Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to identify pineapple marketing channels and analyze the efficiency of pineapple marketing in Punggur District, Central Lampung. The research population was 175 pineapple farmers. The sampling technique was obtained based on the calculation of the slovin formula, then the proportion for the sample was obtained by sampling 54 pineapple farmers. Sampling was done in simple random sampling (simple random sampling). Besides, there are 6 collector traders, 2 large traders, and 4 retail traders. The data analysis used were marketing channels, marketing margin analysis, farmers’ share, and R/C ratio. Research location was in Punggur District, Central Lampung. The research period was conducted in May 2020. The results of the research are (1) there are two pineapple marketing channels in Punggur Subdistrict, Central Lampung, (2) pineapple marketing efficiency which is said to be more efficient is channel II and from the three pineapple grades, grade A produces greater profits than other grades. Keywords: farmer’s share, efficiency, margin, marketing ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi saluran pemasaran nanas dan menganalisis efisiensi pemasaran nanas di Kecamatan Punggur Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 175 petani nanas. Teknik pengambilan sampel didapatkan berdasarkan perhitungan rumus slovin, kemudian dilakukan proporsi untuk sampel didapatkan sampel sebesar 54 petani nanas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Selain itu, terdapat 6 pedagang pengepul, 2 pedagang besar, dan 4 pedagang pengecer. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah saluran pemasaran, analisis marjin pemasaran, farmers’share, dan R/C ratio. Lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Punggur Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan mei 2020. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) terdapat dua saluran pemasaran nanas di Kecamatan Punggur Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, (2) efisiensi pemasaran nanas yang dikatakan lebih efisien adalah saluran II dan dari ketiga grade nanas, grade A menghasilkan keuntungan lebih besar dari grade lainnya. Kata kunci : efisiensi, farmer’s share, marjin, nanas

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic benefits received by members of KGM, the contribution of cooperation economic benefits on household income of KGM members, and non-economic benefits (level of satisfaction) of the KGM members. This research was conducted in KGM, PT GMP, Central Lampung Regency.  The total samples are 75 members of KGM.  Data analysis method that used is the economic benefits of cooperative analysis, analysis of household income cooperative members, and analysis of the level of satisfaction of member cooperatives using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis. The results showed that the direct economic benefits derived by KGM members each year, was on average of Rp1,689,921.00, while the indirect economic benefits by KGM Members, each year, was on average of Rp9,565,067.00.  Total economic benefits of KGM, contributing to income amounted to14.28% of members. Level of satisfaction of the members of KGM to KGM is 70.8 %, which means that members of the KGM feel satisfied with the performance of the services provided by the employee of KGM. Abstract

Pepper is a type of spice that has a slightly bitter, spicy, and warm character. Based on market forecasts, the trend of pepper consumption will continue to increase during the period from 2019 to 2025. In the domestic market, pepper has the potential to continue to be developed due to the opportunity to increase its consumption. However, pepper agribusiness also experiences various problems including limited ability to adopt seed technology, cultivation, and processing, lack of farmer capital, pest, and disease attacks, fluctuations in world prices, and lack of farmers who master technology. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the pepper agribusiness development strategy, especially in Lampung with its product which is well known in the global market, namely Lampung black pepper. The purpose of this study was to formulate a strategy for developing black pepper agribusiness in Lampung Province through the identification of internal and external strategic factors. The research was conducted in Lampung Province in 2018. The research was conducted using FGD and survey techniques.  Determination of the sample is done purposively. The sample comes from pepper agribusiness actors, polipolicymakersd pepper experts.This  study uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods with SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the position of black pepper agribusiness in Lampung Province is in group V with the position of the hold and maintain strategy. Strategy formulation is carried out on strengthening the basis of strength (S) and opportunity (O). The resulting strategy formulation includes policies and regulations including market certainty and price policy, strengthening human resource capacity, institutional and partnership development, technological innovinnovation, strengthening agro-input systems.Keywords:  Agribusiness, Black pepper, Strategy development, Technological innovation

Abstract

The mini factory operated by PT Aneka Laba Jaya Utama (AULAJU) is the only mini factory in Lampung Province.  However, the current business activities seem to be "running in place" and even chocolate production has stopped for almost a year.  Therefore, a financial feasibility study was carried out as a basis for planning for the development of PT AULAJU's chocolate production business.  The research was conducted at the Perseroda PT AULJU, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.  The analysis used in this study is testing the investment criteria, that are Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C), dan payback period (PP).  The business development strategy was analyzed using SWOT analysis.  The results of the discussion show that PT. AULAJU was declared eligible to be run and developed because NPV=27 billion >0 (positive), IRR=86%>BRI Bank interest rate 12%, Net B/C=1,01>1, Gross B/C=2,01>1, and PP=1,44 (Payback Period< maximum time/economic life of investment (10 years).  On the other side, PT AULAJU must make improvements in the context of developing its business. The three main priority strategies are 1) Repair and rejuvenation of machinery and factory equipment that have been damaged or are no longer used, 2) Optimizing the management of BPOM and Halal production permits, etc., 3) Improving the management of BUMD management.

