Abstract

Research agate phenomenon as a symbol of this communication in the background agate background bythe icon as a symbol of social status differentiation in terms of both wealth and culture as well. Problemsof this research is the type of agate Bacan able to become a symbol of communication amongmasyarakat.Penelitian aims to determine the message symbols in agate frequently in associate withwealth and status sosial.penelitian using qualitative research The results of the study show that thesymbol is Non-verbal manifestation of a culture intent contained therein, as a symbol of social statusdifferentiator differentiator as well as cultural diversity. Abstract

The participation of CTB officers not only provide information, but also expected to be able to handle all kinds of issues that could come at any time the customer location and able to provide the best solutions for customers in resolving problems indihome internet bill PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. The types of problems that were varied. The problem is revealed here on the communication strategy officer CTB in collections Internet subscribers indihome PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk as customer facing cultural character, customers feel aggrieved because of the disruption of network and internet technical indihome. Researchers used the theory that interpersonal communication in communicating issues CTB officer charges made directly face to face with customers. The result of this research is the communication strategy used clerk CTB before the charge to the customer can work well and produce fade back thus creating communication between officers CTB with the customer. Abstract

Research starts from the interest of writer of the advertising world displayed through theprintable media especially Apartment Royal Mutiara Residence commercial in Jawa Pos, May 2015thedition. This commercial provides persuasive messages are presented in the textual message form andthe image message form. In this commercial there is a picture of Sidoarjo’s Regent H SaifulIllah,S.H.,M.Hum which is have a multi-interpretation in society as if this commercial have twoobjectives that mutually contrary, first, this commercial is intended to introduce the latest products ofApartment Royal Mutiara Residence, the second, this commercial also has a hidden meaning inconstructing image of Sidoarjo’s Regent H Saiful Illah, S.H.,M.Hum. This study adopted a qualitativeapproaches.. In this case, writers strove to unload the denotative meaning, connotative meaning andmyths which is found in verbal message and non verbal message that appear in the Apartment RoyalMutiara Residence commercial in Jawa Pos, May 2015th edition. Abstract

The Indian Drama series is one of the television programming that is now thefocus of television viewers. ANTV can be regarded as a pioneer television station theemergence of Indian drama series. SCTV also took part in broadcasting an Indian dramaseries program. Two Indian drama series that have aired simultaneously on twotelevision stations are Gopi in ANTV and Gangaa Season 2 on SCTV. From the existenceof the problem, the researcher wanted to know how big the satisfaction expected, thesatisfaction obtained, and the gap of satisfaction in the drama series of India Gopi inANTV and Gangaa Season 2 in SCTV. This research uses using and gratifications theoryby using data analysis of Palmgreen discrepancy, which is used to know the gap ofsatisfaction. The results show that in general the Indian Gopi drama series in ANTV issuperior to Gangaa Season 2 in SCTV, as evidenced by 13 types of needs, Gopi issuperior with 11 types of needs with the highest percentage of which is included in thehigh category of 91.23%. While Gangaa Season 2 is only able to give satisfaction to therespondents as many as 10 types of needs, with the largest percentage included in themedium category, namely 87.72%.Keywords: Satisfaction Gap, Indian Drama Series.

Abstract

Television became a media that hit the hearts of people and still the media with the most audience.Excess television is audiovisual. This means that television can combine sound and moving imagesthat can attract the attention of the audience. The lack of television lies in the nature of the transistorso that it is only momentary or fleeting. This study aims to analyze the point of view of both journalistsTV One and Kompas TV in framing the news case Salim Kancil. So that can be seen from theperspective of each journalist and media decisions in reporting information coverage. Framinganalysis is done with Pan and Kosicki analysis model with a qualitative approach. The results showedthat Framing Tv one against the event of a mouse deer into an excessive emphasis so that aconventional event with a long duration and Compass Tv still with a reasonable dose in meeting theneeds of the community in obtaining information.Keywords: Analysis, Framing, Pan and Kosicki, Salim Kancil, Media Kompas TV, TV One.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of photography as a medium of visualcommunication to create an image as well as provide and deliver a message. One photographerIndonesia, Rio photographed create photographic works of folklore Indonesian theme with the title"Once upon a time". He tried to revive the appeal of folklore with a different delivery. This studyaimed to describe the meaning of photos contained in an image photographed Rio theme Alkisahwork. This study focused on five object Once among others Nyi Roro Kidul, Jonggrang, Pitung, MalinKundang, Kasarung. The theory used is the theory of Roland Barthes Semiotics which consists of twostages marking the denotation stage as the first stage and second stage stage connotation as inmeaning. The method used research methods used in this research is qualitative and descriptive. Datacollection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Abstract

