketing on customer retention with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable at Forwarding Company in Surabaya, 4) There is an effect of service quality on customer retention with customer satisfaction as mediating variables at Forwarding Company in Surabaya, 5) There is an effect of customer relationship marketing on customer satisfaction at Forwarding Company in Surabaya, 6) There is an influence of service quality on customer satisfaction at Forwarding Company in Surabaya. Abstract

Civic education is a subject and course that has a great responsibility in building the character of democracy and the tolerance of students, because civic education is a moral education and must be administered at every level of education from elementary to college. Civic education is subjects and courses of moral education that should be able to minimize even the conflict among learners. This research uses the method of literature analysis with grounded theory is a qualitative research method that uses a number of systematic procedures to develop a theory compiled inductive. Research grounded theory, this research inductive research techniques, emphasizes observation and develops a base of "intuitive" relationship practices between variables. Then the philosophical practice of Civic Education in Indonesia is a curricular program to form human individuals who are moral/character statesman, noble morality, intelligent, believer and fear Allah according to the content of the and Pancasila, with the way to give an intake of knowledge about the meaning and meaning of the moral value of Pancasila, adherence to the constitution Nri 1945, with a democracy Berbhinneka Tunggal Ika, which is tied strongly in a container of the unitary Republic of Indonesia, through the agreement of Youth Oath and a commitment that remains one in the red white flag, by producing human output of science, capable, creative, and independent by the deeds of the Soul statesman, heroism, nationalism, Fruitful happy ending by giving a good benefit to yourself, family, school, Nation and country of Indonesia
