Abstract

This research is organizational culture, competence and teacher certification and teacher performance in Pulau Rimau. The sample in this study amounted to 34 rayon teachers 1 Rimau Island Sub-district. Data analysis in this research is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS For Windows program. Based on the data analysis stated that if there is an increase of organizational culture, competence and certification then the performance of teachers will increase. Organizational culture shows improvement of teacher performance while competence variable with teacher certification does not show improvement of teacher performance.

Abstract

Abstract—Innovative learning needs to be implemented to answer the challenges of the 21st century. To produce innovative learning, all learning components which include teachers, students, teaching materials, achievement of competencies, and evaluation of learning need to be innovated. The application of innovative aspects is explained in several examples of innovative learning models; includes models of inquiry learning, contextual, thematic, creative-productive, and higher-order thinking. The point is that innovative science learning is learning that can equip the accompaniment effect of learning which includes higher-order thinking and generic Science skills. In implementing innovative learning professional teachers are needed. Professional teachers have competence is in accordance with the competency standard in National Education Minister Regulation no 16/2007 and RI no 74/2008.Keywords—innovative learning, generic science skills, teacher professionalism Abstrak—Pembelajaran inovatif perlu dilaksanakan untuk menjawab tantangan abad ke 21 ini. Untuk menghasilkan pembelajaran inovatif, semua komponen pembelajaran yang meliputi guru, siswa, bahan ajar, capaian kompetensi, dan evaluasi pembelajaran perlu diinovasi. Penerapan aspek-aspek inovatif dijelaskan dalam beberapa contoh model pembelajaran inovatif; meliputi model pembelajaran inkuiri, kontekstual, tematik, kreatif- produktif, dan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Intinya pembelajaran Sains inovatif merupakan pembelajaran yang dapat membekalkan efek iringan pembelajaran yang meliputi berpikir tingkat tinggi dan keterampilan generik Sains. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran inovatif diperlukan guru yang profesional. Guru professional memiliki kompetensi sesuai dengan standard kompetensi dalam permendiknas no 16/2007 dan pp RI no 74/2008.Kata kunci— pembelajaran inovatif, keterampilan generik Sains, profesionalisme guru

Abstract

Abstract—Principal has a very important role in school management. High and low quality of the school can not be separated from the role of the Principal. Qualified or professional principals are able to show good performance and have an impact on improving the quality of the school they lead, therefore it is highly demandedby the principal's support in managing and managing all available resources including managing the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program. The purpose of this study was to determine the School Literacy Movement Program (GLS) in SMP Negeri 9 Prabumulih and the support given by the school principal. This research is a type of qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews. The effort to implement literacy has been developed by the Head of SMP Negeri 9 Prabumulih by various ways including the program to enter the library once a week, collection of books in the library, reading corners, making reading halls, wall magazines, selection of reading ambassadors, and putting up posters about literacy and bring a mobile library from the Prabumulih City Library. The School Literacy Movement (GLS) program has been running well even though it still requires more tangible and continuous follow-up. The benefits of this research are in addition to knowledge, references or contributions of ideas to add insight into the world of education. Keyword—-School Literacy Movement (GLS), school principal support Abstrak—Kepala Sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam pengelolaan sekolah. Tinggi rendahnya kualitas sekolah tidak lepas dari peran Kepala Sekolah. Kepala Sekolah yang berkualitas atau profesional mampu menunjukkan kinerja yang baik dan berdampak pada meningkatnya kualitas sekolah yang dipimpinnya, karena itu sangat dituntut dukungan kepala sekolah dalam mengatur dan mengelola semua sumber daya yang ada termasuk mengelola program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) di SMP Negeri 9 Prabumulih serta dukungan yang diberikan kepala sekolah.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara.Upaya pelaksanaan literasi sudah dikembangkan oleh Kepala SMP Negeri 9 Prabumulih dengan melakukan berbagai cara yaitu antaralain programmasuk perpustakaa nsetiap satu minggu sekali, koleksi buku di perpustakaan, pojok baca,  membuat pondok baca, majalah dinding, pemilihan duta baca, dan memasang poster tentang literasi serta mendatangkan perpustakaan keliling dari Perpustakaan Kota Prabumulih. Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) ini telah berjalan dengan baik meskipun begitu masih memerlukan tindak lanjut yang lebih nyata dan berkesinambungan. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah sebagai tambahan ilmu pengetahuan,rujukanatausumbangan pemikiran untuk menambah wawasan dalam dunia pendidikan. Kata Kunci—Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS), dukungan kepala sekolah

