Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of student apathy on the Civic Education Study Program Organization (HMPPKn) at Sriwijaya University. Apathy among students has emerged as a critical challenge to the sustainability of student organizations, particularly in declining active participation and collective spirit. This research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach using proportionate stratified random sampling, involving 113 respondents from the 2023 and 2024 student cohorts. Data were collected using a Guttman-scale questionnaire and analyzed through simple linear regression. The results reveal a significant influence between student apathy and organizational involvement. The study identifies three main indicators of apathy: the inability to acknowledge personal responsibility, a sense of insecurity and perceived threat, and absolute acceptance of authority without critical challenge. These attitudes negatively affect organizational dynamics, such as low participation in activities, poor leadership initiative, and a weakened sense of belonging. The findings highlight the need for structured efforts by the study program and organization leaders to foster collective awareness, enhance motivation for engagement, and build an inclusive and supportive environment. Thus, strengthening character education and civic values is a vital strategy to mitigate student apathy in academic organizations.

Abstract

The birdcage industry in Dawuhan Mangli Sukowono Village has deep historical roots and is an integral part of the local cultural heritage. This study aims to assess the dynamics of the sector and design an efficient marketing strategy to strengthen the competitive position of businesses in an increasingly fierce market. The research methodology adopted a combination approach (quantitative and qualitative), with data collection through structured surveys and in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs and relevant stakeholders. To identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis), data were analyzed using the Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation Matrix (EFE). Research findings indicate that, despite promising market potential, entrepreneurs face constraints such as demand fluctuations and competitive intensity. It is hoped that this research can provide practical recommendations for businesses and related parties in formulating policies that support the progress of the handicraft industry, especially birdcages, in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the Strengthening Project of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) is implemented within the Merdeka Curriculum, specifically in Grade 1 at SD Negeri 231 Palembang. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The main focus is on the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the project, as well as the roles of both teachers and students. The findings show that although the school has not yet formed a formal facilitator team, teachers carry out the project independently, relying on prior training and collaboration with colleagues. Project themes are adapted to the school environment and student needs, emphasizing values such as independence, cooperation, and respect for diversity. Teachers play a key role in guiding and encouraging students to actively participate. Challenges encountered include limited time and less-than-optimal student involvement. Nevertheless, the P5 project has a positive impact on shaping students’ character from an early age. This study recommends strengthening teacher collaboration and increasing institutional support to improve the sustainability and effectiveness of the project

Abstract

This study aims to find out the factors that inhibit reading learning in grade II students of SD Negeri 2 Babat. This study uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques were used, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that there are factors that inhibit reading learning in grade II students of SD Negeri 2 Babat, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors, which come from the students themselves, include not knowing the letters, not knowing the meaning of the words they read, not being able to read fluently, lack of interest in learning to read, lack of enthusiasm in learning to read, students having difficulty focusing on learning to read, students not being able to answer questions about what they read, students having difficulty combining letters into words, students not understanding punctuation and the use of intonation when reading punctuation. External factors are factors that come from outside the student including the school environment, family environment, and peer influence. The school environment is the lack of facilities in the school such as books and reading corners/reading corners, the approach taken by teachers is less interesting and boring for students, libraries that should be used as a place for student literacy cannot be used because schools lack space for learning, and student interaction with peers is relatively low, thus reducing opportunities to share reading experiences or discuss reading.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using web-based learning media on the learning activeness of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject. The research was motivated by the low level of student participation in conventional learning processes. A quasi-experimental method was used, applying a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects consisted of two classes: an experimental group using the Scarth website media and a control group using conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through observations and questionnaires, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the use of web-based media had a significant impact on increasing student learning activeness. This was evident from the posttest mean differences between the experimental and control groups. The N-Gain index of the experimental group was also higher than that of the control group, indicating a more effective improvement in learning activeness through the use of website-based media. Based on these findings, it is concluded that web-based learning tools such as Scarth can serve as an innovative alternative to create more interactive and engaging learning environments and enhance students’ active involvement in the learning process.
