Abstract

Differentiated instruction has become a crucial approach in supporting the diversity of students’ learning needs in inclusive classrooms, particularly at the elementary school level. However, its implementation in many elementary schools in Indonesia still faces various challenges, such as teachers’ limited competence in mapping students’ learning needs, inadequate learning facilities, and a lack of comprehensive understanding of effective differentiation strategies. This condition is clearly evident at SD Negeri Karangsari, where the diversity of students characteristics including students with special needs demands flexible, adaptive, and responsive instructional strategies. Based on these issues, this study focuses on how differentiated instruction strategies are implemented in the context of inclusive education, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in classroom practice. This study aims to: (1) describe the forms of differentiated instruction implemented at SD Negeri Karangsari; (2) identify interaction dynamics and teacher strategies in adjusting content, process, and learning products; and (3) analyze the supporting factors and constraints that influence the quality of differentiated instruction in an inclusive elementary school setting. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving classroom teachers, special education teachers (GPK), and students as participants. Data collection techniques included classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis with an inductive coding procedure, followed by source triangulation to ensure the trustworthiness of the findings. The results indicate that teachers have implemented several differentiation strategies, particularly in adjusting learning processes and providing instructional support. However, differentiation of content and learning products remains limited. Supporting factors include an inclusive school culture and collaboration between classroom teachers and special education teachers, while inhibiting factors include limited teacher training, a lack of adaptive learning resources, and high student teacher ratios. These findings highlight the importance of providing continuous professional development, utilizing formative assessment, and strengthening teacher collaboration to enhance the effectiveness of differentiated instruction in inclusive settings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perceptions of the use of digital media in Indonesian language learning in grade XI of SMA Kesatrian 2 Semarang. The background of this study is the increasingly widespread development of digital technology in the world of education, which influences students' interests and abilities in learning Indonesian, especially in aspects such as material comprehension, writing structure, language, and idea development. Digital media is considered to have great potential in increasing students' learning interest because it is able to present material in a more interactive, flexible, and easily accessible way. During my internship at SMA Kesatrian 2 Semarang, where I taught grade XI and Indonesian, I found that most students still had difficulty in understanding and applying the material, both in terms of structure, language, and idea development, so their perceptions of digital media are important to explore. To address these problems, this study explores students' perceptions as a basis for increasing engagement and understanding in learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological method involving participant observation of students, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires. Data collection techniques included qualitative questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The sample consisted of 36 eleventh-grade students. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify perceptual themes such as benefits, challenges, and suggestions related to digital media.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies implemented by teachers at SDN Plosorejo in developing students’ social skills and preventing bullying in the elementary school environment. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects consist of classroom teachers, support teachers, the school principal, and students in grades 4 to 6. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and school documentation, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that teachers apply various strategies, including the development of character values through daily habituation, management of social interactions among students, guidance and preventive interventions toward negative behaviors, and extracurricular activities that promote cooperation and empathy. These strategies are effective in enhancing students’ social skills, such as empathy, tolerance, communication, emotional regulation, and collaboration, as well as in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. The study emphasizes that the role of teachers as facilitators, mediators, and role models is crucial in shaping a positive social-emotional climate. The integration of character education, social-emotional learning, and preventive interventions is proven to be more effective than purely reactive methods. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for other elementary schools in creating learning environments that support students’ social-emotional development and sustainably prevent bullying.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Experiential Learning method based on the Matan Al-Jurumiyah book in enhancing reading skills (maharah qirā’ah) and critical thinking abilities in Arabic language learning at SMP IT Fathonah Palembang. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The study sample consisted of two classes, namely an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 30 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an objective test consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions, administered in both pre-test and post-test formats. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through three statistical stages: the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk), the homogeneity test (Levene’s Test), and the Independent Sample t-Test. The normality test results showed that the data in both classes were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test indicated equal variance across groups. The t-test analysis produced a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. The post-test mean difference suggests that the Experiential Learning method positively impacts students’ reading and critical thinking skills in Arabic. In conclusion, the implementation of the Experiential Learning method using the Matan Al-Jurumiyah book is proven effective in improving Arabic learning outcomes among junior high school students. These findings suggest that experience-based learning approaches can serve as innovative strategies in foreign language instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of integrated physical education to the healthy lifestyle of Airport Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) personnel at Minangkabau Padang International Airport. The background is the importance of physical fitness in supporting rescue and emergency handling tasks. Based on observations and 2024 fitness tests, the majority of personnel have not met fitness standards and do not have a directed and continuous training program. This study used qualitative methods through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed weaknesses in the training structure and the absence of physical training matriculation as the main obstacles. The proposed solutions included the preparation of training programs based on age groups, the habituation of a healthy lifestyle, and the establishment of a head of training position to manage the program. It was concluded that systematically integrated physical education can improve the fitness and work readiness of ARFF personnel. It is recommended that the airport implement a routine and sustainable fitness training and evaluation program to support flight safety.

