Abstract

Dewasa ini industri kelapa sawit berperan besar memenuhi permintaan pasar global minyak nabati. Meningkatnya permintaan pasar global disertai dengan bertambahnya populasi dunia berdampak pada meningkatnya produktivitas minyak kelapa sawit dan menambah pendapatan bisnis. Namun demikian, peningkatan produktivitas tanpa memperhatikan kondisi di luar perusahaan menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap keberlanjutan. Kesadaran akan pembangunan berkelanjutan semakin menguat, sehingga perusahaan akan memperhatikan tiga aspek, yaitu ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan secara berimbang. Untuk dapat mengusahakannya, tulisan ini melakukan “review” terhadap artikel-artikel yang relevan dengan menggunakan kata kunci pencarian, “Sustainable Palm Oil Industry” di “Publish of Perish (POP)” dan memilih artikel terindeks Google Scholar atau Scopus atau Crossref yang terbit tahun 2019-2023. Setelah dilakukan sortir dengan ketentuan artikel disitasi minimal 20 kali, “full” teks, dan pembahasan sesuai dengan kata kunci pencarian, maka diperoleh 17 artikel relevan. Berdasarkan “review” terhadap 17 artikel diketahui usaha pembangunan berkelanjutan di industri kelapa sawit memerlukan terutama kesadaran perusahaan tentang pentingnya keberlanjutan. Kesadaran ini harus diwujudnyatakan dalam praktik dan perlu adanya komitmen serta konsistensi perusahaan untuk mengusahakannya. Aspek intervensi hukum negara juga memainkan peran penting dalam membantu perusahaan agar memiliki kesadaran akan keberlanjutan dan mewajibkan perusahaan melaksanakannya. [Sustainability of The Palm Oil Industry: Literature Review] Nowadays, the palm oil industry has a major role to fulfill the global market demand of vegetable oil. The increasing global market demand which is coupled with the rising world population impacted the increasing productivity of palm oil and business profit. However, increasing productivity without considering conditions outside the company raises concerns of sustainability. Concerns of sustainability development is increasing, so companies should pay attention to the three aspects in a balanced manner, they are economic, social and environmental. In order to attain it, this paper conducted a review of relevant articles using the search keyword, “Sustainable Palm Oil Industry” in “Publish of Perish (POP)” and selecting Google Scholar or Scopus or Crossref indexed articles which were published in 2019-2023. After sorting with the provisions of articles cited at least 20 times, full text, and the discussion in accordance with search keywords, 17 relevant articles were obtained. Based on the review of 17 articles, it is known that to implement sustainable development in the palm oil industry requires the company awareness about the importance of sustainability. The awareness must be realised in the practice and there is needed a company’s commitment and consistency on working towards it. The legal intervention aspect of the state also plays an important role in helping companies to realise the important of sustainability and obliging companies to implement it.Keywords: economic; environment; social; sustainability; sustainable development