Abstract

Volunteer abroad programs for students have many challenges but also contribute to the development of human resources in the future. This paper aims to explain the volunteer program of students to abroad and their contribution to the internationalization of higher education. The study was conducted on four informants who participated in volunteer programs abroad and a NGO of volunteer programs through interview techniques and documentation. The research findings show that student volunteer programs abroad developped the international reputation of a university by seeing (1) the process of becoming a volunteer begins with collaboration between institutions, registration, selection and placement of participants; (2) volunteers conduct work programs in the fields of education and social affairs on an international scale; (3) this program greatly impacts the development of knowledge and social work experience of participants which impacts on career development in professional field; (4) volunteer programs are also an important point in developing university international cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership characteristics of principals in improving teacher performance. This research was conducted using inductive qualitative methods. Data collection is done by interview, observation, documentation study, and study of research results. The results of this study indicate that the leadership characteristics of principals who can improve teacher performance include 1) educational staff capacity building programs through training, workshops, seminars and Subject Matter Teacher Discussion (SMTD);  2) the ability of the principal to carry out the process of control, guidance and supervision; 3) giving motivation; 4) good communication; and 5) democratic leadership style.

Abstract

Abstract— The purpose of this study is to describe the collection of poetry of graduation of grass roots works of wiji thukul. The method used in this study is a descriptive method while the approach used is a structural approach, namely an approach that seeks to understand the poetry of the structure attached to the poem in the form of a layer of norms in a poem creation. The data source taken is the collection of Grassroots Song poetry by Wiji Thukul. The data analysis technique in this study is this content analysis technique that attempts to analyze documents to find out the contents and meaning contained in the document. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the collection of Grassroots Song of Wiji Thukul's poetry has a norm strata that examines five levels, namely the sound layer, the meaning layer, the world layer, the object layer, the metaphysical layer. The poems mostly reveal the events of different human life and reveal real life or the ongoing reality in human life. The suggestions presented by the author are that Wiji Thukul's Song of Grassroots poetry should be read, lived, and analyzed. As well as the authors express should this collection of poems be studied with different approaches..Keywords— Study of Strata Norma, Nyayian Akar Rumput Poetry, Wiji ThukulAbstrak— Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kumpulan puisi nyanyian akar rumput karya wiji thukul. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan struktural, yaitu pendekatan yang berusaha memahami puisi dari struktur yang melekat pada puisi tersebut yang berupa lapis norma dalam suatu ciptaan puisi. Sumber data yang diambil yaitu kumpulan puisi Nyanyian Akar Rumput karya Wiji Thukul.Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis konten ini berusaha menganalisis dokumen untuk diketahui isi dan makna yang terkandung dalam dokumen tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kumpulan puisi Nyanyian Akar Rumput karya Wiji Thukul memiliki strata norma yang mengkaji lima tingkatan yaitu lapis bunyi, lapis arti, lapis dunia, lapis objek, lapis metafisis. Puisi-puisi tersebut sebagian besar mengungkapkan peristiwa hidup manusia yang berbeda-beda dan mengungkapkan kehidupan nyata atau realitas yang sedang berlangsung sekarang ini dalam kehidupan manusia. Adapun saran yang disampaikan penulis yaitu hendaknya kumpulan puisi Nyanyian Akar Rumput karya Wiji Thukul perlu dibaca, dihayati, dan dianalisis. Serta penulis mengungkapkan hendaknya kumpulan puisi ini dikaji dengan pendekatan yang berbeda.Kata kunci — Kajian Strata Norma, Puisi Nyayian Akar Rumput, Wiji Thukul

Abstract

Abstract— The development of technology and information has become an unavoidable phenomenon. In fact, the development of technology and information has an effect on all fields or aspects of people's lives. In the field of education, Kahoot can be an innovative and creative new media as a method of learning and evaluating students learning outcomes at school. Kahoot is an online game application in the form of quizzes or questions that have been prepared. This research is in the form of literature study by making previous research as a reference and research material. In addition, this study also aims to provide information related to the benefits and systems of using Kahoot as a creative and innovative medium for student learning and evaluation. Keywords— Kahoot, Learning Media, Evaluating Students  Abstrak— Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi menjadi fenomena yang tidak dapat dihindari. Pada kenyataannya, perkembangan teknologi dan informasi ini turut berpengaruh pada segala bidang atau aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Dalam bidang pendidikan, Kahoot dapat menjadi media baru yang inovatif dan kreatif sebagai metode pembelajaran dan mengevaluasi hasil pembelajaran siswa di sekolah. Kahoot merupakan aplikasi permainan online berupa kuis-kuis atau pertanyaan yang telah disiapkan. Penelitian ini berbentuk studi literatur dengan menjadikan penelitian terdahulu sebagai acuan dan bahan penelitian. Abstract

