Abstract

Underpricing is a phenomenon that still occurs in the Indonesian capital market, where the offering price of shares in the primary market is lower than the opening price or closing price on the first day on the secondary market. This study aims to examine the effect of Return On Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), company size, underwriter reputation, age, and interest rates on the underpricing of shares in companies’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2009 to 2017. The population in this study are companies that conduct IPOs on the BEI period 2009 to 2017. The sample selection in this study uses a purposive sampling method, based on certain criteria. The sample in this study were 183 underpricing companies from 205 companies conducting IPO in the period 2009 to 2017. The data used in this study used secondary data. The multiple regression analysis was implemented in this study. The results showed that DER, company size, and underwriter reputation did not significantly influence underpricing. While ROA, age and interest rates have a significant negative effect on underpricing. In this study, investors consider ROA, age, interest rates compared to DER, company size, and the reputation of the underwriter to invest in companies that make an IPO.Keywords: Underpricing, Initial Public Offering, and Indonesian Stock Exchange.

Abstract

This study identifies and analyzes strategic risks experienced by the Badan Pengelola Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan. This health insurance program has a deficit due to the number of claims exceeding income and there is no detection system for the number of claims that are not appropriate. This research is explanatory by using the IFE-EFE Matrix as a basis for identifying and mitigating the strategic risk of BPJS Kesehatan. The Analysis results shows the need for more accurate and transparent calculations, intense socialization, pricing of tariff should be adjusted to the ability of the people, as well as a fraud detection system by BPJS Kesehatan.Keywords: Strategic Risk; IFE and EFE Matrix; BPJS Kesehatan, UCS Thailand

Abstract

The population in this study were all marketing employees of PT. Borobudur Oto Mobil which amounted to 36 employees and the sampling technique used in this study  was the census  method  and  the analysis  tool  used  in  this  study  was multiple linear regression. The regression test results show that the variables of work facilities, leadership, competence and division of labor have a positive effect on employee performance and the results of hypothesis testing indicate that the variables of work facilities, leadership, competence and division of labor have a significant effect on employee performance. The results of the determination test produce the adjusted R square value in the regression model obtained at 0.610 which means that 61 percent of employee performance variables can be explained by variables of work facilities, leadership, competence and division of labor and the results of the accuracy test table obtained 0,000 smaller than 0, 05 which means that employee performance variables can be jointly explained by leadership variables, work facilities, competencies and division of labor.

Abstract

Employees are the main assets of the company that requires the company to be able to create employee satisfaction so as to increase productivity. One strategy to increase power is through compensation. The purpose of this study was to determine the compensation factors and Gojek's strategy in increasing job satisfaction of Gojek drivers. This type of research uses qualitative research. The data source used is primary data. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation, research subjects and Man-six Go-jek drivers in Denpasar. The results showed the application of compensation with a trip and bonus system, a trip system with a 20% discount for companies, bonus points, daily bonuses. With the current compensation system, drivers are satisfied even without a fixed salary. Gojek's strategy in increasing job satisfaction of gojek drivers is to innovate to improve the system and management by replacing the old system with a rating system.

Abstract

The capital market is one indicator of economic progress. Events affect the formation of stock price fluctuations. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the Market Reaction to the announcement of victory, based on data on stock price movements 14 days before and after the event. This type of research is in the form of quantitative research using secondary data, returns and volume of share prices of SOE companies going public, then tested different paired samples test. The results showed that there were significant differences in Abnormal Return. That is, the market reacts to the Announcement of Victory, because stock price movements are still influenced by an information and events. Meanwhile, TVA Abnormal Indicator shows a unique result, there is no partial difference in abnormal trading activity but there is a significant difference in the combined ATVA test. Investors in SOE shares trust the value of SOE shares so that they are not easily affected by short-term information. However, in SOE stock transactions (combined TVA Abnormal Test), a fraction of the activities of panicked SOE Investor investors, as well as traders' activities, can be seen, so there are significant differences in the average Investor trading activityKeywords: Event Study, Abnormal Return, and Abnormal TVA

