Educan: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a journal published by Islamic Education Departement Faculty of Education University of Darussalam Gontor. ISSN : 2597-9043. It publishes only original papers on Islamic education. Educan is a scientific media to develop the quality of academicians in Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially in the University of Darussalam Gontor. The aim of Educan journal is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Islamic education. The scope of this journal is about Islamic Education, Moral Education, Education of Pesantren (Pondok), Education Technology, Learning Methods, Curriculum Design and Development. It was first published in 2017 in press version and published by an online system in 2018.

Abstract

Education strategies supported by quality human resources (HR) are an important component in the fulfillment of Islamic education standards. IMTAQ  ( Faith and and piety), Science and technology are the two main competencies that determine the quality of human resources in the world of education. Therefore, in the fulfillment of educational standards, the education strategy applied must be designed with the two human resource competencies in mind. However, there are times when, the minister faces some problems in designing strategies oriented to the utilization of science and technology. This research is library research. Analysize some references from journals, books, magazines, and other sources of information. Therefore, this paper aims to discuss how the use of technology can be used as one of the strategies in achieving Islamic education standards. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that in order to meet islamic education standards, Islamic Aqidah should be used as the basis of all science and technology concepts and applications. In line with that, Islamic Sharia should be used as a standard for the use of science and technology.

Abstract

AbstrackThis research is motivated by the low learning activities of students who have an impact on the results of low students learning and have not met the standards. According to research from the values that have been achieved, especially in the subjects of Islamic Date, more than 80% of all students have not reached the standard value (KKM) of 4.8 that has been determined by the Central Gontor. The students could not answer questions from teachers, namely from 38 students in this class only 3 people (7.89%) who achieved the standard score while 35 others (92.10%) has not reached the value (KKM). Researchers use The Question Students Have Strategy because this strategy is interesting, eliminates boredom, is more active, so that the classroom atmosphere is more lively, children can train themselves to ask and make questions using Arabic, so it is easy to draw conclusions based on their own passions. Researchers try to use Learning Strategies to support learning in the classroom by using The Question Students Have Strategy in Islamic Date lessons class 2E KMI because researchers want to improve the activeness and learning outcomes of students by using these strategies. So the value that must be achieved by learners is 75% in each cycle.This study uses Class Action Research (PTK) method, in Islamic Date subjects. Class Action Research (PTK) is conducted 2 cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the planning stage teachers prepare RPP, student worksheets, instruments used in the learning evaluation cycle and tools. At the stage of implementation of mambagi teachers in groups, using learning strategies and conducting observations or observations. In the observation stage, researchers observed the situation of teaching and learning activities, students' activeness, and students' ability to perform learning strategies. At the reflection stage, researchers conducted data analysis by categorizing and collecting data collecting and using tests to obtain learning results in Islamic Date lessons santriwati class 2E KMI using Question Students Have Strategy.The results of this study showed that by applying the Question Strategy Students Have can: 1) improve the learning outcomes of students and 2) the activeness of learning santriwati. In the first cycle of activeness of students reached 74.34%, then increased in the second cycle of 77.13%. The learning outcomes of students in the first cycle reached 34.21%, then increased in the second cycle of 92.10%. It can be concluded that the average value in the first cycle is 3.71 and the average value in the second cycle is 5.03.From the study, researchers advised all teachers who master islamic date subject matter to use The Question Students Have Strategy during the learning process. Because this Strategy is appropriate and effective for use in islamic date lesson materials class 2 KMI.

Abstract

The leadership of leader is very important for organization because they will determine the organization through the decisions he makes. Leadership values can be inculcated through the organization, including student organizations. As a pesantren university, the student council of University of Darussalam Gontor plays an important role in student activities during the education process. The purpose of this study is to know the inculcation of leadership values for the management of the student council in University of Darussalam Gontor. The research method used qualitative research with the research subject is the supervisor and administrator of student council of University of Darussalam Gontor. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that there are several methods to inculcate leadership values in the student council organization of University of Darussalam Gontor, including: 1. Guidance and training of briefing and training activities are given to the student council with the aim of the student council management having high dedication and integrity to the organization they live in, 2. Assignments and Habituation applied to the management of the student council of Darussalam Gontor University so that they are accustomed to leading then they are given the responsibility to lead activities, 3. Escort All tasks and activities given to the management must receive guidance and assistance, so that all what has been programmed is controlled, evaluated and directly known, in this case the student council always holds regular meetings with the supervisor.

