Abstract

The garment manufacturing industry in Indonesia faces ongoing challenges in maintaining consistent product quality, as seen at Hilton Konveksi, where defect rates often exceed the acceptable 1% tolerance limit. This study aims to identify the root causes of product defects in the production of work trousers and propose structured improvements to enhance quality control. Using the Lean Six Sigma methodology integrated with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework and supported by the Kaizen philosophy, the research provides a systematic and data-driven approach to process optimization. Data were collected through observation, interviews, check sheets, and company documentation. The results show that the average defect rate reached 5.1%, with slanted stitching being the most frequent issue, accounting for 36% of total defects. Root cause analysis using the 5M (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Environment) framework revealed multiple contributing factors, including operator fatigue, lack of SOPs, and inadequate equipment maintenance. Kaizen-based improvement recommendations were implemented, focusing on preventive actions and employee involvement. The calculated sigma level of 3.61 indicates moderate process capability. Overall, the study demonstrates that the integration of Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen can effectively reduce defects, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency in garment manufacturing.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of occupational safety, occupational health, and social security on employee performance at PT. Bukit Angkasa Makmur in Central Bengkulu. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires. The total sample consisted of 84 employees. The research employed a quantitative approach. The results revealed that the independent variables—occupational safety, occupational health, and social security—simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, employee performance. Furthermore, each independent variable also showed a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. The findings indicate that improving occupational safety through the provision of personal protective equipment and a secure work environment, enhancing occupational health systems, and ensuring transparent and adequate social security measures can directly improve employee productivity. Therefore, it is recommended that the company continues to strengthen policies and practices in these three areas to support optimal performance. This study is expected to serve as a reference in human resource management, particularly in efforts to enhance performance through improved employee welfare.

Abstract

Lifestyle changes and easy access to various financial services have had a significant impact on spending behavior, especially in early adulthood. At this time, individuals begin to manage finances independently but are faced with challenges in managing personal finances amidst increasing needs and desires influenced by social trends and consumptive lifestyles. This study aims to determine the effect of financial management on spending behavior in early adult individuals. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 73 respondents aged 18 to 25 years selected by convenience sampling technique. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The results of the analysis showed that most participants had a low level of financial management, while the level of spending behavior was quite high. However, the simple linear regression test results show that financial management does not have a significant influence on spending behavior (significance value > 0.05). The coefficient of determination of 0.033 indicates that only 3.3% of spending behavior variables can be explained by financial management, while the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This finding suggests that spending behavior in early adulthood is not directly influenced by how well they manage their finances. Therefore, it is important for future research to consider psychological, social, cultural, and financial literacy factors in examining spending behavior in the younger generation more comprehensively.

Abstract

Disasters are a series of events that threaten people's lives, caused by environmental damage, high rainfall, and irresponsible community behavior that worsens disaster conditions, especially floods, which often occur in Indonesia. Natural, non-natural, and human factors. Natural factors include: Earthquakes, Tusunami, Losor Land. Non-natural factors include: Forest Fires. This study aims to analyze the use of the budget by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in distributing goods to people affected by natural disasters in Yogyakarta. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that budget management in BPBD has been carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, but faces several obstacles such as limited funds, complex bureaucracy, and time mismatches between budget planning and disaster events. The distribution strategy of goods is carried out through the identification of needs in the field, procurement based on applications, as well as documentation and evaluation in a transparent and accountable manner. SWOT analysis is also used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the use of the BPBD budget. This study concludes that the effectiveness and efficiency of budget use are greatly influenced by an adaptive planning system and good inter-agency coordination. These findings are expected to be strategic inputs for improving financial governance in disaster management at the regional level.

Abstract

The rapid development of e-commerce and social media in Indonesia has shifted consumer purchasing behavior, especially in the skincare industry. Daviena Skincare, a local brand, has experienced significant growth through digital platforms such as TikTok and Shopee. However, increasing competition has led to the use of promotional strategies that include overclaims, exaggerated product benefits without scientific evidence which may mislead consumers. One controversy involving Daviena emerged when a TikTok content creator revealed discrepancies between claimed and actual ingredients in a product, triggering public concern and negative online discussions. In parallel, online customer reviews also play a critical role in shaping consumer trust and purchase decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of overclaim in social media and online reviews on purchase decisions of Daviena Skincare products, with consumer behavior acting as a mediating variable. The research applies a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, with data collected through an online questionnaire involving 319 respondents who have seen Daviena promotions online. The analysis was conducted using SPSS. The results indicate that overclaim and online reviews significantly influence consumer behavior. However, both variables do not directly affect purchase decisions. Consumer behavior also does not have a significant direct effect on purchase decisions, suggesting that while awareness and perception are shaped, they may not result in action. These findings highlight the importance of ethical and transparent communication in digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly changed the marketing landscape and consumer behavior, particularly in the context of repeat purchases. This study aims to examine the influence of Customer Experience, Product Quality, and Perceived Value on Repurchase Intention, and analyze the role of Digital Marketing as a moderating variable in this relationship. Data were collected through an online survey of 150 respondents who had made digital transactions and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that Product Quality and Digital Marketing have a significant positive effect on Repurchase Intention, while Customer Experience and Perceived Value do not show a significant effect. Furthermore, Digital Marketing does not moderate the relationship between the three independent variables and repurchase intention. These findings emphasize the importance of product quality and a strong digital marketing strategy in building customer loyalty, but also indicate that digital interventions have not been sufficient to strengthen the influence of customer experience and perceived value on repeat purchase decisions.
