Abstract

The existence of the capital market in Indonesia is one of the most important factors in the effort to participate in building the national economy. One of the most popular investments in the capital market is stocks. Stock is one of the attractive financial instrument investments because it can provide high returns but is also high risk. This study aims to analyze the effect of macroeconomics consisting of inflation, BI7DRR, exchange rates, and company fundamentals as proxied by ROA and DER ratios on company stock returns in the LQ45 stock index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study amounted to 69 companies that have joined the LQ45 stock index during the 2017-2021 period. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling by setting certain criteria. The samples obtained were 27 companies. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression with the help of the Eviews version 9.0 program as a data processing tool to present statistical information. The results of the model specification test show the random effect model as the best model in estimating panel data regression. The results showed that inflation and exchange rates had a negative and significant effect on stock returns. BI7DRR has a positive and significant effect on stock returns. Meanwhile, ROA and DER have no significant effect on stock returns. Simultaneously inflation, exchange rate, BI7DRR, ROA and DER have a positive and significant effect on stock returns. This finding illustrates that LQ45 stock returns are more dominantly influenced by macroeconomic factors than company fundamentals. This can be used as consideration for investors in determining an effective investment strategy.

Abstract

Competition in the business world in Indonesia is increasingly rapid and extreme. Therefore, every company tries to correct its shortcomings and weaknesses to compete with other companies. This study aims to determine (1) The effect of inventory on net profit and (2) the effect of sales on net profit. The research was conducted at CV Cahaya Sumatera Karawang. The research used descriptive and verifiable methods for data processing using SPSS version 26. The data were analyzed using classical assumption tests (heteroskedasticity test, multicollinearity test, normality test, and autocorrelation test), multiple linear regression test, and hypothesis test (f test, t-test, and adjusted R square test). The results showed that (1) Inventory affects net profit. The results of the t-test showed that the inventory (X1) had a calculated t value of 5.430 > t table 2.228 and sig.0.000< 0.05, so it could be known that H01 reject and Ha1 was accepted. (2) Sales affect net profit; sales (X2) have a calculated t value of 99.607 > t table 2.228, and sig. 0.000< 0.05 so that it can be known that H02 reject and Ha2 is received. Test f has a calculated f value of 35.542 > f table 4.960, and the value of sig.0.00 < 0.05, then Ho in reject Ha is received, meaning that inventory and sales simultaneously affect net profit.

This study aims to analyze the performance of employees in the marketing division of PT Graha Medika Mandiri through the influence of workload and work discipline. As a distributor of laboratory equipment & tools in the South Kalimantan region, meeting work targets often results in excessive anxiety and fatigue due to the high workload. This has an impact on individual negligence in managing attitudes and responsibilities, resulting in the level of work discipline. The research methodology is quantitative through analysis of the SEM data model and the SmartPLS software approach. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, with a total sample of 48 respondents. The findings in the study indicate that the high level of workload received, can reduce the resulting performance. Meanwhile, the level of awareness of individual work discipline can also improve employee performance. A balanced distribution of workloads is able to improve the quality of individual work through maximum and significant work discipline to produce optimal performance. This can be used as material for future evaluations for the management in determining the standardization of a balanced workload for the achievement of company goals.

Abstract

Investment is one way to keep our money so that it is not intrinsically reduced due to inflation. Many investment instruments range from gold, stocks, cryptocurrencies, and state securities. The current COVID-19 pandemic is an excellent opportunity to see which investment instruments can give a better return amid global economic uncertainty. In choosing investments, investors should not fear and follow the bias generated by other investors during the pandemic. Thus, this research was conducted to determine objectively which investment provides the highest return during the pandemic, between the low-risk investments represented by gold and SBN; and high-risk investments represented by IDX30. The results of this study indicate that within two years of the pandemic in Indonesia, IDX30 stock returns were higher than gold and SBN returns. This is in line with the concept of high-risk high return, where the risk of the stock is higher than the risk of the other two types of investments analyzed.