Abstract

Adolescences is identical with delinquency, one of the causes is a lack of Self-Development. Self-Development is greatly influenced by the environmental conditions in which a person lives. Youth of Masjid Jogokariyan is one of the youth communities in Yogyakarta which is a forum for teenagers to improve self-development.This study aims to determined how the role of the Youth of Masjid Jogokariyan in improved self-development of adolescents. The role these was explained below which each the component of self development. These component of self-development that are: emotional /knowledge, physical, mental, social, education, and also self develop accordance to market demand. Thus the role was explained below followed by the supporting and inhibiting factors each the component.This study employed qualitative a case study approached and was taken at Yogyakarta Masjid Jogokariyan with descriptive method. The data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data were analyzed applied Miles and Huberman model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.Based on the results of the research, the researcher give suggestions to (1) the management of the masjid youth organization to be more and always innovate, improving creativity, and improving skills in the field of information technology (IT), (2) seniors as responsible of masjid youth organization coaches to further increase enthusiasm in guiding organizations to be more involved in the organization, (3) to guardians and families especially the parents of adolescents, member of masjid youth organization to pay more attention to the cultivation and implementation of religious values in adolescents and the quality of the youth friendship environment.

Abstract

Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor is an Educational Institution that has contributed a lot in printing cadres of leaders of the people. This can happen because Pondok has many philosophies of life, one of which is called Panca Jiwa. It is one of the values of Pondok that’s fixed, and solid, which must certainly be applied by the entire family, for their lives to be peaceful, safe, and in line with what has been outlined by it. Covering the spirit of sincerity, the soul of simplicity, the soul of self-reliance, the soul of Ukhuwah Islāmiyah, and the soul of freedom, Panca Jiwa becomes the basis or principle of the running of life in Pondok. Besides, 5 grade students as managers of hostels are senior students who are mandated by Pondok to educate their members, so in their daily lives they are obliged to practice the values contained in Panca Jiwa, but the implementation of Panca Jiwa faces a bit of a problem, that some managers of hostels have not implemented it properly. Therefore, this article aims to examine the philosophies of Panca Jiwa and it’s extent reflection in the activities of managers of hostels of 5 grade students at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor by using philosophical approaches as well as descriptive-analytical methods. Beside some previous studies discuss each philosophy of each Soul, while this research discusses philosophy and its application in the daily life of managers of hostels from 5 grade students of PMDG. Eventually, it was found that some managers of hostels had well applied every soul of Panca Jiwa as well.

Abstract

 Education is one form of human cultural realization that is dynamic and full of development. Therefore, the change or development of education is something that should happen in line with the changing culture of life. Changes in the sense of improving education at all levels need to be continuously made in anticipation of future interests. The realization of learning outcomes will always be related to evaluation activities. Therefore, learning evaluation techniques and procedures are required that can effectively assess the learning process and results. This study uses a quantitative approach of True Experimental type by using posttest only control design type. The subjects in this study were grade 7-2 as an experimental class and grade 7-3 as a control class at SMP Muhammadiyah 33 Tomang, Jakarta. The instrument used in this study is a test for data analysis. In this study to find out the results of data analysis using SPSS 24. From the results of the data analysis the average score of students in the experimental class was 76.83 while the average score in the control class was 73.63. Judging by Mann Whitney's testing of sig results. (2-tailed) of 0.321 which is 0.321 > 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no difference or influence on student learning outcomes in experimental classes and control classes Because during the research was conducted online due to this pandemic period. Based on the results of research that has been conducted to improve student learning outcomes in pai grade 7 subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 33 Tomang Jakarta, researchers are further to further develop and improve the learning strategies used, and teachers should better supervise and pay attention to their students in order to concentrate more in the teaching and learning process so that the learning process is more effective and efficient and can hone cognitive aspects , affective and psychomotor.

Abstract

 The Curriculum is a tool of plans and arrangements regarding the purpose, content and learning materials. The Implementation of a comprehensive curriculum by school for the achievement of more comprehensive educational objectives. With the COVID 19 virus outbreak that occurred, the Minister of Education and Culture issued a letter on the Implementation of Education decision in the Emergency Period of the Spread of COVID 19 by closing learning activities in schools and implementing online learning. Purpose of study 1) to  know the implementation of Al-Azhar curriculum during COVID 19 at SMP Azhari Islamic School Rasuna. 2) to know the inhibitory and supporting factors in the implementation of Al-Azhar curriculum during COVID 19 at AZHARI Islamic School Rasuna Junior High School. The research is descriptive qualitative research. Techniques Data collection using: 1) Passive participation observation techniques by conducting observations on al-Azhar curriculum learning online. 2) Technique interview with al-Azhar curriculum teacher. 3) Documentation Techniques by taking information at SMP Azhari Islamic School Rasuna South Jakarta. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman methods with three stages of research, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the analysis data, the results of the study are 1) The Implementation of Al - Azhar curriculum during COVID 19 by combining Al - Azhar and K13 Curruriculum into one in the process of planning, implementation and evaluation. In accordance with government in 2019 and 2020 learning during COVID 19 By using online media Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Via Videocall Whatssapp. 2) inhibitory factors: unstable network, limitations of teacher personnel and parents in the field of technology, limitations of students' ability in the use of Arabic language that is not maximal with the absence of face-to-face so that learning using Indonesia Language. Supporting factors of distance learning are supported by learning applications, providing material summaries in each subject, giving practice questions and assignments or quizzes. Based on the research that has been described. So I want to give advice that is: For schools and teachers must have innovation, creativity and renewal in the implementation of the Al-Azhar curriculum by improving the field of technology and information.

