Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to produce E-LKPD based on Contextual teaching and learning onthe material of flat geometry in grade IV of elementary school that is valid, practicaland effective. The method used in this study is the research and developmentmethod, using the ADDIE model through the stages of analysis, design,development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection using interviews,questionnaires, test results, documentation. Data analysis techniques are carriedout by analyzing validity, practicality and effectiveness. The results of dataanalysis in the E-LKPD development study obtained a validity value of 93%, with avery valid category, then obtained a practicality value of 88.6% with a verypractical category, and obtained an effectiveness value of 74% with an effectivecategory. Based on the results of the analysis of validity, practicality andeffectiveness, it can be concluded that E-LKPD based on contextual teaching andlearning is suitable for use in learning mathematics on flat geometry material ingrade IV of elementary school.

This research is motivated by the tolerance attitudes and learning outcomes offourth-grade students at SD Inpres BTN IKIP I, which are partly caused by the useof passive methods. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of the ValueClarification Technique (VCT) learning model on learning outcomes and tolerancecharacter.This quantitative study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with asample of 25 fourth-grade students at SD Inpres BTN IKIP I selected throughsampling. Data were collected using learning outcome tests, tolerance characterquestionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics,normality tests, and paired-sample t-tests.The results showed that theimplementation of the VCT model significantly improved students' learningoutcomes and tolerance character. Average learning outcomes increased from55.13 to 85.86, and tolerance character scores increased from 42.6 to 90.2. Thisconsistent and even improvement demonstrates the effectiveness of VCT inhelping students internalize Pancasila values, think critically, and develop positivesocial attitudes

This study aims to develop and implement Quizizz-based learning media to increase the learning interest of 5th grade students of SD Kutamaneuh 1 on the material of light and its properties. Through a quantitative approach with a pre-experiment research design, this study involved students as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through a learning interest questionnaire before and after treatment and observation of student activity during learning. The results showed an increase in student interest in learning after the application of Quizizz learning media. This is indicated by an increase in the average score of students' interest in learning in the post- test compared to the pre-test. In addition, observations also showed an increase in student activity and participation during the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that Quizizz learning media is effective in increasing students' interest in learning about light and its properties. This research is expected to contribute to the development of innovative learning media and attract students' interest in learning

This article discusses the implementation of multicultural education as a strategic effort to prevent discrimination in elementary schools. In the context of Indonesia’s multicultural society, schools are expected to serve as safe and inclusive spaces for all students. Through a qualitative study conducted in public elementary schools, it was found that multicultural education is implemented through both learning and personal development activities, such as the integration of tolerance values in lesson plans, classroom discussions, and culture based extracurricular activities. The role of teachers is crucial as facilitators and drivers of change toward an equitable and just environment. However, the implementation of multicultural education faces challenges such as a lack of understanding, stereotypes, and limited teaching materials. Proposed solutions include teacher training, the development of a multicultural curriculum, and the creation of an inclusive school climate. In conclusion, multicultural education must become an integral part of school culture to foster the emergence of a tolerant, open minded, and discrimination-free generation.

Research related to the development of digital comics in arts and culture learning, in arts and culture learning at MIN 2 SINJAI, learning is centered on educators. The research aims to: (1) To find out the results of the analysis of the development needs of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (2) To find out the design of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (3) To describe the results of the validity of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (4) To describe the results of the practicality of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. This researcher uses the R&D (Research and development) research type. This study uses the Four D (4D) development model, this model has stages, namely the Define stage, the Design stage, the Develop stage, and the Disseminate stage. This study was conducted at MIN 2 Sinjai with a total of 24 students and 1 fourth-grade homeroom teacher as research subjects. The data sources in this study were 2 validators consisting of a content validator and a media validator. Data collection was through content expert validation, media validation, and practicality trials. The results of the observation stated that the development of digital comic media was very necessary, while the media validation was in a very valid qualification, the content validation was in a very valid qualification, and the practicality trial was in a practical qualification. The conclusion is that the development of Digital Comic Media is practical for use by students.

