Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the North Sumatra Teaching Movement in building the character of children in Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, as well as aspects of program activities, implementation, supporting factors and constraints faced.    The method used in this research is a qualitative research method and the type of research is field research. Data collection techniques use triangulation techniques, namely observation, interviews and document studies. In analyzing the data, the Miles and Huberman technique was used which consisted of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Results pThe research in this thesis shows that the programs carried out in the Sumut Teaching Movement activities have five categories, namely education, social, religion, economy, and environment. In the education category there are disaster classes, inspiration, cultural arts, creativity, reading stops, and role plays. In the social category there are healthy afternoon classes, social services, and healthy clean living. Furthermore, in the religion category there are classes on reciting the Koran, praying five times a day, and attending recitations. Then in the economic category there is a creative economy class, while in the environmental category there are the eco brik program and waste cruising. The implementation of the program is carried out continuously and added special implementation for 18 days. The supporting factors for this movement are the support from the government, community, community leaders, and formal institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the learning of the Qur'an in TASQIF activities at the Imtiyaz Insan Mulia Foundation in Probolinggo City, which aims to describe and analyze the implementation of learning the Qur'an and the application of the Jibril method in TASQIF activities at the Imtiyaz Insan Mulia Foundation in Probolinggo City. This research method applies a qualitative approach with a case study research type. To collect the required data, the author uses several techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation related to learning the Qur'an. Data analysis was conducted using an exploratory descriptive approach, including data reduction, display, and verification. The results of this study state that (1) The implementation of Al-Qur'an learning in TASQIF activities at the Imtiyaz Insan Mulia Foundation in Probolinggo City only focuses on learning to read the Al-Qur'an (tahsin) according to its makhraj and tajwid without adding other content. The learning concept places more emphasis on individual teaching (ta'lim munfaridi), (2) In TASQIF activities, teachers apply the Jibril method with the talqin-taqlid (imitation) technique. This method is centered on the teacher (teacher center).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the spiritual quotient development of Muhammadiyah University of Malang students through the “Kuliah Ahad Subuh” program and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the spiritual quotient of Muhammadiyah University of Malang students through this program using theories according to Danah Zohar and Ian Marshall. This research uses a qualitative approach with a study case type of research. The research subjects were students from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang who came from 7 faculties, namely FISIP, FKIP, Law, Engineering, FPP, FEB and Psychology. Data collection methods are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses interactive data  analysis by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The research results showed that students' responses to the “Kuliah Ahad Subuh” program in developing spiritual quotient at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang were in the form of three aspects, namely first self-reflection, second worship, third time discipline and a small number of informants had less response than others in developing spiritual quotient. Supporting factors for developing the spiritual quotient are worship, material things and relationships. Meanwhile, the factors inhibiting the development of the spiritual quotient are provisions on time allocation and self-awareness.

Abstract

The development of technology has changed the educational landscape significantly, demanding innovation in the learning process. However, the use of technology, such as interactive learning media, in the learning process remains suboptimal, particularly at the elementary school/Islamic elementary school level. Many teachers still rely on conventional methods and textbooks, which are less likely to stimulate students' interest in learning. As a result, students often struggle to understand abstract concepts like the food chain. The aim of this study was to create interactive learning materials that could enhance science education on the food chain topic for fifth-grade students in elementary schools and Islamic elementary schools. This study employs a research and development (R&D) approach, utilizing the ADDIE stages. The study results showed that the interactive learning media developed can facilitate fifth-grade students at Al Ghaffaar Islamic Elementary School in understanding the concept of science, especially regarding the food chain. The validity of the developed media supports this, with an average percentage of 93.75% classifying it as highly valid. The positive response of teachers and students to this media, as well as the results of the recapitulation of the media's practicality based on student questionnaire data, which obtained a percentage of 86%, show that the media is very practical to use and is able to attract interest in learning and involve students in the learning process. The developed media has demonstrated efficacy in enhancing student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the high average N-Gain of 0.71. The research's results suggest that creating interactive media is an effective way to enhance learning quality, particularly for abstract subjects like food chains. Interactive learning media can also be a solution to overcome the limitations of conventional methods.