Abstract

The loss of the essence of an educator's qudwah al-hasanah is one of the causes of personal damage and behavior of a child, even though the Prophet has taught his followers related to the best of role model. Islamic education has an important role in advancing civilization. One of the methods applied in Islamic education is by qudwah al-hasanah because is a basic method of educating and a child learns by sees and imitates. Seeing this, the method of accuracy is considered very important to be reviewed in the al-Qur’an surah al-Ahzab verse 21 which discusses the method of Islamic education with accuracy as taught by the Prophet. The purpose of this research is 1) To find out the tafsir of al-Ahzab verse 21 according to the commentary of Al Munir Dr. Wahbah Az-Az-Zuhaili. 2) To know the method of Islamic education with qudwah al-hasanah contained in surah al-Ahzab verse 21. This type of discussion is literature research or library research where researchers get data from reading books that are relevant to the titles and written documentation obtained from library books. Particularly with regard to the tafsir of the text of the Al-Qur'an Surah al-Ahzab verse 21 through an analytical approach with a descriptive-qualitative method. Then processed according to the ability of the author. The writing of this journal discusses the method of Islamic education with qudwah al-hasanah in surah al-Ahzab verse 21 according to Tafsir Al-Munir. Dr. Wahbah Az-Az-Zuhaili 1) The tafsir of surah al-Ahzab verse 21 according to the Tafsir of Al-Munir explains that the Messenger of Allah is the best role model for mankind and should emulate the Prophet in his words, deeds and in various circumstances. Especially in terms of courage, courage to go forward, struggle and patience, and encouragement to always remember Allah and hope in Allah. 2) The method of education using qudwah al-hasanah taught by the Prophet in Surah al-ahzab 21 includes courage, courage to go forward, patience and struggle. This is the description of the discussion of Islamic education methods with qudwah-al hasanahcontained in the Al-Ahzab verse 21 (Study of Tafsir Al-Munir of Dr. Wahbah Az-Az-Zuhaili). It is hoped that educators and teachers to educate children with the qudwah al-hasanah method, so that they can become the best examples in words, deeds, and under any circumstances. The author acknowledges that this discussion still has many shortcomings, so the author hopes all readers and subsequent discussants to complete the deficiencies in this discussion so that it becomes perfect and provides benefits.

Abstract

In a learning, the standard of the learning process is needed to evaluate the learning process. In this study, the Researchers wants to explain about critical analysis of the standard policy of the learning process in schools. Things that become obstacles in a learning need to be overcome in order to be able to create a standard learning milieu starting from the standard of content, standards of the learning process, curriculum standards, and also standards in evaluating a learning process. This research is a literature reseacrh. Analysize some references from journals, books, magazines, and other sources of information. The result of this research is 1) Islamic religious education Learning standar process in school / Madrasah is the maximum standard of education related to the implementation of learning in an education to achieve graduate competence. 2) Components of  islamic religious education Learning Process Standards include process planning, implementation of the learning process, learning outcomes, and supervision of the learning process. 3) Criticism of Islamic religious education learning process against the number of students one class exceeds the limits set in the standard process, the addition of effective out-of-hours lesson hours, with textbooks (LKS)

Abstract

The teacher a person which will responsible to develop their student by pursuing all his potentials: cognitive potential, affective potential, and psychomotor. Teacher's effort is what teachers do as professional educators in educating, guiding, directing, and evaluating learners by developing all the potentials that exist in the learner. Therefore, all teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan KH. Abd. Wahab Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas (MAUWH), Jombang strives to maintain the religiosity of students at school and at home, as well as continue to develop the talents possessed by students by providing the necessary facilities. This research is qualitative research with educational psychology approach. To obtain the required data, researchers used three methods, namely: 1) interview method, 2) observation method, 3) documentation method, and in analysing the data, researchers used interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman models with data reduction, data study, and draw conclusion. Based on data analysis, researchers concluded: a) teachers effort in maintaining student religiosity at MAUWH can be seen from four aspects, namely: 1) aspects of civility, 2) aspects of habituation, 3) aspects of talent development, and 4) aspects of motivation. These efforts are carried out in class learning situations, daily activities in schools, talent development that is still appropriate in the values of Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum based on religiosity. Then the supporting factor and inhibition of teachers' efforts in maintaining student religiosity at MAUWH are as follows. b) Supporting factors include students' interest in learning activities in a subject, teacher interest in skilled subjects, teacher love for Islamic religious education, well-available learning strategies and media, activeness of students and teachers in madrasahs, and good evaluation methods to improve learning activities and outcomes in MAUWH. And c) the inhibition factor is limitations of existing facilities, especially in matters related to digital IT, differences in understanding or intelligence of learners.
