Educan: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a journal published by Islamic Education Departement Faculty of Education University of Darussalam Gontor. ISSN : 2597-9043. It publishes only original papers on Islamic education. Educan is a scientific media to develop the quality of academicians in Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially in the University of Darussalam Gontor. The aim of Educan journal is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Islamic education. Abstract

Humans have three dimensions that are central to human personality, body, mind (science) and spirit (faith). As a religion of nature, Islam cannot accept bodily strength without the power of reason and faith, and vice versa. But the fact is we find many children with special needs around us. Children with special needs need a spiritual touch, to introduce them to their God and to strengthen the foundation of their faith, one of this is Islamic Religious Education which is carried out in their formal education. This research includes a descriptive qualitative field study, to find out the learning model of Islamic Religious Education for Children with physical disabilities in Muhammadiyah Extraordinary School Dekso Kulonprogo. Data collection uses observation, interview and documentation techniques, followed by data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, verification and data validity testing. The results showed that the Muhammadiyah Extraordinary School Dekso used a 2013 curriculum that was modified according to the characteristics of their students. To reduce the difficulty level of students, the subject and indicators of learning are simplified, the material is delivered in easy language with concrete media. Learning approach for mentally retarded children is directed at individual and remidiative approaches. Assessment is based on verbal evaluation, practice and daily observations of students.

Abstract

Personality is a way of thinking and behaving among individuals in life, in the fields of family, community, nation and home. Thomas Aquina said, personality is related to moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral behavior. These three factors, which help the personality to know the good, the desire to do good and do it, and one of the educational institutions that become the main reference in personality education is the institution. This institution is an educational institution that focuses on personal education and is one of the traditional institutions that focus on the study of Islamic sciences. This study aims to find out how to shape moral knowledge, moral feelings and moral behavior in the daily activities of students of Assalam Islamic Boarding School for Modern Islamic Education (PPMI). This research uses descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data obtained through interviews, monitoring and documentation. The results showed that personality education was applied at the Assalam Islamic Boarding Scholl for Modern Islamic Education through daily activities, where it included the cultivation of moral knowledge, the cultivation of moral sentiment and the cultivation of moral behavior. Instead, the method that supports student education is an integrated education process that includes study, education, discipline, and sports in slavery, and set good examples from school principals and teachers

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in various fields has also been felt in the world of education. This development can be seen from the rise of the use of computers as teaching aids as well as learning media. What is mean by teaching aids here are tools or objects used by teachers to facilitate teaching tasks such as helping in calculating or analyzing data. While the learning media in question is the use of a computer connected to the LCD projector media to facilitate students in understanding the material. This study aims to find out 1) How to use e-learning technology LCD projector media on the subjects of SKI in MTsN 2 Ponorogo. 2) Is there any influence between e-learning media projector LCD technology on history of islamic culture learning achievement in MTsN 2 Ponorogo. This research is an experimental quantitative research. Data collection is done by documenting grades in school. Data collection is done by looking at the results of the midterm exam between two classes namely the experimental class and the control class, then analyzing the results of all student grades and then finally given a conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the application of projector LCD media in history of islamic culture learning is declared effective again student learning achievement as evidenced by the results of the student’s midterm examination which shows that the projector LCD media is very useful as a supporting medium in learning the history of Islamic culture.

Abstract

This classroom action research was motivated by the low scores of students ITTC of Class 4B in Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School of Campus 2 on the Subject Islamic civilization, especially on aspects of student learning achievement which caused by lack of motivation and interest in learning caused by several factors one of which is the lack of innovation of teaching used by the teacher who only use the lecturing method. This research aims to improve student learning achievement and determine the effect of interest and motivation on student learning achievement and to test the effectiveness of Mind-map methods. In the discussion on Nasy’at Hadarah Al-Islamiyyah in cycle 1 and Ushul Hadarah Al-Islamiyyah in cycle 2, using the Mind-map method. This research was conducted from January to February 2019, held in class 4B ITTC in Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School of Campus 2. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with one pre-cycle and two cycles consisting of two meetings in one cycle, each cycle consists of: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques and tools, in this research, used descriptive analysis techniques for data in the form of student work documents, lists of values, and observation sheets. The results showed that with the Mind-map method was a pleasant learning atmosphere. Student learning achievement increased, there was increase cycle 1 to Cycle 2 then, in the first cycle the number of students who received complete grades was 12 students or 40%, Grades not complete in cycle 1 is 26 students or 86.6%, while in cycle 2 there is an increase in complete value that is all students in class 4B increased to reach 100%. . As for the aspects of the influence of motivation and ask for student learning achievement, there was an increase in motivation and interest, in the pre-cycle, the average of interest score 58.03 and motivation 54.03, in cycle 1 the average of interest scores 58.56 and motivation 53.8 despite a decrease in motivation scores from pre-cycle to cycle 1, in the second cycle, there was an increase in scores, at the last cycle the average of interest 58.96 and motivation 54.9, it was concluded that the Mind-map method can improve student learning achievement. Mind-map method was influential in increasing student interest and motivation in learning.

