Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk during the period 2020–2024 using financial ratio analysis. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a case studydesign based on secondary data obtained from annual financial statements published by the Indonesia StockExchange (IDX). The analysis focuses on liquidity, solvency, profitability, and activity ratios. The results showthat the company experienced significant financial pressure, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Theliquidity ratio remained far below the ideal benchmark, with the Current Ratio declining to 0.10 in 2020 and0.05 in 2021, before gradually improving to 0.56 in 2023 and slightly decreasing to 0.47 in 2024. The solvencyratio indicates a high level of leverage, with the Debt to Asset Ratio consistently exceeding 0.5, reflecting astrong dependence on debt financing. In terms of profitability, the company recorded negative performance inseveral years, as indicated by negative Net Profit Margin values during the pandemic period. Furthermore, theTotal Asset Turnover remained below 1.0, indicating inefficient asset utilization. Overall, the findings suggestthat although PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk has shown gradual recovery after restructuring, the company still facessignificant challenges in achieving financial stability and operational efficiency. This study contributes to theunderstanding of financial performance in capital-intensive industries during crisis and recovery periods.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the impact of operational compliance and minimum service standards on passenger behavior in maritime transport. Specifically, it examines the novel moderating role of "Social Influencer Attacks" and Electronic Service Quality (E-Servqual) on the relationship between behavioral intention and actual usage behavior among Ro-Ro ferry passengers. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, utilizing a purposive sampling method of Ro-Ro ferry passengers at the Merak-Bakauheni crossing, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS to assess the measurement and structural models. Findings: The findings confirm that crew compliance and minimum service standards significantly enhance passengers' behavioral intentions. Crucially, the study reveals a paradox: while intentions lead to behavior, Social Influencer Attacks significantly weaken this transition. Conversely, E-Servqual acts as a positive buffer, strengthening the intention-behavior link. Research limitations/implications: The empirical context is limited to the Indonesian archipelagic ferry crossing. Future studies should replicate this model across varied geographical and transportation modes. Practical implications: Maritime operators must develop proactive digital crisis management to counter negative influencer campaigns, whilst simultaneously investing in E-Servqual infrastructure to maintain passenger trust. Originality/value: This paper extends UTAUT2 and E-WOM theories by introducing "Social Influencer Attack" as a unique negative moderator, bridging the gap between maritime logistics management and digital sociology. Paper type: Research paper.

Abstract

This study analyzes the stock returns of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the metals and minerals subsector during the 2018–2024 period. The effects of inflation and gold prices will be evaluated. Data analysis in this study employs multiple linear regression, preceded by tests of classical assumptions, including tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. Subsequently, hypothesis testing is conducted using the t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to determine the magnitude of the independent variables’ influence on the dependent variable. Multiple linear regression and secondary data obtained from government databases form the foundation of the quantitative methodology used in this study. According to this study, stock returns are not influenced by inflation or gold prices. Furthermore, other variables play a more dominant role in influencing stock return movements, as the research model can only explain a small portion of the variance in stock returns. The findings of this study are expected to be beneficial for capital market researchers and investors. Keyword: capital market; inflation, gold prices, stock returns.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Objectives - This study aims to analyze the influence of market orientation, social media optimization, and environmental changes on digital marketing and their impact on marketing performance in the garment industry in East Java. Researchers seek to understand how these three strategic factors contribute directly and indirectly to increasing digital marketing effectiveness and achieving marketing results for garment companies in the competitive digital era. Research Method - This study uses an explanatory research approach. The research sample is garment companies affiliated with the Indonesian Garment Companies Association (APGI) of East Java Province. A total of 38 companies were sampled, and the unit of analysis used a questionnaire. A total of 114 respondents were collected. The analysis technique used PLS-SEM with the assistance of SmartPLS v.4 software. Results - The analysis found that market orientation, social media optimization, and environmental change had a positive and significant effect on digital marketing. Furthermore, market orientation, environmental change, and digital marketing were also shown to have a significant effect on marketing performance, but not social media optimization. This finding confirms that digital marketing success and marketing performance achievement depend on an organization's readiness to adapt its strategy to market needs and external environmental dynamics. Furthermore, the mediation analysis results indicate that digital marketing mediates the relationship between market orientation, social media optimization, and environmental change on marketing performance in the garment industry in East Java. Keywords: market orientation; social media optimization; environmental change; digital marketing; marketing performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal responsibilities of developers and contractors in apartment construction under Indonesian environmental law and to examine the roles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Environmental Governance, and Relational Governance in the prevention of environmental disputes. This study employs a normative legal methodology using legislative, conceptual, and case study approaches to examine the construction of the Uttara Yogyakarta Apartment and the LA City Jakarta Apartment. The results indicate that environmental disputes are not only caused by physical environmental damage but also by failures in the governance of relationships among stakeholders. Compliance with Law No. 32 of 2009 is a minimum requirement, whereas the success of sustainable development requires community participation, transparency, communication, trust, and good governance. This study proposes a conceptual model, the Relationship-Based Environmental Governance Theory, which links ESG Compliance, Environmental Governance, Stakeholder Trust, Social License to Operate, and Dispute Avoidance as a new paradigm in construction environmental law.