Abstract

Aktivitas pertanian di Indonesia sebagian besar masih dikerjakan tanpa alat bantu, sehingga memperlambat produktivitas serta memicu risiko musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat bantu pemanenan sayuran bagi petani di daerah Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian diawali dengan identifikasi keluhan tubuh melalui Survei Keluhan Otot dari Perhimpunan Ergonomi Indonesia (PEI) dan Kuesioner Gangguan Otot Rangka (GOTRAK) dari Badan Standardisasi Nasional. Perancangan produk dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis pengguna atau User Centered Design (UCD) dengan identifikasi kebutuhan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Kemudian, dilakukan pengembangan alternatif konsep rancangan melalui design workshop dan pemilihan konsep terbaik melalui concept scoring yang difinalisasikan melalui SCAMPER. Rancangan final diwujudkan menjadi prototipe fisik dan dievaluasi melalui usability testing. Aktivitas yang diamati adalah pemanenan sayur selada dengan skor keluhan sebesar 14 (berbahaya). Tahapan penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan identifikasi kebutuhan yang menghasilkan 9 pernyataan kebutuhan. Kemudian, dilakukan design workshop berdasarkan daftar kebutuhan yang menghasilkan 3 alternatif konsep. Terpilih 1 konsep dengan skor 3,838 dan difinalisasikan menjadi 2 produk, yaitu alat untuk memanen selada dan wadah untuk mengeringkannya. Prototipe alat panen selada diuji coba pada petani secara langsung dan diperoleh skor GOTRAK menjadi 2 (kategori aman) dengan skor rata-rata efektivitas sebesar 92,86%. Dengan demikian, rancangan alat bantu telah dinilai baik karena sudah mampu mengurangi keluhan MSDs petani dari nilai kategori berbahaya menjadi. Abstract [Design of Ergonomic Harvesting Tools To Reduce MSDs Risk For Vegetable Farmers In West Bandung District] Agricultural activities in Indonesia are still done without assistive tools, causing slower productivity and triggering the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This study aims to design assistive tools for one of the agricultural sectors, that’s vegetable farmers in Bandung Barat Regency. The study began with identification of body complaints using Muscle Disorders Survey from the Perhimpunan Ergonomi Indonesia (PEI) and the Skeletal Muscle Disorder Questionnaire (GOTRAK) from the Badan Standardisasi Nasional. The design process used User Centered Design (UCD) while needs identification used interviews and observations. Then, the development of alternative concepts was gained through design workshops. From this, the best concepts are selected through concept scoring and finalized through SCAMPER. The final design is implemented into a physical prototype and evaluated through usability testing. The activity observed was lettuce harvesting with a complaint score of 14 (dangerous). The research stage began with identifying needs which resulted in 9 needs statements. Then, a design workshop was conducted based on the list of needs that resulted in 3 alternative concepts. One concept was selected with a score of 3,838 and finalized into 2 products, the first harvesting tool to pull out lettuce and a container to dry it. The prototype was tested directly on farmers, the GOTRAK survey results obtained a score of 2 (safe category) with an average product effectiveness score of 92.86%. Abstract

Ekonomi gig merupakan fenomena dalam bidang pekerjaan baru yang muncul akibat dorongan tren digitalisasi. Orang yang melakukan pekerjaan berbasis gig ekonomi disebut sebagai gig worker. Dalam persaingan yang terjadi di dunia bisnis, fleksibilitas memiliki peran yang penting bagi keberlangsungan kinerja bisnis. Kondisi permintaan pasar yang tidak tetap dan beragam menyebabkan perusahaan harus siap dengan respons fleksibel sebagai strategi operasi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari dan menjelaskan konsep fleksibilitas dalam dan pengaruhnya pada kinerja perusahaan jasa. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Literature Review (LR). Hasil dari LR menunjukkan bahwa fleksibilitas yang ada dalam gig worker berpotensi dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Ekonomi gig memiliki banyak peluang untuk gig worker, seperti lingkungan kerja yang fleksibel, bekerja sesuai dengan minat, dan dapat menjangkau pekerjaan secara global. Abstract[Title: The Concept of Flexibility in the Gig Worker and Its Impact on Service Company Performance: Literature Review] The gig economy is a phenomenon in a new field of work that has arisen due to the push of the digitalization trend. People who do work based on the gig economy are referred to as gig workers. In the competition that occurs in the business world, flexibility has an important role for the continuity of business performance. Market demand conditions that are not fixed and varied cause companies to be prepared with a flexible response as their operating strategy. This study aims to design the concept of internal flexibility and its effect on the performance of service companies. The methodology used in this research is Literature Review (LR). The results of the LR show that the flexibility that exists in the gig worker has the potential to improve company performance. Abstract