Abstract

This research arises from the current low quality of education. Therefore, these studies are strategically focused on improving the quality of higher education institutions. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach based at Dharmawangsa University. Data collection includes research planning, data collection, data analysis, interpretation and case development, case selection, report preparation, validation, and application of findings. The research findings show that at Dharmawangsa University, improving the university’s quality requires planning that emphasizes aspects such as the university's vision, mission, and goals articulated in the university's milestones, and determining the direction and policies of the university itself. Its implementation requires the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures, Terms of Reference, Budget Plans, and Activity Plans that prioritize the principles of participation, transparency, and accountability. In addition, both internal and external quality assurance of higher education is also very important, encompassing strategies, goals, quality standards, procedures, mechanisms, human resources, activities, information systems, and evaluations. The presence of the Quality Assurance Body is intended to support the creation of an effective internal control system within the university environment.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the development of Islamic Religious Education with an environmental perspective that is appropriate, practical and effective for use as teaching material. The research method used is development research with the 4-D (Define, Design, Develop dan Dessimination). The subjects in this research were class IX students at SMPS Generasi Bangsa Medan. Data collection instruments are observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The results of the research show: (1) the development of teaching materials is first carried out by performance analysis and needs analysis, then carrying out the design stage, (2) the feasibility of teaching materials is carried out by validation with an average score the overall percentage is 78.7%, valid category, (3) the practicality of the module obtained an overall average percentage score of 85.2%, very practical category, and (4) the effectiveness of teaching materials in improving student learning outcomes obtained a normalized gain score ( N-Gain) 0.55, which is in the effective category.

Abstract

This research describes the management of madrasah principals in overcoming teacher problems or problems in one of the madrasahs located on one of the remote islands in the Sapeken sub-district, Sumenep Regency. Some of the roles of madrasah heads are to improve teacher qualifications by helping find ways for alumni to continue to higher education. Another role of the school principal is that the principal helps manage School Operational Assistance funds for charitable efforts so that teacher welfare remains guaranteed. Apart from that, as a school manager and administrator, the principal provides online-based training so that it remains accessible to teachers. This research is a type of case study research or field research using a qualitative approach. This research data was collected through several stages including observation, interviews and documentation. This research aims to collect and describe data and then critically analyze the problematic problems of madrasa teachers in remote islands to find solutions to research problems.

Abstract

Seorang pendidik dalam islam juga telah dijamin oleh Allah swt untuk diangkat derajatnya berdasarkan firman Allah dalam Q.S Al- Mujadillah ayat 11. Namun pada kenyataannya pendidikan saat ini hanya dibebankan kepada guru. Pada dasarnya pendidik bukan hanya sekedar guru, ustadz, muddaris atau murabbi, akan tetapi orang tua, sekolah, masyarakat dan pemerintah pun menjadi kategori sebagai pendidik. Karena sebuah keberhasilan siswa dapat di tinjau dari keempat faktor tersebut. Dalam islam seorang pendidik atau guru memiliki hak dan kewajiban sebagaimana mestinya seorang guru yang melakukan pekerjaan dengan baik. Pada penelitian ini hak dan kewajiban guru akan ditafsirkan melalui Q.S. Luqman ayat 13 – 19. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal dan karya ilmiah. Tujuan dari metode penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hak dan kewajiban guru menurut perspektif Q.S Luqman ayat 13-19. Guru harus mendapatkan haknya untuk di hormati dihargai dan ditaati oleh peserta didiknya. Kewajiban guru sebagai seorang pendidik untuk mendidik dengan baik sesuai dengan yang diperintahkan Allah swt serta menjadi teladan untuk peserta didiknya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the independent curriculum in junior high schools in Deli Serdang Regency, supporting factors and obstacles that occur in schools. The research method used is mix method research with sequential explanatory designs. Data collection through documentation, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The collected data was analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of this study indicate that the independent curriculum has been implemented effectively in junior high schools in Deli Serdang Regency, as the results of the questionnaire obtained a very good category, starting from the principal (percentage 84.44%), teachers (percentage 83.92%), and students (percentage 81.95%). Furthermore, this level of effectiveness is reviewed from the optimization of implementation using a transformative learning approach, flexible learning procedures, problem solving through interdisciplinary, meaningful learning, and active student involvement. Supporting factors for the high level of effectiveness of the implementation of the independent curriculum are the high commitment of the school community, learning innovation and teacher creativity, leadership support, and adequate learning facilities. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced are in the form of teachers' abilities in implementing IKM being uneven and there are still teachers who are not yet able to apply sophisticated technology.

Abstract

Self-harm is a form of behavior carried out by individuals to overcome emotional pain by injuring themselves, carried out intentionally and consciously but charged with suicidal intent. This research aims to determine the factors that cause self-harm behavior in students. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study type. The collection techniques used were interviews and documentation (voice recordings). The respondents in this study consisted of two 8th grade teenage girls from MTs schools. Muallimin UNIVA Medan who uses the pseudonyms Sari and Lina. One of them is that Lina has engaged in self-harm behavior. The research results show that the factors that cause self-harm are self-harm such as coping with stress, emotional dysregulation, loneliness, social support, parenting patterns and family problems. A comparison between the two respondents showed that respondent Lina showed significantly negative experiences with the factors causing self-harm compared to respondent Sari. Meanwhile, Sari respondents viewed the factors that cause self-harm more positively, this was based on the high level of attention and social support they received from their families.