The moral development and character of the nation is closely related to the improvement of the quality of education development and the improvement of people's welfare. In connection with the implementation of education, the government has determined to make education as the main foundation in fostering and nurturing the positive character of the nation. This study used qualitative descriptive. This research helps to find the character gotong royong (Work Hard) on student self done in SMA Puspita Kecamatan Air Kumbang Banyuasin Regency. Data obtained through documentation, observation, and interviews with Principal SMA Puspita. The results of this study explained that in SMA Puspita Kecamatan Air Kumbang Banyuasin district students have a character of hard work through mutual assistance activities. Based on the character obtained from Pancasila which is interpreted from the third principle of the unity of Indonesia which is a form of mutual cooperation.

Abstract

A principal as a supervisor has to conduct supervision in his/her school. Hence he/she must be able to perform a variety of monitoring and control to improve the performance of teachers. Supervision and control are preventive ways to prevent teachers to do irregularities and thus will be more careful in carrying out his work as educators. This research is intended to study supervision activities performed by principal of SD Negeri 8 Pulau Rimau. The methodology of this reseach is descriptive qualitative approach. Source of data obtained from transcript from interviews conducted to teachers and Principal of SD Negeri 8 Pulau Rimau. Technique of data collection using interview techniques, observation, and document. The results of this research show several findings: 1). The focus of supervision activities performed by principal can be identified in two things i.e supervision activities concerning the teachers’ administration and teachers’ teaching practices; 2). Supervision activity is useful for teachers to solve educational problems at the time of learning, and to provide motivation for them to improve the knowledge to become professionals in teaching and learning process; 3). Principal’s barriers in supervision consists of overlapping activities and lack of operational budget.

Abstract

Abstract— Globalisasi yang diikuti dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang semakin cepat juga menjadi pemicu utama akulturasi budaya Barat terhadap budaya tradisi. Masyarakat Indonesia masa kini, yaitu masa teknologi informasi membutuhkan rekonstruksi pemikiran, persepsi, serta nilai dasar realitas yang berlaku. Visi realitas baru didasarkan atas kesadaran akan saling-terhubung dan saling-tergantung semua fenomena fisik, biologis, psikologis, sosial, seni dan budaya. Akademisi bidang seni yang berkecimpung dalam pendidikan seni budaya di Indonesia diharapkan mampu beradaptasi terus menerus dengan perkembangan zaman tanpa menghilangkan peran aktif nilai-nilai luhur budaya bangsa yang terbukti mampu menjadi tempat ziarah sekaligus membawa peserta didik berhasil memasuki lorong dari masa kini hingga ke arah masa depan dengan kreativitas yang progresif dan dinamis. Kesenian tradisional memiliki pola atau pakem yang membuat kesenian itu menjadi khas. Namun pakem itu bukanlah aturan mati melainkan dapat dijadikan potensi yang dapat berkembang, berubah dan bercampur satu sama lainnya. Seni tradisi secara alami mampu mengakomodasi perubahan isi sesuai dengan kepentingan situasi. Keywords— Budaya Global, Akademisi Seni Abstrak— Globalization, which is followed by the rapid development of information and communication technology, is also a major trigger for the acculturation of Western culture towards traditional culture. Today's Indonesian society, namely the age of information technology requires the reconstruction of thought, perception, and the basic values of prevailing reality. The vision of the new reality is based on the consciousness of interconnected and interdependent all physical phenomena, biological, psychological, social, artistic and cultural. Art academics who are involved in arts education in Indonesia are expected to be able to adapt continuously with the times without eliminating the active role of noble values of the nation's culture that proved to be a place of pilgrimage as well as bringing students successfully enter the hall from the present to the future with a progressive and dynamic creativity. Traditional art has a pattern or grip that makes the art becomes distinctive. But the standard is not a dead rule but can be a potential that can develop, change and mix with each other.
