Abstract

This article discusses curriculum development. Islamic education and akhlak have a significant impact on the religious character of school-age children (SD). This article discusses how Islamic education and akhlak are extremely important for developing a religious character in Dini people. Islamic education helps children understand the principles of Islam, learn its teachings, and develop a strong sense of loyalty to God. In addition, moral education teaches children to understand the differences between what is good and what is bad. Moral education also teaches them to be good people who respect the environment and one another. In this article, we will discuss many methods and approaches that can be used to introduce Islamic morality and agama into the school environment. introducing Islamic morality and religion to the school environment. This article focuses on the function of gurus as role models and facilitators in helping children understand and apply moral and religious principles. Aside from that, there is a lot of discussion about how people work together and develop a keagamaan character in their homes. The method of investigation used in this article is the study of literature (Library Research), which is a type of qualitative research. become a person with a strong religious character by applying effective Islamic education and teachings. They will have the integrity and kebijaksanaan necessary to deal with moral dilemmas and situations. Accordingly, this article states that Islamic education in elementary schools is crucial for creating a generation of young people who are religious, tolerant, and capable of becoming useful members of society and the global community.

Abstract

Minangkabau International Airport, classified as a category 8 airport, currently lacks a nurse tender vehicle, which plays a crucial role in supporting water supply during firefighting operations. This study aims to analyze the standardization of supporting vehicle facilities in accordance with applicable regulations and to formulate solutions for existing nonconformities. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal a misalignment with established standards, particularly due to the absence of a nurse tender vehicle, which limits the response capability during large-scale or prolonged emergency situations where the water supply demand exceeds the capacity of the main foam tender vehicle. Proposed solutions include short-term strategies such as optimizing existing vehicles, enhancing personnel readiness, conducting risk mapping, and coordinating with external parties, as well as long-term strategies involving the procurement of a nurse tender vehicle. This study serves as a basis for evaluating and improving PKP-PK facilities to support aviation safety.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the suitability of the performance of the Foam Tender vehicle of the PKP-PK unit at Minangkabau Padang International Airport to the response time standards stipulated in the Decree of the Director General of Civil Aviation Number PR 30 of 2022. Based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation, it was found that one of the main vehicles, namely Foam Tender 03, was unable to achieve the required response time, due to declining vehicle performance due to its age of 20 years and less than optimal technical conditions. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through direct observation, interviews with PKP-PK personnel, and field documentation. The analysis was carried out using a gap analysis approach to compare actual conditions with the desired standards. The results of the study indicate that mitigation efforts carried out include the use of other vehicles that still meet standards, the implementation of routine maintenance and repairs, and the proposal to replace vehicles with new units such as the Ziegler Z6. These findings are expected to be used as evaluation material and recommendations for airport managers in improving the quality of safety services and emergency preparedness at the airport.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of letter recognition skills using letter card media in children at Tabitha 1 Kindergarten, Benteng Village, Nusaniwe District, Ambon City. The study addresses the problem that children's language abilities through letter card media still need improvement, as children showed less interaction with peers, were reluctant to share, and had not fully recognized letters. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology conducted over two cycles with 13 children aged 5-6 years as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, evaluation, and documentation. Results showed significant improvement in letter recognition abilities: initial condition reached 60% (8 children), Cycle I showed 60% (8 children) still underdeveloped according to expectations (BSH), necessitating continuation to Cycle II. The second cycle achieved success with 80% (11 children) developing very well (BSB) in letter recognition skills. This indicates that children at Tabitha 1 Kindergarten Ambon have achieved the expected letter recognition abilities. The learning process to improve letter recognition skills using letter card media was deemed successful, demonstrating that letter card media effectively enhances children's language development in early childhood education settings through an engaging and interactive approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the scientific approach in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills through a literature review of various relevant studies. The method used was a literature review, analyzing previous research findings related to the implementation of the scientific stages of observing, questioning, gathering information, reasoning, and communicating in learning. The results showed that using the scientific method improves critical thinking skills such as asking questions, analyzing data, drawing logical conclusions, and expressing opinions. This approach has also been shown to significantly improve student learning outcomes, according to several studies. Furthermore, the scientific steps also help develop multiple skills and intelligences in the 21st century. Consequently, the scientific approach is considered effective for implementation in elementary school learning to improve students' critical thinking abilities. To optimize learning outcomes, this study recommends increasing the implementation of the 5M steps, providing varied learning resources, enabling authentic learning, and using process-based evaluation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) dalam menaklukkan Banda Neira pada tahun 1609–1621 serta dampak jangka panjangnya. Menggunakan metode penelitian historis dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini bersumber dari arsip kolonial, catatan VOC, dan literatur akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa VOC menggunakan kekuatan militer, politik, dan ekonomi untuk memonopoli perdagangan pala. Genosida 1621 menjadi titik balik yang memusnahkan sebagian besar penduduk asli dan mengubah struktur sosial Banda melalui perbudakan serta migrasi paksa. Setelah penaklukan, VOC mendatangkan tenaga kerja dari berbagai daerah, menciptakan masyarakat multietnis yang bertahan hingga kini. Dampak kolonialisme terlihat pada hilangnya tradisi bahari, perubahan sistem ekonomi lokal menjadi perkebunan, dan terbentuknya identitas baru masyarakat Banda.

