Women are vulnerable to mental health disorders in the perionatal period due to changes in the role of being a mother. Midwives plays a pivotal role in screening and educating a perinatal mental health disorders. This study aims to investigate the experience of midwives in providing perinatal mental health services in ASEAN countries. This study adopted a framework from Arksey and O'Malley which consists of 5 steps, i.e., identifying scoping review questions, identifying relevant articles, planning article selection, charting data, and presenting data or results, discussions and conclusions. The data were gathered through three databases namely Wiley, proQuest and PubMed. The articles were selected based on inclusion criteria: publications within 2011-2021 in Indonesian or English, articles that have gone through peer review stages, and primary articles. The critical appraisal stage employed a checklist from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The findings of this scoping review obtained 10 articles from Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Four themes emerged were: (1) the knowledge of midwives about perinatal mental health (level of knowledge, symptoms, internal and external causes, prevention), (2) screening services (roles and barriers), (3) handling services (experience of integrating maternity services and information systems, midwifery care in perinatal care services, and forms of social support), and (4) the role of the midwife in internal referral. Midwives in ASEAN already have perinatal mental health experience related to perinatal mental health knowledge, have screened, provided treatment through midwifery care, and made internal referrals in cases of mental health disorders. Midwives need to improve the capabilities and skills of perinatal mental health through education and training.

Abstract

The nutritional status of under-five children in Indonesia remains low, including in North Maluku province. Based on the results of the 2021 SSGI, the prevalence of stunting among under-five children in this province is 27.5%. This figure is higher than the national prevalence of 24.4%. North Maluku has abundant potential for tuna fish that can be utilized in the development of local food that supports nutritional interventions for children. The recent study reported that as many as 86.7% of children aged 12 – 24 months consumed processed foods like nuggets, sausages, and meatballs. Most consumers (98.67%) also showed a high interest in consuming nuggets that contain higher protein and mineral content. The addition of moringa leaf vegetables and carrots to nuggets will increase the nutritional content of nuggets which can increase nutritional intake for children. This study was an experimental study that aimed to determine the shelf life of tuna fish nuggets substituted with moringa leaves and carrots using the Extended Storage Studies (SES) method. SES method was used to determine the shelf life of tuna fish nuggets substituted with moringa leaves and carrots by looking at the organoleptic quality which includes aroma, color and texture. Observations were made in February-March 2021 for 60 days at the Laboratory of Food Science, Poltekkes Ternate. Changes in quality began to occur on the 35th day of observation, namely the texture of the nuggets began to not be crunchy. While the observation of color and aroma did not change until the 60th day of observation. In conclusion, the shelf life of tuna fish nuggets substituted with Moringa leaves and carrots is up to 30 days.

Abstract

WHO introduced Covid-19 as a global health problem on January 30, 2020, and currently here are more than 6.05 million cases of Covid-19 reported from 188 countries and resulted in 368,000 deaths. One of the efforts recommended by the Indonesian Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of this infection is to limit social contact and practice clean and healthy living. This study develops a communication strategy in education on the prevention and handling of COVID-19 in South Sulawesi. Through a qualitative approach, data collection was carried out through focus group discussions to identify a picture of the community's response in dealing with this pandemic. This study resulted in infographics and guides containing information related to the prevention and handling of COVID-19. In addition, voice messages have been developed about 3M's behavior and the correct use of masks. A communication strategy by considering the local situation in the form of community responses is important when conducting education during a pandemic. This is due to the large amount of information spread in the mass media that is easily accessible by the public. In addition, the ever-changing situation also requires us to be able to continue to innovate in developing health messages that will be disseminated to the public. Messages created can include new information, confirmation or refutation of hoaxes that may develop.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has captured a lot of attention from the global community. This pandemic was caused by SARS-CoV-2 by producing nonstructural proteins (nsp1-16). This study aims to analyze the tertiary structure of nsp1 and nsp2 in SARS-CoV-2 in-silico. The target proteins nsp1 and nsp2 have access codes YP_009725297.1 and YP_009725298.1 obtained from NCBI. The amino acid composition of nsp1 and nsp2 is 19774.35 Daltons and 70507.81 Daltons, respectively. The nsp1 tertiary structure produces a model structure with a percentage of 64%, 19% disordered area, 42% alpha-helix, 13% beta strand, 92.17% model verification (passed), 74.0% favored region and 6.4% outliers area (stable). The nsp2 tertiary structure produced a model structure with a percentage of 9%, 17% disordered area, 36% alpha-helix, 27% beta strand, 64.29% model verification (failed), 76.0% favored region and 16.4% outliers area (unstable). The stability of nsp1 has very good potential compared to nsp2, the validation of the structure obtained can be the basis for studying the development of the vaccine design for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.

Abstract

The government has established a health protocol for the adaptation of new habits, one of which is the use of cloth masks for healthy people. The public's indiscipline with wearing cloth masks as a government preventive effort in preventing the transmission of Covid-19 has led to an increase in Covid-19 cases. The aim of the study was to analyze the literature review on the effectiveness of using cloth masks in preventing the transmission of Covid-19. The research design was a literature review. The search for the articles discussed used several databases, including Pubmed, Ebscohost, Proquest, ScienceDirect, and Wiley Online with a span of 1 January - 29 July 2020. The keywords used to search for these articles were covid-19, coronavirus, 2019 n-cov, coronavirus disease, cloth masks, non-medical masks. The type of article used is a research article. Collected articles were reselected using inclusion criteria, namely: 1) the purpose of the article was to analyze the effectiveness of cloth masks in preventing the transmission of Covid-19, 2) were experimental and qualitative research, and exclusion criteria, namely 1) not a full text article, 2) the article don't use English. After the keyword search process, 13,268 articles were obtained from all databases used. Then the article selection was carried out, 8 articles that met the criteria were selected, 7 articles which concluded that the use of cloth masks was not recommended in preventing the transmission of Covid-19. There is only 1 article that mentions the combination of several variations of cloth that are used globally for the production of cloth masks has the ability to protect the respiratory organs from the transmission of aerosol particles. Based on this, it was concluded that the use of cloth masks was less effective in preventing the transmission of Covid-19, but the use of cloth masks was much better than not wearing a mask at all.

Abstract

Cases of refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients have been viral and continued nowadays. Many factors caused, the most common is unclear information about COVID-19 among communities. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the stigma of refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients and how safe management of the corpse of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia was established. Methode in this article used simple case study literature. Source articles were selected from databases: ProQuest, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Wiley Online. The results showed that stigmatization and discrimination didn’t only occur in the refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients, but the effect to other groups, such as people without symptom (nurse and doctor), people under observation, and patient under surveillance. Transparency regarding virus transmission and procedures for scavenging the remains of COVID-19 from the ward to the funeral hasn’t maximized even though guidelines have been regulated by the government. Lack of spreading information about COVID-19 still becomes the main issue that needs more concern for stopping negative impacts during this pandemic.
