This study used samples from beginner-level Japanese learners, namely apprentices at LPK JLMC Lembang, West Java. The research design used in this study is true experimental, using the experimental class and the control class in research activities as a comparison of whether or not the effectiveness of the padlet media in learning to write Japanese. The writing activity referred to in this research is writing danraku (paragraphs) in the form of short essays using padlet as a media for doing exercises. The first step in this study was to carry out a pre-test on the control class and the experimental class. Furthermore, the treatment with padlet media was carried out five times in the experimental class. The final step is to provide post-test to the experimental class and control class, as well as to distribute a special questionnaire for the experimental class. The results showed that the use of padlet media was quite effective in learning to write Japanese. This is based on the N-Gain test which shows the figure of 58%. Furthermore, based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that an attractive padlet display could increase learner motivation in writing activities. In addition, the use of letters, vocabulary and sentence patterns can be improved.

Research related to disaster mitigation is still an interesting topic to discuss. Moreover, Japan is also a disaster-prone country. The focus of this research is to discuss the cultivation of disaster mitigation education and how it is implemented in Japanese society. This study uses the literature method because it is considered the most appropriate and possible due to limited space. By taking data from official reports published by the Japanese government as secondary data, this research article will try to discuss the effectiveness of disaster education carried out by Japanese society. This study found that there are several keys to the success of disaster mitigation education carried out by Japan, including the role of educational facilitators, the role of central and local government, the existence of disaster response organizations and community cooperation as a whole. This paper is expected to complement previous research related to disaster knowledge. Thus, it is hoped that it can provide benefits especially to Indonesia, which is also a country that is quite often hit by natural disasters.

(Title: Physical and Inner Structure of the Poetry of Kimi Shinita Mou Koto Nakare by Yosano Akiko) This research examines Japanese poem shintaishi, Kimi Shinita Mou Koto Nakare by Yosano Akiko using structural and feminism approach. This research aims to understand the structurally context and the meaning of feminism contained in the poem. Yosano Akiko, whose real name is Shou Hou, is the first famous Japanese female poet in the late Meiji era. At that time when Japan was struck by war, the position of women in social and political life had shifted the view that physically women are not strong enough to contribute to the war that reduced the role of women. Women do not see war with an objective view but rather see it subjectively, which they associated with the author’s own condition. The results showed that in addition to convey her aspirations as a woman after the war, there were several images which are contained in Kimi Shinita Mou Koto Nakare.

The whole story in the short story cannot be separated from the elements that make it up. This study aimed to determine the intrinsic elements of the short story Yuki no Hi by Higuchi Ichiyō. The elements analyzed were themes and messages, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, and point of view. The theory used is the theory of structuralism with literature review techniques and qualitative analysis techniques. This research shows that the structure of this short story forms a unity of an exciting story from beginning to the end because of the integration of intrinsic elements in supporting the story presented. In addition, the use of deautomation techniques that delay the reader's understanding until the end of the story has succeeded in making the suspense of the story more interesting
