Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study examines the implementation of a story-based learning model to enhance the understanding of sexual violence prevention among Package A learners at PKBM Umatan Wasaton. The increasing number of sexual violence cases involving children highlights the urgency of providing accessible and contextual preventive education, particularly in nonformal education settings. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation during three learning sessions that applied narrative-based materials. The findings show that learners initially had limited awareness regarding personal boundaries, forms of sexual violence, and protective strategies. After the intervention, significant improvements were observed in their ability to identify risky situations, articulate personal safety concepts, express concerns, and demonstrate the confidence to refuse or report inappropriate behavior. Story-based learning was found effective in creating a safe and engaging environment, enabling learners to connect lesson content with real-life experiences. The results suggest that narrative approaches offer a relevant and adaptive model for delivering sensitive topics in nonformal education, especially those related to child protection.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Benda di Sekitarku pada pembelajaran Tematik di MIS Islamiyah Kota Palangka Raya dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan bahan ajar sebelumnya berupa lembar kerja sederhana yang belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, telaah dokumen, validasi ahli, serta uji coba terbatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap define ditemukan kebutuhan akan bahan ajar yang lebih menarik, kontekstual, dan sesuai karakteristik siswa. Tahap design menghasilkan rancangan bahan ajar dengan tampilan visual yang lebih komunikatif dan aktivitas belajar yang variatif. Pada tahap develop, hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar termasuk dalam kategori layak dengan beberapa perbaikan minor. Uji coba terbatas menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap kemenarikan, kemudahan, dan kejelasan isi bahan ajar. Tahap disseminate juga menunjukkan bahwa guru menilai bahan ajar mudah digunakan dan relevan untuk pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran Tematik pada materi Benda di Sekitarku.

This study analyzes the effect of transformational leadership, school culture, and teacher creativity on teacher performance, with professional competence as a mediating variable, among elementary school teachers in Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency. The study is motivated by variations in teacher performance, suspected to be influenced by principals’ leadership, school culture, and teacher creativity in learning implementation. A quantitative approach with a survey design and path analysis was employed. The population comprised 282 certified teachers with ASN status (PNS and PPPK), and a sample of 165 teachers was selected using Proportionate Cluster Random Sampling. Data were collected through a validated and reliable questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS 27. The results indicate that school culture positively and significantly affects teacher performance, while transformational leadership and teacher creativity do not have a direct significant effect. Professional competence positively and significantly influences teacher performance. Transformational leadership and teacher creativity significantly affect professional competence, whereas school culture does not. Mediation analysis reveals that professional competence does not mediate the effect of transformational leadership and school culture on performance but significantly mediates the relationship between teacher creativity and performance. These findings highlight that enhancing teacher performance is strongly influenced by a supportive school culture and professional competence, and that teacher creativity improves performance primarily through strengthening professional competence.

This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy capabilities of Science Education students at Universitas Negeri Medan in evaluating scientific information in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era using the PISA 2025 framework. The research method employed was quantitative descriptive involving 72 students selected via simple random sampling. Data collection utilized a scientific literacy test adapted for the AI-based learning context, covering aspects of knowledge, reasoning, and information evaluation. The results showed the students' average scientific literacy score was 57.66 (moderate category) with a left-skewed data distribution. Although students were capable of interpreting basic scientific data, they experienced significant difficulties in the aspects of evaluating and designing scientific inquiry and validating the credibility of digital sources. There is a distinct gap between high usage of AI tools and low critical verification capabilities regarding the generated outputs. The conclusion emphasizes that students' abilities remain operational digital rather than epistemologically evaluative. Therefore, strengthening critical AI literacy and authentic inquiry approaches in lectures is necessary to enhance the readiness of prospective science teachers in facing misinformation challenges in the digital era.