Abstract

Abstract: In 2015 ASEAN leaders agreed to form an integrated market called ASEANEconomic Community (AEC) that enables countries in Southeast Asia to trade goodsand services more easily, attracting strong demand from investors and heightened thecompetition in the industry. The heightened of competition should encourage banks toreduce operating costs and, hence, eliminate inefficiencies in the banking industry. Theobjective of this study is to examine the relative efficiency scores of Islamic banksacross six countries in ASEAN from 2011 to 2018. The study implement DataEnvelopment Analysis under the intermediation and production approach. Despite therapid growth of the Islamic banking, examination of Islamic banks at a cross-countrylevel is still at its infancy, especially in ASEAN. Therefore, this research aims to fill thegap in the literature by providing the empirical evidence on the efficiency of Islamicbanks in ASEAN during 2011-2018. The analysis is divided into two frontiers, namelysingle-multiyear frontier to examine the efficiency trends of all ASEAN countries ineight years and cross-sectional frontier to compare the efficiency of countries inASEAN per year. The single multi-year frontier shows that the Philippines, Malaysia,Thailand and Singapore presents positive trend efficiency, while Indonesia fell, andBrunei fluctuated. Cross-sectional frontier shows that Brunei is the country that is mostfrequent in achieving optimum efficiency. Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to know the meaning of leadership grows (2) to know the character that is in the growing leadership (3) To know the theory used in the growing leadership. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The technique of determining the informant using purposive sampling (subject to purpose). The meaning of leadership grows refers to the tree philosophy. The tree (1) Cultivates leadership, (2) Strengthening the Leadership Tree, (3) arranging a network of leadership trees, (4) strong trees face storms, and (5) spray the new leadership shoots. The character in the growing leadership was to cultivate leadership seeds, which included understanding humanity and leadership. The theory used in the growing leadership is the theory of behaviour. The suggestion in this study was (1) the need for stronger theoretical support in the growth of leadership. (2) The institution or organization is suitable/appropriate to use this theory in the present time, because it is in accordance with the condition of society. Above, leadership grew based on the experience of a leader.

Abstract

A college as a service company in carrying out business activities or educational activities, generally what must be considered is the orientation towards consumers, which concerns what companies must satisfy their consumers. In service companies, especially higher education institutions that are consumers are students, with more attention to aspects of customer orientation, of course, the goals to be achieved by the company will be realized. Problems that occur at the University of “X” make students feel dissatisfied and this causes complaints or complaints, including: inadequate parking, campus websites that are often slow, completeness of damaged facilities and infrastructure, administrative services that tend to be long.The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of service quality and university reputation on student satisfaction, with trust as a mediating variable. The population in this study were students from University “X” enrolled in the odd semester 2019/2020 Study Plan Card (KRS) of 22,753 students. The number of samples in this study were 99.56 students rounded up to 100 students (based on the Slovin formula). The analysis was carried out with the help of the SPSS program. The variable relationship model will be analyzed by path analysis. The result of research show service quality and university reputation have a direct effect on student trust at Universityof “X”. Service qualityand university reputation have a direct effect on student satisfaction at University of “X”. Trust has a direct influence on student satisfaction at the University of “X”. Keywords:  Trust, Service Quality, Reputation, Satisfaction

Abstract

Investment is one of the factors that drive the economic growth of a region, which is beneficial to improve the economy, create equity, reduce poverty and increase regional and individual prosperity. The importance of this investment needs to be continued to be socialized especially to the younger generation and millennial generation so that in the future these young people can enjoy prosperity and help the regional and national economy. The problems faced include the lack of young people who invest and participate to invest, especially in the capital market. In addition, with the development of digital technology and industry 4.0 creating fintech technology to invest, but there are still less young generation to utilize this fintech technology to invest in the capital market. This study aims to examine the factors that influence the interests of young investors to invest in the capital market by utilizing fintech technology. Samples were taken from the younger generation in the city of Manado with a total sample of 100 respondents spread in the city of Manado. Data analysis using quantitative analysis by testing the hypothesis of the respondents' perceptions. The research results have implications for increasing the number of young people who are interested in investing in the capital market through fintech technology in North Sulawesi.Keywords:  Intention, Young Investors, Investatio, Capital Market, Financial Technology
