Abstract

Ferroelectric thin films have been used for different applications in the fields of electronics and electric-optics. Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) is very attractive ferroelectric material and becomes the center of attention due to its various advantages, including low optical losses, low dielectric constant and high storage capacity. The purpose of this research is to find the optical and crystal structure properties of thin-film Ba0,55 Sr0.45Tio3 (BST)1 M. Annealing time was 15 hours at a temperature of 750°C and 775oC on p-type silicon subtract by using chemical solution decomposition (CSD) methods which is followed by spin coating process at 3000 rpm for 30 seconds. Optical properties test such as absorbance and transmittance analysis, showed that the increase in the annealing temperature can improve the absorbance properties and energy gap of BST. Energy gap obtained by using tauc plot are 3.05 eV for the annealing temperature of 750°C and 3.225 eV for the annealing temperature of 775oC. Crystal structure by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) showed that the difference in annealing temperature causes a shift in the angle of diffraction. The pseudo tetragonal structure of Ba0,55 Sr0.45Tio3 becomes tetragonal (c / a <1) and the crystal structure have crystal orientation distribution.

Abstract

Terciptanya komunikasi antara fixed station dengan node tujuan yang sudah keluar dari  jangkauan  komunikasi tentunya membutuhkan sebuah atau lebih node sebagai perantaranya. Node perantara ini berfungsi untuk meneruskan informasi ke node tujuan dengan melihat beban kinerja routing apabila ada lebih dari beberapa hop. Semakin banyak hop komunikasi tentunya beban kerja routing akan  semakin besar. Penelitan ini mengembangkan kinerja sistem komunikasi ad hoc berbasis kanal VHF dengan menghubungkan sebuah node sebagai gateway dan node sebagai destination yang telah keluar dari radius komunikasinya. Dengan menggunakan node perantara yang diasumsikan mengetahui link komunikasi ke destination, beban kerja sistem dapat terukur dari parameter delay, jarak dan panjang karakter data. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan model untuk pengembangan sistem yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja penyearah terkendali satu phasa dengan melakukan perbandingan penggunaan filter pasif dan filter aktif yang dibebani tahanan (resistor) sebesar 20 Ohm. Nilai Total Distorsi Harmonik (THD) dan faktor kerja (PF) yang menunjukkan kinerja penyearah diukur secara langsung di dalam simulasi rangkaian dengan menggunakan PSPICE versi 7.1 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harmonisa atau THD yang timbul pada penyearah terkendali satu phasa dengan menggunakan filter pasif pada sudut penyalaan 100 – 600 adalah 1,914% -2,591%, sedangkan pada filter aktif sebesar 0,448% - 0,769. Dari sisi keluaran penyearah diperoleh riak tegangan sebesar 17,13% – 52,52% pada filter pasif, sedangkan filter aktif sebesar 21,53% - 30,92%. Berdasarkan riak tegangan yang diperoleh dari kedua filter ini, maka diperoleh faktor daya antara 0,27 - 0,52 (leading) dan efisiensi antara 78,38%-97,15% pada filter pasif sedangkan pada filter aktif diperoleh faktor daya sebesar 0,76 – 0,9 (lagging) dan efisiensi 91,27%-95,57. Dari hasil analisis dari kedua filter tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kinerja filter aktif lebih baik dibanding dengan filter pasif.

Abstract

Squirrel cage induction motors are widely used in electric motor drives due to their satisfactory mechanical characteristics (torque, current, overloading) and small dimensions, as well as their low price. When starting an induction motor, a large current is required for magnetizing its core, which results in a low power factor, rotor power losses and a temperature rise in the windings. None of these parameters should reach values beyond certain limits until the motor reaches nominal speed.The speed of an induction motor 1,1kW is affected very little by fluctuations of voltage. The greater the supply voltage of the motor, the induction motors speed will increase. The torque values (Tstart, TSmax and Tmax) are affected by the value of the motor supply voltage: (Vp-nl :  132.8, Tstart1 : 7.4, T S-max1 : 0.4, Tmax1 : 9.9) V, (Vp-nl :  127.0, Tstart2 : 4.8, T S-max1 : 0.3, Tmax1 : 8.4) V and (Vp-nl :  121.3, Tstart3 : 3.3, T S-max3 : 0.2, Tmax3 : 7.1) V. Stator current (IL-nl ; 2.5, 2.2, 1.9 ) Amp rises gradually on account of the increase in magnetising current (Im : 2.5, 2.2, 1.9) Amp. The magnetising current required to produce the stator flux. The component of the stator current which provides the ampere-turns balancing the rotor ampere-turns will steadily diminish as the rotor current (IL-nl) decrease with the increase in rotor speed (nr).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the large intensity lighting (Eaverage) based benchmark Indonesian National Standard (SNI) at the Computer Laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FST) is 500 Lux by of direct measurement, data analysis and simulation using software Calculux. Based on the results of the measurement, calculation and analysis of large value obtained Eaverage of 304.398 lux, so it can be seen that the laboratory has not reached the recommended ISO standards for laboratories. It is necessary for the simulation to achieve compliance in accordance with the ISO using Calculux v5.0. After performing simulations to obtain the fulfillment of the ISO standard, showed that the amount of light on a computer lab is 8 units (304 398 lux) should be  increased to 10 pieces with the same kind of light, so that it can reach the standards set, which is equal to 500 lux.

