Abstract

ABSTRACT  ANGGRAINI N. TOAR Standardization of Specific Parameters of Dayak Onion Tubers Extract (Eleutherin americana Merr.) Under the guidance of HERNY E. I. SIMBALA as chairman and GERALD RUNDENGAN as member.            Dayak onion bulbs (Eleutherine americana Merr.) belonging to the Iridaceae family, have been used by the Dayak community for generations as medicinal plants for various types of diseases such as breast and colon cancer, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia and stroke. This study aims to determine the results of the standardization of specific parameter tests. The results of this study indicate that the extract produced is a thick extract, brownish red in color, has a bitter taste, and has a distinctive smell. The content of compounds dissolved in water is 26.388%, while the levels of compounds dissolved in ethanol are 4.522%. Contains secondary metabolites in the form of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, quinones, steroids and triterpenoids. Abstract

Medical devices are instruments, apparatus, machines, and/or implants that do not contain drugs that are used to prevent, diagnose, cure and alleviate disease, treat sick people, restore health to humans, and/or form structures and improve body functions whose distribution flow has been regulated in the Good Medical Devices Distribution Method. One aspect that needs attention in this Good Medical Devices Distribution Method is the medical device storage system. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of the medical device storage system at one of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers in the city of Bandung with the existing regulations. The results of this study indicate that the medical device storage system at one of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers in the city of Bandung is very compatible with the Good Medical Devices Distribution Method, even so there are several evaluations of overloaded medical device storage which are stored in the corridors of the medical device storage warehouse. Abstract

Diabetes Melitus adalah kumpulan dari penyakit metabolik yang memiliki ciri kondisi hiperglikemia. Salah satu monitoring gula darah bagi pasien diabetes adalah Gula Darah Puasa (GDP) dan HbA1C. Namun, monitoring gula darah puasa lebih baik untuk monitoring diabetes dibanding HbA1C. Oleh karena itu, disusunlah literatur review ini untuk memberikan informasi gula darah puasa pada penderita Diabetes Melitus (DM). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah Gula darah puasa sebagai salah satu skrining kadar glukosa plasma pada pasien diabetes melitus. Gula darah puasa dapat dikontrol dengan manajemen perawatan diri yang lebih disiplin pada penderita diabetes melitus. Kontrol kadar gula darah dilakukan dengan melakukan diet, aktivitas fisik, kepatuhan minum obat, dan pengetahuan. Beberapa metode monitoring GDP seperti Metode GOD-POD (Semi-automatic analyzer), Prinsip Glukometer (Truworth G30®), Metode Heksokinase, Metode enzimatik point-of care testing (POCT), dan Metode Folin and Wu.

Abstract

Terdapat beberapa aktifitas biologis dalam daun jarak pagar antara lain sebagai antidiabetes dan antihipertensi. Flavonoid adalah senyawa metabolit sekunder yang bertanggung jawab terhadap aktifitas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung kandungan total flavonoid ekstrak daun jarak pagar, serta mengidentifikasi kandungan alkaloid, terpenoid, saponin, flavonoid, dan tanin yang terdapat pada ekstrak daun jarak pagar. Uji skrining fitokimia pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penambahan reagen dan dilakukan pengamatan terhadap perubahan warna yang terjadi. Penetapan kadar dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri UVVis menggunakan reagen AlCl3, dengan baku pembanding yaitu quersetin. Identifikasi senyawa ekstrak daun jarak pagar pada penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil positif saponin, terpenoid, flavonoid, tanin, dan alkaloid. Konsentrasi flavonoid total ekstrak didapatkan sebesar 1,649706 mgQE/g, dengan %KV 0,021909%. Daun jarak pagar dapat menjadi alternatif sumber flavanoid, sebagai bahan obat alami.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara kaya akan sumber daya alam nabati yang banyak digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan. Salah satunya tanaman insulin (Smallanthus soncifolius). Tanaman insulin memiliki kandungan senyawa kimia yang berkhasiat bagi kesehatan tubuh (Amanatie et al., 2015). Antara lain flavonoid dan fenol, yang bertanggungjawab terhadap aktivitas antibakteri pada bakteri Staphylocpcus aureus dengan diameter zona hambat sebesar 2,528 mm pada konsentrasi 15% (Ramonah et al., 2020). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kadar total flavonoid dan fenolik dari fraksi air, etil asetat dan n-heksan pada daun insulin. Metode penetapan kadar flavonoid dan fenolik total menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 350-500nm untuk senyawa flavonoid dan 760nm untuk senyawa fenolik serta operating time pada 0 sampai 60 menit. Baku pembanding yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu asam galat sebagai baku penetapan kadar fenolik dan kuersetin sebagai baku penetapan kadar flavonoid total. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar fenolik pada fraksi n-heksan sebesar 0,45975 mgGAE/100ml, etil asetat sebesar 0,716428 mgGAE/100ml dan fraksi air sebesar 0,37866 mgGAE/100ml dengan. Kadar flavonoid total dari fraksi etil asetat, sebesar 4,20964 % mgQE/100ml, fraksi n-Heksan yaitu 4,02734% mgQE/100ml dan fraksi air yaitu 3,66276 mgQE/100ml. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan kadar flavonoid total dan fenolik tertinggi terdapat pada fraksi etil asetat dibandingkan dengan fraksi lainnya.

