Abstract

This study aims to examine the curriculum model, curriculum development, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of curriculum development in TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1. The method used is phenomenology with a qualitative data analysis approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed descriptively through the process of transcription, coding, categorization, description, and interpretation. The instrument used in this research was an interview sheet submitted to the Head of TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 to obtain valid data. The results of this study reveal that TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 uses a curriculum model compiled by the LPQ MTA Center, whose material is based on MTA teachings that refer to the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, and is adapted to the conditions that exist at TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1. TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 has developed by continuing to innovate in learning, such as the use of the classical Iqra' method for efficiency. In TPQ learning is focused on achieving key competencies such as reading, writing, memorizing the Qur'an, understanding worship, and morals.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning motivation in the subject of Al-Qur’an Hadith through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) in Grade IV at MIN 11 Aceh Tenggara. The background of this research is the low level of student motivation, which affects their lack of active participation and enthusiasm in learning. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, referring to the Arikunto model, which includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and learning motivation questionnaires. The results show an increase in students' learning motivation after the implementation of the NHT model. The average motivation score increased from 61.35 in the first cycle to 83.1 in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the NHT model is effective in enhancing student engagement, clarifying learning procedures, and creating an enjoyable and participatory learning environment. Therefore, the application of the NHT model can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance students' motivation to learn, particularly in religious subjects such as Al-Qur’an Hadist.

Abstract

The Arabic textbook test for class XII published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs uses a pragmatic approach, but there are still questions that are at the MOTS level and less diverse in the variety of assessment forms, so it is not optimal in developing students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyse and develop innovative pragmatic approach tests in class XII Arabic textbooks published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs that are HOTS. This research is a library research. The results of this study show that some pragmatic tests in class XII Arabic textbooks have adopted the HOTS approach, especially in test types such as dictation, writing, storytelling, and interviews. However, it was also found that some tests were still at the MOTS level. This research provides innovations in HOTS-based pragmatics test instruments that are more varied, including dictation, translation, paraphrasing, cloze, and question and answer tests with detailed explanations of their cognitive implementation to improve Arabic language assessment.

Abstract

Negeri Lawe Sekerah, Aceh Tenggara, in performing the practice of Islamic prayer. This issue highlights the need for innovative learning approaches that address students’ visual and procedural learning needs. The objective of this study was to improve students’ prayer practice skills through the use of audio-visual media. This research employed a classroom action research design based on the Kemmis & Taggart model, which included two cycles with four phases: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through observation sheets and documentation. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ abilities, with the average score increasing from 63.7 in the pre-action stage to 73.19 in Cycle I, and further to 85.01 in Cycle II. These results confirm that the integration of audio-visual media effectively enhances students' performance in both the movements and recitations of prayer. It can be concluded that audio-visual media serve as a pedagogically relevant and empirically proven solution to improve the quality of Islamic religious learning, particularly in practical prayer instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Ecology-Based Islamic Education and its leading indicators at SMP At-Tin UMP Margasari, emphasizing the Islamic concept of human responsibility as a caliph on earth. Using a qualitative case study approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with the principal and students to explore integrating Islamic values into ecological education. Data were analyzed using NVivo software to facilitate coding and grouping of themes, including "Integration of Islamic and Ecological Education," "Ecological Activities in the Curriculum," and "Impact on Student Behavior." The findings indicate that ecological practices implemented in the curriculum increase environmental awareness as part of religious obligations, which impacts students' daily behaviors such as waste management and energy saving. Practical activities such as Green Schools and agricultural projects also strengthen students' understanding of sustainability principles. This study provides practical insights for schools seeking to integrate ecological awareness with religious values, supporting sustainable environmental practices as part of Islamic education. Further studies are recommended to expand the sample size and use longitudinal methods to assess the long-term impact on student behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the values of Islamic education contained in the book Tarbiyatul Abna by Syaikh Musthofa Al-Adawi and its relevance in children's education in the modern era. This research uses the library research method, by analyzing the text of the book Tarbiyatul Abna and various related literary sources that support understanding of Islamic education. The main focus of this research is on three aspects of education taught by Shaykh Musthofa Al-Adawi, namely education on faith, worship, and morals. The research results show that the values of Islamic education in Tarbiyatul Abna are very relevant to be applied in children's education today. Faith education that emphasizes monotheism provides a solid spiritual foundation amidst the challenges of globalization. Worship education, such as prayer, fasting, and reading the Koran, helps children maintain discipline and balance between the worldly and the spiritual. Moral education, which teaches honesty, patience and compassion, is very important for forming good moral character. Methods such as example, habituation and wise advice are also effective in the digital era. Overall, the values in Tarbiyatul Abna can be a guide for forming a generation of Muslims who have noble character and are ready to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many phenomena regarding curriculum problems in Indonesia which are currently changing, but are not balanced by increasing changes in the world of education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning at SMPN 6, South Tangerang City. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interview and documentation methods. Informants in this study were taken from people who understand the implementation of the Independent Curriculum such as: principals, curriculum representatives, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and class VII students. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles & Huberman data analysis technique, namely data collection, data presentation, reduction and conclusions. The findings in this study indicate that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning at SMPN 6, South Tangerang City shows an increase in creativity and love for the country for students even though there are obstacles and challenges. Teachers apply a structured approach with differentiated, project-based, and cooperative learning, as well as the use of varied learning models, such as Cooperative Learning and Project-Based Learning, supported by interactive teaching media. Meanwhile, the obstacles in its implementation are the large amount of time spent by teachers and students, and students feel burdened by the cost of making the project.