LINE social media is now widely used by teenagers, the more popular is also thecurrent online media among teenagers. The impact of LINE social media on theseantisocial teenagers also leads to actions that impose physical or psychological damageon others, such as lying, stealing, attacking others, becoming cruel to others, becomingargumentative, and becoming non-discriminating sexually promiscuous.Theories usedare social media theory, antisocial behavior. This research is done by using explanativeresearch method with quantitative method. Sampling technique to be taken for this studyis purposive sampling, the number of samples as many as 60 respondents teenagers whoare domiciled in Gunungsari Surabaya.The result of LINE usage research is media whichhave very strong impact, able to give impact directly to the audience (teenager). Canshake the minds of his audience directly. This term is often used to indicate changes inindividuals caused by exposure to media. With social relationships conducted byindividuals or individuals through social networks as a means of communication tosupport success in achieving goals, then the person will be more often in using socialnetworking media.Keywords: social media applications, antisocial behavior, social media impact

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of communication strategy of PublicRelations that executed by DinasKomunikasidanInformatika of East Java Province in order toimprove positive image according to Two-Way Symetric theory and supporting theory by HaroldLasswell. The writer applies descriptive qualitative method in compiling this thesis. DinasKomunikasidanInforatika of East Java Province. The purpose of this study is to explain anyphenomenon in details by specific data collection. This study describing communication strategy ofPublic Relations that executed by DinasKomunikasidanInformatikaof East Java Provience. The resultof study shows that strategy executed by DinasKominfo to improve their image in front of public areby creating website, creating facebook account, and creating twitter account in order to ease public inmaking any complain and to ease public finding any information. Abstract

Tourism becomes the main source of income that shifts the existence of mining business. Tourism objects in the district wonosalam jombang district is very diverse but dominated by the potential of nature tourism. One of the popular natural attractions in the district wonosalam is djawi village, banyu mili and pine forests are all located in the village carang wulung. But the fact that the number of visitors increase the number of crucial problems experienced by the manager. One effort to be able to increase the number of tourist visits is a marketing communication marketing strategy. This study focuses on descriptive qualitative research. The result of the research shows that the important elements in marketing mix are personla selling, advertising, publication, promotoin sales, and sponsorship. Kampung djawi shows that the five mixes have been applied and are continuously improved from various aspects, in contrast to banyu mili and pine forests whose marketing capabilities have been applied to only publications and personal selling. While the limitations of human and financial resources to be a barrier in the application of sponsorship, advertising, and sales promotion. Based on these data, it is obvious that the number of tourist visits of djawi kampung tend to increase gradually, while banyu mili and pine forests tend to be stable and stagnant. Abstract

Simultaneous elections will be held in Indonesia in 2018, one of which is theGovernor Election (Pilgub) of East Java to replace Pak Karwo and Gus Ipul. Candidateswho will compete in this East Java Pilgub are Gus Ipul (as incumbent), and Khofifah(formerly a social minister). Both candidates are both from the largest mass organization inEast Java, namely Nahdltul Ulama (NU). In relation to this background, the author wouldlike to examine about how Gus Ipul's political capital and strategy of communication in EastJava Pilgub 2018. This study uses case study because want to answer about how (how) in theformulation of research. By using different political communication strategies, of course theresults achieved by both candidates will be different. Gus Ipul used a defensive strategy tomaintain his position as an incumbent. By using his capital-capital (economic, social,cultural and symbolic) conversion, Gus Ipul seeks to mobilize the masses, most of whom areNU citizens. Conversion of existing capital into a political capital, allowing Gus Ipul toachieve victory in this 2018 East Java Pilgub.Keywords: capital, political strategy
