Abstract

Community service is an undertaking that involves exchanging information and expertise in order to increase a feeling of caring for the local community. The goals of community service programs are to (1) exchange students' expertise and skills through courses at Pelita Harapan University's Faculty of Tourism, and (2) to give back to the community. (2) To train human capital for professional careers, especially in the hospitality and tourism industries, in the Normal period. (3) To put the expertise and skills acquired by students at Pelita Harapan University's Faculty of Tourism to use. This activity was attended by 323 respondents spread across several universities in Indonesia, which took place virtually. Therefore, the Community Service team created a community service activity program in the form of a webinar. It is hoped that this activity can be helpful for students / the general public and be developed in the future. With this webinar, participants can get an overview of professional ethics and social responsibility in hospitality and tourism and can apply it in the professional world. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Dedikasi kepada warga merupakan aktivitas yang dicoba buat tingkatkan rasa hirau warga dekat dengan metode memberikan ilmu ataupun keahlian kepada warga dekat.( 1) Memberikan pengetahuan serta keahlian yang dipunyai oleh mahasiswa lewat mata kuliah di Fakultas Pariwisata, Universitas Pelita Harapan,( 2) Mempersiapkan sumber energi manusia buat merambah dunia practitioner paling utama bidang perhotelan serta pariwasata( 3) Buat mengaplikasikan ilmu serta pengetahuan yang diperoleh mahasiswa lewat riset di Fakultas Pariwisata, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 323 responden yang tersebar pada beberapa perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang berlangsung secara virtual. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat membuat program kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk webinar. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa/masyarakat umum dan dapat dikembangkan di masa depan. Dengan webinar ini para peserta dapat mendapatkan gambaran mengenai etika profesi dan tanggung jawab sosial di dunia perhotelan dan pariwisata serta dapat mengaplikasikannya di dunia professional.

Abstract

In order to foster the capability of literacy in the community, Kindergarten Al-Amin, Ciputat has received books from Rebung Cendani Foundation These books have not been used maximally to increase students' literacy. Therefore, this Community Service will provide training and assistance to parents of the students on how to read story books to their children at home. Assistance was provided by Al-Amin teachers with the direction of community services facilitators for three months. Parents and teachers will practice the reading in accordance with the steps that have been explained. The mentoring training activities went smoothly. Through this mentoring training parents become anthusiastic in implementing reading activities at home with their children, reading activities also help parents keep children away from gadgets, and parents gain knowledge about reading fun stories. Suggestions from this mentoring training activity can foster a reading habit among Kindergarten Al-Amin. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Dalam rangka program menumbuhkan minat baca di masyarakat, TK Al-Amin, Ciputat mendapatkan bantuan buku-buku dari Yayasan Rebung Cendani. Buku-buku tersebut belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk meningkatkan literasi para murid. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan PkM ini memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada orang tua murid mengenai bagaimana membaca buku cerita kepada anak-anaknya di rumah. Pendampingan diberikan oleh guru-guru TK Al-Amin dengan arahan fasilitator PkM selama tiga bulan. Dalam proses pendampingan orang tua dan guru melakukan latihan membaca sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang sudah dijelaskan. Kegiatan pelatihan pendampingan berjalan dengan baik. Melalui pelatihan pendampingan ini orang tua menjadi antusias didalam menerapkan kegiatan membaca di rumah dengan anak masing-masing, kegiatan membaca juga membantu orang tua menjauhkan anak dari gadget, dan orang tua memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai membaca cerita yang menyenangkan. Saran dari kegiatan pelatihan pendampingan ini dapat menumbuhkan kebiasaan membaca dikalangan TK Al-Amin.

