Abstract

Payung Kertas Village located at Pandanwangi Village, on the bank of the Bango river. The preliminary research showed that the environmental care behavior of residents of the riverbank area is to be low considering. Many residents choose to throw garbage directly in the river, construction residential houses in the Kali Sari watershed, and several indicator of the lack of environmental awareness of watershed residents. Awareness-raising will be easier to do when activities are started, designed, and carried out by communities with social problems. The aims of this community service is to empower communities to solve social problems. The formation of environmentally conscious communities is carried out through a tiered process by encouraging active citizen involvement. The method used in the fomation rof environmental care communities is carried out with a social intervention approach that utilizes action research. Social change is carried out by emphasizing three stages namely the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. As a result of this community service, a community caring for the environment was formed with the first movement in the form of sorting waste from inside the house, synergizing with waste transport officers, and periodically monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the environmental care movement.

Abstract

The amount of plastic waste around the Mranggen Market and Pondok Pesantren K.H. Murodi Mranggen Demak is a cause for concern. Good waste management so that plastic waste has use value and is beneficial for the environment around Islamic boarding schools is the goal in this service. The methods used are: problem mapping, design, manufacture, operation test, operation assistance and marketing training for production products. The strategy used to make plastic waste valuable is by conducting training in making variations of plastic waste product crafts with Eco-Bricks made into chairs, flower vases, bags, wallets, prayer mats and others. In addition, it is to strengthen good waste management among students. The results of this santripreneur activity are 1) Santri feel excited to understand and do entrepreneurship/studentpreneurs from an early age; 2) students understand the importance of processing waste and the importance of providing added value to products made from plastic waste, 3) 80 percent of students are able to make variations of crafts from plastic waste and 20 percent still need further assistance, 4) marketing is carried out in collaboration with MSMEs in Indonesia. Semarang and Demak so that it can make passive income for students.

Abstract

Mlati Norowito Village, Kudus Regency has a waste bank, namely the Sekar Melati Waste Bank. The Sekar Melati Waste Bank plays an active role in processing waste, especially non-organic waste. Sekar Melati Waste Bank has produced processed non-organic waste in the form of bags and tissue holders. This product is marketed outside Java. The marketing carried out is still in the form of word of mouth and traditional marketing. The purpose of this community service is to help increase the income and welfare of Sekar Melati Waste Bank partners in Kudus Regency by utilizing information technology, especially in the field of marketing based on e-marketing and business to business. The methods used are: lectures, training, and mentoring. The results achieved are: 1) partners understand well the benefits of B2B, e-marketing, and e-commerce; 2) partners have social media accounts to conduct e-marketing so as to cut labor costs, advertising costs and so on;3) partners understand how to create an account and make sales on e-commerce or market places.

Abstract

Self-business micro which can live, survive through generation, and reach the dream is the expectation from the owner. There are many factors which can determine the success of the businessman to fight from the competition. One factor is the ability to respond the internal and external changes rapidly and exactly. The ability to win the competition, the ability to read the situation, the ability to collaborate with other to have a synergy, and the ability to adapt from the competition are the keys toward the business sustainability. This community service aims to test the model of business training based on the concept of magnet rejeki which can give a significant influence toward the motivation of micro business. The method of the study is development model by entrepreneurship training that are integrated input by including the businessman on factors which influence their motivation in the beginning of their business, the business motivation training based on the concept of magnet rejeki, and visit business collaboration and monitoring. The result of this study give the conclusion that the business training based on the concept of magnet rejeki is effective to conduct by the proof that there is an increase of motivation to have a business and business profit after the training.