This article aims to determine the implementation of Islamic Education Curriculum Development through the SRC (School Religious Culture) Program at SMPIT Ibadurrahman Blitar. This best practice research on Islamic Education uses a qualitative method with a case study research type. The results of this study show the best practices in PAI Curriculum Development through the SRC (School Religious Culture) Program at SMPIT Ibadurrahman Blitar, namely through the practice of SRC as the implementation of the PAI curriculum, synergy between PAI teachers and SRC implementers, development of a PAI curriculum that is responsive to SRC needs, active participation of all school components in SRC, and evaluation of the combined impact of PAI and SRC. The School Religious Culture (SRC) program implemented at SMPIT Ibadurrahman consists of three areas of activity, namely: habit-forming activities, sak ngajine school, and the commemoration of Islamic holidays and other Islamic activities determined by the school. The urgency of the SRC program in the development of the PAI curriculum is that the SRC program helps to bring the PAI curriculum to life. The material taught in class becomes relevant because students see and feel its implementation directly in the school culture. This bridges the gap between knowledge and practice, making PAI not only studied but also internalized

This classroom action research aimed to improve numeracy literacy among fourth-grade students through the use of a Multiplication Minibook as an instructional medium. The study was conducted in two cycles following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The participants were 28 fourth-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through numeracy literacy tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Quantitative analysis included descriptive statistics, N-Gain, normality testing, homogeneity testing, and paired samples t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ numeracy literacy after the implementation of the Minibook. In the first cycle, the average score increased from 21.2 to 27.4 with an N-Gain value of 0.42 in the medium category. Improvements continued in the second cycle, with more than 75% of students achieving mastery. Statistical testing indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = 16.494; p < 0.001), confirming the effectiveness of the Minibook. Observations also revealed increased student engagement, conceptual understanding, and ability to interpret mathematical contexts. Overall, the Multiplication Minibook proved to be an effective and practical medium for enhancing numeracy literacy in elementary school mathematics instruction.

This study aims to determine the influence of travel distance and attendance percentage on students’ report card scores. This quantitative research employed descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analyses. The results indicate that travel distance has a positive and significant effect on report card scores, while attendance percentage shows no significant influence. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect report card scores, contributing 11.3% as shown by the Adjusted R Square value. These findings suggest that travel distance may be associated with students’ motivation and commitment, whereas the highly homogeneous attendance rates fail to differentiate academic performance. Therefore, other factors beyond this study are likely more influential in determining students’ report card outcomes.

This article examines the effect of the application of circuit-based games on the improvement of basic locomotor movement skills in elementary school students. The study used a quasi experimental design with the One Group Pretest Posttest model. The subject of the study is a fourth grade student of SDN Gampingrowo 2 The instruments used included tests of locomotor motion ability (zig-zag running, obstacle jumping, and long jump without prefix). The results showed a significant improvement in students' locomotor movement ability after circuit game treatment. These findings corroborate that circuit games are an effective, fun, and structured approach to improve basic locomotor movement skills in the context of elementary school PJOK learning.

This study aims to analyze the use of flannel media in improving early reading skills among first-grade students at MI Raudlatul Hasan. The research is based on the low early literacy levels of students and the limited use of concrete media that align with the learning characteristics of young children. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the first-grade teacher and students. The findings show that thematically and multisensorily designed flannel media can attract students’ attention and support experiential learning. Cognitively, the media helps students recognize letters, distinguish phonemic sounds, and construct simple syllables and words. Affectively, students appear more motivated, confident, and actively engaged. The flannel media also fosters an enjoyable and collaborative learning atmosphere. The study concludes that flannel media is effective in enhancing early reading abilities while strengthening students’ emotional engagement, and recommends the use of similar multisensory media in early reading instruction at the elementary school level.

The changes in the mindset and habits of today’s young generation cannot be separated from the rapid advancement of technology and the powerful wave of globalization. On one hand, the ease of access to information enhances knowledge and learning opportunities, yet on the other hand, it brings new challenges—namely, the decline of moraland spiritual values. Students are gradually losing their Islamic identity, as reflected in the decreasing respect towardteachers, weakening social responsibility, and the rise of individualistic attitudes. In such circumstances, Islamic education plays a vital role in reviving the noble values derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah. The purpose of this article is to examine various approaches that can be applied to strengthen Islamic character within both formal and non-formal educational settings. The study employs a library research method, by reviewing and analyzing relevantliterature. The findings indicate that two of the most effective methods in shaping Islamic character among studentsare role modeling (uswah hasanah) and the habituation of good behavior. Furthermore, character formation is reinforced through the integration of Islamic principles across all subjects and social activities, as well as the establishment of a religious and supportive school environment. This study concludes that the reinforcement of Islamic character requires continuous collaboration among schools, families, and communities. With Islamic values as thefoundation, consistent and well-coordinated efforts will lead to the development of a Muslim generation that is morally upright, highly principled, and well-prepared to face the challenges of the modern era.
