Abstract

The development of portable ladder drills as a medium for agility training has never been touched once. The ladder drill tool's mobile concept will make it easier for the trainer to use the device with a variety of varied agility training movements and can be used in more sports. Based on this, the research is carried out in an effort to make portable ladder drill training media that is useful as a medium for agility training. This research uses research and development level 3 methods. Product trials are conducted in three types, that is one on one practices with four respondents, small group trials worked with five respondents athletes, students majoring in Sports Education FKIP Universitas Riau, and large-scale tests. They work on 11 athletes KONI and Dispora Riau Province. The data analysis technique used in this research is the quantitative descriptive analysis technique. Furthermore, data collection techniques use a questionnaire (questionnaire). The results of this study indicate that: assessments made by material experts, media experts, one-on-one trials, small-scale trials, and large-scale trials are above 83 percent. Based on this study results, it can be concluded that the development of portable ladder drills is declared feasible as a medium to increase agility by sports actors. Considering that this development still has shortcomings, future research recommendations are related to providing cheaper and more functional product materials in terms of equipment installation efficiency.

Abstract

The quality of rest will give a good result for the adaptation of the exercise. Exercise is carried out, so that physical condition has improved. The pulse rate is an indicator that can be used to see the process or results of exercise adaptation. If the waking pulse rate is still high, it can be assumed that time is still needed to rest. This study aims to determine the difference in the pulse rate of waking up from samples who sleeps more than 6 hours and 6 hours below. The research is carried out by experiment. The sample is given 75% weight training with 12 tools for 12 meetings. Pulse measurement is done independently before and upon waking. Data are analyzed using the T-test. Based on the results, it is reported that 25 people are trying to rest 6 hours down and 47 times resting above 6 hours. Based on the T-test analysis, it is found that there is a significant difference between respondents who sleep less than 6 hours and more than 6 hours with a significance of .002 with a mean of -0.8 for those who rested 6 hours and less and 4.6 for those who sleep more than 6 hours. This research can be replicated by considering several variables related to the acceleration of recovery, including Vo2Max, blood HB, and it is necessary to consider the differences between sons and daughters.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, pencak silat athletes experienced difficulty improving physical fitness because training could not be done together with a coach, so their physical fitness decreased significantly. This study aimed to test Tabata and Circuit's effectiveness to improve female Pencak silat athletes' physical fitness. This research was quantitative with experimental methods. The subject of this research consisted of Female Pencak silat athletes with low physical fitness levels (n=20). All subjects were randomly allocated to experiment I of the Tabata weight training (TWT) (n = 10) and experiment II of the Circuit weight training (CWT) (n = 10). The results showed that the physical training such as arm muscle strength (t= 11.00; P<0.05), leg muscle strength (t= 7.900; P<0.05), muscle endurance (t= 6.014; P<0.05), flexibility (t= 10.34; P<0.05), endurance VO2max (t= 17.39; P<0.05) and power (t= 19.20; P<0.05), increased significantly due to the intervention of Tabata weight training. A similar increase occurred in Circuit weight training, physical fitness components, such as arm muscle strength (t= 4.910; P<0.05), leg muscle strength (t= 12.230; P<0.05), muscle endurance (t= 4.792; P<0.05), flexibility (t= 6.107; P<0.05), endurance VO2max (t= 5.533; P<0.05) and power (t= 5.982; P<0.05) increased significantly. Home-based weight training between Tabata and Circuit positively improved the physical fitness of female Pencak silat athletes. This research contributes knowledge in coaching so that lecturers and coaches can use it to improve aspects of athlete's physical fitness.

Abstract

The support for recording achievements in sports achievements, two of which are the ability to enter oxygen (O2) into the lungs and further the ability to take up this oxygen so that it can be utilized in the process of providing energy. The second function of O2 is to transport carbon dioxide (CO2) through respiration. These two processes are carried out simultaneously at least between the respiratory cycle and its close relationship with hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is part of the blood which has a function to bind O2 and CO2 at the end in the process of respiration. The purpose of this study was to determine evidence of a relationship between HB and VO2max. This research is a descriptive correlational study. Samples are sports athletes who are preparing for Pre PAPUA. The number of samples was 83 athletes in the game group consisting of sand volleyball (6), badminton (17), Petanque (12), table tennis (13), and Futsal (35). Measurement of VO2max was done by using the Bleep test and HB with the Hb test. Based on Kendall's tau non-parametric analysis, it is found that HB and VO2max are sufficiently correlated, so it is not certain that the higher the HB the higher the VO2max, although in the process of supplying energy these two variables are mutually supportive and relate.

Abstract

Psychological elements, namely introverted and extroverted personalities, are currently one of the keys to determining success in academics at the University level, but it is not clear which type is more correlated with academic achievement. The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between introverted and extroverted personalities with student academic achievement. The subjects in this study come from the PJKR Department of the University of Suryakancana (N=20) and Halu Oleo (N=20). Data analysis uses SPSS version 25 to find descriptive statistics, normality, data linearity and person product moment correlation. The level of significance used is 0.05. The results of the study finds that introverted personality is significantly correlated with academic achievement in the high category (r= 0.749**), and extroverted personality is not significantly correlated with academic achievement (r= -0.120). Thus, it can be concluded that the personality of students with introverted type is far superior to extroverts in academic achievement at the University level. The contribution in this study contributes to knowledge in the field of physical education psychology, so that later lecturers can pay more attention and optimize academic achievement in students with both types, especially the extroverted type.