TAPERA (Tabungan Perumahan Rakyat) has generated considerable debate in Indonesia. Intended to assist low-income communities with affordable housing, the program has faced criticism due to policy inconsistencies and mandatory monthly contributions, which some argue impose significant financial burdens on participants. Concerns about the transparency and accountability of fund management further complicate its reception. This study utilizes sentiment analysis with the TextBlob library within Google Colab to evaluate public opinions on TAPERA. The research involved collecting data from YouTube comments via the API, followed by data preprocessing through six stages: Data Cleaning, Stopword Removal, Tokenization, Normalization, Stemming, and Translation. Sentiments were then analyzed using TextBlob, with the final dataset comprising 2,228 comments. The sentiment analysis revealed that 76% of the comments were negative, 23% positive, and 1% neutral. The predominance of negative sentiment indicates widespread dissatisfaction, suggesting issues with TAPERA’s effectiveness, coverage, and implementation. Negative feedback reflects broader concerns about transparency and communication. These findings highlight the need for continuous evaluation and transparent communication to enhance TAPERA’s effectiveness and address public concerns. Sentiment analysis proves to be a valuable tool for gauging public perception and guiding policy refinements, ensuring that the program aligns more closely with community needs and expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the ergonomic design of an infant incubator using the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) approach to improve the comfort and effectiveness of neonatal care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). An infant incubator is an essential device that provides a stable and controlled environment for premature infants or those with medical conditions requiring intensive care. Key issues examined include infant comfort in the incubator, accessibility and ease of use for healthcare professionals, and efficiency of the control system and interface. Current incubator designs often do not fully consider these ergonomic aspects, which can negatively impact clinical outcomes and the experience of neonatal care. This study will use the EFD method to identify ergonomic needs from the perspective of the infant and healthcare professionals. The research methods used will include evaluation of current incubator designs, data collection from potential users (including infants and healthcare professionals), and analysis to identify existing ergonomic issues. The results of this study recommend technical features such as accurate digital temperature sensors, hypoallergenic materials, visual and audio alarm systems, diffusers for air ventilation, adjustable lighting, HEPA filters to maintain air quality, and ergonomic and easily accessible incubator dimension designs.

Abstract

The overuse of plastic straws has led to a considerable volume of plastic waste, posing a serious threat to the environment. This accumulation of plastic waste not only causes significant environmental pollution but also raises health concerns for both humans and animals. As an eco-friendly alternative to plastic straws, researchers have turned to environmentally friendly straws. To explore the factors influencing Generation Z's (Gen Z) adoption of these eco-friendly straws, this study utilizes the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) while also incorporating environmental awareness and knowledge as additional determinants. Both quantitative using Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) and qualitative using thematic analysis methods are employed for comprehensive analysis. The results indicate that attitudes towards behaviour, perceived behavioural control, environmental awareness, and environmental knowledge all play pivotal roles in influencing the intensity of Gen Z's usage of environmentally friendly straws.

Abstract

Penyakit kardiovaskular merupakan penyebab utama kematian di dunia, termasuk Indonesia, dengan angka kematian mencapai 650.000 per tahun. Ketersediaan obat yang tepat waktu menjadi faktor krusial dalam penanganan penyakit ini. Namun, banyak rumah sakit di Jakarta mengalami keterlambatan dalam pengadaan obat Kardiovaskular. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan keterlambatan tersebut, antara lain proses birokrasi yang kompleks, kurangnya koordinasi antar pihak terkait, dan keterbatasan stok dari distributor. Hasil penelitian di salah satu rumah sakit swasta di Jakarta menunjukkan bahwa kekosongan stok di distributor menjadi penyebab utama keterlambatan dengan persentase sebesar 35%. Selain itu, kesalahan dalam pemilihan cabang distributor dan pemesanan ganda juga berkontribusi. Keterlambatan ini berdampak negatif terhadap kualitas layanan kesehatan dan keselamatan pasien, karena ketersediaan obat yang tidak memadai dapat menurunkan efektivitas pengobatan. Untuk itu, direkomendasikan  usulan strategi pencegahan dalam penanganan keterlambatan pengadaan obat dengan pendekatan FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) dari hasil diagram fishbone penyusunan strategi pencegahan didasarkan pada tingkat prioritas risiko, sehingga intervensi difokuskan pada faktor penyebab yang memiliki dampak paling signifikan dan tingkat kemungkinan kejadian yang tertinggi.Abstract[Analysis of Delay in Procurement Process of Cardiovascular Drug in Private Hospitals in Jakarta] Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, including Indonesia, with a death rate of 650,000 per year. The timely availability of drugs is a crucial factor in the treatment of this disease. However, many hospitals in Jakarta experience delays in procuring cardiovascular drugs. This study aims to identify factors that cause these delays, including complex bureaucratic processes, lack of coordination between related parties, and limited stock from distributors. The study conducted at a private hospital in Jakarta revealed that stock vacancies at distributors accounted for 35% of the delays. Furthermore, errors in the selection of distributor branches and double ordering also played a significant role in the delays. These delays have a negative impact on the quality of health services and patient safety, as inadequate drug availability can reduce the effectiveness of treatment. For this reason, it is recommended to propose a preventive strategy in handling delays in drug procurement using the FMEA (Failure Mode  and Effect Analysis) approach. From the results of the fishbone diagram, the preparation of preventive strategies is based on the level of risk priority, so that interventions are focused on the causal factors that have the most significant impact and the highest probability of occurrence.Keywords: cardiovascular disease; drug procurement delays; distributor; healthcare quality; inventory management