Abstract

Desa Rejo Agung memiliki banyak potensi desa dan terus melakukan pembenahan secara mandiri melalui berbagai program kegiatan yang telah dimasukan dalam RPJMDes Rejo Agung, guna mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Akan tetapi, program-program kegiatan pengembangan Desa Rejo Agung dirasa masih kurang optimal, sehingga perlu dilakukan penyusunan roadmap pengembangan Desa Rejo Agung dengan merujuk dokumen Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Desa (RPJMDes) Rejo Agung yang telah ada. Kendala lainnya yaitu keterbatasan aparatur desa dalam melaksanakan sistem administrasi pemerintahan desa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui pentingnya pelaksanaan sistem administrasi pemerintahan desa, 2) Menyusun roadmap pengembangan Desa Rejo Agung, 3) Melakukan review Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Desa (RPJMDes), 4) Pemetaan wilayah berbasis potensi Desa Rejo Agung.  Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Rejo Agung Kecamatan Tegineneng Kabupaten Pesawaran,  dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu ceramah dan metode diskusi/sharing. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sangat baik dan tepat sasaran.  Dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, sasaran mulai 1) memahami pentingnya aparatur desa dalam melaksanakan sistem administrasi pemerintahan desa secara tertib, 2) menyusun roadmap pengembangan Desa Rejo Agung dalam upaya meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, memperoleh nilai tambah, serta meningkatkan PAD Rejo Agung, 3) melakukan review RPJMDes Rejo Agung, dimana RPJMDes Rejo Agung belum memasukan pertimbangan dari berbagai macam potensi desa yang dimiliki dapat dikembangkan oleh masyarakat Desa Rejo Agung, 4) memahami pentingnya pemetaan wilayah berbasis potensi Desa Rejo Agung agar dapat mudah untuk dikembangkan.Kata Kunci: kapasitas aparatur, administrasi pemetaan, RPJMDes, roadmap

Abstract

Cocoa is one of the leading plantation commodities in Lampung Province.  This commodity has contributed high export value in raw form and has become the main raw material in various agro-industries.  The main cocoa production center in Lampung Province is Pesawaran. All cocoa plantations in Pesawaran Regency are smallholder plantations.  Smallholder plantations have an important and strategic role, especially in increasing income and providing employment for the community.  There are two research objectives.  First, to analyze the performance level of monoculture and polyculture cocoa plantations in Gedong Tataan Sub-district, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.  Secondly, to analyze the difference on the profit levels of cocoa plantations with monoculture and polyculture in Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.  The research location was selected purposively by the consideration that Sungai Langka Village is the main cocoa bean producer in Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency. The research was conducted by a survey method, in which samples of 34 cocoa farmers were chosen by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that R/C ratio on total costs obtained by cocoa farmers with monoculture cropping pattern is 2.97. Meanwhile, the highest level of R/C ratio on total costs of polyculture is the cocoa-coffee-durian cropping pattern (3.69).  There was no significant difference between performance of monoculture and on polyculture cocoa plantations. Key words: cocoa, monoculture, polyculture, performance

Abstract

Cassava is a strategic commodity that has an influence on the stability of food security and drives industries from small to large scale and from upstream to downstream.  Despite the potential and opportunities for developing cassava commodities in Lampung Province, the problems and challenges, especially those related to cassava marketing, are still relatively large. This research was conducted in Labuhan Ratu VI Village, Labuhan Ratu District, East Lampung Regency, Lampung Province in October 2020 - July 2021.  The sampling method used was the snowball method.  The snowball method is very appropriate to use in research on the topic of trade because it provides a complete description of the characteristics and conditions of marketing channels, the existing conditions of marketing institutions, and the effectiveness of existing trade channels.  The research was conducted employing a survey method, and by simple random sampling involving 147 respondents of cassava farmers. The results revealed that cassava marketing consists of 2 channels. Farmer share channel I and II respectively 74% and 86%, while  the marketing efficiency value (EP) marketing channel I and II respectively 13.04 % and 10.35%. These results show that marketing channel II is more efficient than marketing channel I because it has a high farmer share and marketing efficiency with a small percentage.  This is because in marketing channel II farmers directly sell their cassava to the factory and marketing costs are low.  Therefore, farmers are advised to market their products through marketing channel II.