Abstract

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a processed product from fresh coconut meat that is processed at room temprature or without heating. VCO Oil can be used in various methods, namely heating method, acidification method, and fishing method. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of VCO made by salting methods with variations in the amount of salt and the time of salting. In research, VCO oil is made by using variations in the salting time, namely 24, 36 and 48 hours and variations n the 1, 2 and 3 grams. The VCO oil obtained will then be subjected to organoleptic tests, free fatty acids, water content and pH tests. The results showed that the variation in the amount of salt and the time of drying had no effect on the organoleptic properties of the VCO oil, where the VCO had a yellowish color, a distinctive smell of coconut oil, and chemical properties tests including pH, water concet and ALB, variations in the amount of salt and the time of salting greatly affect the quality value of VCO oil.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi hambatan penerapan kegiatan pelayanan Home Pharmacy Care di Apotek-apotek yang ada di Kota Manado. Home Pharmacy Care merupakan pelayanan kefarmasian yang dilakukan oleh Apoteker dengan cara mengunjungi rumah pasien yang sedang menerima pengobatan khususnya bagi pasien yang lanjut usia ataupun pasien yang menggunakan obat dalam jangka waktu yang lama seperti penggunaan obat-obat kardiovaskuler, diabetes, TB, asma dan obat-obat untuk penyakit kronis lainnya dengan tujuan untuk memantau proses terapi yang diberikan dan meningkatkan keberhasilan terapi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan wawancara mendalam dengan analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelayanan Home Pharmacy Care belum berjalan di Apotek-apotek yang ada di Kota Manado karena beberapa hambatan baik internal maupun eksternal mulai dari jumlah sumber daya yang kurang, hingga mekanisme pelaksanaannya.

Abstract

Variations in the use of drug therapy (single insulin therapy or insulin combination with OHO) will result in differences in the cost and outcome of the therapy, so a cost-effectiveness analysis of the use of glimepiride and metformin is needed to determine the most cost-effective use of antidiabetic therapy. This study aims to determine which treatment option is more cost-effective between metformin and glimepiride in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients hospitalized at the hospital. Robert Wolter Mongisidi. This research is observational, non-experimental study with descriptive design, where the data taken are retrospective data. The sample in this study were 22 patients consisting of 15 patients taking metformin and 7 patients taking glimepiride. Based on the results of the calculation of the ACER on the use of glimepiride drug therapy with the results of Rp. 73,718 and the use of metformin drug therapy is Rp. 49,156. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the most cost-effective is metformin with an ACER of Rp. 49,156.

Abstract

Kombucha from honey pineapple can be used as an active ingredient in formulations and preparations for shower gel as a pharmaceutical biotechnology product which has pharmacological activity in vitro in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Psedomonas aeruginosa, and Escherichia coli bacteria. This study aims to make formulations and preparations for shower gel with active ingredients from kombucha fermented pineapple madu subang solution which includes concentrations of 15%, 25% and 35%. This research method is laboratory experimental in nature where the first step is to make a shower gel base without the active ingredient as a negative control. The second step is to make a gel soap base with the active ingredient, kombucha fermented pineapple honey subang at concentrations of 15%, 25% and 35%. Providing widely available commercial body wash as a positive control. Disc diffusion is a popular method for testing the activity of an antibacterial. One way ANOVA and post hoc follow-up test are the parts used in the analysis of each shower gel formulation along with the two positive controls for the overall test bacteria. The results of this study proved that based on a P value <0.05 through a one way ANOVA test and continued through post hoc analysis, namely the formulation and preparation of kombucha shower gel, pineapple madu subang at a concentration of 35%, significantly different from 20% and 30% to the growth of the four test bacteria and 35% concentration of kombucha bath soap pineapple honey subang was the best treatment compared to the two controls and other treatments in inhibiting the growth of the four test bacteria.

Abstract

Lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopogon citratus) has potential as a medicine because it contains chemical compounds citronellal, citronellol, geraniol which work as analgesics and aromatherapy. One of the pharmaceutical preparations that can be used for analgesic and aromatherapy is a stick balm preparation because it can treat mild scale pain and stress. The aim of this study was to analyze the chemical compounds in citronella essential oil using the GCMS tool, to formulate it as a stick balm which has a function as an analgesic and aromatherapy as well as to evaluate the preparation. The method in this study is true experimental laboratory. Lemongrass essential oil is formulated into 4 different preparations. The results of testing citronella essential oil using GCMS did not meet the expectations of the researchers because the results did not read the compound being sought. The results of the data read the chemical compound groups that are thought to have the same function as citronellal, citronellol, geraniol. Aldehydes and alcohols. Lemongrass essential oil can be formulated into 4 balm sticks with different concentrations. Evaluation test of stick balm organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, adhesion test, spreadability test, analgesic test, aromatherapy test and irritation test. The results of all preparation evaluation tests have met Indonesian national standards.
