Abstract

Politics of identity often triggers conflicts to emerge on the surface of Indonesian society. In this case, the 212 movement is a formal object that is considered to be included in politics of identity that uses Islam as the spirit of its movement. This article aims to analyze the politics of identity of the 212 movements through a historical frame. This study uses historical methods, as well as sociological approaches and conflict theory as tools in analyzing historical events. With the methods, approaches, and theories used, this research will then not only work in a narrative descriptive but rather in an analytical descriptive, so that this article can produce an authoritative work on social history in the contemporary era. The result of this study is that the 212 movements began when there was blasphemy committed by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) during a speech in the Kepulauan Seribu. In its development, the 212 movements changed their orientation to a politics of identity movement which often caused conflicts during religious and socio-political life. During various conflicts that have arisen, the government together with moderate Islamic organizations such as NU and Muhammadiyah must be role models to maintain the unity of the Indonesian nation. Keywords: 212 Movement; Islamic Ideology; Politics of Identity

The subjects also experienced various dynamics and consequences after converting to Islam. It is known that three subjects received inconvenience treatment from their family and environment in the form of opposition, threat, insult, exile, not being given living expenses until they were kicked out of the house. While one subject gets a positive thing, namely the relationship with her parents is getting more harmonious. The spiritual practice has been carried out with full awareness by the four subjects. Abstract

Many people understand that the implementation of the pillars of Islam is only sufficient at the level of the birth of the Shari'a. In fact, the implementation of the pillars of Islam does not just stop at the level of the Shari'a. However, the implementation of the pillars of Islam in the world of Sufism should reach the top level, namely tarekat, essence, and makrifat. One of the books that discuss the implementation of the pillars of Islam at the level of Shari'a and nature is the Book of Sirrul Asrar by Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani. This qualitative descriptive paper with library studies discusses the implementation of the pillars of Islam in the Shari'a and tarekat levels from the formulation of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailai. The data analysis in this paper uses content analysis by sorting out the data according to the research objectives. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the common shari'a creed is embedded in outward speech, while the tarekat creed is embedded in essential knowledge. Second, the shari'a prayer appears on the outside starting with Takbir and ending with greetings at a particular time while the tarekat prayer is performed in mind all the time. Third, sharia fasting is carried out at certain times while tarekat fasting is carried out all the time. Fourth, shari'a zakat is interpreted externally with alms while tarekat zakat is interpreted inwardly with purification of the heart from all lust. Fifth, the sharia pilgrimage is implemented outwardly along with the conditions and pillars to Mecca, while the tarekat pilgrimage is implemented inwardly into self-fulfillment.Keywords :

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Kyai and Ustadz in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. The study was conducted at four Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan, namely Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan, Pondok Pesantren Hasanka, Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum, and Pondok Pesantren Darul Amin Sampit. This study is a qualitative study with an interpretive paradigm. The study was conducted from April to September 2021. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentary studies. Informants in this study were educators in Pondok Pesantren, namely Kyai, Ustadz, and teachers who teach. The data obtained were then analysed using interactive qualitative analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study found that there are five roles of Kyai and Ustadz in religious moderation education, namely the role of conservator, innovator, the role of transmitter, the role of a transformer, and role of organiser. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that there is a connectivity between academic and managerial dimensions in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. At this level, Kyai and Ustadz not only play a role in providing understanding and knowledge regarding religious moderation but also carry out managerial activities so that religious moderation education can be carried out and be successful. Keywords:

Abstract

This study critically discussed the concept of 'perpetual peace' according to Immanuel Kant. For Kant, peace is absolute, and war must be avoided. Kant's concept of peace departs from his philosophical ideas about humans and ethics. According to the researcher's hypothesis, Kant's concept of peace is problematic and not compatible with the concept of peace in Islam. This study aimed to describe Immanuel Kant's concept of perpetual peace and the concept of peace in Islam. In addition, it also analyzed how Kant's concept of perpetual peace is viewed from the Islamic worldview. This research was library research, and the methods used were descriptive, analytical, and comparative. This research concluded that Kant's concept of peace had several philosophical and practical problems. Philosophically, Kant's concept of peace revolves around the concept of man, ethics, and causality, which tend to deny the element of God in it. In practical terms, Kant's idea that war should not exist is a dream that is difficult to realize. His opinion about the peace triangle also leaves many problems.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a critical exploration and conceptual summary of the broad academic landscape regarding the implementation of religious moderation that has been carried out in Indonesia, especially during the Covid-19 period. This study used the systematic literature review (SLR) method and found 887 articles relevant to the theme of religious moderation between 2020 and 2022. After screening, 28 articles were found, which were then reviewed. Qualitative theme analysis was then carried out using the NVivo 12 Plus software based on the specified articles. This study found that during the period 2020-2022, only 28 empirical studies from 887 published research regarding the implementation of religious moderation during the Covid-19 period in Indonesia. Most research locations were found in Central Java Province, with a literature percentage of 25%. The trend was mainly carried out in 2021, with a ratio of 53.57%, and was dominated by qualitative research, with a percentage of 96.42%. Moreover, this study found two themes: religious moderation activities (n=14) with nine sub-themes and religious moderation education (n=14) with seven sub-themes. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions as an offer in policy-making for implementing religious moderation in Indonesia and shows various sub-themes of religious moderation that can be carried out in future research. Keywords :
