Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

 This research aims to analyze the procurement of raw materials, processing, profits and marketing of banana chips in Tanjung Raja District, North Lampung Regency. The research method used is a case study by determining the research location purposively at the Siti, Farida and Giyarti Agroindustry. Data collection was obtained through observation and interviews using questionnaires collected from May to June 2022 at the Siti, Farida and Giyarti Banana Chips Agroindustry. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis (processing analysis and marketing mix analysis) and quantitative descriptive analysis (EOQ, FIFO and profit analysis). The research results showed that the optimal amount of banana inventory based on the EO method at the Siti, Farida and Giyarti Agroindustry were 63.56 kg, 50.67 kg, 44.33 kg with an ordering frequency of 95 times. The final inventory value of bananas based on the FIFO method at the three Agro-industries in 2021 were IDR 8,853,000.00, IDR 2,298,000.00 and IDR 2,940,000.00, respectively. The processing processes at the three agro-industries include peeling, slicing, frying, draining, cooling, adding flavoring powder and packaging. The marketing mix at the three Agro-industries applies product, price, place, promotion, human resources, process and physical evidence. Profit per production at Siti, Farida and Giyarti Agroindustry respectively amounted to IDR 8,942,657.75; Rp. 2,958,631.94; and IDR 1,842,164.58 with a selling price per 200 grams of IDR 12,000 at Siti Agroindustry and IDR 10,000 at Farida and Giyarti Agroindustry. Key words: EOQ, FIFO, marketing mix, processing and profit

Abstract

Human civilization is entering a disruptive era of technology indicated by behaviour changes and the discovery of new patterns, one of which is digital transformation. It was further triggered by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The right digital marketing model contributes to a massive digital technology-based market transformation to increase the welfare of agricultural business actors. The research focuses on business actors that utilize digital technology in the category of fresh food products. The aims of this research are: 1). Analyzing the effectiveness of digital marketing, and 2). Analyzing business performance. The research using basic case study method. The research location was chosen purposively, namely three business actors, by utilizing digital innovation.The results shows that the business performance of selling fresh food online in Bandar Lampung is divided into two aspects, namely production performance and management performance. Production performance is based on productivity, quality, capacity, process, delivery speed, flexibility, and processing speed to layout. Meanwhile, management performance is based on guidelines regarding good food production methods for home industries, from 13 assessment indicators, it was found that business A was in the category of minor deviation, business actor B and C was in the category of major deviation.Keywords: Digital Transformation, Digital Marketing Effectiveness, Groceries

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of visitors’ satisfaction at Mutun Beach, the tourist attributes that need to be improved and maintained by Mutun Beach, and to find out the driving and inhibiting factors development of Mutun Beach. The method used in this research was a survey method. The samples in this study were 4 Mutun employees and 77 visitors, which were taken using purposive sampling and accidental sampling methods. Data collection was carried out in January - February 2023. The data analysis methods used were Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicated that the level of visitor satisfaction is in the "Satisfied" category with a CSI value of 74.77%. Based on the IPA method, tourism attributes that need to be improved are the condition of game facilities such as banana boats, rubber boats and water booms, the safety of water boom, and the condition of toilet and prayer room facilities. Tourism attributes that need to be maintained are the attractiveness of the beach, cleanliness, comfortable atmosphere, calm sea water, various and condition of infrastructure and game facilities, and good service. Factors that are driving the development of Mutun Beach are high tourist attractiveness, easy accessibility, complete facilities, good service and management, and government’s role. The inhibiting factors are limited promotion, competitors or other beaches around Mutun, and limited funds and human resources.Key words: CSI, development potential, IPA, visitor satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to determine the degree and behavior of red chili market integration within the red chili market region of Lampung Province through descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach using vector autoregression (VAR) method. This study uses secondary data provided by the Badan Pusat Statistik. There is a long-term relation between producer-level red chilli prices in Lampung, consumer-level big red chili prices in Bandar Lampung, consumer-level big red chili prices in South Sumatra, and consumer-level big red chili prices in Bengkulu. There is a one-way relation between producer-level red chili prices in Lampung and consumer-level big red chili prices in South Sumatra. There is also a one-way relationship between big red chili prices at the Bandar Lampung consumer level and big red chili prices at the Bengkulu and South Sumatra consumers levels.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of Pangasius skin chips agroindustry. The location of this research was determined with consideration of Rafin’s Snack is the largest chip agroindustry in Pajaresuk District and yet still has the potential to be developed. Respondents in this study consisted of various parties involved to the analysis of development strategy for the agroindustry, namely agroindustry owners, representatives of the Pringsewu District Fisheries Service, the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry and Trade of Pringsewu District, and a lecturer at the University of Lampung. Data was collected in January 2023. The analytical method used was SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) analysis. The results showed that the main strength of Rafin's Snack Agroindustry is the availability of sufficient raw materials, the main weakness is limited capital, the main opportunity is wide market reach, the main threat is the change in people's tastes. The prioritized development strategies for Rafin's Snack Agroindustry are to do consumer research and to adapt by creating more flavors to the product, to use a cloud-based cashier application (point of sale) in making transactions, to use electronic word of mouth (eWOM) by using the services of influencers or key opinion leaders (KOL) for promoting product and improving brand awareness, to organize educational seminars in collaboration with universities (business goes to campus) to strengthen brand identity and build consumer trust, as well as to utilize production machine provided by the Pringsewu District Fisheries Service.

Abstract

Cocoa is one of the leading plantation commodities in Lampung Province.  This commodity has contributed high export value in raw form and has become the main raw material in various agro-industries.  The main cocoa production center in Lampung Province is Pesawaran. All cocoa plantations in Pesawaran Regency are smallholder plantations.  Smallholder plantations have an important and strategic role, especially in increasing income and providing employment for the community.  There are two research objectives.  First, to analyze the performance level of monoculture and polyculture cocoa plantations in Gedong Tataan Sub-district, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.  Secondly, to analyze the difference on the profit levels of cocoa plantations with monoculture and polyculture in Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.  The research location was selected purposively by the consideration that Sungai Langka Village is the main cocoa bean producer in Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency. The research was conducted by a survey method, in which samples of 34 cocoa farmers were chosen by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that R/C ratio on total costs obtained by cocoa farmers with monoculture cropping pattern is 2.97. Meanwhile, the highest level of R/C ratio on total costs of polyculture is the cocoa-coffee-durian cropping pattern (3.69).  There was no significant difference between performance of monoculture and on polyculture cocoa plantations. Key words: cocoa, monoculture, polyculture, performance

Thel number ofl samples inl this researchl were 70 consumers whol had bought or consumed at international franchised fast food restaurants atl least oncel in thel last onel month. Thel research datal were analyzedl by usingl fishbein lmulti-atribute lanalysis, descriptivel statistics analysis, andl multiple linear regressionl analysis. Datal collection wasl conducted from lJune-Julyl 2022. Thel results showedl that thel consumers who boughtl or consumed atlinternational franchised fast food restaurants is because of its taste, hygiene, and services. Consumers more likely to buy at a international franchised fast food restaurants that served fried chicken as it main course like McD and KFC. The average amount of purchased were two menus per transaction and average amount of frequency were three times per month with reason of purchased were great taste, easy to find, and practical. Factors that affected the consumption were incomes, international franchised fast food restaurant’s prices, and consumers habitual variables.
