Abstract The aims of this research is to understand the responsibility of Mickey Haller as a lawyer. By using descriptive qualitative method, the writer will describes all things in the movie itself. The data were collected from some sources, such as books in library of Senayan ,Library of STIBA Nusa Mandiri, Google books and Website. The writer found the result of analysis about an interesting character from Mickey Haller as main character. Mickey Haller is a lawyer with high responsibility in his work. It makes him never give up on solving the case at hand. Mickey Haller is known as a lawyer who can acquit his clients from criminal penalties although most of his clients are criminal such bikers, con artist, drunk drivers, and drug dealers. Besides Mickey Haller was responsible for the work, he is also responsible for the safety of his family. He protects his children and ex-wife of the evil people who do not like him. In this movie, Mickey Haller is also a person loyal to good friends and work together. Keywords: Responsibility, main character, THE LINCLON LAWYER movie.

Speaking is a complex skill to be developed by students because of factors such as pronunciation, lack vocabulary, grammar structure, or just simply because some students are not motivated to learn it. This study aim to discuss about students 'anxiety and students' speaking skills. The object of research in this study was the eighth graders at SMPN 108 Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach in the correlation model.Instruments or tools used by researcher to collect data and divided into two types. First, a questionnaire (questionnaire) which contains 16 statements with 5 rating scales, which are used to measure the level of anxiety of students in the process of learning English. The second speaking test instrument of speaking skill. In analyzing the data, in analysis the data researcher used Pearson Product Moment Correlation to find out the correlation of data result completed by SPSS program. In the results of this research analysis have been shown that student anxiety in their speaking test that is 0.306, this value shows a positive correlation between the two variables. This result is seen from the table the estimated correlation of 0.306 is between 0.200-0.399, means the correlation strength of the two variables is low correlation. Though, r value showed low correlation interpretation, but the result explained us that the language anxiety has positive influence on students speaking skill to students SMPN 108. In conclusion the result of this research can be concluded that there is significant correlation, this shows that students’ English anxiety has an effect on the students’ speaking skill.Keyword: Correlation, Students’ Anxiety, Students’ Speaking Skill.

Lyrics of songs are almost similar to poetry, which distinguishes them from song lyrics that do not require deep diction to refer to majas or symbols. Therefore, many song lyrics revolve around the meaning of denotations and connotations. This happened in Saptarasa's Pathetic Fairy Tales song lyrics. This study aims to describe the meaning of denotation and connotation of research data sources, namely Saptarasa's Pathetic Fairy Tales song lyrics. The denotative in this work tells the story of the search for love and also the way of approach. The meaning of the connotation in this work tells us that ‘I’ lyrics cannot reach ‘angel’ and only see it.

An analysis of the tenth grade students’ difficulties on elliptical construction at MAN 1 Kota Tangerang Selatan become an issue in this study. The writers choose the 15 students randomly for sample. The method of the research is qualitative descriptive analysis where the data obtained from test, observation, and an interview. The primary data of the study is test about elliptical constructions. The test consists of 10 items in essay form of using so, too, either and neither in the sentences. The finding shows there are three difficulties of using elliptical constructions, namely 1) elliptical connector is 21 mistakes, 2) auxiliary is15 mistakes, and 3) omission the auxiliary is 12 mistakes. It can be concluded that the tenth grade students of science 2 are difficult in using elliptical construction. It is because they are still confuse to determine the using of so, too, either and neither in the sentences. The most factors that affect students’ difficulties are problems of meaning, form and form-meaning mapping.

Vocabulary is first thing to do and one micro skill that must be raise to help the students mastering four language skills. If the students have a lack of vocabulary, they will find some difficulties in expressing ideas in oral or written. In addition, if the students have less vocabulary, they also cannot access the information or knowledge. Moreover, without the words the students cannot really understand facts or ideas that the students have met. Therefore, the students should have to obtain vocabulary mastery to communicate effectively or express his ideas in both oral and written form and also used as basic foundation to construct a word into a good sequence of sentence. Due to the statement, this study is aimed to find out the effect of word box game on the eighth grade students’ vocabulary mastery at Mts Mathla’ul Anwar. The research method is using quasi experimental design and analyze the data by using statitistical hypothesis. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the data was normally distributed and homogeneous. Then, the researchers used t-test formula to analyze the hypotheses. From hypothesis test using t-test, obtained tcount was smaller than ttable or 1.54 < 1.67 on pre-test and on post-test that tcount was higher than ttable or 8.92 > 1.67 with the degree of significant α = 0.05 and df = 35 + 35 - 2 = 68. Thus, it can be concluded that there is difference of students’ vocabulary mastery between using word box game and without word box game in experiment and control class.

