Abstract

This article discuss about Harun Nasution’s thought in doctrine of Islam, particularly relate with his thought about observance verses in al-Qur’ān. He is one of the figure indonesian modernist because his effort to criticize understanding society that be judged taqlid or a reclusive gesture and closing the ijtihad doors. In his opinion, the advances of science in the time of classical Islam period were none other than due at that time the ijtihad doors were wide open. Therefore, the notion held by Harun Nasution is the rational theology as adopted by Muhammad Abduh who is also close to Mu’tazilah. Harun argued that in the doctrine of Islam, divided inti two doctrines, that are unchangeable teachings, and then adaptable teachings that could be changed. The unalterable doctrine is like the Qur’anic text that is the source of the doctrine of Islam. As for the interpretation or understanding of the Qur’anic text includes something that can be changed in which it’s understanding is tailored to the needs of the ages.

Abstract

Study of the verses of Qur’an will never run out anytime, becauseQur’an is a salih likulli zaman wa makan that is always needed toanswer the problems of times. The purpose of this study is to find outthe essence of modern interpretation which presented by Mun’im(1971), while the type of research chosen in this study is a libraryresearch which is studied with an analytical-descriptive method topresent the explanations related to modern interpretation in Mun’imSirry’s view, assisted by Hans George Gadamer’s theory, especiallyin his pre-understanding theory and his horizon theory as a bridgeto dissect Sirry’s thoughts regarding modern interpretation. Theresult research show that the interpretation of Qur’an has beencontinuously carried out by mufasir or commentators to solve thechallenges modern era. By producing interpretive works that arecompatible with each era. In the interpretation Mun’im Sirry’s,not all interpretations which born in this modern era can becategorized as modern, modern interpretations is the extent ofthese interpretations that have contribution to modern reality. Hecontinued, the Quran interpretation at the moment is almost nodifferent from the classical interpretation.

Abstract

The Qur’an is uniquely presented in magical culture. Most people who consider the Qur’an was final and systematic, in the magical culture the Qur’an comes with a variety of forms, different arrangements of general habits, and is used for various practical needs. In contrast to the hafiz-oriented paradigm of memorizing and preserving the Qur’an, Majmu’atul-Munawwar offers a magical perspective that transforms fragments of the Qur’an in a unique form. So, how is the quranic fragment transformation in the magical culture of Majmu’atul-Munawwar? This research applies William A. Haviland’s theory. He says that cultural elements transformed into four mechanisms: discovery, diffusion, cultural loss, and acculturation. This research explains that the quranic fragment in the Majmu’atul-Munawwar can be categorized by two: minor and major. The final form of the Quran in the Mushaf Usmani reconstructed in magical culture. Quranic fragment in Majmu’atul-Munawwar shows that the Qur’an always been transformed in different cultural spaces. Therefore the transformation of the Qur’an is a need.

Abstract

Kajian Al-Qur’an saat ini tidak hanya berkutat dalam kajian teks saja. Kajian Al-Qur’an mulai dilakukan pada ranah dialektikanya dengan kehidupan masyarakat. Tradisi kompolan sabellesen K. Abdul Munir di Desa Gadu Timur termasuk salah satunya. Tradisi ini merupakan peninggalan dari sesepuh terdahulu yang tetap berkembang sampai saat ini. Untuk mencapai hasil dari fakta lapangan kompolan sabellesen di Gadu Timur, peneliti merumuskana dua hal. 1. Bagaimana kompolan sabellesen di Gadu Timur. 2. Bagaimana horizon ekspektasi atau cakrawala harapan dari QS. Al-Ikhlas pada kompolan sabellesen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis deskriptif. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis secara detail tentang latar belakang berdirinya kompolan sabellesen serta resepsi kultural masyarakat Gadu Timur terhadap ayat Al-Qur’an yang dimasukkan dalam ritus lokal berupa tradisi kompolan sabellesen dengan tetap berpijak pada teori resepsi Hans Robert Jauss dengan konsep horizon of expectation. Dengan hal ini dapat diketahui hasilnya yang disederhanakan sebagai berikut: 1) kompolan sabellesen di Gadu Timur termasuk salah satu tradisi yang berdiri atas inisiatif sesepuh dalam meningkatkan nilai keagamaan masyarakatnya. 2) horizon of expectation pada anggota kompolan sabellesen meliputi horizon cakrawala harapan sempit dan cakrawala harapan luas dengan mengindikasikan fungsi informatif dan performatif di dalam menunjukkan cakrawala harapan luas anggota kompolan sabellesen