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di kawasan perkotaan seperti Kota Semarang menghadapi tantangan yang kompleks, terutama terkait peningkatan volume limbah dan efektivitas distribusi dari sumber ke tempat pemrosesan akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi budaya masyarakat dan proses pengolahan terhadap efektivitas rantai pasok pengelolaan sampah dengan pendekatan ergonomi. Pendekatan ergonomi dalam studi ini difokuskan pada perancangan sistem kerja petugas kebersihan yang efisien, penggunaan alat bantu ergonomis, dan desain tempat penampungan sementara (TPS) yang ramah pekerja. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 224 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda serta uji ANOVA dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa budaya masyarakat dan proses pengolahan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efektivitas rantai pasok pengelolaan sampah, dengan nilai signifikansi masing-masing sebesar 0,019 dan 0,000. Koefisien regresi sebesar 0,125 untuk X1 dan 0,523 untuk X2 menunjukkan bahwa proses pengolahan memiliki kontribusi dominan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi antara kesadaran sosial dan sistem kerja ergonomis dalam meningkatkan keberlanjutan pengelolaan sampah kota.  Abstract[The Influence of Community Culture, Waste Management Process and Waste Management Supply Chain in Semarang City] Waste management in urban areas such as Semarang City faces complex challenges, particularly related to increasing waste volumes and the effectiveness of distribution from sources to final processing sites. This study aims to analyze the contribution of community culture and waste processing to the effectiveness of the waste management supply chain using an ergonomic approach. The ergonomic approach in this research focuses on the design of efficient work systems for sanitation workers, the use of ergonomic support tools, and the development of worker-friendly temporary disposal facilities (TPS). Data were collected through a survey of 224 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression and ANOVA with the aid of IBM SPSS software. The results indicate that both community culture and waste processing have a significant influence on the effectiveness of the waste management supply chain, with significance values of 0.019 and 0.000, respectively. Regression coefficients of 0.125 for X1 and 0.523 for X2 show that waste processing has a more dominant contribution. These findings underscore the importance of integrating social awareness and ergonomic work systems to enhance the sustainability of urban waste management.Keywords: community culture; ergonomics; waste processing; waste management supply chain; SPSS

