Abstract

Education is a crucial means of passing on culture. This research aims to develop a valid HTML5 Flip-assisted e-module for learning cultural heritage materials, intended for grade 5 elementary school students. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method of Richey and Klein model which consists of three stages, namely planning, production, and evaluation. Participants in this study consisted of one elementary school teacher and one instructional designer as validators of material experts and media experts. The results showed that the Flip HTML5-assisted e-module is very valid to be used as a learning medium. Material expert validation obtained a score of 96% and was categorized as very valid, while media expert validation obtained a value of 89% which means very valid. Thus, this e-module can be an alternative innovative learning media that is feasible to be implemented in primary education.

Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of augmented reality media on science learning in elementary schools. Effectiveness is reviewed from the improvement of student learning outcomes in elementary school science learning. For this reason, augmented reality media appears to provide an interactive and interesting learning experience. Through a systematic literature review on Google Scholar on 7 articles from 2021-2025 which were selected through a screening process through the publish or perish application, the criteria were determined: discussing three keywords, namely augmented reality media, science learning and elementary school, and feasibility. Eligibility filters several aspects 1) minimum article index sinta 3, 2) availability for download in the form of pdf files. After going through the screening process, the results showed that AR media in science learning in elementary schools can significantly improve students' understanding, critical thinking skills, technology skills, learning motivation, and learning outcomes in science learning. This comes from the characteristics of AR media that are easy to integrate with learning models and conventional learning media, besides that augmented reality media is also considered interactive and helps visualize complex images, such as in human organ material, the solar system, landscapes, materials that require visual explanation. Therefore, teachers as educators no longer experience problems explaining material visually, and it is hoped that from this research teachers can also see how effective augmented reality media is in learning science in elementary schools

Abstract

Mathematical literacy and student self-efficacy need to be considered because mathematical literacy skills are very important for students to possess and self-efficacy is needed so that students can have confidence in themselves to achieve academic goals. The purpose of this study is to find out what learning media is suitable to be applied to Mathematics Education students, Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta. In addition, this study also aims to determine the level of mathematical literacy and self-efficacy of Mathematics Education students at Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta. The research design used in this study is quantitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire and test techniques. The instruments used in this study are preliminary study questionnaires, self-efficacy questionnaires, mathematical literacy test questions, The data analysis techniques used in this study are qualitative data analysis with the stages of analysis are: (1) Data Reduction; (2) Data Presentation; and (3) Conclusion Drawn. The procedure for this research includes 3 stages, namely the initial stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The results of this study show that there is a need for problem-based learning e-module learning media that is oriented to improve mathematical literacy and student self-efficacy. This can be seen in the results of the study which show that the level of mathematical literacy and self-efficacy still needs to be improved. In addition, students' interest in e-modules is also the basis for students' needs for e-modules. This can illustrate that the e-module is a learning medium that is suitable to be applied to Mathematics Education students, Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Suggestions for further research are the need to develop problem-based learning e-modules to improve students' mathematical literacy and self-efficacy

Abstract

Gender-sensitive pedagogy plays a crucial role in fostering equitable educational environments, particularly in high school sociology, where discussions on social structures and gender dynamics are central. However, traditional teaching methodologies often reinforce gender biases, limiting opportunities for inclusive learning. With advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning, new educational tools have emerged that can help address these biases by providing personalized learning experiences, adaptive assessments, and real-time feedback. This study explores the role of deep learning in supporting gender-sensitive pedagogy through a systematic literature review. The research method follows a qualitative approach, utilizing academic journals, conference proceedings, policy reports, and review articles published within the last five years. The collected data is analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s framework, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify key themes and trends. The findings indicate that AI-powered tools can detect gender biases, enable adaptive learning, and enhance inclusivity in high school sociology education. However, challenges such as AI biases, ethical concerns, technological barriers, and resistance from traditional educational institutions persist. The study concludes that while deep learning presents significant opportunities for advancing gender-sensitive pedagogy, its effective implementation requires teacher training, policy support, and ethical oversight. Future research should focus on practical applications and long-term impacts of AI in gender-sensitive education.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of digitalization on the teaching methods in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), with a particular focus on the deterritorialization process through digital technology integration. In many cases, the digital approach is leveraged to complement traditional learning for alumni and external audiences who seek the spiritual atmosphere of the pesantren, while santri mukim (resident students) continue to learn directly under the guidance of a kiai in a dedicated religious environment (masjid or musala). The main aim of this research is to analyze how classical methods such as halaqah, sorogan, and bandongan are adapted to digital platforms. By employing qualitative case study methodology, the research identifies the benefits of digitalization, including enhanced access to education beyond the boarding environment, expanded reach of religious teachings, and increased participation in learning activities. However, the study also highlights persistent challenges faced by many pesantren in implementing digital tools, including low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by demonstrating that selective integration of digital tools can enhance the relevance of pesantren for a broader community while retaining traditional values. To ensure the sustainability of digital transformation, the study suggests the need for improved digital literacy training, collaboration with technology providers, and clear governance policies. Future research should focus on how remote pesantren can address infrastructure limitations and investigate the long-term effects of digitalization on character development and religious understanding among both resident and non-resident students.
