The journal AL-ULUM (Islamic thought and Educational Journal) published an article on the theme of education, using the language of Indonesia or the United Kingdom that includes the study of literature, conceptual thinking and research results in the field of education. These journals give priority to studies related to Islamic thought and education from different perspectives. This journal serves as a means and medium of communication that is used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners to examine education and Islamic thought. This journal became the medium of exchange of ideas and research findings from various traditions of interacting learning scientifically.

Abstract

National development in the field of education is an effort to educate the life of the nation and develop Indonesian people as a whole, namely people who have faith and are devoted to God Almighty and virtuous character, have knowledge and skills, physical and spiritual health, a steady and independent personality, and a sense of responsibility social and national responsibility based on the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. The purpose of PAI in schools / madrasah is in an effort to form morals and morality and to awaken religious attitudes of students. The community assesses the role and function of Islamic religious education in schools is seen as not contributing towards it, even further cornering that Islamic religious education is seen as not succeeding in achieving the expected goals of Islamic religious education, as evidenced by the many cases of delinquency in various forms of children. As a result, the role and effectiveness of Islamic religious education in schools is questioned, with an understanding that if Islamic religious education in schools is carried out properly, then people's lives will be better.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, education is one of the obligations that must be taken by personal and social that can not be negotiable. Because basically education is a social process that aims to develop the potential of human life in order to face the demands of the age in the future, along with the development and changing times that are increasingly shifting. Educational management is the study of how to organize resources to achieve goals that have been set productively and how to create a good atmosphere for people who participate in achieving agreed goals. In relation to the development of education, the principal has a very important role and task. This is because the principal as a leader is one of the factors that drives the progress of the world of education. This means that school principals are required to have the ability to carry out educational innovations that are no longer relevant to current conditions for the achievement of national and state development.

Abstract

The ability to read al-Qur'an especially for students in public schools (SMP) is very important in improving learning achievement in the field of Islamic education. Said to be important because al-Qur'an as one of the scope of Islamic religious education becomes the basic basis of Islamic religious education material. Departing from these problems, the problem to be answered in this research is how the ability and urgency of students in reading the Qur'an at SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan, in order to be able to improve the achievements of Islamic religious education. This study aims to determine the ability of students in reading the Qur'an at SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan in order to improve the achievements of Islamic religious education students at SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan. From the results of research conducted it turns out that the ability of students of SMP Negeri 7 Pamekasan in reading the Qur'an is good enough.

Abstract

Teenagers are the people to come. Can be predicted that the picture of adolescents now is a reflection of society to come, both the bad shape and composition of society, moral and intellectual structure, in the appreciation of religious knowledge, national awareness, and the degree of advancement in behavior and personality among future communities depends on adolescents now, and the hope for the future lies with his sons and daughters, so that almost everyone wishes that their sons and daughters will become useful people.

Abstract

Pesantren is an Islamic educational institution that has advantages both in terms of scientific traditions as well as the transmission and intensity of Muslims. The swift current of globalization has threatened the existence of pesantren, so that the idea of modernization has arisen in the environment of pesantren in order to answer the challenges of the need for social transformation. However, many people worry about the modernization of pesantren-oriented ideas which can now influence the identity and main functions of pesantren.

Abstract

Pangangan reform has brought many impacts and changes from the education system that are centralized to decentralized, each of which will have far-reaching consequences in the administration of national education. In general, there are several aspects of the political impact of reform on Islamic education, including 1) Law No. 20/2003 also states that Islamic Boarding Schools, Ma'had Ali, Roudlotul Atfal and majlis taklim are also included in the National education system. 2) The birth of a policy of increasing the budget by 20% from the state budget and regional budget, 3) There is a government policy that requires madrasa as a public school characterized by religion, 4) The existence of Islamic education in Indonesia from the Reformation era until now faces various kinds of problems including : 1) The use of classical Islamic thought, 2) The existence of a conceptual crisis or the limitations of knowledge within the Islamic education system itself, 3) The institutional crisis is caused by a dichotomy between educational institutions that emphasizes one aspect of the existing sciences, whether religious sciences or general sciences.

Abstract

The teacher is one component in the learning process. The teacher has a very important role in determining the quality of learning. Therefore, the teacher must think about and plan for improving the quality of education in every learning activity because the teacher is the key that will determine whether or not educational goals are achieved. For that quality education must be accompanied by qualified teachers so that if we expect quality education, but without improving the quality of teachers it is an illusion. With regard to the context of the above research, the author has conducted research on the pedagogical competence of teachers in fiqh learning in MAN II pamekasan. The research focus was set: (1) What is the teacher's pedagogical competence in understanding educational insights (2) What is the teacher's competence in understanding students (3)What is the pedagogical competence of the teacher in planning fiqh learning (4) What is the pedagogical competence of the teacher in the process of fiqh learning (5) What is the pedagogic competence of the teacher in utilizing fiqh learning technology (6) What is the teacher's pedagogical competence in evaluating results Jurisprudence learning in MAN II Pamekasan.

Abstract

Ibn Sina from his writings on the science of wisdom including the Book of an-Najah (Salvation) and the Book of al-Isyara wa'l-Tanbihat. Both of these books discuss moral education which can shape the character of students. Ibn Sina views humans as parables as the soul of plants, the soul of animals and the soul of humanity, the formulation of the problem is What is meant by moral education according to Ibn Sina? What is the implementation of moral education that can be used to shape student character? Moral education is meant by humans can get to know morals through themselves and through other people, both of which aim to find out the shortcomings of self so as to perfect themselves better than before. while implementation through moral guidance by way of habituation (adat) and thought. The purpose of the implementation of moral guidance is to gain knowledge and happiness, knowledge can only be achieved through a clean soul alaql al-fa'al because with a clean soul will radiate knowledge to the soul, in these circumstances humans get true happiness.

Abstract

Education as one of the most important sectors in national development, is made and developed the main one that is made as much as possible in improving the quality of life of Indonesian people, where faith and piety for Allah SWT become a source of motivation for life in every field. Education also sees one aspect that has a major role in shaping future generations. With education that can be expected to produce quality human beings who are responsible and able to win the future. Higher education needs to be done, so education must be implemented and approved by formal education schools is the place that makes it easier forsomeone to increase knowledge, and the easiest to foster young people carried out by the government and society. Learning with discipline that can avoid feeling lazy and arouse students' enthusiasm in learning, which in turn can improve student learning abilities.
