Abstract

This study aims to explore students' perceptions of school discipline policies in addressing violations at MA Nurul Karomah Galis Bangkalan. Adolescents often experience behavioral turbulence during their transitional phase, requiring guidance through structured school rules. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that while most students understand the intent behind the rules, their perception of fairness and consistency in implementation varies. Students tend to accept the rules more when they perceive the enforcement as just and educators as role models. Disciplinary policies are effective when paired with consistent communication and a supportive environment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Snakes and Ladders learning media to improve the calculation skills (addition and subtraction) of second-grade students at SDN 32 Panggi, Bima City. With the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT), the education system needs to adapt to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning process. Observations at the school show that monotonous and less innovative teaching methods have a negative impact on students' understanding of mathematics. Therefore, this study uses the ADDIE development model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The Snakes and Ladders media is expected to increase students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics. A trial was conducted on 28 students using a pre-test and post-test to measure the improvement of students' abilities. The analysis results show that the use of this media is effective in improving students' addition and subtraction skills, with an N-Gain value of 0.72, which indicates high benefits of the media. Teacher and student responses also show a very good level of practicality, which means that this media is easy to apply in the teaching and learning process. The conclusion of this study is that the Snakes and Ladders media can be an effective alternative for mathematics learning in elementary schools. Thus, integrating interactive media such as Snakes and Ladders into learning can help create a more engaging and effective learning experience, thereby improving the quality of education and student learning outcomes.