Abstract

The development of science always walk on the roal with the media used. This also give color the history of tafsir in Indonesia. Marshall McLuhan said there are at least four divisions of media development in general, the tribal age, the age of literacy, the print age, and the electronic age. Based on the classifications of the McLuhan media era, it can be seen how the history of tafsir in Indonesia developed according to the media used, first, the era of oral tafsir which coincided with the islamization process where the application of Al-Qur’an values was conveyed through speaking. Secondary, the era of written tafsir which began to use paper as the medium and us handwriting. Third, the era of printed tafsir which uses a printing press as its main characteristic, such as books, magazines, and others. Fourth, the era of electronic tafsir which began to use electronic media such as tv and radio. Fifth, the era of online tafsir which is the development of the era of electronic tafsir. In this era, interpretation is carried out through online media such as YouTube, websites, social media and others.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi diera saat ini memang sedang berada dipuncaknya. Berbagai macam teknologi telah dirancang khusus untuk memudahkan setiap kegiatan manusia, terutama dalam bidang kajian tafsir Alqur’an dan hadits. Telah muncul beberapa software dan aplikasi guna menunjang kajian Alqur’an dan Hadits , salah satunya yaitu software aplikasi mausu’ah at-tafsir wa ‘ulumil qur’an. Software yang belum lama dipublikasikan ini memiliki beberapa manfaat dan keuntungan bagi si pengguna, software ini pula memiliki tata cara penggunaan tersendiri, baik dari proses download, install dan lain-lain.Karena itu tulisan ini dibuat untuk menerangkan secara sederhana bagaimana sejarah software ini dibuat, bagaimana cara penggunaannya, dan bagaimana keevektifitasnya. Dengan ini diharapkan pula software mausu’ah dapat bermanfaat bagi para pengguna khususnya dalam bidan kajian alqur’an dan hadits.

Abstract

This paper answers two main questions. First, how is the methodology used by Tafsir Al-Qur’an Tematik of the Ministry of Religion of RI to produce interpretations that can offer solutions to the problems of Umma? Second, what is the contextual interpretation of the current miscommunication?. These Questions arise because the various methods of interpretation that exist often indicate a large distance between the Qur’an and the problems of Umma. Al-Qur’an as a book of guidance is deemed not present to answer the challenges that come so that it becomes a book that does not show its relevance in every time and place as well as the development of mankind. Especially the problems of miscommunication that come along with technological sophistication and increase the interest of the Indonesian people towards social media. Cyberbullying, dispute of religious authority, plagiarism, massive provocation, and other problems arise because of miscommunication. Therefore, a solution is needed that can answer these problems through the signals contained in the Al-Qur’an. One of the tafsir that offers such a solution is Tafsir Al-Qur’an Tematik compiled by the LajnahPentashhihMushaf Al-Qur’an of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme “KomunikasidanInformasi”. This article examines this interpretation using descriptive analysis methods.

Abstract

The Philosophy Axis of the Yogyakarta Palace reflects the human journey from a fetus, a baby, growing into a child, a teenager then an adult human being, having a family, aging and finally dying. The complete journey of human life is reflected in the philosophical expression of Sangkan Paraning Dumadi as the teachings of Islam are innalillahi wa innailaihi roji'un (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:156). The philosophical concept of the heritage of the Javanese poets by Prince Mangkubumi is manifested in the form of the Yogyakarta Palace architecture. This article reviews the relationship of religion and culture with the Axis of Philosophy of Yogyakarta City within the framework of Javanese-Islamic typology through a phenomenology-hermeneutics of Husserlian-Heideggero-Gadamerian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa, pertama, pola penerjemahan kitab TIKMAL,yang disusun oleh Forum Mudzakarah Tafser al-Qur’an (FMTQ), yang terdiri dari ulama Madura, menggunakan pola penerjemahan dengan pola I’rāb. Pola i’rāb ini biasa hanya ditemukan pada kitab-kitab tafsir seperti keterangan-keterangan yang berhubungan dengan kata, kalimat, dan kandungan ayat. Keduan, kitab TIKMAL ini ditulis dengan dua aksara yaitu latin dan arab pegon yang masing-masing dipisah, hal ini bertujuan agar masyarakat yang hanya bisa baca salah satu tulisan “Arab Pegon dan Latin ” bisa membacanya. Ketiga, Kitab TIKMAL ini adalah terjemahan dari kitab tafsir al-Jalālain.

Abstract

This article is a study of codicology which aims to representation a characteristics of the Qur’anic manuscript of Ibrahim Ghozali (MKIG). Using a descriptive analytic method, this article has two main analysis, that is the physical of script and the writing style of script. Historically, MKIG has written at 19th century in Polorejo, Ponorogo. Based on the mold of watermark and countermark, showed that the paper used by MKIG is the European paper produced in Heelsum Netherlands in 1808. On writing rasm has found an inconsistency because use of two rasm at once, that is rasm ‘utsmānī and rasm ’imlā’i. While the qirā’at used is the reading of Imām ‘Āṣim narrative H}afś. Based on the characreristics of that writing, MKIG is a mushaf that has a lot of influence from mushaf writing tradition among javaness boarding school. Other side, MKIG is assumed can represent a copy of the mushaf based only on memorization, because found a several corrupt in the form of errors in writing letters and vowels which is exist in almost every surah.
