Abstract

Objective : to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge, the attitude of the mother and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding for bayiMethods :  The study used a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a sample size of 40 respondents. The research instrument used to assess the knowledge, attitudes and actions of exclusive breastfeeding was a questionnaire. Data processing and analysis using statistical data processing computer programs.Results : Spearman Rank Test statistic results show there is relations between  maternal knowledge, attitude with exclusive breastfeeding practices for baby(p = 0.000; p= 0.001)Conclusion : knowledge and mother's attitude are important to supported the practice of exclusive breastfeeding for baby

Abstract

 Abstract Diabetes Mellitus Disease (DM) has become a public health problem in various countries including Indonesia. DM is a complex chronic disease characterized by increased glucose levels in the blood caused by impaired glucose metabolism resulting in abnormalities of insulin secretion or lack of insulin production even both. The triggering factor of type II DM disease is diet. Unhealthy diets such as following a western diet that is consuming fast food, fatty and high-calorie, by consuming foods or drinks containing sugar can also increase the risk of dm type II events. In addition to dietary patterns, physical activity is another factor that influences the incidence of type II DM. Sedentari behavior that has now become a modern public lifestyle increases the risk of dm type II. This study aims to identify the diet and physical activity of dm type II patients in Salatiga City Hospital. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with cross-sectional approach conducted in The Polyclinic of Salatiga City Hospital from September - November 2019 with the number of respondents as many as 100 people taken with purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments used were SQ – FFQ questionnaires for diet and GPAQ questionnaires for physical activity patterns. Conclusion: The dietary patterns of respondents with Type II DM in Salatiga City Hospital has not all consumed foods with a balanced nutrition pattern and physical activity in respondents doing more moderate physical activity. Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, dietary patterns, physical activity pattern.

Abstract

Objective  : Pregnancy is one of the crowning moments in the life of women (Yuniastari et al., 2014). according to the Federasi Obstetri Ginekologi Internasional, Pregnancy defined as fertilization or union of spermatozoa and ovum and followed by nidasi or implantation.  If counted and fertilization to this baby, normal gestation time would be held for 40 week or 10 month or 9 moon rotate international calendar. at this time corona virus desease The case go global begins with pneumonia or chafe paru-paru mysterious 2019 on december.  When that happens the pandemic covid 19 that directly impact to all indonesian people in general.  In the world health of pregnant women also did not escape the effects of the pandemic covid 19 this.The number of pregnant women third trimester there dipustu arawa it makes it very anxious in dealing with the delivery processMetodhe : Methods used is Desain Observasional Deskriptif. In this study , researchers will assess the degree or rate of anxiety for pregnant women third trimesterResults: This study has been implemented in march - april 2021 at pustu arawa That is in the work area puskesmas lawawoi kabupaten sidrap with the total sample 48 respondents . The sample technique used is simple random sampling  Pregnant women and patients who came third trimester pustu arawa in the work area puskesmas lawawoi kabupaten sidrap  Selected at random. Conclusion: The research found that there was a correlation between the pandemic covid 19 with anxiety pregnant women got the third trimester p = 0.002 < 0,05

Abstract

Joint pain is characterized by swelling in the joints, the presence of redness, feeling hot, pain will cause interference with the motion system. In this condition the elderly are often disturbed, if more joints are attacked. Ergonomic gymnastics is an effort to reduce pain with nonpharmacological therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ergonomic gymnastics on the scale of joint pain in elderly women in the area of in the wonoasih sub district of the city probolinggo. The design of this study used a Quasy-experimental design pre test and post test design. In this study the total population was all elderly in the in the wonoasih sub district of the city probolinggo as many as 90 people, and the number of samples used was 70 respondents. The technique used in sampling is simple purposive sampling. The instrument of data collection is using a observation sheet. The method of data analysis in this study is the Wilcoxon test (p 0.05). The results of the study prove that joint pain before ergonomic exercise is mostly categorized as uncontrolled severe pain scale as many as 35 people. Joint pain after ergonomic exercise was mostly classified as non-pain as many as 35 people. The Wilcoxon test results obtained a significant value of 0,000 (p value ≤ 0,05) which means that there is the effect of ergonomic exercise on the scale of joint pain in elderly women in the wonoasih sub district of the city probolinggo. Suggestions in this study are expected to the elderly to reduce the frequency of pharmacological treatment and more non-pharmacological treatments such as ergonomic exercise because prolonged pharmacological treatment can bring side effects such as dependence on drugs taken.

Abstract

 Abstrak Background: Elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over and has experienced physical deterioration. Changes experienced in the aging process can have a negative impact or cause problems for the elderly such as feeling helpless and useless, feeling hopeless about the life they are living, feeling inferior so that the elderly isolate themselves and avoid their environment.. The aging process can have an impact on the quality of life. The quality of a person's life can be influenced by environmental aspects, physical aspects, mental aspects and social aspects. If all aspects can be fulfilled by the elderly, the quality of life they get is also good. Family support has a good function in improving the quality of life of the elderly, because family plays an important role in the social support closest to the family. Purpose: This study aims to describe family support for improving the quality of life of the elderly through the traditional "bahaum bapakat" approach. Methods: the study used a qualitative method by conducting semi-structured interviews, participants who contributed as many as 10 elderly people and were taken by purposive sampling, data was collected through audio recorders and interview guides which were analyzed with the stages of data collection, coding, selecting useful data for determination. themes, then data triangulation was carried out. Results: Environment as a support system for the quality of life of the elderly, Physical health care for the elderly in Sungai Buluh Village, Emotion, Spirituality, and Self-description of the elderly in Sungai Buluh Village, Social interaction, Family Support System, Social role: bahaum elderly in Sungai Buluh Village. Conclusion: Family support through the approach bahaum bapakat  has an influence on improving the quality of life of the elderly in Sungai Buluh Village.Keywords: the elderly, the quality of life, family support, bahaum bapakat

