Abstract

Public health centers are the spearhead in the implementation of health services in Indonesia. Public health centers are the first level facilities that seek promotive and preventive services to achieve health status. The provision of health services must be supported by adequate health personnel to support the functioning of the community health center. In accordance with its function, public health centers must have at least five promotive and preventive personnel, namely laboratory, pharmaceutical, nutrition, public health, and sanitation analysts. The availability of health human resources (HRH) for public health centers, especially laboratory analysts, nutrition, public health, and sanitation, is still not evenly distributed in the Jember district health centers. HRK planning in Jember Regency is still focused on medical personnel. This research is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach that aims to determine the HRH planning process, especially the promotive and preventive public health centers. The informants in this study were the head of the public health center administration as part of staffing and additional informants, namely analysts, nutrition, public health, and sanitation staff. Based on the results of the study, public health centers still need personnel such as analysts, nutrition, and sanitation. The results of interviews with informants indicated that the community health center did not have a special HRH planning team. In the planning process, the community health center only carried out an analysis of the HRH needs and then submitted them to the Health Office which had an important role in the planning process to meet the HRH needs of the community health center. As an executor, the community health center can only accept the applicable policies. Public health centers cannot do their own recruits because of budget constraints. This is one of the obstacles that hinders community health centers in HRH planning. Another obstacle in the planning process is waiting for a decision from the Health Office to meet HRH needs and the use of forecasting methods that are not yet clear. This causes, there is no common perception among policy makers. Keyword: Public health center, HRH planning, preventive and promotive.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the urgency of implementing sustainability reports that supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the higher education level. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the literature study and case study approaches. Data from the literature study were taken from various sources, i.e., research articles, books, websites, and other scientific references. Primary data from the case study were sourced from the results of the survey and interview at one of the state universities in Indonesia. The data processing and analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion making. Results showed that various organizations have produced sustainability reports regularly. This finding implied that for higher education institutions (especially the university service agencies and legal entity for state universities), the regular publishing of sustainability reports is a manifestation of the transparency of organizational actions towards the environment and society and that it could be a good example for other organizations. Therefore, higher education institutions can have a significant role as the main pillar to support the implementation of SDGs programs in all sectors in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of absenteeism and job attitude on employee performance in leasing companies in Padang City, West Sumatra Province. Absenteeism defined as the absenteeism of employees from their work responsibility. Job attitude can be measured through job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The population was all employees who work at one of the leasing companies located in Padang. The sampling method used was saturated sampling (census). Research data was collected by distributing questionnaires to a total of 43 respondents. Data processing and analysis were performed using a multiple linear regression method run by SPSS version 22.0. The results of the study indicated that absenteeism has no significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction, as part of job attitude, had a significant effect on employee performance, while organizational commitment did not significantly affect performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the potential of local traders' economic growth in Manokwari Regency, West Papua based on the type of product sold and the profit to cost ratio. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of 74 respondents taken randomly using a simple random sampling method at the traditional markets of Sanggeng Market and West Market. Data were processed using SPSS with descriptive statistical methods-frequency. Results showed that the most products sold in traditional markets in Manokwari Regency were tubers and fruits by 28.4%, followed by sea/livestock products and mixed products by 24.3%, and vegetables by 23%. The lowest profit to cost ratio was 0.9 and the highest was 60. The average profit to cost ratio was 7.52 which means that traders in Papua should have been at a better welfare level. Likewise, local businesses should have been grown better. Increasing local trader welfare is also increasing the level of local economic growth. However, many traders can only earn income to fulfill their daily needs. Therefore, they should improve their business skills and knowledge by following some business training and assistance programs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Fama & French Five-Factors Asset Pricing Model can explain the excess return expected by investors. The population used is the LQ 45 index with large capitalization and liquid. Based on the sample in this study was used by 25 companies. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis. The results show that the variables in the Fama & French Five-Factors Asset Pricing Model have a significant effect on the excess return, which is 65.7%. Partial testing results also show that all variables in this study have a significant effect on excess return. This means that the Fama & French Five-Factors Asset Pricing Model in this study period can explain the expected rate of return of shares by investors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand awareness, brand image, brand quality, and brand value on brand loyalty of the domestic tourists visiting Air Manis Beach, Padang City, West Sumatra Province. This research is a quantitative survey employing a purposive sampling technique with the sample consisted of 105 domestic tourists. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression run by SPSS version 16. Results showed that brand awareness has a positive but not significant effect on brand loyalty. This indicated that the reputation and good characteristics of Air Manis Beach do not significantly influence loyalty. The brand image had a significant and positive effect on brand loyalty, which means that a good image can increase loyalty. Brand quality had a significant and positive effect on brand loyalty, which means that accommodation, safety, cleanliness, good experience, and interesting attractions can increase loyalty. Brand value had a negative and not significant effect on brand loyalty, which means that the high price of the tourism destination cannot increase tourist loyalty. Domestic tourists wish to visit a tourism destination that provides interesting and unique experiences and attractions offering at a reasonable price.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of knowledge sharing and trust on employee performance at PT Tunas Dwipa Matra Kepahiang, Bengkulu Province. This study used a survey approach by distributing questionnaires to the research sample that consisted of 40 respondents who were the staff and managers at PT Tunas Dwipa Matra Kepahiang. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS program. Results showed that knowledge sharing and trust had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Tunas Dwipa Matra Kepahiang. Thus, the company could improve the knowledge sharing activities related to the work procedures and clear tasks division among its employees based on mutual trust to achieve the best performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of murabahah financing that influences by the inflation rate and BI rate at sharia banks in Indonesia in 2013-2016. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that, partially, inflation has a positive significant effect murabahah financing. However, the BI rate has no significant effect on murabahah financing in sharia banks in Indonesia in 2013-2016. Simultaneously, inflation and BI rate had a significant effect on murabahahfinancing in sharia banks in Indonesia in 2013-2016. Therefore, the management of sharia banks in Indonesia should be more active in introducing sharia funding to society.