Abstract

Civic Education (PPKn) learning in elementary schools requires effective assessment follow-up to ensure the achievement of students’ knowledge, values, and civic character competencies. However, assessment follow-up practices in elementary schools are still often suboptimal, particularly in integrating remedial programs, enrichment activities, and feedback mechanisms. This study aims to examine the implementation of assessment follow-up in PPKn learning through a qualitative literature review. The review analyzes 31 national and international articles published between 2016 and 2025, obtained from scientific journals, academic books, and educational policy documents sourced through Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, Scopus, and Science Direct. Data were analyzed descriptively using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings show that systematic and integrated assessment follow-up improves the effectiveness of PPKn learning. Remedial programs help students achieve mastery, enrichment activities develop the potential and creativity of high-achieving students, and constructive feedback strengthens reflection, motivation, and the overall learning process.This study emphasizes that well-planned and continuous assessment follow-up is essential for ensuring the attainment of competencies as well as fostering civic character in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze the paradigms of Islamization of knowledge and integration–interconnection in the development of contemporary Islamic scholarship. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing classical and contemporary literature relevant to both paradigms. The findings indicate that the Islamization of knowledge and integration–interconnection differ fundamentally in their epistemological and methodological aspects; however, both originate from a shared concern regarding the value crisis in the development of modern science. The Islamization of knowledge emphasizes an epistemological reconstruction based on tawhid, positioning revelation as the primary source of knowledge, whereas the integration–interconnection paradigm focuses on dialogue and cross-disciplinary collaboration to construct a holistic and contextual understanding. This study finds that the two approaches are not dichotomous but rather complementary. A synthesis between the Islamization of knowledge and integration–interconnection has the potential to generate a paradigm of Islamic scholarship that is not only socially relevant and innovative but also ethically and spiritually meaningful. These findings are expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the development of Islamic education and knowledge that is responsive to global challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how financial management can help improve learning facilities and infrastructure in schools. In essence, this study looks at how planning, implementation, and supervision of funds can ensure the availability of adequate learning tools so that education can achieve the highest standards. The research uses qualitative methods, collecting data through direct observation, interviews, and document collection. The results show that good financial management greatly influences the improvement of facilities and infrastructure, from routine maintenance and the purchase of learning equipment to the development of school buildings. If money management is transparent and accountable, schools can allocate budgets fairly according to their main needs. In addition, the active role of the principal, treasurer, and school committee is key to maintaining efficient and effective fund management. Finally, by implementing accountable financial management, the quality of education can be improved thanks to better facilities and infrastructure to support the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of STEAM learning based on terrarium-making projects in fifth-grade elementary school science subjects. The background of the study is based on the low critical thinking skills of students due to the dominance of traditional learning methods that do not provide opportunities for scientific exploration. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) design model of Kemmis and McTaggart which was conducted in two cycles involving 20 students. The research instruments included a critical thinking ability test (pretest–posttest), observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data were analyzed using average scores, N-Gain scores, and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental class with an N-Gain value of 0.67 (medium-high category), while the control class obtained a value of 0.30 (low-medium category). STEAM learning based on terrarium projects has been proven to improve students' critical thinking skills through analytical, evaluative, collaborative, and contextual problem-solving activities. Thus, the STEAM approach is recommended as an effective science learning strategy to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes.