Abstract

The construction of government buildings in the Southwest Papua region faces different challenges compared to construction projects in urban areas of Indonesia. The characteristics of the archipelago, limited transportation infrastructure, high dependence on material distribution from outside the region, and socio-cultural complexity of local communities cause a high risk of project delays. This research aims to develop a risk management and logistics framework that is in accordance with the characteristics of government building construction projects in the Southwest Papua region. The research uses a qualitative case study approach with research locations on several government building projects implemented in Raja Ampat Regency, Sorong Regency, and Sorong City. The informants consist of contractors, supervisory consultants, commitment makers, project managers, and community leaders selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive model Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that project delays are influenced by five main themes, namely geographical and logistical barriers, socio-cultural dynamics of local communities, weak coordination between stakeholders, limited project risk management capacity, and uncertainty in the procurement of construction materials. The research resulted in an archipelagic region-based integrated risk governance and logistics framework that emphasizes risk identification from the planning stage, strengthening multi-stakeholder coordination, logistics buffer strategies, and local community involvement. These findings make a theoretical contribution to the development of 3T regional construction project risk management as well as practical implications for local governments and construction implementers.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial behavior among university students plays an essential role in fostering young entrepreneurs who can contribute to economic growth. However, the rapid development of digital technology and the improvement of financial literacy do not necessarily lead to increased entrepreneurial behavior. This study aims to examine the effects of financial literacy, marketplace utilization, and financial technology on entrepreneurial behavior, as well as to investigate the moderating role of self-efficacy among undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This study employed a quantitative research approach using a survey method. The population consisted of undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, cohorts of 2022 and 2023, who had experience in running a business. A total of 240 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a financial literacy test and a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings reveal that financial literacy has no significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior. In contrast, marketplace utilization has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior, whereas financial technology has a negative and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior. Furthermore, self-efficacy does not moderate the relationship between financial literacy and entrepreneurial behavior, nor does it moderate the relationship between financial technology and entrepreneurial behavior. However, self-efficacy negatively moderates the relationship between marketplace utilization and entrepreneurial behavior. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.684 indicates that 68.4% of the variance in entrepreneurial behavior is explained by the variables included in this research model, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. The findings imply that enhancing students' entrepreneurial behavior can be achieved more effectively by optimizing the use of marketplaces through entrepreneurship mentoring programs. In addition, the utilization of financial technology should be directed toward productive business activities to better support the development of student entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The transformation of higher education requires private universities to implement effective governance to enhance the quality of human resources and institutional competitiveness. This study aims to identify the main findings and future research directions regarding Good University Governance (GUG) within the context of human resource empowerment in private universities. The study employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were obtained by searching Scopus-indexed scientific articles using the keyword "good university governance." The review process was conducted systematically through the stages of identification, selection, analysis, and synthesis of relevant articles. The results indicate that the implementation of Good University Governance principles, such as transparency, accountability, participation, independence, and fairness, contributes to improving the quality of university governance and supporting the development of human resource competencies. Furthermore, the application of GUG fosters a more adaptive, collaborative, and performance-oriented academic environment. This review also reveals that research on Good University Governance in private universities is still relatively limited; thus, further research development is required to integrate aspects of leadership, digital transformation, and organizational sustainability to support the future competitiveness of higher education institutions.