Abstract

Di era globalisasi, efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan menjadi kunci daya saing perusahaan. PT. XYZ, produsen obat tradisional, makanan, dan minuman, menghadapi tantangan akibat sistem persediaan yang tidak optimal, seperti ketiadaan safety stock dan reorder point, yang mengganggu produksi dan kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku di PT. XYZ dengan menerapkan metode Analisis ABC, peramalan, dan Economic Order Quantity. Metode penelitian melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka untuk memperoleh data mengenai kebutuhan bahan baku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kategori A yakni 20% dari total keseluruhan bahan baku yakni sebanyak 16 bahan baku dari 84 bahan baku di PT. XYZ, yang memerlukan perhatian lebih dalam pengelolaannya. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran data pada ARIMA dengan model tentatif dari ketiga model yang ada, yang terbaik adalah 0;1;1 karena memiliki nilai signifikan dengan nilai MSE, MAD, dan MAPE masing-masing secara berurutan yakni 123,179, 15,3, dan 1,645. Metode EOQ dan Analisis ABC terbukti efektif meningkatkan efisiensi persediaan. Dengan menerapkan metode EOQ, maka perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya persediaan sampai 41% pada bahan baku kategori A. Abstract[Raw Material Inventory Control Using ABC Analysis, Forecasting, and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Methods at PT. XYZ] In the era of globalization, the efficiency of inventory management is key to a company's competitiveness. PT XYZ, a manufacturer of traditional medicines, food, and beverages, faces challenges due to a non-optimal inventory system, such as the absence of safety stock and reorder points, which disrupts production and customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the management of raw material inventory at PT XYZ by applying the ABC Analysis, forecasting, and Economic Order Quantity methods. The research method involves observation, interviews, and literature studies to obtain data on raw material requirements. The results showed that category A, which is 20% of the total raw materials, namely 16 raw materials out of 84 raw materials at PT XYZ, requires more attention in their management. Based on the results of measuring data on ARIMA with a tentative model of the three existing models, the best is 0; 1; 1 because it has a significant value with MSE, MAD, and MAPE values of 123.179, 15.3, and 1.645 respectively. The EOQ method and ABC analysis have proven effective in improving inventory efficiency. Abstract

Manajemen risiko berperan penting untuk meminimalkan dampak risiko yang dihadapi oleh suatu perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuannya. Manajemen risiko yang komprehensif sangat diperlukan pada perusahaan manufaktur pembuatan panel listrik yang memiliki potensi risiko besar. Mengingat belum adanya analisis risiko di bidang ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menyusun pengelolaan risiko yang komprehensif berdasarkan aktivitas proses produksi panel listrik di sebuah studi kasus PT X dengan mengkombinasikan pendekatan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). FTA bersama dengan kerangka IDEF0 digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko, sementara FMEA digunakan untuk menilai risiko berdasarkan factor severity, occurance, dan detection. Penelitian ini menghasilkan identifikasi 192 risiko yang kemudian digolongkan menjadi 30% high risk, 69% medium risk, dan 1% low risk. Berdasarkan penentuan prioritas risiko dengan konsep Pareto, penelitian ini menyusun rekomendasi upaya penanganan risiko prioritas yang terdiri dari avoiding, mitigating, transferring, dan accepting risk. Kombinasi pendekatan FMEA, FTA, dan IDEF0 telah berhasil membantu proses analisis dan penyusunan pengelolaan risiko dengan lebih jelas dan komprehensif. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi landasan bagi perusahaan lain di industri sejenis untuk mengevaluasi, memperbaiki maupun menyusun pengelolaan risiko. Abstract[Risk Analysis and Management in the Electrical Panel Production Process Using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis Approaches] Risk management is important in minimizing the impact of risks a company faces in achieving its goals. Comprehensive risk management is essential for electrical panel manufacturing companies that have high potential risks. Given the absence of risk analysis in this field, this study aims to analyze and develop comprehensive risk management based on electrical panel production process activities in a case study of PT X by combining the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) approaches. FTA and the IDEF0 framework are used to identify risks, while FMEA is used to assess risks based on severity, occurrence, and detection factors. This study identified 192 risks, which were then classified into 30% high risk, 69% medium risk, and 1% low risk. Based on determining risk priorities with the Pareto concept, this study developed recommendations for priority risk management efforts including avoiding, mitigating, transferring, and accepting risk. The combination of FMEA, FTA, and IDEF0 approaches has succeeded in helping the process of analyzing and compiling risk management more clearly and comprehensively.