Abstract

As technology evolves through the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and the 5.0 Era, higher education institutions must adapt to remain relevant. Tracer Studies are crucial for tracking alumni career paths and assessing the effectiveness of academic programs, ensuring that curricula align with industry needs. Without regular updates based on alumni data, graduates may experience skills mismatches, which can negatively impact employability and hinder institutional growth, leading to decreased enrolment, financial difficulties, and challenges in attracting faculty. UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, with over 55,000 graduates, faces challenges due to the lack of a reliable alumni database. Fragmented data on alumni career paths hinders effective engagement and development. Tracer Studies can address this by providing valuable insights into alumni outcomes and identifying gaps in curricula. This study is also aligned with Indonesia’s Eight Key Performance Indicators, focusing on alumni employability and professional success. For UIN Ar-Raniry, it is critical that alumni qualifications meet the evolving demands of the job market, especially in science-related fields. Additionally, Tracer Studies help institutions meet accreditation requirements from Indonesia's National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, ensuring academic programs remain relevant and effective. To address these issues, from January to June 2024, UIN conducted a tracer study on alumni from 2021, 2022, and 2023 in Aceh Besar, Banda Aceh, and Sabang. Data were collected through online questionnaires, blended interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD). The study found that out of 460 respondents, 102 alumni are employed, with 12 being entrepreneurs. Notably, 76% found jobs within six months, although 33.5% were not actively seeking employment. Alumni users expressed high satisfaction with alumni leadership skills and integrity, despite challenges like limited job openings and networking opportunities. Ultimately, this study is essential for evaluating how well institutions meet labor market demands, refining curricula, and strengthening alumni relations. By conducting regular tracer studies, UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh can ensure its graduates are equipped with the necessary skills, improve alumni engagement, and contribute more effectively to regional and national development.

Abstract

This research study aims to analyze the management of the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) coordinator teacher in forming religious character and discipline of students at the eLKISI Modern Islamic Boarding School. The background of this study is the challenge of character education in Indonesia, where many young generations experience a decline in religious and discipline values due to the influence of juvenile delinquency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study highlights the implementation of four POAC management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Planning is done by preparing a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) that integrates religious and discipline values. Organizing involves dividing tasks between teachers and coordinators to ensure effective implementation. Learning methods such as lectures, discussions, and projects based on historical values are applied contextually to instill student character. Supervision through routine evaluations ensures the success of learning. The results of the study indicate that the structured management of the education coordinator teacher is able to improve the formation of religious and disciplined character, despite challenges such as differences in student understanding and time constraints.