Abstract

Ipomoea Batatas or commonly called sweet potato is a kind of tuber that is very familiar to our ears. In addition to its delicious taste and a little sweetness, sweet potatoes are also affordable and easy to find in Indonesia. This is because Indonesia is one of the producers of sweet potatoes. Although the price is affordable and easy to find. However, the use of sweet potatoes every year is decreasing. Even though sweet potatoes offer quite a lot of health benefits such as lowering cholesterol levels, helping to prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity, and diabetes mellitus. Sweet potatoes are usually consumed by steaming, frying, and processing them into snacks or desserts. During its development, sweet potatoes can also be created as a substitute for other foods such as cheesecake. Cheesecake is a type of dessert that originated in ancient Greece. This dessert is made from main ingredients such as cream cheese and sugar. These two ingredients make cheesecake taste delicious and are popular with people of all ages. However, cream cheese and sugar do not provide nutrients and good uses for the body, where cream cheese can increase cholesterol levels, and sugar can trigger diabetes. In line with the problems found, the team aims to teach how sweet potatoes can be used as a substitute for making desserts in the form of cheesecakes aimed at high school / vocational high school students. It is hoped that high school / vocational high school students will understand more about the use of sweet potatoes and their processing.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Ipomoea Batatas atau yang biasa disebut ubi jalar merupakan sejenis umbi umbian yang sudah sangat akrab di telinga kita. Selain rasanya yang enak dan sedikit manis, ubi jalar juga memiliki harga yang terjangkau dan mudah sekali ditemukan di Indonesia. Hal ini disebabkan karena Indonesia merupakan salah satu produsen penghasil ubi jalar. Meskipun harganya yang terjangkau dan mudah ditemukan. Namun pemanfaatan ubi jalar tiap tahun kian menurun. Padahal ubi jalar menawarkan cukup banyak khasiat bagi kesehatan seperti menurunkan kadar kolesterol, membantu mencegah risiko penyakit kardiovaskular, obesitas, serta diabetes melitus. Ubi jalar biasanya dikonsumsi dengan cara dikukus, digoreng, dan diolah menjadi camilan ataupun hidangan penutup. Pada perkembangannya, ubi jalar juga dapat dikreasikan menjadi bahan pengganti untuk makanan lain seperti cheesecake. Cheesecake merupakan sejenis hidangan penutup yang berasal dari Yunani kuno. Hidangan penutup ini terbuat dari bahan bahan utama seperti krim keju dan gula. Kedua bahan membuat rasa cheesecake menjadi nikmat dan digemari banyak orang dari berbagai umur. Namun krim keju dan gula tidak memberikan nutrisi dan kegunaan yang baik bagi tubuh, dimana krim keju dapat meningkatkan tingkat kolesterol, dan gula dapat memicu diabetes. Sejalan dengan masalah yang ditemukan maka, tim bertujuan untuk memberikan pengajaran bagaimana ubi jalar dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan substitusi untuk membuat hidangan penutup berupa cheesecake yang ditujukan untuk siswa siswi SMA/SMK. Diharapkan siswa siswi SMA/SMK menjadi mengerti lebih lagi mengenai pemanfaatan ubi jalar dan pengolahannya.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities in Indonesia, from basic education to university levels, must be carried out online. The main problem experienced by teachers in online teaching and learning activities is the lack of mastery of technology by teachers. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct mentoring and training programs to improve the ability of teachers to use technology to support online teaching and learning activities. For this reason, in this community service activity, training has been carried out which aims to provide knowledge to teachers to improve teacher competence using information technology. The method of implementing activities is through counseling and training. Activities have been evaluated using a questionnaire, the results achieved are 90.77% of teachers can use information technology to support online teaching and learning activities. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Pada masa pandemi COVID-19 kegiatan belajar mengajar di Indonesia, mulai dari tingkat pendidikan dasar hingga perguruan tinggi harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Permasalahan utama yang dialami oleh guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar daring adalah kurangnya penguasaan teknologi oleh guru. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan program pendampingan dan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru dalam menggunakan teknologi guna mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar daring. Untuk itu, pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini telah dilakukan pelatihan yang bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru-guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Kegiatan telah dievaluasi dengan menggunakan kuesioner, hasil yang dicapai adalah 90.77% guru dapat menggunakan teknologi informasi dalam mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar daring.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is empowerment and efforts to maintain business sustainability in the culinary business community in Cangakan Karanganyar. Partners in this program are the culinary business community in Cangakan, Karanganyar, who have joined the KUBE (Business Community Group) institution. The main problem faced by partners is the aspect of capital, most of the members of KUBE Culinary Cangakan are street culinary traders so that prospective creditors are considered not bankable. In financial terms, this business actually has the potential to develop. The method used to solve the problem is assisting the establishment of a Micro Finance Institution (MFIs), as well as empowering community members through financial management and managerial training. The end result of this program is the formation of a healthy Micro Finance Institution from the culinary business community in Cangakan Karanganyar. Through the established Micro Finance Institution (MFIs), it is hoped that it can be a solution in overcoming working capital problems and business sustainability. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan dan upaya menjaga keberlanjutan usaha pada komunitas pelaku usaha kuliner di Cangakan Karangnyar. Mitra dalam dalam program ini adalah komunitas pelaku usaha kuliner di Cangakan, Karangnyar yang sudah tergabung dalam kelembagaan KUBE (Kelompok Usaha Bersama). Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh Mitra yaitu aspek permodalan, sebagian besar anggota KUBE Kuliner Cangakan adalah pedagang kuliner kaki-lima sehingga dipandang not-bankable oleh calaon kreditur. Secara financial sebetulnya usaha ini memiliki potensi untuk berkembang. Metode yang dipakai untuk menyelesaikan masalah adalah pendampingan pembentukan kelembagaan Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (LKM), sekaligus pemberdayaan anggota komunitas melalui pelatihan manajemen keuangan dan manajerial. Hasil akhir dari program ini adalah terbentuknya Lembaga Keuangan Mikro yang sehat dari komunitas pelaku usaha kuliner di Cangakan Karangnyar. Melalui Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (LKM) yang terbentuk diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan modal kerja dan keberlanjutan usaha.