Early childhood is considered a golden period of development, during which the brain grows rapidly and children are highly receptive to values conveyed through their environment. One of the essential character values that must be instilled at an early age is honesty. Honesty serves as a fundamental basis for shaping children into individuals with integrity and responsibility. In this context, the roles of both teachers and parents are vital in the character-building process. Teachers act as role models and educators who integrate the value of honesty into daily learning activities at school, both directly through storytelling and educational games, and indirectly through their own attitudes and behavior. Meanwhile, parents serve as the primary figures at home, providing consistent and concrete examples of honest 2 behavior in everyday life. Open communication, helping children understand the consequences of dishonesty, and giving appreciation for honest behavior are key strategies parents can apply in teaching their children. Furthermore, collaboration between teachers and parents is crucial in creating a synergistic and consistent educational environment, so that the value of honesty becomes a strong habit embedded in the child's character. The main challenges in this process include negative media influences, inconsistent behavior among adults, and a lack of supervision in children's play environments. Therefore, a shared awareness and a continuous, well-structured approach are needed to ensure that character education—particularly the value of honesty—can be firmly rooted from early childhood.

This study aims to examine the effect of using scrapbook as a learning medium on thedescriptive writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri No. 15 Jawi-Jawi, MarosRegency. The main issue identified is the low writing ability of students, as indicated by70% of them not meeting the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). The study employs a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The subjects consisted of27 students who were purposively selected. The primary instrument used was a descriptivewriting test, which assessed five aspects: object description, content organization,grammar, spelling, and neatness. The pretest results showed an average score of 50, withall students scoring below the mastery standard. After four sessions using the scrapbookmedium, the posttest average significantly increased to 84.26, and all students met themastery criteria. A normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, and at-test showed a significance value of < 0.05, indicating a significant effect. The findingssuggest that the scrapbook medium is efficacious in improving descriptive writing skills atthe elementary level, as it encourages students to express ideas in a more structured andcreative written form.

This study explores the implementation of the Prophetic Storytelling Method in enhancing students' motivation to learn the Qur’an at the Al-Azhar Qur’anic Education Center in Central Maccini. It aims to improve students’ learning motivation through prophetic narratives and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in applying this method. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design involving 28 students (14 females and 14 males). Data were collected through observation, interviews with Qur’anic teachers, and a series of tests, including a pre-test and two post-tests, each consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions.The results show a significant increase in students’ motivation. The average pre-test score was 64.6 with a success rate of 25%. In the first cycle, the average post-test score rose to 69.4 with a 46.4% success rate. In the second cycle, the average post-test score reached 80.8 with a success rate of 92.8%. These findings indicate that the Prophetic Storytelling Method effectively enhances students’ motivation and meets the success indicator of 70%.

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in utilizing digital media in Indonesian language learning on the World Window Book material in class V of SD Negeri 232 Palembang. The background of the study is based on the increasingly rapid development of technology, which requires teachers to be creative in choosing and using relevant and interesting learning media. The use of digital media is believed to be able to increase learning interactions, motivate students, and help achieve Indonesian language competencies effectively. This study focuses on how teachers utilize digital media in the learning process, including challenges, strategies, and positive and negative impacts on students' language interests and abilities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study are expected to contribute to teachers in designing more interactive and meaningful learning, for students in improving their understanding of Indonesian language material, and for schools to support digital media facilities as an effective learning tool.

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students inscience subjects at UPT SD Negeri 2 Rappang. One of the contributing factors isthe lack of variation in the learning media used by teachers, which causesstudents to feel bored and have difficulty understanding the material. This studyaims to analyze students science learning outcomes before and after theimplementation of interactive learning media based on Powtoon, and to determinewhether there is a significant difference following the treatment. This research isan experimental study using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjectsconsisted of 20 fifth-grade students. Data were collected using a multiple-choicetest consisting of 30 items administered before and after the treatment. The datawere analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of SPSSversion 25 software, employing the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of theanalysis showed an increase in the students’ average scores after using Powtoonas a learning medium. The significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05,indicating a statistically significant difference between the students learningoutcomes before and after the treatment. Therefore, it can be concluded that theuse of interactive learning media based on Powtoon has a positive impact onimproving science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students.