Abstract

LAPAK OCU is an innovation by the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of Kampar Regency designed to expand licensing access, particularly for business actors in remote areas. This study applies a qualitative method using Everett M. Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory to assess relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that LAPAK OCU effectively accelerates business legalization, broadens service coverage, and increases public awareness of the importance of permits, as seen in the rise of issued licenses and socio-economic impacts. However, implementation is still constrained by limited internet connectivity, low digital literacy, and shortages in facilities and human resources. The study recommends strengthening digital infrastructure and enhancing staff capacity to ensure the sustainability and inclusiveness of this innovation.

Abstract

The economic gap makes people compete to find ways to earn additional income to meet their daily needs. This is one of the causes of the high incidence of stunting during a low economic period as a result of the lack of concern for the fulfillment of nutrition, optimal nutrition for babies, malnutrition, vitamin intake and lack of attention to children's health. With a theoretical approach, the main goal is to explain a phenomenon of community empowerment through entrepreneurship training that fosters entrepreneurial skills so that they are able to increase income to prevent stunting. By the community acting as an empowered party can build an independent society, we must start by creating independent individuals as well.

Abstract

This research is a Research and Development (R&D) development study. This study aims to determine the process, level of validity, and level of effectiveness of interactive media based on educational games Baamboozle in Indonesian language subjects in grade VI MI Tarbiyah Islamiyah Palembang. This type of research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the use of interactive media based on educational games baamboozle was considered very valid with the assessment of media experts obtaining an average score of 86.66%, material experts obtained an average score of 98%, language experts obtained an average score of 82% so that all three met the criteria of "very valid". The media effectiveness test was carried out through two trials, namely a small scale trial with a post-test showing an average percentage of 91.6% then a large scale trial with a post-test showing an average percentage of 95.7% so that the category of effectiveness of interactive media based on educational games baamboozle was declared "Very Effective". Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning activity of students in Indonesian Language subjects in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City. One solution to overcome this problem is to apply a reward strategy. The purpose of this study is to increase student learning activities in Indonesian Language learning through the application of reward strategies in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The time of this research was carried out in June 2025. The subjects in this study were 12 fifth grade students consisting of 10 girls and 2 boys. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning activity of fifth grade students of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City in cycle I meeting I was 16%. In cycle I meeting II increased to 33%. Furthermore, in cycle II meeting I became 58% and increased in meeting II to 83%. The conclusion is that using a reward strategy can increase student learning activities in the Indonesian Language subject in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Arabic Camp in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and its impact on the Arabic language proficiency of eleventh-grade students at Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Arabic Camp significantly enhances students’ linguistic abilities in listening (istima’), speaking (kalam), reading (qira’ah), and writing (kitabah). The immersive learning environment in Mecca allows students to practice Arabic in authentic contexts, strengthening both linguistic competence and cultural understanding. Furthermore, the program fosters students’ confidence, intrinsic motivation, and spiritual awareness through daily interactions in Arabic and exposure to Islamic history and culture. Despite challenges such as dialect differences, extreme climate, and intensive schedules, the Arabic Camp proves to be an effective model for experiential Arabic learning. The study recommends broader implementation of Arabic Camp–based programs in Islamic educational institutions to enhance communicative and spiritual competencies simultaneously.
