Abstract

 This study aims to determine student and teacher assessment of learning media that have been developed by researchers. This study uses the method of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results of student assessments of Android-based learning media in Pythagorean material, especially in the sub-section of the comparison of the sides of the triangles in the response questionnaire, obtained an average percentage of 75.9% in the appropriate category. The results of the teacher's assessment of Android media obtained an average percentage of an average of 80.3% in the feasible category.Keywords: Android, development, response, triangle, media

Abstract

This research is motivated by a problem of the low math skills of students in elementary schools. The purpose of this research is to find out how far the effectiveness of the smartboard media is in understanding the concept of the unit time material for students in elementary schools. The research method experimental which a quasi-experimental design (Quasy-experiment). The population of this study was an elementary school located in Tasikmalaya City, using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used is in the form of a test given through the pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis and the results of the inferential statistical analysis it was proven that the understanding of the experimental class that was given treatment was better than the control class. This is evidenced by the acquisition of an average value of Sig.(2-tailed) of 0.004, where 0.004 <0.05. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that the average post-test final score for the experimental class using smart board media is different from the average post-test final score for the control class without using smart board media. Based on the quality of understanding improvement in the experimental class is in the medium category, while the quality of understanding improvement in the control class is in the low category. So it was concluded that the smart board media effectively influenced the understanding of the concept of time unit material for third grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Self-efficacy is an assessment of a person's belief in the ability or potential that is possessed within him. This self-efficacy is very important for students, because this self-efficacy is a student's self-confidence in their potential, then how do they overcome an action against a given task so that they can achieve the goals they want, and this can also affect their learning outcomes .This study aims to see the effect of self-efficacy on the learning outcomes of students taking the Numerical Method course. The sample of this study were students of the Unindra Informatics Engineering Study Program who took the Numerical Method course. The instruments in this study were self-efficacy questionnaires and post-tests. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively. Data analysis was performed on the post-test data by using a linear regression analysis test. Meanwhile, student self-efficacy is in the form of distributing questionnaires which are then processed quantitatively. The results showed that there was an effect of self-efficacy on student learning outcomes in the Numerical Method course. The regression model test shows that the F test is 109.541 with a significance level of 0.00 <0.05. This shows that there is a significant influence between student self-efficacy on learning outcomes. The value of the correlation coefficient (R) is 0.826, this shows that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and student learning outcomes in the high category. Based on the results of the determinant coefficient (R2) it is obtained that 68% of student learning outcomes are influenced by self-efficacy variables, while 32% are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is as an effort to improve student learning outcomes regarding the volume of cubes, blocks and pyramids using a problem solving approach, presenting more effective learning that can help students improve their achievements. This research was a Classroom Action Research with 33 class VII students at SMPN 21 Kota Tasikmalaya as subjects, consisting of 23 male students and 10 female students. Each cycle consisted of four activities, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflection. Kemmis-Taggart Classroom Action Research Model. The data collection used is the test technique and observation technique. While processing the data through quantitative and qualitative data. The results of this study showed an increase, this was evident from the results of observing the learning process in the form of research observation sheets, which consisted of observations on the teacher's ability to design lesson plans, there was an increase of 25.00%, namely in cycle I it was worth 57.14% and in cycle II worth 81.14%. In the process of implementing learning there is also an increase of 31.82%, namely in the first cycle it is worth 58.33%, in the second cycle it is worth 90.15%, while student activities also have an increase of 32.69%, namely in the first cycle it is worth 55.77 %, in cycle II is worth 88.46%. And the ability of student learning outcomes has increased by 24.87%, it is proven that the acquisition value of the evaluation cycle I is worth 63.85% while in cycle II it is worth 88.72%. Therefore, the teacher should use a problem-solving approach that can help students overcome learning difficulties, starting from conditioning the readiness of students related to the material, explaining the subject matter continuously and carrying out evaluations and the results obtained from this research.