Abstract

One of Ahmad Dahlan University's business incubation activities is to provide training and assistance for online-based startups and SMEs (Online Business). This method is considered appropriate with the conditions of the Covid Pandemic, which requires less contact-based business activities. This program is expected to maintain the resilience of entrepreneurs, including SMEs in the culinary field, using information technology as the basis for their competitive advantage. The pattern used in this business incubation uses the Experience Learning (EL) approach. This approach gives treatment to tenants to gain experience, competence and basic entrepreneurial character. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role and contribution of campus business incubation in maintaining the resilience of MSMEs from among alumni in the face of a pandemic. This research uses descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The data collected in the form of secondary data includes company reports, archives, and notes on the opinions of sources. The results of the analysis show that the online marketing training program and business model innovation training are effective in increasing the understanding and skills of tenants in dealing with the pandemic. In addition, the model of mentoring and mentoring by best practice companies that are in accordance with the pandemic conditions is very urgent to be designed and implemented immediately. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Risky Catering sebagai mitra memiliki berbagai kendala terlebih dalam melaksanakan kegiatan operasionalnya masa pandemi covid-19 ini. Permasalahan prioritas yang dihadapi mitra yaitu pemasaran terkendala kebijakan bekerja dari rumah, pembatasan kegiatan keramaian. tidak ada pendapatan sedangkan beban usaha masih harus dibayar, terhambatnya koordinasi dan komunikasi antara karyawan dan manajemen catering. Disisi lain, Risky Catering belum memiliki sistem dan kapabilitas untuk mengelola usahanya dengan kondisi dan situasi pandemi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah suatu sistem pembelajaran bernama “Smart UMKM” guna mengefisienkan pelatihan pengelolaan usaha terlebih dimasa pandemi Covid-19 yang membatasi kemampuan karyawan menjalankan kegiatannya. Tujuan dan target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah menciptakan dan mengimplementasikan teknologi informasi dan digital untuk meningkatkan kapasitas karyawan dan  menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada di usaha. Metode dan prosedur implementasi inovasi pada program pengabdian ini adalah tahap persiapan menggunakan metode online system untuk sosialisasi program dan pembahasan bersama proses bisnis dan proses organisasi dari UMKM Risky Catering. Hasil analisis menunjukkan program pelatihan pemasaran online dan pelatihan inovasi model bisnis efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan ketrampilan mitra dalam menghadapi  pandemi. Selain itu, model pendampingan dan mentoring oleh perusahaan best practice yang sesuai dengan kondisi pandemi sangat urgnet untuk segera dirancang dan dijalankan.