Abstract

Gadget can cause sedentary behavior that can affect motor skills and pointedly as one of the contributing factors to anthropometry. The research objective is to identify anthropometric profiles and device use activities in early childhood. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and found 862 samples. The instrument in this study uses digital scale, stature meter and questionnaire. Data processing is using Microsoft Excel 2010 and the WHO Anthro Software. The results show that 40.49% of children used gadgets for more than 60 minutes per day and 59.51 are under 60 minutes per day. The pattern of playing gadgets shows 38.40% for games and 61.60% watching videos via YouTube. The anthropometric profile found children with very thin 1.97%, 16.00% thin, 66.36 normal, 5.34 fat, and 10.33 obese. In terms of height, it is found that 1.99% has a very short posture, 7.60% short, 84.01% normal, and 5.70% tall. Based on nutritional adequacy, there are 11.48% under nutrition, 75.17% good nutrition, and 13.35% over nutrition. The conclusions of this study are that most of the anthropometric profiles of children in Pontianak city are still in the normal category but there is an increasing trend in the number of children who fall into the categories of overweight, obesity, over nutrition, and short posture. This study also finds that as many as 40.49% of children are passively using devices in the form of watching YouTube videos and playing games with a duration not recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Abstract

Many athletes experienced psychological problems and communication with their coaches during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purposes of this study was to determine: athletes’ perceptions of Covid-19, communication athletes to coaches, the psychological skills of athletes, the relationship between athletes’ perceptions of Covid-19, and communication athletes-coaches with the psychological skills of Bengkulu athletes during Covid-19. The method used in this research was quantitative with a correlation approach. The population in this research was all Bengkulu athletes who would participate in National Sports Week (PON) Papua 2021, totaling 83 athletes. Sampling technique used is total sampling so that all populations were used as research samples. Research techniques and instruments used individual perception about Covid-19 questionnaire, the coaches-athletes relationship questionnaire, and the psychological skills inventory for sports questionnaire. Data analysis technique used multiple regression with SPSS at the significance level of 0.05. The result of this study indicates that: (1) athletes’ perceptions of Covid-19 have a good perception with score 70.00 – 84.00, (2) communication athletes to coaches have very good communication with score 41.39 - 46.00, (3) the psychological skills of athletes have a good category with score 129.20 - 159.9, (4) there was a significant relationship between athletes’ perceptions of Covid-19, communication athletes-coaches with psychological skills level of Bengkulu athletes during pandemic Covid-19 with sig. score 0.005 < 0.05.

Abstract

Social interaction is an inseparable part of human life, including an athlete, because literally, humans are social creatures. Social interactions carried out in society can be influenced by other factors such as family and social media. This study aims to determine how many roles out social media both on the social interaction of athletes. This research is quantitative research with the instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study was 70 National athletes from Riau Province. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative in the form of a percentage. The results revealed that the family has a good role with a value of 32.86%, while social media does not have enough roles with a percentage obtained of 40% and for both family and social media have a sufficient role of 34.29%. Social media and family have an adequate role for athletes in social interaction. This study has several limitations including the limited area and scope of research subjects.

Abstract

Investigation that was raised in this study was to improve dribbling skills. One form of training that must be done is coordination training and agility training for the players of the Tunas Muda Medan Football School (SSB TMM). Furthermore, it is expected that discoveries can be made that can improve dribbling skills with other training components for soccer players in soccer schools. This study aims to improve the skills of dribbling SSB TMM players in the city of Medan, North Sumatra Province by using coordination training and agility training. The experimental population was all SSB TMM players with a sample of 22 people. The research method used is descriptive with a correlational process, the analysis system is used to test the hypothesis which is the normality test, linearity test, and correlation test. From the end of the first hypothesis correlation test, a significance value of 0.046 <0.050 is obtained, so there is a significant relationship between coordination on the results of the ability of dribbling ball. The achievement of the second hypothesis test has a significance value of 0.037 <0.05, so there is a significant relationship between agility and the results of the ability to dribble a ball. Based on the multiple regression test, it is known that the significance is 0.037 <0.05, then H0 is not accepted and Ha is accepted. Thus, the two components of coordination and agility simultaneously have a significant relationship with the ability to dribble a ball.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an android-based augmented reality application called AR Tennis. The resulted product is used as a medium for learning tennis courts courses. The AR Tennis application helps students understand the illustrations contained in courts tennis textbooks. The picture in the book which is originally only a silent illustration, with the help of the AR Tennis application, the image will move. The method used is MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle). Testing the application using the blackbox method and the results are all components of the application function properly. From the results of the assessment of learning media experts obtained a value of 97.6 with a very good category. From the expert on tennis material, the score is 89.2 with a good category. And trials for students who take part in tennis court scored 92.14 in the appropriate category for use. Augmented reality technology is still not popular in the field of education. But going forward this technology will be very helpful in any study in the education.
