Abstract

The Indonesian retail industry is experiencing dynamic transformation driven by advanced technology adoption, digitalization, and changing consumer behavior, with Technavio (2024) projecting industry revenue to surge to approximately USD 49.56 billion with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.73% from 2024 to 2028. Despite significant growth opportunities, the retail sector faces complex challenges including intense competition, inventory and supply chain management issues, high operational costs, economic volatility, and regulatory compliance, making retail businesses vulnerable to cost pressures that encompass rental expenses, labor costs, logistics, and digital marketing expenses. This research aims to analyze the application of management accounting in cost planning and control at CV. Arafa Berkah Indonesia, a retail company operating in the fashion industry, evaluating the extent to which management accounting methods have been implemented and identifying constraints faced in their implementation through in-depth data analysis and examination of relevant theoretical concepts. The study reveals that CV. Arafa Berkah Indonesia has successfully implemented management accounting in cost planning and control, with the company's information system generating relevant data that significantly influences managerial decision-making. The implementation of Activity-Based Budgeting (ABB) method in cost planning assists the company in designing budgets according to activities in each division, while the use of Activity Variable Cost method in cost control supports the company in adjusting expenditures to dynamic activity volumes and market demands, with effectiveness reflected through the application of management accounting indicators across various cost types, serving as a foundation for sustainable strategy formulation. Although management accounting implementation operates optimally, the company still encounters several constraints including adjustment challenges with budget control applications and fluctuations in variable costs, particularly digital advertising costs caused by dynamic advertising competition levels and social media platform algorithms, which can affect pre-designed cost planning when actual costs exceed established budgets, requiring companies to rapidly readjust their strategies.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has led to a significant increase in the use of pay-later services, in Indonesia, offering transactional convenience but also raising concerns over rising consumerist behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-control, social pressure, and promotional strategies on the consumptive behavior of pay later users, with financial literacy serving as a moderating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed, using questionnaires distributed to active pay later users in West Jakarta. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA). The findings are expected to demonstrate that self-control negatively affects consumptive behavior, while social pressure and promotional strategies have a positive influence. Furthermore, financial literacy is predicted to moderate these relationships by weakening both the negative and positive effects. The study provides theoretical and practical insights into understanding consumer behavior in digital finance, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy in promoting responsible spending.