Abstract

The objectives of the community service program entitled “Stand Up Against Sexual Harassment!” are: 1. To raise awareness of high school students in Indonesia about sexual harassment; and, 2. To disseminate dialogue in the mass media on sexual harassment. The PkM activity was held in 3 stages: 1. "Tips to Avoid Sexual Violence" webinar; 2. "Creative Arts Against Sexual Harassment" competition; and, 3. “She Begs to Differ!” podcast. Because the implementation of the community service activities was held during the Covid-19 pandemic, all activities were carried out virtually. Based on the results of the survey conducted before and after the webinar, as well as the level of participation in the first and second stages, it can be concluded that this community service program was effective in raising awareness of high school students about sexual harassment, and establishing dialog about sexual harassment, especially through social media because of all of its activities done virtually and through various stages. For the sustainability of this program, SGU's Global Strategic Communications study program plans to make it an annual program. The virtual implementation resulted in a high level of participation, especially for participants from outside the JABODETABEK area. Therefore, this program will be conducted virtually in the future. In order to optimize the community service program and participate more actively in the eradication of sexual harassment, an exploration of the possibility of collaboration with the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) is being made.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berjudul “Stand Up Against Sexual Harassment!”adalah: 1. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa SMA di Indonesia terhadap pelecehan seksual; dan, 2. Untuk menyebarluaskan dialog dalam media massa mengenai pelecehan seksual. Kegiatan PkM ini diadakan dalam 3 tahap: 1. Webinar “Tips Terhindar dari Kekerasan Seksual”; 2. Kompetisi “Creative Arts Against Sexual Harassment”; dan, 3. Podcast “She Begs to Differ!” Karena pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM diadakan pada saat pandemi Covid-19, maka semua kegiatan dilakukan secara virtual. Berdasarkan hasil survei yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah acara webinar, serta tingkat partisipasi dalam tahap pertama dan kedua, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PkM ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran siswa SMA tentang pelecehan seksual, dan menyebarluaskan perbincangan tentang pelecehan seksual, khususnya melalui media sosial karena seluruh kegiatannya dilakukan secara virtual dan bertahap. Untuk keberlanjutan program ini, program studi Ilmu Komunikasi (Global Strategic Communications) SGU berencana untuk menjadikannya program tahunan program studi. Pelaksanaan secara virtual menyebabkan tingginya tingkat partisipasi, terutama bagi partisipan dari luar wilayah JABODETABEK. Oleh karena itu, maka program ini akan dilakukan secara virtual di waktu mendatang. Untuk mengoptimalkan program PkM ini serta lebih aktif berpartisipasi dalam upaya pemberantasan pelecehan seksual, maka dilakukan penjajakan kemungkinan kerjasama dengan Komnas Perempuan.

Abstract

One part of Tridharma tertiary institutions in Indonesia that connect the world of education and society is Community Service. This Community Service, higher education requires a very active role in the application of the field of science and skills to provide knowledge to the public. This Community Service provide education about Covid-19 and how to prevent itu by online system (Zoom Application) to the congregation of HKBP Setia Mekar Church, Aren Jaya Village, East Bekasi District, West Java Province. Pandemic of Covid-19 that occurred in Indonesia has caused a decline the level of community health. This condition caused by low of education and public awareness regarding health protocols and vaccination. Based on that problem, Activity of Community Service were carried out at HKBP Church, Setia Mekar to provide a complete understanding about Covid-19 and improving awareness of HKBP Setia Mekar member on the importance of implementing health protocols and a vaccination to prevent Covid-19 transmission. The results of this Community Service obtained data through a questionnaire that there was an increase in the knowledge of the HKBP Setia Mekar member regarding the topic of this Community Service about 13,8%.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Salah satu bagian dari Tridharma perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang menghubungkan dunia pendidikan dan masyarakat adalah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). Kegiatan PkM perguruan tinggi dituntut berperan aktif dalam menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan PkM kali ini adalah melakukan edukasi tentang Covid-19 dan pencegahannya secara daring (Aplikasi Zoom) kepada jemaat Gereja HKBP Setia Mekar, Kelurahan Aren Jaya, Kecamatan Bekasi Timur, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Kondisi pandemik Covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia telah menyebabkan penurunan tingkat kesehatan di masyarakat. Kondisi tersebut diduga disebabkan karena kurangnya edukasi dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait protokol kesehatan dan vaksinasi. Dari permasalah tersebut, kemudian dilakukan kegiatan PkM di Gereja HKBP Setia Mekar untuk memberikan pemahaman yang utuh tentang Covid-19 serta meningkatkan kesadaran jemaat HKBP Setia Mekar tantang pentingnya penerapan protokol kesehatan dan vaksinasi untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19. Hasil kegiatan PkM diperoleh data melalui kuesioner bahwa terdapat pengingkatan pengetahuan jemaat HKBP Setia Mekar mengenai topik PkM sebesar 13,8%.