Abstract

The condition of the COVID-19 pandemic is a threatening condition for cancer sufferers. Management of cancer patients can be done by surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy to treat cancer. For cancer patients infected with COVID-19, adequate protective equipment is needed. Symptoms of COVID-19 that cause people to suffer from cancer or are being treated for cancer that can be more severe, such as high fever, chest pain, bluish lips and nails, shortness of breath, to loss of consciousness or coma. The process during treatment for cancer can affect the psychological health and physical health of patients in the form of illness, stress, illness and sleep disorders. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between stress and sleep quality in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy during the Covid-19 pandemic at Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This type of research is the type of research used is a survey analysis, namely to see the events studied using the research design used is a cross sectional study. The sample in this study were breast cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy during the Covid-19 pandemic with accidental sampling technique. The stress instrument uses the DASS (Depressi On Anxiety Stress Scale) 42 which consists of 14 questions about stress, while the sleep quality instrument uses the Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 18 questions including seven components of sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep disturbances, use of sleeping pills, and daytime activity dysfunction. The results of this study were processed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a relationship between stress and sleep quality in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy during the Covid-19 pandemic (p value = 0.000; α = 0.05).

Abstract

The process of aging and old age is a natural process for everyone. Increasing age can put you at risk for diseases that can attack the endocrine system. One of the diseases that many elderly have is Diabetes Mellitus with a total of 1,752 cases in 2018. To help overcome this, a form of elderly health service has emerged that can guarantee and improve health, namely the elderly posyandu. Thus, this study aims to explore the existence of health services for elderly women with Diabetes Mellitus. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with the sample technique used is purposive sampling. The instrument used was an interview guide. The results showed that many elderly women experience Diabetes Mellitus but health insurance such as the elderly posyandu is rarely found in Dukuh Pancuran. The rarity of the posyadu program for the elderly because of the lack of attention from the Dukuh Pancuran administrators can have an impact on the quality of life of the elderly. Therefore, the interaction of the elderly with the social environment is an important factor in maintaining the health needs of the elderly. The conclusion of this research is that health services such as posyandu for the elderly are needed to control and improve the quality of life for the welfare of the elderly. This research can be taken into consideration for administrators of Dukuh Pancuran and Puskesmas in implementing the posyandu program for the elderly.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a disease characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels which has a risk of long-term or short-term complications. The inability of the community to carry out treatment independently is one of the causes that affect the ability of Diabetes Mellitus sufferers to carry out activities. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of client-centered guidance on independence in Diabetes Mellitus patients.Methods:This study used a quasy-experimental design with a pre-post test control group design approach, The sample in this study was 46 respondents divided into 23 interventions group and 23 control groups. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling. The intervention was given by providing client-centered guidance on day 1 with 4 stages, time duration ± 60 minutes, and evaluation for 7 days. Analysis of data using an independent t-test with a significance level of = 0.05.Results: The results of the t-test independent t-test with the value of P = 0.001, it means is an effect of client-centered guidance on the independence of Diabetes Mellitus patients.Conclusion: Providing client-centered guidance can increase independence and it can as part of nursing care interventions in the form of a support education system.

Abstract

The implementation of Information Technology in nursing improves the quality of care. Electronic nursing record is an innovation that enhances the efficiency of nursing care. The informatics skill is needed for nurses to adapt with the innovation of Information Technology. This paper aims to discuss the informatics skill of nurses at one public hospital in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. This study was analytical study with cross sectional approach. This study involved 237 nurses and used purposive sampling technique. The data was being taken by using self- assessed nursing informatics skill/ NICAT questionnaire which divides the informatics skill in to beginner, advance beginner, competent, proficient and expert. The result of the study showed that the majority of nurses’ informatics skill was competent (49.4%) and only 4.6% that is expert. Informatics skill of the nurses related to the sex, education level and length of work. The informatics training will help nurses to improve their informatics skill.

Abstract

AbstractThe decline in the functioning of the body's systems in the elderly as they get older can change certain nutritional aspects such as the sense of smell and taste, the ability to chew and swallow and the digestive function makes food uncomfortable and the elderly's appetite decreases . The decrease in food intake certainly affects the quality of life of the elderly. Food intake is one of the important factors to meet the needs of good nutritional intake. Elderly with high quality of life can cover all existing domains and also a good food intake for the changes experienced by the elderly. So that it becomes the basis of the importance of improving the quality of life and food intake of the elderly. The study was conducted to explore the relationship between quality of life and food intake at the Tresna Werdha Inakaka Social Home in Ambon. Research using quantitative methods with descriptive correlation design. The respondents involved were the elderly at the Tresna Werdha Ina Kaka Social Home, Ambon. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with respondents as many as 36 elderly. The data were processed using the excel program and then tested using the SPSS program to determine the relationship between variables. Data analysis using SPSS 20 correlation test or correlation using Pearson Product Moment with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that there was a relationship between variables in quality of life and food intake, with a moderate degree of correlation that led to a positive direction (r = 0.502; p = 0.002; p <0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that in the Tresna Werdha Ina Kaka Social Home, the quality of life and food intake have a moderate relationship, the higher the quality of life the better the food intake for the elderly.Keywords: Elderly, Quality of Life, Food Intake