Abstract

The development of non-cash transactions in Indonesia shows significant growth in line with the increasing use of the internet and digital technology. One of the prominent innovations is digital wallet (e-wallet) services such as OVO, GO-PAY, and DANA which now dominate the national market. This study aims to analyze the impact of brand awareness on brand loyalty through purchase intentions in e-wallet users. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method and the distribution of questionnaires to 120 respondents in Tangerang City. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) by testing the outer model, inner model, and mediation analysis through the Variance Accounted For (VAF) method. The results of the study show that brand awareness has a significant effect on brand loyalty and purchase intent. Meanwhile, purchase intent acts as a partial mediating variable between brand awareness and brand loyalty. These findings reinforce the importance of e-wallet companies' strategies in building brand awareness to drive repeat purchase intent which ultimately increases brand loyalty. This research also provides practical implications for e-wallet providers to focus on consistent marketing communication strategies, as well as theoretical for the development of literature on consumer behavior in the digital age.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a strategic instrument that not only functions as a form of corporate social responsibility, but also as a means of preventing various human rights violations, including human trafficking in the industrial supply chain. This study aims to analyze the role and effectiveness of CSR implementation supervision in preventing labor exploitation and human trafficking in the industrial sector, as well as identifying legal and policy challenges that hinder its implementation in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative juridical approach by examining related laws and regulations, legal doctrines, and case studies of companies with extensive supply chains. The results of the study indicate that CSR implementation oriented towards fulfilling the principle of human rights due diligence can be an early prevention mechanism against human trafficking practices. However, the weak government oversight system and the lack of company transparency in supply chain reporting cause the effectiveness of CSR to be less than optimal. Therefore, strengthening regulations and independent audit mechanisms are needed to ensure the integration of humanitarian aspects into companies' CSR policies. In conclusion, optimizing CSR oversight is a strategic step towards building an industrial ecosystem that is ethical, just, and free from human trafficking practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Digital Health Readiness, Interprofessional Collaboration, and Leadership Agility on Hospital Innovation Performance in hospitals. Data were collected from 202 hospital staff using a structured questionnaire. Analysis was conducted using the PLS-SEM approach to test the direct effects, total effects, and constructual performance of each variable. The results showed that Leadership Agility had the most dominant and significant influence on hospital innovation performance, emphasizing the importance of adaptive leadership, responsiveness to change, and the ability to lead teams effectively. Interprofessional Collaboration also contributed positively and significantly, indicating that cross-professional coordination and cooperation enhance innovation effectiveness through team synergy and collective decision-making. Conversely, Digital Health Readiness did not show a significant influence on innovation performance, despite its relatively high constructual performance, indicating that digital readiness needs to be optimized through more mature technology implementation and utilization strategies. These findings confirm that the success of hospital innovation depends heavily on the combination of agile leadership, effective professional collaboration, and strategic use of digital technology. The results of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing managerial strategies and increasing hospital innovation capacity in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of work-life balance, work environment, and career development on employee retention, with work motivation serving as an intervening variable. The primary issue explored is how property companies can retain employees by analyzing their perceptions of work-life balance, work environment, and career development through work motivation, particularly among Generation Z. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the extent to which these selected variables affect employee retention in property companies in Tangerang, as many Gen Z employees today tend not to stay long when entering the workforce for the first time. This case study employs a qualitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method on 115 active Gen Z respondents who met the criteria. The results show that work-life balance does not significantly influence employee retention, nor does the work environment. Only career development has a significant effect on retention, as many employees are highly concerned about career growth, which motivates them to remain with the company. These findings provide new insights indicating that, within the real estate/property sector, employee retention is not dependent on work–life balance, as flexible working hours and the work environment tend to be overlooked by Gen Z employees. Instead, Generation Z prioritizes career and positional advancement as the primary factor influencing their decision to stay or leave.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan or SMK) possess a crucial role in preparing students to get involved in the workforce. Students are ready to  work if they have relevant work experience, master competency, and own strong soft skills. This readiness can be achieved when students actively participate in Internship Programs (Praktik Kerja Lapangan or PKL), hold competency certificates as proof of skill mastery, exhibit strong soft skills, and show a genuine interest in working. This study aims to examine the influence of internship experience, competency certification, and soft skills on students’ work readiness, with job interest acting as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 12th-grade students majoring in Accounting and Financial Institutions at private vocational schools in Tangerang City. The study involved 359 respondents from 25 schools, selected using a non-probability sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that internship experience, competency certification, and soft skills have a positive and significant effect on students' work readiness. Furthermore, job interest is proven to moderate the relationship between these variables and work readiness.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out and analyze the Influence of Teamwork, Communication, and Work Discipline on Employee Job Satisfaction at PT ISTEM. In conducting this study, the author used the saturated sampling method. There were 52 respondents who filled out the questionnaire (g-form) and were supported by SPSS version 25. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it is shown that the value of the Adjusted R Square is 0.710 or 71.0%, while for the rest, which is 29%, is explained by variables or other factors that are not explained in this regression analysis. Based on the t-test, it was shown that the variable X1 (Teamwork) had a value of 1.750 > 1.67655 with a significant value of 0.086 > 0.05, meaning that Ho was rejected Ha was accepted, the variable X2 (Communication) was 1.855 >1.67655 with a significant value of 0.070 > 0.05, meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, the variable X3 (Work Discipline) was 2.987 > 1.67655 with a significant value of 0.004 < 0.05,  meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the F test of 42.697 > 2.57 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that what means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted means that there is a simultaneous influence of independent variables on dependent variables.
