Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the validity of the development of simple environment-based practicum guides in integrated science subjects using the 4-D model, 2) the practicality of the validity of the development of simple environment-based practicum guides in integrated science subjects using the 4-D model, and 3) the effectiveness of the validity of the development of simple environment-based practicum guides in integrated science subjects using the 4-D model. This research is a development research. The development model in this study is the 4-D development model which consists of 4 stages namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The results of this study indicate that the integrated science practicum guide developed has a very high validity with a percentage of 87.04%. This shows that the developed practicum guide is suitable for use in the integrated science learning process. The developed practicum guide is included in the very practical category, with an average percentage of 82.64% indicating that the developed practicum guide can increase student participation in practicum activities. The developed practicum guide can improve students' learning outcomes by 21.5% with a moderate category, indicating that the use of simple practicum guides in integrated science subjects contributes positively to the understanding of integrated science concepts and is effectively used in integrated science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a science encyclopaedia based on summaries of the Qur'an for blind students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The urgency of this research lies in the limited availability of accessible science learning resources with spiritual values for blind students, which poses a challenge in supporting inclusive and character-based education. The development was carried out with reference to a procedural model. The development procedure is based on 4-D. The results of this quality product development research show that the encyclopaedia, based on the assessment of science experts and media experts, has an excellent score, with an average score of 3.79 and 3.75. The quality of the developed product shows that the encyclopaedia based on the assessment of science teachers has a good score, with an average score of 3.06. The students' response in the small field test was very agreeable with an average score of 4. The research results conclude that the students' science character obtained through N-Gain analysis shows an average increase of 0.40, which is in the moderate criteria. The research findings indicate that the characters developed include curiosity, objectivity, responsibility, creativity, and critical thinking, as well as being able to increase the enthusiasm and learning experiences of visually impaired students in a more meaningful way. Thus, this product is effective in science learning to support inclusive character education based on Qur'anic values.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the level of disaster literacy among santri (Islamic boarding school students) and ustadz/ah (teachers) in pesantren; 2) analyze the difference in disaster literacy levels between santri and public school students. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method. The research sample consisted of 306 respondents, comprising 300 students (santri and junior high school students) selected by convenience sampling from 3 pesantren and 3 public schools in East Kalimantan, and 6 science teachers. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale based on Brown et al.'s (2014) literacy model, which had been tested for validity (product moment > 0.5) and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.6). Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics to categorize literacy levels (low, medium, high) and the Mann-Whitney U test to examine differences between groups due to non-normally distributed data. The results show that: 1) the disaster literacy level of ustadz/ah is higher than that of santri, with santri's literacy still dominated by the medium category and characterized by uncertain responses across various indicators; 2) although the Mann-Whitney test indicated a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) between santri and public school students, both groups face similar practical challenges, namely the dominance of medium-level literacy and comparable patterns of uncertainty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trends, psychological impacts, and academic effectiveness of implementing gamification methods at the Elementary School (SD) level using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0, conventional learning methods often fail to maintain the attention of "Generation Alpha" students who are accustomed to digital stimulation. Data were collected from Google Scholar, Garuda, and DOAJ databases spanning the last 10 years (2015-2025). Based on selection using the PRISMA protocol, 20 main articles were thematically analyzed. The review results show three main findings: (1) There is an evolution of gamification media from desktop/offline applications to cloud-based platforms and AI integration; (2) Gamification significantly increases intrinsic motivation through the fulfillment of Self-Determination Theory needs (competence, autonomy, relatedness); (3) There is a consistent improvement in cognitive learning outcomes, especially in Mathematics and Science subjects, as well as critical thinking skills. This study concludes that gamification is an urgent pedagogical necessity to create joyful learning relevant to the characteristics of today's students.
