Abstract

Indonesia has risen to 34th place globally in performance competitiveness, up from 44th the previous year, highlighting significant potential for improvement. To maintain and enhance this competitiveness, it is essential to focus on the factors influencing performance. Companies in Indonesia must effectively engage with their employees to foster a productive work environment. This study aims to examine the influence of work pressure, task complexity, and work motivation on employee performance, along with the moderating effect of resilience ability. Utilizing the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and Smart PLS software, the research analyzes data from a sample of 215 respondents, determined based on the Hair method. The findings indicate that work pressure has a direct impact on performance, as does task complexity, suggesting that both factors significantly influence employee outcomes. Additionally, resilience ability moderates the relationship between work pressure and performance, meaning that employees with higher resilience can better cope with job pressures, ultimately enhancing their performance. However, the study found that resilience ability does not significantly moderate the relationships between task complexity and performance, nor between work motivation and employee performance. This indicates that while resilience plays a crucial role in handling work pressure, it may not affect the other dimensions as strongly. The implications of these findings suggest that companies should focus on balancing work pressure and reducing unnecessary task complexity. Additionally, enhancing work motivation is vital for improving overall employee performance. By creating a supportive environment that reduces pressure and complexity while fostering motivation, companies can cultivate a more effective and resilient workforce, contributing to the overall enhancement of Indonesia's global competitiveness.

Abstract

Students today face a number of difficulties when it comes to handling their finances in the digital age. Anxiety or worry about missing out on exciting opportunities or social interactions is known as FOMO, and it is one of the newer phenomena. FOMO is frequently brought on by social media, where people can be influenced to engage in consumerist behavior by seeing their friends buying new things or taking part in different activities. The mental health of Generation Z is significantly impacted by FOMO as well. High levels of stress, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy can result from the pressure to constantly be online and actively participate in social media. They constantly compare themselves to others they observe in their daring lives, which frequently leads them to conclude that many aspects of their lives that are shared on social media are representations that are dissimilar from reality. Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has a positive and significant impact on financial behavior. Financial literacy has a positive and significant impact on financial transactions. The research methodology used is quantitative research employing validity tests, reliability tests, linear regression, t-tests, correlation, and determination of significant and positive influence in the financial management study of the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Paulus. The variable X1, or fear of missing out, has a significant impact on the financial performance of the students in the Program of Study Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Paulus. The financial literacy variable, also known as X2, has a significant and positive impact on the financial literacy of the Program Study Management Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Paulus.

Abstract

This research was conducted to measure the influence of service quality and customer satisfaction on enhancing customer loyalty at PT BPR Syariah Harta Insan Karimah. In this study, service quality and customer satisfaction serve as independent variables, while customer loyalty is the dependent variable. A quantitative research method was applied, utilizing purposive sampling to select 100 respondents who met specific criteria relevant to the study's objectives. Data collection was carried out through structured questionnaires based on established indicators for each variable. To analyze the data, multiple linear regression analysis was used to evaluate both the simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on customer loyalty. The results reveal that service quality and customer satisfaction together have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, suggesting that a combination of excellent service and high customer satisfaction contributes to strengthening customer relationships. However, when examined individually, only service quality was found to have a significant and positive impact on customer loyalty, while customer satisfaction did not show a significant influence. This implies that while satisfaction is important, the quality of service plays a more dominant role in fostering loyalty among customers. The findings underscore the strategic importance of consistently delivering high service quality to build long-term customer relationships and sustain competitive advantage in the banking sector.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, the rapid development of technology affects people's lifestyles, encouraging high consumptive behavior. This phenomenon is especially seen in students, who are often trapped in the purchase of goods not only for needs, but also for desires and social status. This study aims to evaluate the influence of financial knowledge and financial behavior on consumptive behavior among students of the Department of Accounting, University of Islam Malang. The method used was a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, involving 196 students as a sample from a total population of 386 students. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. The results showed that financial knowledge had a significant effect on financial behavior and consumptive behavior, while financial behavior also had a significant effect on consumptive behavior. Convergence and discriminatory validity are tested with AVE and cross loading, which indicates all constructs are valid. The reliability test showed that the composite value of reliability and Cronbach's Alpha was more than 0.70. The R-square test shows that consumptive behavior is explained 90% by financial knowledge and financial behavior, while financial behavior is explained by 73.9% by financial knowledge. In conclusion, both financial knowledge and financial behavior have a significant influence on students' consumptive behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job stress, workload, and work-life balance on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in private companies located in Tangerang City. The study is motivated by the importance of addressing job stress, reducing excessive workload, and recognizing the significance of balancing professional and personal life in order to enhance employee performance. Private sector organizations in urban centers like Tangerang are increasingly facing challenges in maintaining workforce productivity due to heightened pressure, demanding workloads, and blurred boundaries between work and personal life. These factors can lead to diminished job satisfaction and ultimately decreased employee performance. Understanding how these factors interrelate, particularly the role of job satisfaction as a mediating variable, can help organizations implement more effective human resource strategies and performance improvement initiatives. A quantitative approach was employed in this research, with data collected via an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. The sample was selected using a convenience sampling method, targeting employees with a minimum of one year of work experience. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS software and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine relationships and mediating effects among variables. The findings show that job stress, workload, and work-life balance significantly affect employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction mediates the influence of job stress and workload on employee performance, although it does not mediate the relationship between work-life balance and performance. The study provides practical recommendations for companies to enhance job satisfaction and support employees' work-life balance as strategies to optimize performance.