Abstract

By developing students' mathematical communication skills during a pandemic, students can achieve learning success in the implementation of online learning. But in practice, students' mathematical communication skills are still not good. This study aims to review a number of research articles that are relevant to students' mathematical communication skills in online learning. This type of research is Systematic Literature Review or SLR. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting a number of research articles available on Google Scholar. There were 10 journal articles used in this study. Based on the results of the study, it shows that in the implementation of online mathematics learning, mathematical communication skills in students are classified as low category. This is caused by two factors: 1) from within students, such as student learning motivation; 2) from outside students, such as less qualified learning resource facilities. The solution so that students' mathematical communication skills can improve is by creating innovative learning such as using interactive learning media.Keywords: Mathematical Communication Skill, Online Learning, Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengukur persepsi siswa tentang strategi khusus mengajar guru dalam pembelajaran matematika berdiferensiasi pada kurikulum merdeka di SMP Negeri 1 Sindangresmi, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Provinsi Banten. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian adalah 40 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sindangresmi Kabupaten Pandeglang Provinsi Banten. Data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa siswa berpendapat sebesar 92,50% siswa sangat setuju bahwa guru sudah menerapkan pembelajaran matematika berdiferensiasi di kelas. Strategi khusus dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi lebih banyak menggunakan diferensiasi proses, serta hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika berdiferensiasi dapat dilakukan dengan baik.

Abstract

Education is a journey and effort taken by someone in learning to pursue knowledge through understanding, solving problems, and various interesting discussions in the world of education. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' learning abilities in learning fractions. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, the subject of this research consists of 6 students of class IV SDN 1 Bae using a purposive technique. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained in this study are in accordance with the results of previous studies which also show that most of the student errors are related to the subject understanding index, students do not understand questions about fractional material. Subsequent studies have shown the same thing, that students tend not to be able to solve problems properly, so they still need a lot of practice. The conclusion from this study is that students tend not to fully understand fractional material so that more intensive discussions need to be carried out with the teacher or various discussion methods such as peer tutors with friends so that children do not hesitate to ask questions when experiencing difficulties.Keywords: problem solving skills, fractions, mathematics, learning difficulties, mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication abilities through the application of the Geogebra application and to determine the level of students' learning abilities through the application of the Geogebra application. This research is a mixed methods research (a combination of qualitative and quantitative) with a sequential explanatory research design. The sample for this research was all students of class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg Majalengka Regency for the 2020/2021 academic year, a total of 36 students using a purposive sampling technique. The material being studied is the concept of absolute value with the sub-concept of absolute value inequality. the results of the recapitulation analysis of mathematical communication ability questions that have been filled in by students are 80% of students in the Good category and 20% of students in the Very Good category for learning through the application of the geogebra application. the results of the recap analysis of the fighting spirit questionnaire that had been filled in by the students as a whole (100%) were in the high fighting power category 80% of learning through the application of the geogebra application.

Abstract

Metacognitive learning can help students develop their knowledge so that they can improve cognitive activity, especially in learning mathematics. In learning mathematics the ability to solve mathematical problems is a fundamental and very important problem solving ability. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the metacognitive learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type. The population in this study were all students of class IX at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Susu. The sample in this study consisted of 2 classes, namely class IX-1 which was used as the experimental class and class IX-2 which was used as the control class. This study involved a type of instrument, namely a test in the form of a description test on congruence and similarity. This shows that there is an influence of the metacognitive learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in schools is intended so that students have mathematical abilities. Mathematical abilities are trained through mastery of mathematical material. Various alternative uses of learning models have been carried out in accordance with the development of science in education. So this study aims to provide alternative learning options, through the Trigonometry learning design using the POGIL model for high school students. POGIL is a process-oriented and student-centered inquiry learning in an active learning that uses study groups. This writing uses the Dick and Carey instructional design. The development of the Dick and Carey learning design model is a learning design model that follows a systematic approach to developing effective and efficient learning programs. Learning design is done by analyzing the needs of students. Performance objectives and learning outcomes are discussed in detail and adapted to instructional objectives. The results of this study indicate that the trigonometry learning design by applying the POGIL model is recommended for educators. This happens because learning is based on the advantages of the POGIL learning model, which include helping students to discover their own knowledge. In addition, the POGIL Learning Model is also able to assist students in improving process skills, asking questions, and communicating knowledge, and can cover a wide range of subject matter.