Abstract

In the 4.0 era the information flow spread so quickly and broadly, on the other side there were many hoaxes circulating in various media, for this reason a critical thinking was needed to filter the information. This study aims to describe the process of implementation of syawir methode, impact, obstacles and as well as to describe the solution of the obstacles in the implementation of syawir methode in forming critical thinking patterns. This research approach is a qualitative study with case study research. The object of this research is santri from Islamic boarding school Fatul ‘Ulum Kwagean Kepung in East Java. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis, with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results of this research show that: 1) there are two types of syawir, small syawir and large syawir, where the material discussed is subject matter in the Islamic boarding school. 2) there are three impacts namely cognitive impact (understanding and broadening insight) affective (fostering mental self-confidence, tolerance, and critical attitude, as well as respecting the opinions of others), psychomotor impacts (able to describe explanations in a flexible and clear manner and the answer can be justified). 3) There are two obstacles in the implementation of this method, internal factors (lack of self-confidence, different levels of understanding, and lack of concentration) and external factors (lack of time and reference books). 4) Some efforts to be a solution to the obstacles that are, increasing cooperation with the KBM team (Kajian Batsul Masail) to provide guidance and direction on the path of syawir, provide punnish as motivation, add books references, increase duration of time, and directly appoint students who are less active to issue their opinions.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the Tazkiyah An-Nafs concept in Islamic education, 2) Knowing the Tazkiyah An-Nafs concept in "Sufi Comic Book 3", and 3) Analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the Tazkiyah An-Nafs concept in " Sufi Comic Book 3 ". This type of research is library research, so in collecting data the researcher uses primary data, namely the book "Book of Sufi Comics 3" by Bayu Priambodo. Whereas secondary data was obtained from journals and other literature relating to the discussion of this title. The data obtained is by using the documentary method. Whereas in the analysis the researcher used the content analysis method, namely by looking at the content of the communication content qualitatively, on how the researcher interpreted the contents of communication, read symbols, and interpreted the contents of symbolic interactions that occur in communication. So from this simple study, the researcher concludes that: 1) The concept of Tazkiyah An-Nafs in Islamic education includes four realms, namely purifying the body, purifying morals, purifying the heart, and purifying the deepest soul so as not to be bound by worldly lust. 2) In "Sufi Comic Book 3" consists of means of realizing Tazkiyah An-Nafs and its realization which includes sincerity, tawakal, gratitude, zuhud, honest, patient, khauf and raja', amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, and prayer. 3) Analysis of the advantages in writing, Sufi Comic Book 3 contains clarity and conciseness that does not confuse the reader, and the drawback is that this comic publication has not yet entered the digital market and is still read in printed book form. This is certainly slightly contrary to the tendency of millennial generation as a marketing target that prefers electronic books to printed books.

Abstract

This article aims to form "Synergy Islamic Education teacher strategy in improving the quality of education and moral character of students in the Millennial era". Diera Millenial, eras eroded by the current of globalization. As a result education is displaced by negative values that come from western culture. Moreover, mental decline in the nature, character and character that is less in accordance with social behavior. therefore, Islamic Religious Education is a good step to improve student character. The role of the PAI teacher in handling student cases in the Millennial era is a scope which is in accordance with the PAI teacher method. Both in teaching methods and education quality standards. In this case Total Quality Management (TQM) is a good step in shaping management within the school, family and community environment. Therefore character education in the millennial era is very much needed in facing the challenges of globalization. The result is in improving the quality of education and character of students in the Millennial Era. Abstract