Abstract

The reasons to shift the generation system from conventional fuel oil generating system to clean energy sources are now based on the increase of fuel cost, climate change and environmental issues in reducing the greenhouse gas emission and also pollution. Wind is one of the renewable energy that has many advantages and the level of the penetration has increased now. Despite the abundance amount of wind, the fluctuation and the intermittent make wind generation system can affect the reliability of the power system. One of the solutions to the problems above is the use of electrical energy storage system. Power that stored in the electrical energy storage system can be used later when the wind is not strong enough to generate electric power. This research intends to investigate more on li-ion battery as one of the promising means in enhancing the reliability of power system when connecting to wind generation system in order to enhance the power system reliability. This work should contribute significantly in wind energy generation stability improvement with the storage system and there will be an advantage in battery storage system application. The results show the stability improvement of the simulation system connected to the wind generation with the battery.

Abstract

Current electricity load forecasting sectoral become simpler and easier to implement. However, these conditions are faced with a situation where the results of macro forecasts still so do not show the load centers on a smaller area (grid) and resulted in no distribution substation location can be determined with certainty. In addition, the accuracy would tend to bias in a region that has limited data and the area of land use change that fast. Therefore, in this paper will outline the problem by conducting research on the electric load forecasting smaller area. This research method is to use clustering techniques to overcome the problem of the large volume of arithmetic processes. Expected benefits of this research will be able to provide information determining the magnitude of the load, when it happens and where is the location of the burden of a higher level of accuracy, making it suitable to be used for basic planning of power distribution network development. The results showed that the processing of the correlation matrix between variables with clustering techniques gained 4 cluster of 107 villages located in Kebayoran AJ. Then the average growth of electricity demand per year (2007-2016) per sector: 6:38% (Estate: 6.4%; Industry: 6.2%; Business: 6.4%, and the social: 6.0%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the classification of disease models based on the data stack of medical records, using one of the methods in the data mining algorithm C4.5. To achieve the research goal is then selected four attributes appropriate medical records consisting of attributes Diagnosis of disease based on the International Classification of Diseases-10th (ICD-10), Gender, patient age, Month patient admission to the hospital. The results show that there are 5 types of disease classification are A00-B99, I00-I99, J00-J99, O00-O99 and Z00-Z99. A00-B99 disease generally affects men with young and adult age categories, women with older age category, the category of infants and children only occurred in January, March, April May. I0-I99 disease generally affects men with older age category. J00-J99 diseases commonly suffered by men with age categories of infants and children in November. O00-O99 illnesses commonly suffered by women with young and adult age categories. Z00-Z99 disease usually affects infants and children in February, June, July, August, September, October, December, whereas in November suffered by infants and children with the female gender. C4.5 algorithm generates a classification less than the maximum in the medical records for the number of classes or class label purposes very much and the percentage of data that is read is less than 50%. Classification of diseases produced only 5 classes of 21 overall class by international disease code.

Abstract

Perkembangan scada berkembang sangat pesat dan menyediakan fitur yang lengkap, sehingga dapat menunjukkan parameter yang hampir sama dengan kondisi yang ada di lapangan. Software ini dapat digunakan untuk keperluan di berbagai bidang, seperti pengontrolan dan monitoring sistem lampu lalu lintas di persimpangan jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesaian dan mensimulasikan sistem lampu lalu lintas pada jalur simpang empat menggunakan software cx programmer dan cx designer, sehingga akan mempermudah pengontrolan dan pemantauan sistem lampu lalu lintas di jalur simpang empat. Pengaturan penyalaan lampu pada sistem lampu lalu lintas ini didasarkan pada tingkat kepadatan yang melewati persimpangan  jalan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa, desain sistem lampu merah pada penelitian ini telah dapat bekerja seperti yang diinginkan yaitu, PLC telah dapat merespon dan mengikuti semua perintah yang diberikan oleh Human Machine Interface (HMI) yang telah didesain sebelumnya. Dengan demikian maka, desain HMI sistem lampu merah dalam penelitian ini telah siap untuk diimplementasikan secara realtime.

Abstract

Proses penetasan telur yang biasa dilakukan secara manual dan konvensional memang telah baik dan tepat. Hanya saja dalam proses penetasan tersebut, mesin-mesin yang bekerja secara konvensional itu selalu membutuhkan tenaga manusia. Misalnya untuk mengontrol temperatur masih dibutuhkan tenaga manusia untuk menghidupkan atau memadamkan lampu, memutar wadah telur, mengontrol kipas dan membuka atau menutup pintu mesin penetas. Semua hal itu dilakukan untuk menjaga agar lingkungan penetasan stabil sehingga proses penetasan dapat sukses. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendesain prototipe mesin penetas telur yang dapat bekerja secara otomatis, berbasis ATMega8535 dan sensor SHT11. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa SHT11 dapat melakukan penginderaan temperature maupun kelembaban udara dengan sangat baik sehingga mikrokontroler dapat bekerja baik untuk koordinasi pengontrolan buka atau tutup pintu, menghidupkan atau memadamkan lampu dan lain sebagainya untuk menjaga agar proses penetasan berlangsung dengan sukses.