Abstract

Lack of public understanding about the importance of selection of food and good food processing is the background of the community services of Food Technology Department in Even Semester 2017/2018. The counseling entitled "How Safe is Your Food?" will be conducted in the parent community of World Harvest Foundation, Karawaci, Tangerang as a form of awareness of the Department of Food Technology to provide information about the source of the causes of frequent food poisoning, how to choose good food materials, and how to process food that considers hygiene and sanitation rule. The result showed most participants stated the counseling was useful for them although they have been implemented hygiene and sanitation rules in daily activities.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya pemilihan bahan pangan dan cara pengolahan pangan yang baik melatarbelakangi pelaksanaan PkM Program Studi Teknologi Pangan di Semester Genap 2017/2018. Penyuluhan yang berjudul “How Safe is Your Food?” dilaksanakan pada komunitas di Yayasan World Harvest, Karawaci, Tangerang sebagai bentuk kepedulian Program Studi Teknologi Pangan untuk memberikan informasi tentang sumber penyebab keracunan pangan yang sering terjadi, cara memilih bahan pangan yang baik, dan cara mengolah pangan yang memperhatikan kaidah hygiene dan sanitasi. Walaupun sebagian besar peserta telah menerapkan kaidah hygiene dan sanitasi dalam mempersiapkan dan mengolah makanan sehari-hari namun hasil kuesioner menunjukkan 61% peserta yang hadir menyatakan penyuluhan berguna bagi peserta.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is deeply felt by the community, especially in socio-cultural and economic life. Based on the results of observations and interviews with traders, there has been a 60% decrease in sales at the Subuh Market, Kertak Hanyar 2 Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The residents of the dawn market have known about the COVID-19 pandemic through electronic media, but they still lack awareness in complying with the health protocol rules established by the government. Health protocol facilities are also not yet available. The dedication aims to improve the economy in the market at dawn but by adhering to health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This service was carried out together with the village head by disseminating health protocols and interviews with traders and buyers, providing masks and providing means of washing hands and soap. The result of the activity is the installation of health protocol education banners, traders using masks, the distance between traders is at least 1 meter and using hand washing facilities for buyers and traders at the market entrance. The socio-cultural and economic life of the people at Subuh Market are moving again with a sense of security.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Dampak pandemi COVID-19 sangat dirasakan oleh masyarakat, khususnya kehidupan sosial budaya dan ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pedagang, telah terjadi penurunan penjualan 60% di Pasar Subuh Desa Kertak Hanyar 2 Kabupaten Banjar Kalimantan Selatan. Warga pasar subuh telah mengetahui adanya pandemi COVID-19 ini melalui media elektronik, namun masih kurangnya kesadaran dalam mematuhi aturan protokol kesehatan yang ditetapkan pemerintah. Sarana protokol kesehatan juga belum tersedia. Pengabdian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian di pasar subuh tetapi dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19. Pengabdian ini dilakukan bersama dengan kepala desa dengan melakukan sosialisasi protokol kesehatan dan wawancara kepada pedagang dan pembeli, pemberian masker dan penyediaan sarana alat cuci tangan dan sabun. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah terpasangnya spanduk edukasi protokol kesehatan, pedagang menggunakan masker, jarak antar pedagang minimal 1meter dan menggunakan sarana cuci tangan untuk pembeli dan pedagang pada pintu masuk pasar. Kehidupan sosial budaya serta perekonomian masyarakat di Pasar Subuh bergerak kembali dengan rasa aman.
