Abstract

Abstract: Education is an important part of the national development process that will determine the progress of a country. Education is also an investment in the construction and development of human resources, with the improvement in skills and capabilities that believed to be a contributing factor in the human attempts to influence life that filled with uncertainty. This study intends to determine the effect of leadership style to the performance of teachers and staffs in SD Islam Tompokersan and SD Islam Al Ikhlas Lumajang, with the motivation and discipline of work as intervening variables. The analytical method used in this research is the empirical analysis with a quantitative approach with the method of Path analysis. The results showed leadership style has negative effect on motivation, leadership style does not affect the discipline of teachers and staffs, motivation significant has positive effect on the performance of teachers and staffs, disciplinary significant has positive effect on the performance of teachers and staffs in SD Islam Tompokersan and SD Al Ikhlas Lumajang, and leadership style does not significantly influence the performance of teachers and staffs, it demonstrates leadership style does not has a linear relationship to the performance of teachers and staffs in SD Islam Tompokersan and SD Al Ikhlas Lumajang.Keywords: Style of school leadership, motivation, work discipline, teacher performance.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to analyze the changes in several objective priorities as the banking targets in the decision making process. The research applied goal programming model and based on the experiments on the financial data or ratios. The objective functions of the research were the ratios used to asses bank health level, namely: capital, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), asset quality, Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operational Cost compared to Operating Income (BOPO) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). Results show that only capital and LDR targets achieved predominantly on a variety of priority setting. While the targets of CAR, asset quality, ROE, and NIM are not achieved predominantly on a variety of priority setting. Abstract

Abstract: The regional readiness to implement regional autonomy is measured from its financial capability that mainly sourced from the Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD). The problem is that regional retributions as one of the PAD’s components have not been able to contribute significantly to the overall regional revenue. One of the causes is the lack of potential sources exploration. This also happened to the retribution of the waste management services of the settlement in Situbondo Regency. This study aims to identify opportunities, threats, strengths, weaknesses, and strategies that can be applied to increase the waste management services of the settlement in Situbondo Regency. The strategy is formulated by using Internal External (IE) and Strengths, Weaknesses,Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) matrixes. Findings of the research show that opportunities and threats are consisted of the potential retributions payer, increasing numbers of housing, public awareness, parliament control, retribution rates, sanctions for the retribution payer, and competitors. The strengths and weaknesses are consisted of coordination between legislative party and relevant insitutions, the quantity and quality of the retribution collector, waste services, leakage control, quantity of the waste hauler, facilities and infrastructure, socialization, SOP, retribution tariff, and retribution contribution to the PAD. The main strategy to increase the revenue from the waste management service is the expansion strategy in the form of extensification by extending the coverage area of the retribution. Abstract

Abstract: University of Jember (UNEJ) is the only state university in Jember Regency under the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia. The administration staffs, especially the temporary educational staffs, have a significant role in performing administration service to support the educational system of the university. The objective of this research is to significantly examine the direct influence of compensation, motivation, and work environment on work effectiveness and indirect influence of compensation, motivation, and work environment on work effectiveness through work satisfaction. This is an explanatory quantitative research with the sample consisted of 180 temporary educational staff at University of Jember. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Results show that compensation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and work effectiveness; motivation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and work effectiveness; work environment has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and work effectiveness; and job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on work effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to examine the influence of budget participation on performance, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and motivation; the influence of organizational commitment and organizational culture on performance; the influence of organizational culture on organizational commitment; and the influence of organizational culture on motivation of the government officers of Bondowoso Regency. The research sample consists of 180 government officers, including the structural officers and executive staff of the Local Government Work Unit of Bondowoso Regency. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Results show that budget participation has a positive and significant influence on performance, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and motivation; organizational commitment has a positive and significant influence on performance; organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on performance; motivation has a positive and significant influence on performance; and organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. Abstract

This research aims to analyze and empirically prove the direct influence of work motivation and work environment on the employee performance, and the indirect influence of work motivation and work environment on the employee performance through work satisfaction and work discipline in PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop IX Jember. This is an explanatory research applying the proportionate sampling method. The population was all 163 employees of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop IX Jember. The sample of every sub-population was determined by dividing the sub-population with the number of population member multiplied by the member size of the sample that resulting in the total sample of 118 respondents. Data were collected from the questionnaire distribution and analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using IBM SPSS AMOS 20 software. Results of the study proved that all hypothesis were accepted meaning that motivation influences performance directly and indirectly through work satisfaction, and work environment influences performance directly and indirectly through work discipline. Abstract

This study examines the influence of augmented products at the time of purchase and after the purchase on purchase decision, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. This research used path analysis method. Results of this study showed that augmented products at the time of purchase and after the purchase hadsignificant influence on the purchase decision through the intervening variables of satisfaction. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of sense, feel, think, act, relate, that is usually called as Strategic Experiential Modules (SEM’s), and emotional branding on brand loyalty Citra Hand & Body Lotion. The sample consists of 70 students of the Faculty of Economics Universitas Jember. The research used multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. Results show that there are positive effect of sense, think, act, relate and emotional branding on brand loyalty. But, there is negative effect of feel on brand loyalty. Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and the position in the IE Matrix, Space Matrix, SWOT Matrix, as well as to find out alternative marketing strategies toward sales of PT Indofarma Global Medika Jember. Sample of the research consisted of 8 respondents. The analysis tool used was SWOT analysis. Results showed that the internal strength environment variableswere products, partnerships, pricing, and distribution channels, while the weaknesses consisted of product, human resources, and promotion. The external environment variables being the opportunities were technology, social and cultural environment, market togetherness and resources similarity, and competition among rival firms, while the threats consisted of potential entry of new competitors and the bargaining power of suppliers. The strategic position of PT Indofarma Global Medika in IE matrix was growing and developing. In the matrix space, the position was in the aggressive profile.In the SWOT matrix, the position was in the strategy of SO, WO, ST, WT interconnected. Alternative strategies of PT Indofarma Global Medika Jember branch weremarket penetration, market development, and product development. Abstract

Abstract:This study aimed to analyze the effect of: (1) internal control system on the local financial management, (2) internal control sistem on the performance of local government, and (3)local financial management on the performanceof local government.The population was the leaders and heads of the Finance Department of Local Government in North Maluku Province. The samples were consisted of 80 respondents. Path analysis with Confirmatory Factor Analysis was employed as the method of analysis. The results showed that: (1) internal control sistem significantly affects the local financial management in North Maluku, (2)internal control sistem significantlyaffects local government performance of North Maluku, and (3) local financial management significantly affects the performance of local government of North Maluku Province.