Education is a conscious activity that is intentional and planned to achieve a goal, then to achieve these objectives it is necessary to evaluate. The success of the evaluation activity can be seen from the making of questions, the implementation of the test and how the teacher can process the results of the test. The study’s aims to determine the quality of the items of the Midterm Exam for Islamic Religious Education 7th grade at Junior High School 1 Jetis Ponorogo 2019/2020 Academic Year in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level, and different power. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The object of this study is the Midterm Exam Subjects for Islamic Religious Education 7th grade at Junior High School 1 Jetis Ponorogo Academic Year 2019/2020 consisting of 20 multiple choice exam questions and 5 test items for essay/essay. The data collection technique this time uses the documentation method in the form of midterm examination scores. The results showed that: (1) the validity test, for multiple choice questions totaling 20 items in total was declared valid, as well as for the problem description / essay which totaled 5 items in total were declared valid. (2) the reliability test, in the form of multiple choice questions have a low reliability index of 0.654, as well as for the form of description / essay questions have a low reliability index of 0.529. (3) difficult level test, the form of multiple choice questions categorized as hard is 1 item (5%), 13 items (65%), easy 6 items (30%) and for the form of questions / essay questions are not available, while 3 items are (60%), easily 2 items (40%). (4) different power test problems, the form of multiple choice questions categorized as bad 6 items (30%), enough 13 items (65%), good 1 item (5%), very good none and for the form of question items / essays categorized as bad 1 item (20%), enough 2 items (40%), good 2 items (20%) absolutely nothing. (5) the quality of items in multiple choice questions including good quality is 14 items (70%), the quality is quite good 2 items (10%), and the quality is not good 4 items (20%) and for the description / essay questions included good quality is 3 items (60%), good quality is 1 item (20%), and quality is not good 1 item (20%). Based on the findings, then to improve the quality of the midterm examination even in the Islamic Religious Education subjects of 7th grade at Junior High School 1 Jetis Ponorogo, teachers should pay more attention to the item indicators both in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level and different power of items to be tested.

Abstract

The Islamic Teacher Training College at the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School is famous with Five Spirits, Five Termes, and its Mottoes. One of its mottoes is Noble Character. Noble Character is the most important foundation which is instilled by the cottage to all its students at all levels and all education and teaching must contain character. Exemplary teacher is a figure that must be followed by all students and the teacher has become an example not just giving an example to students. So if the teacher is good, the students are good. And able to apply it in their daily lives. However, there are some 4th grade students of KMI who have not been able and have noble morals both for God, for humans and for themselves. As a result, many of them violated discipline. In fact, the higher the class, the lower the character. The purpose of this research was to determine: 1) The exemplary teachers of KMI at Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School. 2) Character traits of students of class 4 KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School. 3) Knowing whether or not there is an influence of the teacher's example on the morals of students in class 4 KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School on period 1440-1441.The type of research that the researcher took is the quantitative and quantitative field research (Quantitatif). The population of class 4 KMI students is 430 with a sample taking of 23% totaling 99 students by random method. Data collection techniques used were: (1) Questionnaire, to determine the exemplary teachers of KMI and the Characters of students of class 4 KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School. (2) Documentation, to obtain data about the general picture of the cottage. The data analysis uses the product moment correlation technique with a significance level of 5%.The results of this research are: 1) The exemplary teachers of KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School in the 1440-1441 H school year reached an average value of 122.68 with a very high degree. 2) Moral Character of students in class 4 KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School in the academic year 1440-1441 H reached an average value of 105.26 with a high degree. 3) There is a strong influence with a value of 0,379 0r 37,9 % and the Significance 0,000<0,05 between the exemplary teachers of KMI and the morals of students of the class 4 KMI Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School on period 1440-1441.

Abstract

At present in the life of the nation and state increasingly experiencing mental crises, morals, and behavior such as brawl problems, student fights that have been entrenched, corruption that has become a tradition, using drugs or liquor. This study aims to find out 1). the formation of student character values through extracurricular activities, 2). Factors that support and inhibit the formation of student character values through extracurricular activities in pondok al-Islam and 3. character values formed through extracurricular activities. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Documentation is used to schedule extracurricular activities, the number of students participating in extracurricular activities and the name of the supervising teacher. While the technique of analyzing researchers data uses miles and huberman model analysis, namely data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation. the results of research at Pondok Al-Islam joresan showed that the formation of student character values through extracurricular activities at Pondok Al-Islam had a strategy, the strategies used were habituation and exemplaryness. 1). Habituation Strategy in the form of the first policy of the lodge in designing mandatory and optional extracurricular activities. Secondly, there are regulations to create discipline in carrying out extracurricular activities. 2). The first exemplary strategy is the example of the supervising teacher. The two officials are opmi. while supporting factors for the formation of student character values through extracurricular activities in Pondok Al-Islam, namely: 1). school policies in extracurricular implementation, 2). guidebook for student activities, 3). availability of competent supervisors. 4). family support or student guardian. The inhibiting factors are 1). the facilities and infrastructure of extracurricular activities are not yet complete. 2). lack of extracurricular tutor teacher. 3). Character values that are formed through extracurricular dipondok al-Islam, namely: Religious characters, Honest, Tolerance, Discipline, Hard Work, Creative, Independent, Curiosity, Friendly/Communicative, Peaceful Love, Social Concern and Social Responsibility.