Abstract

The selling price of cassava is still a major problem that always arises from year to year.  Low selling prices below cassava production costs cause losses for farmers.  This research aims to analyze the cost of production (HPP) of cassava and its relationship with cassava production factors in Lampung province.  This research was conducted in Lampung Province using a survey method with a total of 210 cassava farmers consisting of cassava farmers in East Lampung, Central Lampung and West Tulang Bawang Regencies.  These three areas were chosen because they are cassava production centers in Lampung Province.  The analysis used for the cost of production uses the full costing and variable costing methods, apart from that the analysis of the relationship to production factors is analyzed using multiple linear regression using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method.  The amount of profit or loss borne by farmers is analyzed using R/C or the comparison of total revenue obtained with total costs incurred.  Based on the results of the study, it was found that the variable costing HPP for cassava was IDR 453/kg and the full costing HPP was IDR 698/kg.  Income from cash costs of cassava farming per hectare is IDR 7,410,379.11/ha and income from total costs is IDR 1,711,995.55/ha with an R/C value for cash costs of 2.06 and R/C for total costs of 1.03, which means that cassava farming in Lampung Province is profitable to cultivate.  Apart from that, production factors that are significantly related to the cost of production are land area and seed prices.  Both have a positive influence on the Ubikayu HPP in Lampung Province. keywords: Full Costing,Production Factors, Profit

Abstract

Provinsi Lampung merupakan produsen ubikayu terbesar di Indonesia dengan pangsa sebesar 33,93% dan rata-rata produksi sebesar 7,74 juta ton. Keterbatasan modal, ketidakstabilan produksi dan kualitas ubi kayu, dan ketidakefisienan pemasaran ubi kayu masih menjadi masalah yang perlu diatasi untuk mencapai kesejahteraan petani. Rekayasa kelembagaan agribisnis ubikayu sangat penting untuk dilakukan agar tercapainya outcome yang berkontribusi dalam pengembangan agribisnis ubikayu berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan kendala kelembagaan ubikayu di Provinsi Lampung, Sosialisasi rekayasa kelembagaan model pengembangan agribisnis ubikayu, dan FGD peran dan kinerja kelembagaan petani ubikayu dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani ubikayu di Provinsi Lampung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisai dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan petani sudah banyak mengetahui terkait potensi ubikayu baik dibidang pangan maupun non pangan. Beberapa kendala yang dihadapi petani ubikayu yaitu aksesibilitas bibit ubikayu, kesulitan mendapatkan pupuk, kesulitan mendapatkan modal, dan serangan hama dan penyakit. Berdasarkan FGD yang perlu digarisbawahi terkait kelembagaan formal (subsidi dan penerapan harga dasar) dan kelembagaan informal (peran gapoktan dan kemampuan negosiasi petani).

Abstract

Pekon Ambarawa Timur merupakan salah satu produsen padi terbesar di Provinsi Lampung.  Luas lahan tanaman pangan berkisar antara 500 m2.  Kelembagaan petani yang ada cukup aktif, sehingga beberapa bantuan dari pemerintah masuk.  Selain itu, terdapat sumber air yang cukup baik.  Namun beberapa permasalahan seperti partisipasi, pengetahuan, dan skill SDM. Tujuan kegiatan ini yakni meningkatkan dinamika kelompok tani , melakukan penguatan kelembagaan petani, serta memperkerkenalkan teknologi informasi agribisnis padi pada kelompok tani pangan di Desa Ambarawa Timur, Kecamatan Ambarawa, Kabupaten Pringsewu. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode  pelatihan/penyuluhan, FGD, dan pendampingan.  Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan dinamika kelompok, kinerja kelembagaan, dan optimalisasi teknologi dalam usahatani saling berhubungan.  Ketiganya merupakn  komponen dalam rangka mengembangan bisnis petani.  Dengan teknologi petani mudah dalam mengakses informasi.  Dengan dinamika kelompok yang baik, kinerja kelembagaan akan menjadi lebih efisien.  Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pengabdian serupa secara kontinyu kepada kelompok tani terutama kelompok tani pangan.