Vocabulary, which consists of the knowledge of meaning as the main component of a language, should be taught together with reading, structure and conversation. This research conducted to know whether there is any correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension among tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 6 Tangerang. Those students has different background and interest which impact to learning and teaching process especially in reading activity. The sample of this research involving 68 students and carried out quantitatively with tests as instruments and questionare. The result of table correlation shows that the significance is ρcount 0,050 and ρtable 0,77. It means 0,799 > 0,050. It means that the correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension is positive and not significant. Suitable and appropriate technique, test and method needed.

Nowadays generally, technology encompasses all aspects of modern life and particularly, the writing by using English language. The challenges of learning English writing in Indonesia are plenty as English is perceived as a Foreign Language. This paper aims to reveal tertiary level students’ perception and attitude towards their technology aptitude: usage models, noticed benefits of and challenges to employ technology in learning English as Foreign Language (EFL) writing. This is a qualitative research, a case study, and used a self-structured questionnaire and interview to collect the data. Two participant lecturer observers and one hundred and sixty-seven students in a private college in Tangerang were purposively selected thirty students for questionnaire and interview. The data were carried out to reveal the lecturers and students’ perspective of assistive technology in EFL writing. The results revealed that assistive technology such as Webbing/Blogs, Computer software, Social Mediaapps, YouTubechannel, smart phone and tablet apps are found to be used by EFL learners to learn EFL Writing. Yet, most of the students had constraint at bad Internet connection. The outcome of this study offers thinkable instructional suggestions for students’ EFL Writing and creates base for further studies in this area.Keywords: Students’ EFL Writing, Learning EFL Writing, Assistive Technology

The purpose of this research is to analyze the tendency of Indonesians to assume all types of abbreviation is acronym. This study examines the types of word formation process of abbreviation, and whether abbreviation or acronym is the correct umbrella term for this particular morphological process. Using library research method, this paper refers to two key morphology researchers from Britain and Indonesia, Laurie Bauer and Harimurti Krisdalaksana respectively, as well as one Indonesian Doctorate Arie Ansrasyah Isa whom referred the former two researchers in her study that proposes 16 types of abbreviations using data from top Indonesian newspapers, Jakarta Post and Kompas. This paper concludes that common people in Indonesia refer all abbreviations as acronyms because their high preference in abbreviating long phrases stems from the desire to increase pronounceability and familiarity of words, usually in the context of humor, but is highly prevalent in all situations, formal or non-formal.

The present study is a case specific attempt to explore the effectiveness of English as a foreign language textbooks entitled New Access English for Academic Purposes Revised Edition on the students active learning in EFL situation. The current research underpinned an indepth approach which led to descriptive analysis data collection through a textbook evaluation checklist. It was addressed to 40 undergraduate students in EFL classroom. Textbook evaluation checklist was built on both close and open-ended questions which were comprehensively analyzed separately. The findings revealed that the textbook contributes much advantages on the students active learning, be able to stimulate students in the EFL learning situations, and assist the EFL teachers or lecturers in designing sistematically their classroom learning activities based on the learning objectives and expectation written in the textbook. As explained in the findings of research that some students feel encouraged in terms of utilizing the designed textbook in the language classroom, they thought the EFL textbook is able to improve their English language skills especially in reading, listening, writing, speaking and grammar understanding. Although in the other side, the EFL learners responded that there would be better if the author of textbook tried to make some need analysis for improving and formulating much better language learning materials. Additionally, the EFL lecturers feel assisted after using the textbook for EFL students to construct effectively their course syllabus and language learning activities in the classroom.