Abstract

The performance of a company is a sacrifice made by a person, team, or organization to achieve a particular desire or goal. Measuring company performance is an aspect that is needed or used by certain parties in evaluating company performance or future planning. The balanced scorecard (BSC) can provide a choice of strategic systems that aim to measure work results and improve the organization. The use of a balanced scorecard can also replace business plans and strategies with an organizational benchmark. Currently, there are four aspects of performance measurement in the balanced scorecard, namely the financial aspect, the customer aspect, the internal business aspect, and the learning and growth aspect. From the research results obtained by PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk for 2021, 2022, and 2023, the company's performance from a financial perspective is in a good position with a liquidity ratio of 265.32%, 209.93%, and 174.11%. Leverage ratio 31.53%, 35.09%, and 39.31%. Profitability ratio 31.53%; 35.09%; and 39.31%. The customer perspective is quite good, as seen from the 2022-2021 period of 17.44% and the 2023-2022 period of 0.83%, with a score of 2. The internal business perspective is in good condition, as seen from the 2022-2021 period of 52.11% and the 2023-2022 period of 22.92%, with a score of 3 and a score of 2. From the learning and growth perspective, from 2021 to 2023, the total number of employees continues to increase, in contrast to the number of employees who leave, which decreases every year. The company continues to improve employee HR training and development, which is carried out continuously every year.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly fierce global competition, enhancing employee work productivity has become a crucial factor determining an organization's success in achieving its goals. Employee productivity is influenced by various complex and interrelated factors, including the training provided, leadership style applied, and workload imposed. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of these three factors on employee work productivity. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, this study examined various scientific journals discussing the relationship between training, leadership, and workload on employee productivity. The literature search process was conducted through several leading journal databases such as Scopus, Science Direct, Google Scholar, JSTOR, and Emerald Insight using specific keywords related to research variables. The analysis results show that effective training programs significantly improve employee skills and competencies, enabling them to complete tasks more effectively and efficiently. Training is not limited to conventional technical skills but also includes digital literacy and adaptability to evolving technologies. Appropriate leadership styles, particularly transformational and participatory, have been proven to increase employee motivation and job satisfaction, ultimately positively impacting productivity. Leaders who can inspire, motivate, and empower employees tend to create a conducive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated to deliver their best performance. Optimal workload management contributes to maintaining work-life balance and reducing stress, with the relationship between workload and performance not necessarily linear and simple, but involving complex psychological processes. These findings confirm that these three factors have a significant influence on employee work productivity, both individually and simultaneously. In the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era and digital transformation, the interaction between these three factors becomes increasingly important to consider in creating organizational resilience. The dimension of organizational culture is also an important moderating factor in the relationship between training, leadership style, workload, and productivity. The practical implication of this research is the need for organizations to adopt a more integrated and contextual approach to improving employee work productivity, by designing strategic policies that align training programs, leadership development, and workload management within a cohesive organizational cultural framework to optimize human resource performance.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the frequent job-hopping behavior of Generation Z. Several surveys indicate that Gen Z tends to change jobs due to salary, opportunities for growth, and work environment. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of compensation, career advancement, and work environment on the loyalty of Generation Z employees in Tangerang City, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The sample consists of 187 respondents aged 15–27 years who work across various industry sectors in Tangerang City and were selected using purposive sampling. The results show that each independent variablecompensation, career advancement, and work environment has a significant effect on both loyalty and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also has a significant influence on employee loyalty. However, job satisfaction does not mediate the influence of compensation, career advancement, and work environment on loyalty. This study highlights the importance of improving compensation packages, providing clear career paths, and fostering a supportive work environment to enhance the loyalty of Generation Z employees in Tangerang City. Future research is expected to explore other variables not measured in this study and to select respondents with experience in specific industry backgrounds.

Abstract

Unemployment is a condition caused by an imbalance between the number of workforce and job opportunities. The problem of unemployment is not only experienced by developing countries, but this unemployment problem is also experienced by developed countries. Indonesia, as a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Group of Twenty, is actively involved in promoting sustainable economic development. However, Indonesia continues to face challenges in absorbing labor within a macroeconomic framework that leads to unemployment problems. This situation threatens the welfare of its citizens, which has the potential to damage social and political stability. Therefore, it is important to conduct research that focuses on unemployment. This study aims to analyze the effect of investment, Human Development Index, Regency/City Minimum Wages, economic growth, Education in Banten Province. The study uses panel data regression, with a combination of time series data from 2017 to 2022 and cross-section data from 4 Regencies and 4 Cities in Banten Province. The results of this study indicate that the Human Development Index, economic growth, Education have an effect on unemployment because the development of Human Resources increases, economic growth, skilled labor can increase labor absorption. Meanwhile, investment and the Regency/City Minimum Wage do not affect unemployment because they only focus on capital-intensive sectors and there are still many companies that do not comply with the Regency/City Minimum Wage regulations. This study found the importance of increasing the Human Development Index, inclusive economic growth, and workforce skills as strategies in reducing unemployment in Banten Province.
