Abstract

Consumers have preferences that must be understood by producers, sellers, and marketers, as these preferences influence consumer likes and dislikes. Consumer preferences for the attributes of papaya (Carica papaya L) aim to determine the most preferred attributes by consumers in the Giwangan traditional market. The research was conducted using survey techniques, interviews, and questionnaires. The research location was deliberately chosen at the Giwangan fruit and vegetable traditional market due to the consideration that it is the main fruit market in the city of Yogyakarta. The researcher took a sample of 32 respondents. The analysis used is the chi-square analysis. The chi-square analysis shows that consumer preferences for papayas at the Giwangan market are for papayas that have a sweet taste, a skin color with a yellow blush, a firm flesh texture, and a medium sized fruit.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategy for developing superior village chicken eggs of Balitbangtan (KUB) in Jogja Agro Park (JAP) Dusun Kemiri, Wijimulyo Village, Nanggulan District, Kulon Progo Regency, DIY. SWOT analysis was used to identify internal and external factors to formulate a strategy for developing KUB chicken eggs. The results showed that KUB chicken cultivation in JAP consisted of activities such as procuring DOC chicks, providing feed and drink, cleaning cages, vaccinations, collecting eggs, marketing eggs, and meat from retired KUB chickens (chickens that have reached the end of their productive period). KUB chicken cultivation in JAP uses a colony cage model with a total population of 14 male chickens and 146 female chickens with the ability to produce 30-40 eggs/day. The eggs produced are sold every Friday at the Farmer's Market for Rp2,300.00/egg using mica packaging containing 10 eggs. Retired chickens will be auctioned at the farmer's market for Rp30,000.00/kg alive. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, a development strategy was obtained in the form of improving facilities and infrastructure, improving cage designs for laying hen farming, routine vaccination, and vitamin administration, increasing maintenance intensity, making alternative animal feed (independent), and expanding the marketing network for Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB) chicken eggs with social media.

This study aims to analyze the influence of age factors, number of training, length of service, number of assisted farmers, length of formal education and area of work on the performance of agricultural extension workers and the relationship between the performance of agricultural extension workers and the productivity of lowland rice fields in Batanghari Regency. The sampling method used a random sampling method with 40 PPL respondents and 101 farmer respondents. Data analysis used several analysis tools, namely Ordinal Regression analysis and Spearman Rank Correlation Analysis. The results showed that the factors that influenced the performance of PPL were the frequency of participating in training, length of service of extension workers, and the number of assisted farmers, while the age of the extension worker, length of education, and area of the assisted location did not significantly affect the performance of PPL, from the analysis of the relationship between the performance of agricultural extension workers and the productivity of lowland rice farming businesses did not have a significant relationship with a very weak relationship value.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of chicken bone meal and organic materials on the absorption of P by corn plants grown in Latosol soil. The study used a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor, the dosage of chicken bone meal consists of 4 levels: without chicken bone meal (T0), chicken bone meal 2% (T1), 4% (T2), 6% (T3) of the weight of organic material. The second factor, the type of organic material consists of 3 levels: without organic material (B0), compost 3% of the weight of the soil (B1) and manure 3% of the weight of the soil (B2). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The results showed that chicken bone meal and organic material fertilizers had a significant effect on increasing the available P of Latosol soil and P absorption by corn plants. The provision of chicken bone meal fertilizer 4% of the weight of organic material and compost 3% of the weight of the soil was the best result for increasing the availability of P in Latosol soil and P absorption in corn.