Abstract

Jungsemi is a village that has a beautiful beach. The village is currently under development to become a jetski sports center. This village also has a takraw club. The objectives of community service are: (1) providing knowledge and theories about Sport Entrepreneurs and Injury Management with a Sport Massage Approach. (2) providing Sport massage skills for prevention, health and healing, and (3) providing skills and opportunities for residents to open a Sport massage business. The method used in this program are lecture, discussion, demonstration, and practice. Activity of handling injury with Sport Massage Approach for the People of Jungsemi Village, Kangkung District Kendal Regency, was held in the hall of Platar Village Hall with 35 people participating. The results of the activities are as follows: (1) residents of Jungsemi Village, Kangkung Subdistrict, Kendal District 2020, realize that Sport Entrepreneurs and massage in handling injuries with the Sports Massage approach, (2) Platar villagers are satisfied with the results of the training and expect training to be held at the stages more broadly about the knowledge of handling injury with sport massage

Abstract

Thalassemia major patients with routine transfusions are at risk of experiencing iron overload and bone turn over disorders which will increase the risk of osteoporosis. Community training activities with BMD examinations and osteoporosis exercise training in thalassemia major patients are expected to identify the prevalence of bone fragility in thalassemia major patients, increase the awareness of thalassemia major patients and their families to the risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia major patients and osteoporosis exercise training as an effort to prevent osteroporosis. The results of BMD on the spine showed 57.1% osteoporosis, 28.6% normal and 14.3% osteopenia. The results of BMD examination on the cervical spine showed 71.4% osteopenia, 21.4% normal and 7.2% osteoporosis. The results of BMD examination on the femur found 50% normal, 42.8% osteopenia and 7.2% osteoporosis. The bone location with the highest percentage of osteoporosis was the spine (57%), and the bone location with the highest percentage of osteopenia was the neck bone (71.4%). The high percentage of osteopenia locations in the cervical spine of thalassemia major patients with repeated transfusions should be become a concern. Based on these findings, we held education and counselling on the risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia patients with repeated transfusions, osteoporosis exercise training and distribution of osteoporosis exercise compact disk (CD) for at home osteoporosis exercise training.

Abstract

Understanding of finance is important, especially for people who want to invest, it is aimed at obtaining maximum returns or returns from investments. The condition of the selected service partners, namely students and the general public who have an interest in investing, currently do not really understand personal finance so they are unable to manage their own finances which results in not understanding how to start investing. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the importance of understanding personal finance so as to be able to measure the extent to which personal financial conditions can be used to invest in the Indonesian capital market to service partners, namely young potential investors. The training activities are carried out in the computer laboratory of STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang with lecture, question and answer methods, and practice. The material for the activity consists of the basic theory of financial management, introduction to investment, fundamental and technical analysis, and trading simulations. The results of this activity are: 1) service partners have a new understanding of financial literacy and personal finance well; 2) partners are better prepared when they are going to invest in shares or trade in the capital market; 3) the interest of partners to be able to invest is higher than before.

Abstract

The increase prevalence of speech and language disorders, which greatly affects the quality of life of a child. The role of educational institutions, especially teachers, is needed in early detection of these disorders. Early detection abilities must be based on the ability to understand a child's speech and language development. Community Service Activities are carried out at the Idayu 2 Malang Special School, by providing training to teachers on speech and language development and early detection methods. The method used is the provision of material followed by an examination of the students status growth ad development. There was an increase in the teacher's ability after the activity was carried out, which was marked by an increase in the average pretest and postest results: 61.15 to 86.54. On examination of the student's growth status, the nutritional status of the majority of students was found to be good nutrition (61%), but the short stature rate was also quite large (49%). The condition of children with special needs with physical limitations greatly affects their growth and development, so that the role of the environment is needed for optimal development, including parents and educational institutions.

Abstract

Empowerment is one of the strategies used in community development at this time. it can increase knowledge and power to reach a state of empowerment. Efforts to empower these vulnerable groups are carried out by PT PLN (Persero) Tanjung Jati B Generation Main Unit through a CSR program, namely the Sadifa Jepara Group. This empowerment program leads to strengthening the economy of the disabled community through various activities such as making herbal drinks, various types of soap, hand sanitizer, convection businesses, basic food businesses, and others. In addition, the activities carried out include training on strengthening MSMEs, providing equipment assistance, opportunities to develop networks by means of mass media publications as well as initiatives for sustainable and environmentally friendly economic activities. This service used 4-pillars model approach, namely the community as a supporting system and community activities, MSME Center, Communication and Cooperation Center, and the development of environmentally friendly products.
